Wow is the word. Really enjoyed our experience at per se. Probably one of the best meals we've had. They had a separate tasting menu for vegetarians which I loved. And the service was impeccable. Of course it's quite expensive but for a special occasion, I would def recommend this place!

The best food I have ever tasted anywhere. 14 courses of utter bliss with a seamless wine pairing and impeccable service. I can still taste some of the flavors.
The door of this restaurant is very low key. The entire experience of walking through the bar to get to the table was very memorable. My girlfriend and mine table was facing the Columbus circle. We were set across from each other, looking directly at the southwest entrance to the central park. After we were appropriately seated, the waitress brought over a wine list and the menu items. We got pre - fixe and the rest was just for us to sit and enjoy the entire process. It was memorable. The dish was small portioned enough for your to pay attention to each bite. It was a very good experience.
THE MASTER! One of my top 3 dining experiences; up there with Achetz, Roubouchon, La Bernardin, and Cosme! This experience is all about the food. No showiness, no brash decor, no glitz; just pure class. From the personal menu to the custom anniversary favor we were treated well and shown that our presence was appreciated and valued. Some of the best food I've ever eaten. Nothing too fancy, high tech, or snobbish but Chef Keller masterfully combines fresh and interesting ingredients to create one of a kind dishes that warrant all of his "world's best" accolades. Oh, and save lots of room for dessert because it's almost an entire second meal and you'll definitely want the butter ice cream with honey soaked madeleine. And, just when you think you're done, they come by again with a box of chocolate.
Fantastic. Unique medley of flavors and beyond exquisite presentation. The service was some of the best I have ever experienced. The staff went above and beyond to make my birthday AMAZING.
One of the nicest restaurants I have ever been too, the food was extremely good and the service was even better. We got a private room and they had waiter's and waitresses always on hand to help us out and give us what we need. It was truly first class food with first class service.
It was an unforgettable experience. The chef's tasting menu was creative, visually stunning and above all delicious. The staff was impeccable. We were treated to a visit to the kitchen and the cellar which elevated the experience even more.
"An out-of-this-world experience. Food and service were amazing. Foie gras was one of the best we had, while dessert was plentiful and ""deliciously"" presented Well expected for the price charged!"
Google cuisine: 4 stars Deliciously presented delicious food Favorites: pasta with truffles and pearl oysters Very elegant frame and decor Great French and American wines Professional quality service Location Colombes Circle Central Park view
we came with high expectations and left bitterly disappointed. How the restaurant gets its stars is a mystery to us. the service good and tried hard. the food was very moderate from start to finish. totally overpriced for this quality. never again
absolutley the best meal in nyc, if you are willing to spend that much for a 9 (really 14) course dinner. everything from originality, to taste to quality to timing was superb. truly wonderful
Excellent wine list, deserves all the accolades. Ask for a tour of the kitchen - it s beautiful. Make sure you get coffee and donuts for dessert. Overlooks Central Park - basically perfect.
My first and favorite 3 starred Michelin restaurant. The staffs are welcoming and knowledgeable, the whole dining experience is impeccable, and the ambience is unforgettable - loving every minute of my visit.
The staff was the best part of this very high end dinner. I did a wine pairing which was amazing. The dishes were all cooked to perfection. The price was a little high but the service and food made it well worth it.
So yummy! much noodle and close to home! My favorite is the beef pho so yummy I also tried the seafood ramen... had Better but I like that it's close. defibitely will come back especislly now that its cold
Wait staff gets 5 stars and they were great and what made the experience! But the food was average and expensive. The wines are priced at 4 times retail which is silly, especially when you're spending $325 a person for the tasting menu. The worst part was the added supplements, some reaching as much as $125 more per item. You could reach $600 a person if you chose them all. All in all not worth the $1,000 paid for dinner. Go to Jean Georges if you want better food at half the cost.
the most charming thing about the restaurant is the view and the way in which it bring uniqueness to its ambiance. Food and service is as always very tasty and super fats.
Honestly, it's a really hard question. I think they their staple is doing an excellent job at surprising you with original flavor choices. Presentation is also a strong one, even though it's hard to tell from the faded colors in my blurry pictures.
The food was great, but sometimes I felt I'd rather get a larger portion where I can feel the flavor evolving from bite to bite. I guess I prefer the subtle changes to the great surprises.
The chocolates were a clear case of surprise over sheer quality. The rosemary and olive oil chocolate was a confusing and awesome experience, but in terms of pure chocolate quality I'd have one from Spruengli any time.
I'd have appreciated a little bit more liquid food, such as a soup or a sherbette.
In the end, it was a great experience, in excellent company, so it was worth it. I wouldn't have enjoyed it there as much by myself.
They re sooooooooooooo good. Everything in this restaurant is made fresh and you can tell. All of the people who work here are lovely and obviously care a lot about the community. Absolutely try the chocolate, which is rich and spiced beautifully. Never disappoints.
Per Se is definitely a good restaurant. The service was great for the most part, but the menu felt... dated.
I had commented at one point to a busser that my sweetbreads dish was overly seasoned and he responded (a tad condescendingly) that the following dish is cheese and cheese is usually salty (what?). The highlight of the meal were the oysters & caviar and the duck. Everything else was good (not great).
Is the meal worth the price? Sure. Does it deserve to be a 3 Michelin star restaurant? Questionable.
Let me start by saying I rarely write reviews, but I feel absolutely compelled to do so this time. We just finished a wonderful belated birthday meal at Per Se. Of course when you go to a 3 star restaurant you expect to have marvellous food (the oysters and pearls are a must and the lamb was just divine); however sometimes service at such restaurants can get a little impersonal, but that s certainly not the case at Per Se. Their service is attentive and intimate at the same time. The attention to detail is astonishing and everyone from the sommelier to the bus staff was fantastic and Israel just took it to the next level. He obviously takes pride working at such a great establishment and made our night extra delightful. At the end of the night Israel was kind enough to take us on a tour of the kitchen (which is impeccably managed) and had arranged a bag of goodies for us to take home. Thank you Per Se team for such an incredible night. We hope to be back soon!
