For the rest is just an overpriced ( very much so) tourist trap that will push Lisboa prices higher. ( At least the time out market of Ribeira)

I paid for a tartare on a tray I had to carry in an overcrowded gallery the same price I pay in Zurich seated in a restaurant.

Just to give you an idea of what I mean with overpricing.

Plus there is implemented a terrible concept of free to seat tables which leads to people sitting in advance and hoarding chairs while others gather the food.
In a mid season day was already a crowded mess and we had to split to find a seat and had to wander with food in hand.

Though this has more to do with the local council requests and who agreed on such a tasteless design rather than the operator of the market area, renovation of the market itself is also very much oriented towards a mall-like open area with no respect of local architecture.

Long story short, unless you want to be ripped for (at least decent) food in an anonymous court that could be anywhere in any shopping mall, I recommend to look for local restaurants in the surroundings, not immediately on the streets around but just slightly more inside. They will be cheaper and - on average- of good quality.
