Dr. Kate and Dr. Gary are very friendly and informative.

Over the years, Thompson s has been an excellent vet for many of my family s pets - cats, dogs, and now rabbits. My parents dogs were well-cared-for there, and lived long lives. Our cats have offered a number of challenges - the one who was saved twice with gut surgery to remove styrofoam (which he so loved to ingest), the one with behavioral issues, and the others who both lived to nearly 20 years old. Dr. Gary is a special hero - on a weekend emergency call, he saved my sister s cat s paw (she had fallen through a glass coffee table and severed the tendons in one paw). Dr. Gary performed emergency surgery, and the cat s paw is perfect - one would never know she d nearly lost it!
Most recently, Dr. Gary saw my elderly rabbit on an after-hours call. Though it turned out to be not an emergency, Dr. G performed all the right tests, and was perfectly knowledgeable about my rabbit s specific medical needs. There are not a lot of competent exotic vets in the area, and I m so glad we found Dr. Gary. We are confident our bunny will receive the best possible care here.

Additionally - TAMC was gracious and affordable when our other bunny died at another vet practice, and we needed cremation services arranged. They were very caring, and I appreciate the treatment I received. I couldn t ask for anything more.

I had to take my bearded dragon into Thompson Vet Clinic because of not eating. This was my first time ever going their and I had a great experience! The front decks ladies were so nice and helpful, the tech staff and the vet were really nice to! I will definitely be going back to their clinic in the future!

If I could rate it less than 1 star I would. We have always taken out pets to Thompson, but since Dr. Tom has not been in charge, this facility has taken a turn for the worse. I've never been treated the way the staff has treated me over the past 6 months. There are plenty of better vets around the area.

I love this facility! My cat was a patient of Dr. Jean's and I had him boarded there before Covid hit. Dr. Jean is amazing. She informs you of all options and truly does what is best for your pet. If i hadn't moved, I'd still be a loyal customer!

This is the best veterinary hospital I've been to.i had an emergency with my 4 week old kitten Jasper and they came in after hours just to help him out. The dr. Was amazing friendly and an expert. My kitten came home happy and healthy thanks to their wonderful staff.

For us, they have done it all, from young dogs and cats to the quite geriatric ones, from wellness visits or boarding to urgent care. Always with care and consideration, they've been our veterinary clinic for many years.

My cat has always been so cared for here. Never any issues with shots or getting him neutered. The vets are caring and professional. Pretty price efficient as well

They have taken excellent care of our pets for years. Have even contacted them during off-hours for help. Great folks.

Dr. Gary and Megan were on call for my Buddy s emergency with a pretty bad flesh wound. These situations are always a little out of the norm and nerve racking and we had about an hour drive. Dr. Gary was wonderful in getting us in and putting us at ease. He and Megan worked hard after hours to fix our little guy up and had to go back to work the next morning. Dedicated and loving people they are. Thank you for being there for us!!! God bless you!

Had a wonderful first time experience here with my ordinarily very anxious dog. The staff were so warm and kind to him and they took such good care of him. I ve been to some veterinary clinics where it feels like everything is a sales pitch and that was not the case here. Super impressed and very happy to have a trustworthy place to bring my pets.

My young bunny Oliver went to his first vet visit today. Everyone answered my questions and gave good directions on my bunnys diet. He's a healthy bun bun. Glad I brought my bunny here. Will be coming back for his neuter when he's old enough.

Great place. Friendly staff that loves animals, Very clean, nice facilities. We use their vet services for our dog and also their kennel for boarding.

I treated my bunny there for arthritis. I was given medicam to take for my bunny. After a few years they gave me something cheaper to take melxocam. It caused kidney failure in him and he died. I was highly suggest by them to keep giving the melxocam other wise he stop walking. Instead of stop walking it killed his kidneys instead. They take payments if your a long time customer, but they are expensive. I suggest go some where else that has better practices and doesn t cost so much.

Dr. Jean is so calm with my cats, Buddy 2 & Serenity, and she is thorough in her exams. I needed to get Buddy 2 in yesterday (06/06/2019) with an emergency and Dr. Jean was able to get me in. Dr. Jean always greets me with a smile !

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Also really reasonable priced.

Wonderful, wonderful staff! We came to the clinic as a new customer. We were treated like family! Everyone was so gentle and respectful when attending to our pup. She wasn't nervous at all! The only thing she wanted more of was hugs and kisses. I would recommend their clinic in a heartbeat!

The staff have become like family. The care for all of my dogs through the yesrs has been genuine.

I will not be coming here again. I ve been taking my Great Dane here and Lab for two years and they had puppies. I called back to back for 15 minutes for them to come to the car for walk up since we re not aloud in the office and they did not pick up. Sitting in 90 degree weather you think they would be more considerate and pick up he phone when they request you to call. When I went in they looked at me in disapproval because they did not want to pick up the phone but expect me to wait in 90 degree weather with 8 Puppies. Paying close to 500 dollars for terrible service...