A truly exceptional dining experience! I ve been to 3-star Michelin restaurants before, and I can gladly say that Per Se is most worthy of this achievement. Service is excellent. Food (as you can see) is beautifully plated, and has flavours that boggle the mind and inspires. It s not a cheap dining experience. But if you ever find yourself there, once you experience the food, you ll quickly forget the cost!
We celebrated my successful proposal at this restaurant. The menu is fixed and still comes with some nice surprises. The staff are super friendly and environment is very lovely. The new American style food does come with different touches geographically and culturely. We did enjoy SiChuan pepper corn's ending numb and also hand made chocolate creamy sweet. You can tell lots of thinking's have been put into the dishes including layout, taste and etc. We did have a great time over there. The three hours dinning experience is unforgettable!
Very satisfied with the meal! It tastes good. One of the dishes doesn't like it. I immediately sent a few dishes. I left a small box of biscuits. The service was comfortable and the black truffles were added a lot. I ate half and added some. Japanese Kobe beef is still to eat this, and the steak is too tired.
Imported penne with arribiatta sauce and chicken ... to die for. Felt like I was back in Italy. My entire family enjoyed their dinners and rated this restaurant among the very best Italian restaurants in L.A. simply outstanding.
Ever since I had read Service Included, by Phoebe Damrosch, I have wanted to try Per Se. But I got a little nervous reading some more recent accounts that presaged its decline. Still, when the opportunity came recently I took it! And, wow, am I ever glad that I did. Everything was flawless from start to finish. Service was absolutely top notch, each course was delightful, non-alcoholic drinks were free (I really appreciate that, I mean obviously one is paying several hundreds of dollars a person here, but it feels nice not to get gouged a coke, but instead put that money and effort to the unique food and experience). In fact, what might have been the most special part of the meal was this exquisite white pu'er tea, but really everything from caviar to bread, Elysian fields lamb to sea salt, was just top-notch and spot-on.
Phenomenal dinner! The scallops that we started with were among the best I have ever enjoyed. I then ordered the Nova Scotia lobster, which was well worth it. You must enjoy this world renowned restaurant!
The warm and kind staff of Per Se, views of Central Park and one delicious bite after another all contributed to one of the best dining experiences I ve ever had. As a culinary professional it was simply inspiring to know that I was in the presence of a team professionals performing at the highest level of excellence. Congratulations to each and every one of you for the dedication and sacrifices you make daily to live your dream and be at this level in your career. It was amazing!!! Bravo and thank you for the wonderful experience.
I am fortunate to have previously experienced Per Se but this is the first time I am reviewing this place. Per Se did not disappoint the ratings and reviews it has received over the years. Everything was great except the duck. The duck lacks flavor and was a bit lackluster in comparison to the other dishes. The staff were wonderful and helpful in every way. We had a great experience! Highly recommend!
My first Per Se "experience" and adventure! Truly the best tasting And presentation And service I have enjoyed. The variety of delectable courses...ending with the world's best Desserts! Exquisite Flavors throughout the meal! Thank you Per Se Staff, unforgettable! We will return!
I saw this in the local media as well. Glad it has reached Western Canada.
I cannot tell you how pleased I am to see that particular restaurant get nailed.
When Per Se was new and I was living two blocks away, I entered the restaurant and asked if I could see its much vaunted interior. I had the resources to become a regular with the advantage of being a neighbor.
I could not have encountered a ruder response. They absolutely refused to let me even peak into the interior.
Does not surprise me that this kind of crowd has been stealing from its employees. I hope it puts them out of business.

Dinner in the East room. Incredibly attentive service, respectful of our time and space. Beautiful view of Columbus circle for a group of 6, private but still connected to the main dining room if you wish. Food was memorable; looking forward to next adventure at Per Se
I love Per Se. They are able to accommodate dietary preferences/restrictions. We did the upgraded wine pairing with dinner. The service is amazing and they pay attention to detail. The food is mouthwatering. Nothing like I've ever had before. I'd have to say this is one of my favorite (the other is Masa) restaurants in the city. A real treat for sure, buy very much worth it!
My wife and I celebrated our 8th anniversary here on Sunday night. We elected the tasting menu in the Salon for our evening. We expected the fantastic food, courses were balanced and beautiful on the plate. The chef did a fantastic job the wagyu was perfect. We expected the service to be on point, The server and the support staff were in unison during this elegant dance they call table service. What surprised us was the hospitality. Alex, the server, and Hak, the Sommelier, were so generous and genuine with the service throughout the night it made us feel as if we were the only table in the restaurant. To say that this evening, celebrating our anniversary, was anything less than phenomenal would be an understatement. Thank you Per Se and Alex! Well done.
This is restaurant execution at the highest level. Everything was perfect. While the menu may not be the most inventive, I didn't find a single flaw in any of the dozen or so dishes we were served. Service was impeccable, the wine pairings were diverse, interesting and appropriate, and the bartender did a wonderful job creating a drink just for me. Well worth saving up for the admittedly extravagant price.
Theres a reason its known as one of the best restaurants in the world and is on so many peoples bucket list. Id recommend anyone to go that loves their food
They are actually not over priced, they have some cheaper wines(though their price on most is similar to others) not so much of an amazing wines. But dishes were damn great.
I can't believe I found paradise and the food to be made by gods, the people who work there magnificent and efficient. THINK IS THE BEST Shops at Columbus Circle NY.
