I needed help because my furnace wouldn t come on. I searched the area for a good company and found Thompson Mechanical. The service lady that answered the phone was extremely nice and was able to get me in same day! The service technician sent me a text to let me know when they would be arriving, which was great as I m an extremely busy person! They arrived promptly and fixed my furnace. I will be recommending them to everyone I know and I will continue to use their services.

There is no need to call anyone but Thompson Mechanical, when my air conditioner decided not to work any longer, they came out the same day to get me an estimate and very easy to schedule an installation date. The installation crew called prior to showing up, they were very friendly and professional. Walked me through everything they had done and stayed to answer all my questions. Thank you for a job well done!!
In dealing with Thompson Mechanical, I learned the hard lesson that a good deal isn't always a good deal. I purchased a Goodman furnace and central air from them in 2005 and the nightmare started within a few short years. The unit is garbage and the installation workmanship was as bad. They even left screws off in various places that I called about, but they never returned to correct, so I wound up doing it myself. I had a bad pressure switch last spring and I called them to fix. The guy came out and said it would cost $200. While he was going to get the part, I looked it up online and saw that it was only a $15 part and was easy to replace. I sent him away and fixed it myself in 10 minutes. Yes, I got a reasonably good deal, but it is clearly a low quality unit, as I've been having problems every winter since a few years after the install, not to mention the shoddy installation. I have been thinking about writing a review for years, but didn't want to be that guy. Now that it's winter again and I'm having problems again, my anger returned and I had to let people know how shady and low quality they are. Bottom line, don't go cheap on your furnace, it's too important. Find a respected contractor and buy a respected brand. You'll spend a little more, but you'll be glad you did 10+ years later!
My experience: I have a issue paying someone to come out and not fix the issue. 1st a guy comes out saying there no issue and he can t find the problem. Charges me $55. Say to call back if it stops. Mind you my furnace is working on and off. We lose heat middle of night. I wait till daytime. I call. 2nd time he comes out. Same guy. Says it s working on and off. Cant find a issue. Charges me $55 to only find out it stops working again. Now it s the weekend. Mind you NO parts where changed. I spent $110. For nothing to be fixed. The furnace is showing codes. Which he should have replaced the part and he said he couldn t find out which part it was. Clearly not knowing what he doing. Beware. I am reporting this company to BBB
This was a fabulous company! They replaced and moved our furnace and hot water tank to the basement and replaced our central air in 2 days! Jay and Brady were our main techs. They were very nice, friendly and professional. I would recommend these guys to anyone!
I'm on a low income and been having furnace issues. I called Thompson and was quoted $87 for a diagnostics not including parts and labor but they wouldn't tell me how much I needed to have when they came out. So said fine come out run diagnostics I'll pay for that, so you'll know what's wrong and I'll know how much it is to pay to fix it. They refused to come out unless I could pay all in the same day without knowing how much. Not a good company.
