Haven't been here since about 2003? Went to see the Scottish play here recently which was full of energy and great performances, which I probably would have lost if I sat further back. The view was great from my seat (about midway through stalls). The decoration inside is also stunning! Staff were great, no issues! So glad more amazing shows I'm interested in are coming here; Les Mis here I come!

The Theatre Royal is a proper venue. It feels suitably grand and there is a fantastic range of performances to choose from. The seats are comfortable enough. It isn't a cheap night out, it is a quality night out!

The seating in the 'gods' is pretty basic. They were originally concrete benches but had seats attached which means you cant lift them to allow stragglers entrance. Being at the top makes me wonder how they change the ceiling lights - 3 are now glaringly dead. The ice cream at the interval was lovely.

The house on cold hill - I think thats what it was called. I enjoyed it and didnt guess the ending until 5 minutes from the end. Nor did I get the in jokes about the actors who had obviously been on a dancing show. All goid clean fun.

Beautiful theatre. The performance of Beauty and the Beast was very good especially the props and special effects. But I was quite disappointed that there were no songs from the original soundtrack of Beauty and the Beast

"Handbagged" was fabulous!! If only it could have a wider audience, the world would be a much better place. The cast were amazing and every single player a gem! The script was so witty and clever, and the casting marvellous. I could really believe I was in the presence of Her Majesty and Mrs T. Thank you to all concerned for such a wonderful production.

A truly beautiful building serving as the centrepiece of Grainger Town - Newcastle's renowned period architecture. It is equally as wonderful inside.
It hosts some great events, and the Christmas Pantomimes are great fun for all!

Went to see captain correlli mandolin. In these days of diversity it was nice to see a mixed race cast, however two actors were miscast and it spoilt the flow of the story and was confusing as at the time of the play all people on the island would have been Greek, Italian or German. Whilst it ticks the inclusive box it took somthing out of the story