I've been going to Thompson's Animal for 3 decades with my cats. The vets are always easy to talk to and have excellent follow through by checking in on the cats after health and behavior concerns are taken care of.

I have been with Thomson for a wile now that my dog had a emergency and haven't seen them in a year they wouldn't give me advice on what i can give my dog for pain. Never will i take her there again.

Been going there for years very professional staff. They are wonderful with the animals and owners.

I brought my guinea pig Harley to Thompson today and I will never go anywhere else. I live in Onalaska so it was a little hike to get to Thompson, but so worth it! Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable! They were timely, kind, and answered every question I had!

They were really understanding when we had to put done xena and Zelda ,they had cancer. They were very much loved. Yes there pet rats love you miss you. Thompson is a great vet. We take all our pet to him for 20yrs.

Top-notch! We've been taking our dogs to Dr. Gary for 13+ years. He is absolutely great -- super knowledgeable, professional and caring. The entire staff have always been wonderful to deal with and it's clear they all love animals!

Have been taking our pets to TAMC for close to 20 years. Have never had a problem getting a pet in if it's an emergency, and appointment wait times are short. ALL veterinarians and staff are caring and interested in my animals well being. Highly recommend.

They take good care of your pets. They listen to your concerns. They are affordable. What more do you want? However, they couldn't fix the stupidity of my cat. But medical science has only came so far.

Thompson was great! Dr. Jacob was awesome with providing tips and things that would help our cat and dog live healthy lives. Even though Loki (cat) was a terror, he gave medicine to help him on his next visit.

20+ years here and couldn't be happier! This is where you go to get the care you truly want for your pet! Everyone is very experienced and knowledgeable! Dr. Gary has always been my vet and does a phenomenal job which explains why he is such a busy guy! I often leave a voicemail but he always get back to me right away!! He has even answered urgent questions of mine while in surgery through other staff. This goes above and beyond his job and shows how much love and compassion he has for animals. I've recently moved to Arizona and still call him about my cat with liver disease. He always gets back to me, sometimes well past his work hours. I couldn't be more grateful towards this amazing man. He gives great advice and is so intelligent. He knows what he's doing. Spending a little more at this vet is well worth it.

We live in onalaska and have continued to take our dogs to Thompson for 15 years. They understand that pets are family.

my daughter's hampster was doing really poorly. Most likely dying as it was knocked from the cage. It had not eaten or drank in a day - eyes closed and staying in its hut. I called the clinicians I said he was in a really bad way and described his state and what happened.Our daughter only had it for three weeks and was taking great care of him. She was very distraught and while my wife and I suspected the end, we just wanted our daughters heart cared for as well. We called to get in as were told we could not get in for two days due to appointments and since we were new patients. We were very disappointed as they were recommended as the only exotic vets in the area. We won't be calling nor recommending them.

Love this place! I ve been going here since I ever got my first cat when I was young with my mom. Now I have my own cat and this is my to go to vet clinic for anything. They are so helpful all the time, especially when it came down to my first time dealing with fleas for my cat. Great vet clinic, and I always recommend them to anyone that needs a vet!

I found I received tender compassion from the Thompson Medical Center
staff when my beloved cat "Yoko Pekoe" died. They made a huge difference for me in my grief because I knew they cared.

I had an emergency with my dog. They took him in as a new patient. As they ran tests they kept us informed and were honest about the outcomes. Our furbaby didn't make it but they were so kind and understanding. I will forever be grateful for everything they did for us.

Amazing place. Had an emergency with my cat, took me immediately, they were very flexible, only charged me for what was an issue not all the diagnostics, extremely reasonably priced, understanding and abundantly helpful. Amazing experience, definitely go here first.

We have had a number of pets that would not have lived as long and blessed us with there company without doctor TOM and doctor JEAN.

We live in Holmen, so getting to and from Thompson s is a hike!! It is WORTH IT!!! The vets are top-notch and caring. Dr Gary has taken so much time giving not only medical advice, but also genuine care and concern. Dr Jean is phenomenal as well! And we still miss Dr Tom, of course!! All of the staff are friendly and kind - Diane at the front desk deserves special recognition. She is personable and helpful. I will always make the trip to get my beloved pets to them. I couldn t recommend them more highly, and those that know me know I am one of the most picky, devoted animal lovers ever!!

Great place if you have a completely free schedule. I was to bring my dog back after an appointment, for a technician to give my dog a booster. They said it would take less than 5 min. But in my only 3 days off a month I get they apparently didn't have 5 min for me. When they were supposed to call me back the receptionist I talk to left, so nobody even new I called. Then the next time they were supposed to call back they " lost my info." Seriously disappointed.

Edit: Dr. Kate was the only salvation getting my dog in in a heartbeat when she ate something harmful.
