Man do I hate crowds. If it wasn't quite so crowded, and I didn't have to hunt for a seat, prowling like a lion waiting on the unsuspecting diner to leave, this place would be a solid 5-Star location.

After a day in Lisbon, this is basically the best part of the day. My girls ate a Pizza, my wife had Asian, and despite my best intentions to get something traditionally Portuguese (the options were plenty), I gave in to the delightful smoky smell of the burger place.

Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this place, just be prepared to fight for a seat.

Nice food court with lots of food to choose from. Nice and cosy environment. Just be reminded most of the stall that offer lunch only start to take order by 1130am. Price wise is around 20-30% higher compare to restaurant at the street. So perhaps just will be enough just for the experience.

Plenty of choice, food has some decent quality however i feel like is a bit overpriced for the Portuguese market. Expect to pay 16-20 euros or more for a single meal with drinks included.
Almost as twice as much as other places.

Unfortunately a covered market that lost all it s authenticity due to overcommercialised! Overcrowded, overpriced. Locals only go to the market and stay far away from the small resto stalls! Impossible to guarantee basic food hygiene in this place. Probably victim of it's own succes.

Vibrant atmosphere in this social style market place, come to walk around, eat good food and drink. Great background music and beautiful communal seats. Some spots are Chef's restaurants, food is generally beautifully presented and pricy. Definitely worth a visit.

A very nice place to eat with friend or family when everybody has its own specific taste. There is a lot of choice from Asian food to local fishes, yet it's not exhaustive in terms of international food. The place can be very crowded and then it's hard to find room to sit, it would probably be better with more sits and less wine stores...

This place is amazing. Very crowded but absolutely worth it. Ton of options. I tried burger (not regular burger with buns, just the patty with fries) at Alexandre Silva and it was THE BEST BURGER that I have ever tried. Go there just for this burger and you will not be disappointed.

Prices vary from place to place. The burger that I mentioned was 10 euros. The most challenging part is to find a table. Tip is to look for people that finished their meal and about to leave. Don't try to look for empty seats they disappear instantly.

The time out market is a place to go for some nice food. This is one big hall with a lot of small restaurants. Here you can buy small dishes from meat to fish and ice cream. Also you can order real nice wine. The combination with buying food en drinks from different restaurants makes it very special. There is no room for reservations just sit next to other people around and have a nice chat.
It can be very crowded by toerist and the price of the food and drinks are overpriced. A very small burger is around 13,-. So don t go hungry

Cool nice place to hang out and soak up the atmosphere. Wide variety of food and you can mix and match from various stalls. Decently priced. Not a place for a long slow dinner; it's really noisy - really like a market.

Americans who stay at the Marriott or Sheraton, who have breakfast at Starbucks, and lunch at McDonald's will feel right at home: this is an overpriced, magazine-branded selection of food stalls selling minimalist portions of grossly overpriced food without any service in a mall-like fast food court - an almost exact copy of Chelsea Market in New York City that is out of reach for most of Lisbon's native population and that gets tourists "in and out" within 20 minutes. If you really consider coming here, better stay home to begin with.

I really enjoyed this market and having the opportunity to try out lots of different foods - all very tasty. However, it is definitely very touristy, commercialised and expensive.

We went early one morning and that seemed to be the best time to grab some coffee and a quick breakfast snack. Later in the evening it was too crowded.

Does not come close to the authenticity and wonder of La Boqueria in Barcelona.

A huge food court with various choice of food. I recommend the cocktails based on the liquor Beirao, it was delicious. We also ate in Sea Me, food was good but the portions are small (3 shrimps in tempura) comparing to the other food places in Time Out Market

3 1/2 stars. Even we went in middle of the afternoon, still packed with people. Luckily, we found seats after 15mins. A lot of choices of food, a bit overwhelming. Very noise but great atmosphere.

Covered market near the sea. It s not a typical market but it s looks like a restaurant part in a mall. I like this place with a lot of different kind of food very tasty but the price are little bit more expensive than the classic traditional restaurant in Lisbon. For example, one meal and one beer cost more or less 15/17 in total. I repeat, everything is very good and also the style is interesting. I suggest you to visit it and decide. In alternative, you can decide to not eat a meal but just two pasteis de nada in the Manteigueria bakery inside at the market.

Very cool location. Great idea to offer so many different types of food in one place. BUT. Crowded and noisy. We had luck to get two seats for lunch. Got fish & chips but the chips've been cold. Fish was okay but for the prices they want they should deliver delicious food.

Nice place, but the toilets are dirty. Make sure you get a place to sit first before you order. It can be very crowded here. But you can try so many different meals here. If you like it here, you will come again to try more. The price is like in any average restaurant, but it's all self-service.

