Nice crowded place with all kinds of good stuff to eat and drink
Good food, great choice, nice wines, cool athmosphere.
Nice place for food variety, convenient for a quick bite.
If you go to Lisbon this is the place to visit if you enjoy food as much as I do. Plenty to choose from. The only down point is that it is always crowded and hard to find a seat.
Excellent spot in the centre of Lisbon with a large number of food and drinks outlets seeking everything from traditional Portuguese food to pizza slices and Asian inspired dishes. Be prepared to grab the free spots at the tables when they're free as it always seems to be really busy.
Nice variety of restaurants. Decent prices. Touristy
Highly recommended if your in Lisbon. Wide variety of dishes from around the world. Reasonably priced and delicious food.
Busy place. Lots of action. Lots of choice of food and drink and great atmosphere (once u found a place to sit). We also had top pastel de nata and croquettes there.
Slightly kitch but it has a great atmosphere. A bit of an elbow fight to get to some of the more popular stalls but the food is generally good in terms of quality.
Fantastic place, well designed with loads of food options and large central seating area. The custard tarts are delicious!
So many options for food and drink.
Definitely a place I'd come back to.
They did great with space dividers and such for covid
I would need 10 (20?) visits to really review it - lots and lots of choice, and all of it looked awesome. I was with a big group, but sadly, not a group who was into sharing. My own (Japanese) food was yummy!
Great varieties of food. Looks like an upper class market which you could try plenty of stuff there. It's always packed so it was very difficult to find seatings. For non-portugese, it could be challenging to order what you want, though some shops have english menu.
Fantastic atmosphere and stunning selection of food
Amazing choice of food outlets. Very busy and popular each of the 3 times we visited over the course of a week.
Really cool food market.
Great atmosphere
Slightly slow on clearing tables
A good selection of food choices however not ideal for large groups. Even with 4 people (no matter the time we went) it was very difficult to get seats.
Food choices are good, but expensive for lisbon standards
Disappointed by food stall of Joao Rodrigues. They don't know the most fundamental of sea food prep to remove gut line of prawns.
If I had time there I would have returned the meal.
Shame as the stock flavor of the dish was good.
But I expected better quality for the price in this food court.
Absolutely fantastic venue. Lots of local cuisine to try and reasonably priced.
Great concept. Perfect food court. Fun to eat there.
Plenty of food options with generous sitting area. A must try in Lisbon.
Terrible market , when from market is nothing here. Trap for tourist with overpriced food. Don t waste you time.
A lot of people, no places to sit.
Nothing special sadly. Mostly tourist type restaurants. Had hopes for Street food so I may have been tainted from that
We had a good time.. like.all.their locations it's a tourist trap.ans pricey
Awesome experience, lots of places to eat and a few shops on the sides that were interesting however, if you like your personal space and not being around a extremely large amount of people the entire time you are in there then it s probably not the place for you.
Amazing selection of food and drink to suit all budgets. Great because each of your party can choose from a different restaurant and you can eat really good quality food together at the communal seating. Gets incredibly busy at peak times but we always managed to find a seat. You can also just stop off for great beer or a cocktail or coffee and Portuguese treats.
So much choice from the food to the wine! Highly recommend for any visitor plenty of local and foreign cuisine, something for everybody, no one will go home disappointed
It's is one of the truest area nice place for truest
Crowded spot engineered entirely for tourists. Ok food, but overpriced.
FOOD! We went there 3 times and each time it was fricking awesome! Don't listen to the people who complain in their reviews. This place is great not only because of the variety and quality, but also because of it's vibe! Sure it's self-service, sure it will sometimes take a little time to find a place to sit, but it's nothing to complain about because you'll get very well made food from the best chefs for very reasonable price.
Very crowded, "touristic", but worth to visit.
Great atmosphere, fantastic food.
One of the best food market in Europe :-)
Interessting place i like to watch and just soak in the atmosphere, but to be honest, the real bars and restaurants are not in there
Perfect place. We went to O Surf & Turf which was absolutely gorgeous!
Food hall with various fairly expensive restaurants but also a couple of coffee docks.Best bet the pata de nata shop where you can see these being made on the spot. Best to go early.Rick Stein liked this place.
Busy and there is plenty of quality casual places to eat.
Great street food. Many options. Just the toilets are quite dirty.
Excellent place to taste good Portuguese food an a good wine. The prices are quite above the average and may be difficult to find seats.
Average food variety. Extremely busy which results in a long waiting time to place an order and also having your meal prepared.
Quite expensive for relative small meals as well. The food tastes good though.
The quality of the various food stalls are very inconsistent. Some places are amazing while some places are just meh. Honestly, the concept is great but the execution needs work. For the price, I honestly would recommend going to a family restaurant for an actual authentic experience- nicer sit down, quiet and more immersive.
Lots of choice of food and fresh flowers on the tables. Nice, interesting place to try a variety of Portuguese and world food.
Food is good but don't even think of sitting down.
There is no crowd control at all and they let in two or three times their capacity, so you'll end up eating your dinner sitting up.
People squat three or four seats while drinking water and no one does a thing.
This place is a foodies heaven - a massive warehouse like facility with an array of stalls serving anything from seafood, burgers, sushi, pasta to traditional Portuguese pastries, desserts and craft beer. There is food for everyone so a great meeting point for the most particular of people. What s more is that due to covid-19 they ve introduced a cap to how many people enter, contactless payment systems and automated hand disinfectors on entrance. Hence it doesn t become overly crowded.
Extreme variety of food of good quality.
