Went to see Les Mis tonight. The theatre is beautiful and the staff are great. The show was one of the best I've ever seen.
Haven't been here since about 2003? Went to see the Scottish play here recently which was full of energy and great performances, which I probably would have lost if I sat further back. The view was great from my seat (about midway through stalls). The decoration inside is also stunning! Staff were great, no issues! So glad more amazing shows I'm interested in are coming here; Les Mis here I come!
Great show. Wonderful theatre but seats are cramped.
An excellent venue, although spoiled somewhat this evening as all of the gents toilets were behind locked doors (the ladies' were all open): I don't think that's really acceptable!
The Theatre Royal is a proper venue. It feels suitably grand and there is a fantastic range of performances to choose from. The seats are comfortable enough. It isn't a cheap night out, it is a quality night out!
Clean with good facilities but drinks are expensive
Seen the panto beauty and the beast fantastic gets better every year
Went to see Blood Brothers which was excellent. Beer is very expensive at just under a fiver a pint.
Taken kids a couple if times to the panto. Won't be returning. Flash bags too noisy. Randomly scary pieces too terrifying for small kids. I'm out
We went to see Les Miserables and the Theatre was a brilliant venue for it. Friendly staff and good facilities.
A beautiful room, with friendly, helpful staff and the plays are always of the highest quality, but the seating is just so uncomfortable.
I love the Theatre Royal. The stage is tiny but the place is atmospheric and altogether wonderful.
A wonderful building in Newcastle we watched an Agatha christie play which was very good the theatre has a good selection of plays etc to suit every taste
Beautiful theatre and disabled seats if booked up early enough. Expensive.
Beautiful building a great night could do with a little more heating
Buckets of seating, a variety of shows. Also, free metro travel with your ticket. Typically overpriced snacks so take your own sweets!
Good historic venue. Seats uncomfortable little leg room.
Went to see Spamalot (which was fantastic) in this beautiful theatre. Staff were great and upgraded our tickets as there was space in the stalls. Really made a great night.
Absolutely brilliant performance the theatre is a great place to visit nice to see building like this are still around
The seating in the 'gods' is pretty basic. They were originally concrete benches but had seats attached which means you cant lift them to allow stragglers entrance. Being at the top makes me wonder how they change the ceiling lights - 3 are now glaringly dead. The ice cream at the interval was lovely.
The house on cold hill - I think thats what it was called. I enjoyed it and didnt guess the ending until 5 minutes from the end. Nor did I get the in jokes about the actors who had obviously been on a dancing show. All goid clean fun.
Fantastic Show last Night "Fat Friends " in an amazing Theater. Friendly and Helpful Staff
Welcoming atmosphere. Central for restaurants and bars Ahmed close to public transport. Good parking close by
Went to see.Sunset Boulevard had an amazing night I am a Danny Mac fan for life
Good show, but not the best I have ever seen. Some fab singers though.
The Kite Runner was very good, thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
I always enjoy coming to the Theatre Royal, fantastic staff, great seats and they always have amazing line ups
Beautiful theatre in the city centre which attracts all major productions to the city.
Went with my daughter who treated me to Le mis. Had a fab night. Show was great
Beautiful building, wonderful decor a little cool on the night. Enjoyed the show
Brilliant went to see Cinderella by the Northern ballet group. The costumes and scenery was amazing. Staff very helpful
Went and saw the Scottish Ballet perform the Nutcracker. Absolutely stunning, the whole thing was beautiful.
Love this theatre. As an access customer they have been so accommodating. We sit in stalls, there's decent leg room. Clean, tidy, friendly staff
An absolutely amazing theatre, so gorgeous and even at the back, the seats were amazing. I saw Romeo and Juliet and it was so good! Also, the staff were kind and helpful.
Beautiful building and very friendly staff. Great shows especially the annual Panto!
Fantastic pantomime once more. Absolutely brilliant!
It's a beautiful theatre, seats are a bit narrow for the larger people???
Went to see Macbeth. Really enjoyed the performance, the atmosphere and the theatre
I thought it was amazing. The Panto was brilliant, very funny and very professional. We loved it thank you
Beautiful theatre. The performance of Beauty and the Beast was very good especially the props and special effects. But I was quite disappointed that there were no songs from the original soundtrack of Beauty and the Beast
"Handbagged" was fabulous!! If only it could have a wider audience, the world would be a much better place. The cast were amazing and every single player a gem! The script was so witty and clever, and the casting marvellous. I could really believe I was in the presence of Her Majesty and Mrs T. Thank you to all concerned for such a wonderful production.
Absolutely brilliant show. Les Miserables would highly recommend this.
Fantastic performance of Cats. Thank you for the best version I have had the privilege to see.
A truly beautiful building serving as the centrepiece of Grainger Town - Newcastle's renowned period architecture. It is equally as wonderful inside.
It hosts some great events, and the Christmas Pantomimes are great fun for all!
Went to see captain correlli mandolin. In these days of diversity it was nice to see a mixed race cast, however two actors were miscast and it spoilt the flow of the story and was confusing as at the time of the play all people on the island would have been Greek, Italian or German. Whilst it ticks the inclusive box it took somthing out of the story
Watched opening night of RSC Romeo & Juliet. Enjoyed the production in this fabulous theatre
A brilliant afternoon watching Les Miserables with my daughter
Best panto in the country. Gets better every year. Already got tickets for next year
Such a quaint theatre. Beautiful inside and very cosy. Really good atmosphere and good visual of the stage.