Did you ever have a hard time satisfying all eating preferences of your group of friends when going out? This place may help you given the plethora of choice it offers with the many eateries present in the same spot. And to top this, the food quality is exceptional too. Worth the experience.

Large food market with lots of different options to choose from from the many stalls. There is a huge amount of seating inside too and a great atmosphere. The bars serve pour your own beer, or excellent cocktails including white port and soda

Actually found these a little bit disappointing - it's quite clear that it's just set up for the tourist - filled with stag and hen dos. Doesn't feel as authentic as I was hoping it would.

Amazing place. Very open and sociable environment with a wide range of food choices of all types, with an emphasize on traditional and emblematic dishes, and without forgetting alternative choices of various chefs and other cuisines. Wide range of interesting starters and deserts, beers and wines. Sometimes there are also cuisine workshops.

Phenomenal place where You can spend entire day. Bevarages, great food, coffee, lovely atmosphere of market. Definitely a must-visit during stay in Lisbon. Portuguese cuisine in it's best ? Asian food ? Steaks ? No problem. It all here ! Nobody will be disappointed :) looking for something similar to appear in my own town and I will be daily guest there ! :) 5/5 !

Well, if you've ever been to a food market, then I guess it's just a super cool market. If it's your first time instead, like mine, you will be amazed. The busyness of the place is counterweighted by the familiar atmosphere. You will find every kind of food, beverage and dessert inside from the different shops, from a big variety of seafood to traditional Portuguese things in a middle-to-expensive price range. The seating is first come first serve, and there are no separate tables, you'll most likely have to sit next to a stranger, but this only contributes to the familiar atmosphere. Can recommend

I ate at Sea Me and the fish was not fresh. Shame they had great reviews but it seemed like they were very, very lazy. Old and absolutely not done to the standards of yhe Tiime Out Market

We were here for 2 weeks and ate here about 6 times. The food is all incredible, every palate is represented (vegan, seafood, meat, Asian, craft beer, pizza, cakes, etc) and everything is reasonably priced. If you like what you eat, the booths are all representations of actual restaurants in Lisbon that you can eat at. Definitely a must. Every city should have a market area like this!

This place is very lively and has lots of options for food and drink. It is incredibly busy and is very difficult to find anywhere to sit. Most of the food inside seemed reasonably priced and cooked fresh. There are some more expensive options (not necessarily worth it!) around the outside.

If you re a proper foodie I wouldn t bother coming here to eat, and would instead find better examples elsewhere in the city. its worth a visit just to see but if you want to experience the real taste of Lisbon then spend your money elsewhere.

The traditional market was great, with lots of fresh produce. Great if your in need of buying fresh goods to cook for yourself.

Prices are on the high side and seems like some restaurants have closed down . Hard to find a place to seat. If you are really hungry come here if not would suggest to find a better option to dine .

Too much to choose from. Whatever you do don't arrive at noon on a Saturday! Lol. If so, just go for a wall along the waterfront or have some drinks in the park. I chose to eat from Miguel Castro e Silva. Omg. Wow. Just wow. Who knew I'd love the cod, scrambled egg and julienne potato combination so much?!

This marketplace is one of a kind and a Mecca for foodies. During the day, there is a food and flower market on the other side of the building, Mercado de Ribera, which is fun to stroll down. If you would like to try one of the 50 food outlets available inside Time Out, you must come early. Places fill up fast and are held by people for joiners. Every evening is busy! All food and drinks get served with real plates, glasses and cutlery, which makes it seem more upscale. Food quality is outstanding and the outlets really represent the restaurants well. You can get anything from fresh juice, coffee and pasteis, to burgers, fresh seafood, tapiscos and other deliciousness. The vibe is one of people enjoying good food and being together. Prices are moderate. A must to do at least once. Maybe lunch is less daunting than during the busy evening crowd.

Nice concept and a lot of food options available in one place! You should definitely try out the Pasteis at Manteigaria, which also has very friendly staff and really delicious pastel de natas! However the place is often very crowded: we went there at 15-16 p.m. and it was still very busy, thus it was really hard to find available seats

Very good food, from Portugal and abroad. You can find sweet and savory food, proper meals or just snacks. I had an amazing grilled salt cod. It's usually crowded and the queue or the waiting can take long time, plus finding a spot can be difficult too. Definitely worth a meal there.

Great place to grab lunch. I would advise to avoid busy weekend nights because it can get very hectic! When it's busy, you'll struggle to get a seat, queue for ages - and the food will be rushed.
