Amazing experience... Les miserables. All the family enjoyed it.
Amazing experience... Les miserables. All the family enjoyed it.
Beautiful theatre. Well worth the ticket price to see musicals and shows. BUT why let people eat and drink in the theatre during the performance? Les Mis was brilliant except for the two women sat next to us who constantly talked and rustled their pack of sweets during the performance. Come on be fair!! We want to be lost in the performance not getting high blood pressure from inconsiderate folk!!
Love this place friendly staff and comfortable seating
Peter Pan pantomime was hilarious! Highly recommend for all ages, the theatre itself is beautiful.
Great afternoon at the Panto with a fantastic variety performance of Goldilocks. Gets better every year.
Great theatre just been to see we will rock you fantastic, seen a few shows now looking forward to the next one. Staff are very good.
Fantastic performance and really enjoyed the evening, the only complaint is the terrible uncomfortable seating in the Theatre Royal, please get some new seating, everyone around was really uncomfortable after the first half.
First time at the Theatre Royal and was impressed by the building and the seating, although not much room for people to pass in the upper circle.
2nd time of seeing We Will Rock You and I enjoyed this one more. I like the updates that have been made to it, nothing felt out of place in the song lyrics and the cast were superb.
Love this theatre, I visit often and make a yearly visit for the panto. The kids love it too.
Prices where very high for treats such as ice cream and sweets.
Nice theatre, careful of those scared of heights as minimal railings...
Seating too close together not very comfortable but venue was well run and security good. Be prepared for a search and delays so get there early.
Totally enjoyable experience. Theatre was full of young people who joined in making it a wonderful afternoon. Definitely go again. Seating to close together especially for the elderly.
Just been to see beauty and the beast was amazing as always only 4 stars just seat where we sat we cudnt see the back of stage so missed a little bit of show but still was fab keep up good work xx
Lovely theatre good staff, and most importantly of all comfortable seating
A super place to see We Will Rock You. If i can fault the Theatre Royal the seats are not the most comfortable.
The production of the marriage of Figaro by Opera north was stunning. Really enjoyed the performance and the theatre was great as usual
In my opinion, the best theatre in England. Stunningly beautiful, excellent acoustics, helpful and friendly staff.
I loved it. Beautiful building inside and out and the shows are amazing
Visited today to see Les Miserables. Excellent show and theatre is well laid out but seats not terribly comfortable for nearly a 3 hour show. Well worth a visit.
Stunning place, loads of heritage, excellent shows.
I went to see the brilliant Les miserables, and couldn't fault the staff
Brilliant performance. Friendly staff. Lovely building
Great panto experience but the seats are quiet uncomfortable!!!
Beautiful theatre at the heart of Newcastle. Good customer service too. Wish the seats were a little larger and more leg room.
Theatre Royal is an iconic building within Newcastle, being the most popular and active theatre. Events ranging from ballet to plays and even a nice pantomime, the theatre caters to all with excellent performances in a brilliant environment.
Great venue. Iconic building set right in the heart of Newcastle. Nice facilities inside and lots of seating. My only complaint would be the seats themselves - they are not the most comfortable and have been there a while. If you're in for a long show you may be a bit uncomfortable by the end. Otherwise it's a great venue with a variety of different shows through the year.
Great venue, saw the rocky horror show here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Who is Joe I need to have answers please somebody tell me who is Joe?
Fantastic performance by Ian McKellen in an excellent theatre manned by friendly, helpful, efficient staff. Had a great day.
Friendly staff, lovely looking building. Amazing shows with reasonable prices.
A lovely setting. The theatre has wonderful atmosphere
Not only was the show fantastic but the theatre is such a great place to go. It always feels special and it's a fabulous building. Staff there were so helpful.
Went to see Danny Adams in Peter Pan this year, it was no surprise that the show was amazing! The venue was great although there could have been more toilets and parking spaces provided.
Me and my partner went to see Saturday night fever..Absolutely brilliant..love theatre royal..one of my favourite places..especially panto..we had a great night
Went to see Benidorm it was amazing. Congratulations to all concerned
A truly awful theatre, not impressive like Sunderland, Manchester, Edinburgh etc. So small which means tickets are grossly overpriced, no staff to assist you, people are allowed to come and go throughout a performance!!!! Would rather pay train fares and go elsewhere.
Great selection of plays on offer, nice bar, and staff always ready to greet and help with a smile
My favourite theatre: oozes class and history. Incredibly authentic and entertaining. Great views and atmosphere... and that's having sat in many different places on different tiers. Superb.
Beautiful theatre and a great atmosphere. The production of Cinderella was brilliant, scenery music, definitely a Theatre worth going to.
Exceptional Dusty Springfield show. One that Theatre Royal should be extremely proud of. Looking forward to more productions.
Had a fantastic time at the ballet, enjoyed a glass of wine in the bar lovely comfortable theatre
A brilliant theatre & great programme of performances
Great being going for a few years now the cast are very good everything was perfect Danny Adams and Clive Webb waited in the foyer to sign autographs and have your picture taken with them. See you next year.
We have just seen Cinderella and it was the best and all the people that work there are so nice and we can't wait to go there for year to come
I visit the Theatre Royal about once a month for a mixture of events as it is such a fabulous venue
Went to see Holes with my kids, absolutely fabulous performance from the actors. The only problem was school kids sitting behind us, the all raw and some next to us had their sweets/crisps stash out and kept eating them the hole time, I was very distracted and it was hard to hear the actors at some point. Very disrespectful towards the actors and other viewers who has paid a lot of money to enjoy the performance. I think food should be forbidden in theaters, just like in most of the theaters and opera houses in the Europe. Some manners?!
Lovely historic building, very clean and good access for disabled people. Very caring staff would recommend a visit.
Went to see Le Miserable at the Theatre royal Newcastle. Venue is great if a little pricey, could do with more loos. However, le missed was astounding and thought it was better than the movie version. Great night out.
Beautiful theatre, very helpful staff. Good wheelchair access
Visited here to watch the Bodyguard show....all I can say is absolutely amazing!! Cast couldn't be faulted, stage scenery unbelievable, atmosphere a great experience IS A MUST TO BE SEEN!! FABULOUS NIGHT!!
Some great shows on here throughout the year, and it has been very wrll maintained and still has the feel of theatre magic in the air
Always a pleasure to visit this historic theatre in the city centre and enjoyed the who dunnit Agatha Christie play recently
Love going to the Theatre Royal, such a beautiful theatre
Brilliant pantomime as usual. Both kids and adults loved it. Wonderful, colourful costumes. Great night.
Been to the panto! Another brilliant performance !!
Love a night at the theatre and the free metro travel makes it even better .
Absolutely diabolical. Got kicked out of a MUSICAL for singing. Got treat with zero respect and spoken to disgustingly. Escorted out of the premises and made to feel like I was in auschwitz. Will never. Ever. Return.
Beautiful theatre but a very steep climb to the top tier
