I LOVE it! This is a market I have never seen before, the food was good, the atmosphere was great and the chefs and the service was wonderful! There was a place in the timeout market call pasta de nata I think it was call and there was my first time eating egg tart in Portugal . A lot of people say that the seats was hard to find but my family saw a 4 seats as fast as speed of light. There were also a restaurant in the timeout market which serve a Portuguese lamb chop with rice and it was absolutely DELICIOUS ! I enjoy this market and I recommend this market to everyone!

If you come to Lisbon you MUST go to the Time Out Market! We went twice we enjoyed it so much. For all Lisbon's history, monuments and lovely winding hilly streets this place is a wonderful modern, social food palace. I'm just glad friends told us about it before we came or we may have missed out. My advice - go for your evening meal here but do what the Portuguese would do and don't eat before 9pm!! If you arrive at 9.30pm although still busy you will probably get a seat for two of you. If in a group arrive after 10pm. It's a melee of some of the tastiest street food Lisbon has to offer all under one roof. Find a seat amongst the long benches and then send out someone as a satellite to bring back bits of food and drink from stalls that interest you. Repeat this several times until you can barely move. We went on a Monday (and Tuesday) evening and it was very busy but we loved the bustle and we stayed there till nearly midnight both times.

this place is trendy but very popular. Too popular in my opinion. There aren't enough seats for all the people and it is hard to find a spot to sit if you are in a bigger group. I suggest to find a seat first and then one at time go and order your food, otherwise you will end up wandering with your tray around the whole market. There is a big choice and some stands are changing time to time, therefore is always nice to go there and try new offers. I will suggest to visit this place for an early/late meal to avoid the rush hour.

one of my few 5 star experiences, absolutely fun to come here despite the tons of tourists (incl. us) have a good time here. The taste sensations you can explore here are endless to the Regards that one outlet has already so many to choose from, plus the beer and wine selections the constant friendly smiling, natural welcoming service, incredible and certainly unique. The lobster outlet was even for my other European and American pricing exposure way out of line, but there were many other delicious choices. In my experience a must to experience and rule #1 if you are excited and truly enjoy the moment, they will pay you back with more than smile and friendliness.

So many options I was overwhelmed! This is a great place to set the time and tone of your own meal. I went on a Saturday afternoon for a few quick bites, and also on a Saturday night for dinner. Think of it as self service tapas, you can go try bites from many different vendors at your own speed and hunger level.
Saturday evening had dance music playing, which made it a great hangout for even just drinking wine.
My only complaint is on the afternoon trip I made you had to hunt and fight for seats. Not exactly a relaxing lunch.

Do not go there . It is packed with tourists and lisbon youppies who pay to much for the food being served . Instead go to the "mercado de campo de ourique", this one is visited by portugese locals and serves good food and drinks at the correct price.

Fantastic place and lots of restaurants, make sure to find a seat for you and family as this place is always packed. Leave one person holding the seats and go get food. Also there are some great places for desserts, including the best cake in the world.

This is not your traditional Marketplace, although at some point in time I'm sure it was. It has been renovated and is now a modern and very functional and lovely place to visit. Certainly over 20 individual food stalls surveying everything from coffee, cake, seafood and steak. Everything just looks so delicious difficult to control yourself on a budget. On top of that, there is an organic farmers market right inside as well!

Pro tip: It can get incredibly busy and crowded during the peak times, so decide what you want early and have somebody else save your seats

If you love food, this place is a must! So many amazing food options. Great open air feel. I ordered a poke bowl from Confraria. It was phenomenal at only 10 . A great place for an informal tasty lunch.

Came back for dinner the next day. We ordered an 8 snack sampler plate at Marlene Vieira (4 starters, 4 apps), easily some of the best food we ate in Portugal!

I'd give it 936274 stars if I could! I love Time Out and the variety of places to eat, I spend so much time here! There's so much choice and the vibrant atmosphere is enticingly hypnotic. No matter what you fancy eating, there's something for everyone.

Located down by the waterfront. The vendors have a variety of local foods. Starts quiet in the morning but is really busy later in the evening. The market is wide open and clean. Easy to enjoy your meal and a glass of wine.

Incredible variety of choice. Good quality of food at affordable prices. Always crowed, having a place to sit is a challenge even for a single person. Really trendy and vibrant ambiance. So many options to choose from. Well organized, clean, helpful. I went twice during my stay.

Great atmosphere, great food. The only downside is the battle for seats! Seating is in the middle, almost American mall style, and can be a wait to get a seat. But otherwise, excellent spot, well worth visiting.

Always packed. Finding and getting a table can become a stressful situation. Holding your friends spot while they are scattered around fending for food also takes away from a nice night out.
It's great to have all those food stalls and options boot in the end the experience isn't comfortable at all. Much rather go to a typical portuguese tasca, be seated and enjoy the company of my friends.
I'd suggest having dinner somewhere else and going there for quick dessert it drink that doesn't evolve getting a table.

Didn t really like the experience here. It s so hard to get a table and when you do people are vicious with seats. They snap at you when you politely ask if a seat is free (I mean its fine, just don t be harsh about it) everyone just seems very on edge about saving seats. The food was good but nothing spectacular and prices are steep. Just the attitude of a lot of people made it hard to enjoy.

Wish more places had a time out market. The concept is fantastic, and it's nice to see that a lot of the places are legitimately good food establishments and not just touristy. We tried the croquette place, the tartare place, had some drinks, an eclair and bought some wine for later. Really cool spot.

Yes there's tourists, yes it's not the cheapest food, but it's great value and an easy and fun way to try a bunch of the best foods/restaurants in Lisboa. Def worth a visit if you can go on a weekday and miss the crowds

Very nice place for having diner, various little shops with excellent meals. Prices are mostly ok, sometimes expensive but definitely worth a try if you're nearby. It is also very close to the boardwalk with a lot of cool places to sit nearby the water and to enjoy your takeway food.

Decidedly average to poor, a disappointing experience. Food was average and not worth the money, ambience was totally lacking, music selection was poor, too busy, awful vibe. A tourist trap not worth visiting when there are so many wonderful restaurants in Lisbon to try.

Fun place with great food and drinks at fair prices. Theres a big dance floor in the center of the dining hall. It gets poppin and sets the tone for the crowd. Lots of smiles around the whole place. We plan on visiting again.

Great selection of food from multiple different vendors.

Lots of seating available and great for a lunch time treat.
Plenty of alcohol selections too.

The only downside is that there's too much choice!

Great atmosphere and would certainly visit again.

Excellent choice for dinner- there are various food stalls lining the inside serving cuisines from all over the world with cafeteria style seating in the middle. There are also a few stalls dedicated completely to drinks. A cool experience or great place to checkout if you can't agree on a place to eat.

Neatly organized market with many shops and choices. The food is delicious but the price is clearly ripping off tourists... It is very helpful that everything has English translation and people at the stores can speak English.