For the rest is just an overpriced ( very much so) tourist trap that will push Lisboa prices higher. ( At least the time out market of Ribeira)
I paid for a tartare on a tray I had to carry in an overcrowded gallery the same price I pay in Zurich seated in a restaurant.
Big Mac index Switzerland 6.62 euro average per Big Mac
Portugal Big Mac Index 3.67
Just to give you an idea of what I mean with overpricing.
Plus there is implemented a terrible concept of free to seat tables which leads to people sitting in advance and hoarding chairs while others gather the food.
In a mid season day was already a crowded mess and we had to split to find a seat and had to wander with food in hand.
Though this has more to do with the local council requests and who agreed on such a tasteless design rather than the operator of the market area, renovation of the market itself is also very much oriented towards a mall-like open area with no respect of local architecture.
Long story short, unless you want to be ripped for (at least decent) food in an anonymous court that could be anywhere in any shopping mall, I recommend to look for local restaurants in the surroundings, not immediately on the streets around but just slightly more inside. They will be cheaper and - on average- of good quality.
Very nice place. You have to go there. Good food in most of the restaurants inside
Good food but quite expensive. And difficult to find a spot to seat this place is over crowded
Great place to sit down, eat something, talk and drink wine
The place to go in Lisbon to buy food.
Prices are a bit expensive though.
When in Lisbon, you cannot miss to visit TimeOut MARKET to satisfy your food cravings. You can a large number of choices for starters, main course, dessert, drinks. It's open till around 11 PM. So, go and experience this place for yourself
Such a large variety of food, there is something for everyone! This place can get very busy and hard to find a spot to sit. Try the codfish balls and the tarts!
You really have a huge choice of food and what we bought was great. But it was really overcrowded, we spend 10 minutes finding a place to sit.
Pricier, but good quality fast food. After dinner you are also very close to the Cais de Sodre and Pink Street Bar areas.
Best burgers and incredible fries with rosmary and garlic!
Good selection of foods. Nice atmosphere. Kind of overpriced.
Very interesting with lots of different kind of food, also yummy cakes, coffee, ham and seafood, you can also get a great sangria here too
Lots of great choices. If you hear a bell ringing get to the warm Pastel de Natas at Manteigaria immediately.
Great great place! Great food! Great atmosphere! Cool vibe! Plenty of different places to choose from! A must for foodies in Lisbon!
Nice place for Lunch or Dinner, the prices are reasonable. We have been there twice - one time the food was good, the other not. So you have to chose the Restaurant carefully.
Great vibe, amazing variety of fresh and delicious treats. A little pricey but well worth it.
Beautiful experience. A great way to have a decent meal with young kids in tow. We enjoyed the food on three different occasions and tried different counters and were always happy with our discovery.
A lot of restaurants inside one big place! Different food with good taste
Cool little spot. Happy people, lots of options. Cheap prices.
It was amazing! There was no competition. A markt (food) place like this should be in every country. Just all kind of restaurants were represented and of course the famous pasteis de nata, delicious!
Great selection of food. I deducted 1 star because it is a little expensive for lisbon
Good food for the price, eay better then in some restorans in town.
Perfect for lunch or dinner. Nice, modern atmosphere with good local food. Also good for pasteis.
A sampling of the great variety of Portuguese food, all in one place. What a superb way of getting a bird's eye view of the cuisine of Portugal! Good food and drinks, reasonable prices and a great ambience. It can get crowded during peak hours, so it is recommended to come a bit early.
The food is decent, but the whole experience sucks. You get a place full of people, with no tables to sit on (there's no food sold there, you can eat while standing).
My type of place. Enjoyed these types of markets in South America. Fresh produce, seafood, beef, pork and restaurants and cafes to prepare & serve.
Soooo good!!!!
Pick whatever you want.... something for everyone!
If you're a foodie....this is the place for youuuu
A lot of choices, great food, can be busy, but its worth the taste
So many great food and alcohol choices. Open late. Great pace
Lovely place but we choose the wrong stall to eat. Sardines were old and codfish really small. Great atmosphere we were just unlucky
Amazing place, huge choice of quality food, don't miss it if you visit Lisboa !
So much delicious food! Even if you would go there 4times a week you still would find something new to eat
Went there two nights in a row. We tried different dishes from different Chefs at Time Out Market. Everything is cooked fresh. It's mainly tourists eating here and therefor a bit pricier
Cool for a drink but a bit pricey and unusual food choices. Not really for a casual lunch.
A good place to stop for a break when walking through the city. You can get a quick bite, a nice glass of wine, a sweet something or even a full dinner. There are some tables available and some high chairs, but be advised that the place is always crowded so you might have to wait for a place to sit.
The prices are a bit high, but the quality of the products is really good and there's a lot of options.
The only negative thing about the place is that sometimes there are weird, awful smells around the market.
Great food court with lots of opportunities to mix ... Don't just buy at one stand but go out and chose different plates from different stands and mix it all up. Watch out for heavy traffic times ... Gets loud and queued
Nice food especially the burgers & the pasteis de nata
Good food everywhere. Well worth a visit. Vibrant place with very upscale toilets.
Every Year I just gotta come back to the market. It is a cornerstone to our Lisbon visits!
Too crowded, quite hard to find a place to eat and more expensive than normal. But the food was food.
Very good food and lots of choices but quite busy and very hard to find a place to sit. Find a chair before you order food!!
Really loved this place. Delicious food! Just be prepared to search for a seat for a while. It's community style seating and it gets very crowded.
