I just love this place. I'm always going back there for some food, if I'm in Lisbon. Over the years, didn't change much.. Maybe, fact is more people around.
Food and drink and great and I believe, everyone can find something for themselves.

A real gem for foodies in Lisbon. An open area food market with so many different options to choose from. Protip: for the ultimate experience get one thing from 3 or 4 different stalls and share it with a friend!

Great market food court! For a foodie it makes your head spin - so many options and good ones, too! The maintenance of this place was remarkably good - empty dishes were cleaned up fast making room for new people to have a seat and considering the crowd it was clean enough. Nice buzzing vibe all over the place and well organized!

Very commercial and touristy place. It was hard to find a table to sit down and eat. If you like to sample a lot of things in the same place, you will enjoy it, but if you prefer to experience things like locals, avoid it.

A must visit in Lisboa!
A great location with different smalls stands for various cuisines (sushi, steaks, fish, Portuguese, Italian etc), enough possibilities to choose and arrange your meal.
One need some luck to find a place, but in general good possible! Enjoy it!

Great place. Until I went to the bathroom. I can always tell how a venue or restaurant treasures peruse in their business by the way they take responsibility for the cleanliness of the bathroom. I'll just leave it there. Otherwise a must see to eat and drink!

This is probably the best restaurant quality "fast food" court I tried. Not every dish is excellent (some are just good) but sometimes you can find real gems for almost nothing! Also if you have a group of friends with different tastes you can go here. Everyone will be happy and you will still sit at one table

There are variety of places to eat. One can sample different cuisines. If you are undecided about what to eat, this is the right place. You won't be upset.

Try Honorato for some tasty burgers. They grind their own meat and cook the patties to a perfect medium. X-egg is highly recommended. The oozie egg yolk makes a great special sauce ;)

Great place for diner or lunch, variation of different food, local as well international. Specially I can recommend the groundburger, excellent burgers fresh made with feies or salad. Also seafood and the tradicionally Pastells you get there.

A must see if visiting Lisbon!

A must see if visiting Lisbon!
It gets very crowded and finding a spot at a table can be tricky sometimes.

But when it comes to food, you got plenty of options!

This market is located right across the street from the train, metro and ferry station/port. The market offers different cousines mainly focused on the fresh fish and seafood, but also asian, italian hamburgers and different pastry, coffee, wine shop and coctail bar. Other part of the market is dedicated to fresh vegetables and fruits before noon and to the flea market during the weekends. The market can get a bit crowded during the busy times. If you want to taste the local cousine it is a must see. The maret also offers cooking school.

Your taste buds will not be disappointed.

Your taste buds will not be disappointed.

Open air eatery with over 25 stalls putting putting their own little spin on Portugese cuisine... And Asian.

Incouraging you to take a lap around and see what interest you because it will be hard to select what you want. Plenty of selections of fish and meat at every shop. Long queue isn't an indication of one stall being better then the other because most of the food is fantastic.

Be quick on the draw to get seating because they are snatched up quickly.

Reasonably priced dishes from 9 to 25 but most averaging around 14.

Full meals, snacking or going here for wine and tarts are encouraged. Definitely somewhere I will be back to.

Friendly atmosphere with music and dancing on Friday night.
There's food for every taste - or almost. Not really vegan friendly but you can manage something with Asian noodles without eggs.
The pizza was tasty
There's plenty to drink to keep going all night long.

A great place to eat with friends and family. It s basically a huge foodcourt but they are not your everyday food. We had a burger which was thick and juicy, and the dish called 64 degree egg was soft and delicate. There are some great dessert options as well.

Exceptional place, grate food - 4 stars is because of pricing. However, if your budget allows it is a must see and try place. I had a sea bas tartar with very nice local white vine. Totally worth it.

Definitely a must visit in Lisbon. Although it s very touristy and kind of pricey, everything you can get is very good. Just from the variety and options you get, I wouldn t be surprised if you had to pay multiple visits.

Amazing food!

Amazing food!

Finding a seat is quite hard so I would recommend finding a seat first if you re with somebody and everybody orders separately so you can keep the seats.
I ordered the pork belly and scallop burger which is amazing, fresh scallops!
The seafood risotto was equally as good! Everything is made with fresh ingredients and great flavour at reasonable prices.
The mojito was a bit on the pricier side at 8.50 but tasted good.
I ve visited twice in two days, a must eat in Lisbon!

Where the locals buy their food in an open covered market. As a clinical nutritionists, I was in a wonderful "library" of nutrition. On the street edge of the market, small gourmet restaurants are reasonably priced and offer many different recipes on the traditional food of Portugal, bacalhau. In Portugal, there are a thousand ways to cook salted cod, every dish a treat

Really cool spot, very clean and fast moving environment. Fab drink selection and ambiance. Giving 4 stars because the food felt very repetitive rather than a diverse selection. As a vegan there was very little to choose from.

It's a tourist attraction more than a food market experience. The waiter from the seafood place we ordered from was quite rude. The octopus hot dog was bland and got queasy pretty quick. The codfish cakes were great though. You'll also spend a lot of time swimming in people, finding what you want to eat, queueing and finding a place to sit rather than enjoying the sun and fresh air outside. I'd say you're better off finding a more authentic, local place and leave this one to the tourists who are willing to pay for overpriced bland food and spend an hour waiting.

Fabulous selection of food ranging from classic Portuguese to Thai. A bit on the expensive side but if you want a nice meal with a family style sitting and pay as you go- this is your place.

The salmon burger is incredible and the pizza slices are cheap!

Very nice food in this market. Ideal place to grab a beer and share some food with friends. This place is very popular and it get's crowded sometimes. But that certainly doesn't spoil the fun. If you're in the neighborhood and feeling hungry, stop by this place. You won't be disappointed!

A must visit while in Portugal. Amazing food from various vendors in a huge open hall. Do yourself a favor and buy some much cheaper beer at a nearby market, bring it back, and save your money for more food.

Great Portuguese food all in one place. Quite slick and corporate but still a nice place to be. A well-curated mix of styles of food, all brilliant quality and interesting and modern, along with tons of seating so you can eat there comfortably. The little A Vida Portuguesa shop is good for souvenirs and gifts too.

This was our first stop in Lisbon and it was incredible! . This is a big hall full of little corner stores where you will have the possibility to buy whatever food you are in the mood for & whatever drink you are craving! We had a few beers, a perfect Aperol Spritz and a platter with ham, cheese and bread! It was a recharging stop that left us with our belly full, our body energised and our minds ready for our next exploration!

Definitely a fantastic area if you're passionate about food, want to try various dishes and are looking for a chilled space where to relax with mates (or dates! ).

Make sure this is on your list of must see in Lisbon!

We sought out the Time Out Market after seeing it mentioned on a TV review by Rick Stein in the UK. There's so much choice, from many chefs. On the two occasions we visited at lunch time it was very busy. It pays to find a table before ordering your food. Place an order for food, you're given a pager and it generally is ready within 20 minutes. Superb food, very reasonably priced.
