Best Panto in the North East. Laughter from start to finish. We're never disappointed! Well done Danny Adams and Clive Webb, 13 years on and still as funny.

Visited the theatre to view my first opera, which was tosca.
The oprea was performed with passion and heart by the cast.
The production was very good and orchestra played fantastic.
Everyone did an amazing job, very enjoyable, entertaining to watch.

Inside the theatre staff were professional, welcoming and helpful.
Helping to make the evening such an enjoyable one.

The theatre it's self a beautifully crafted traditional building inside and, such lovely setting to watch an opera.

Only down side was the seats, which are in keeping with the period and style of the building.
But sadly a little bit uncomfortable if your sat for too long, but lucky the performance was split into acts.

So a stretch of the legs followed by a drink in the lovely bar, before heading back to eat h the rest of the performance.

I shall be returning again to watch another performance in the not too distant future

Me and my family were here a couple of weeks ago watching beauty and the beast, the cast are always amazing, my nieces and nephews absolutely love it and we have never laughed so much in one night. Amazing place and amazing cast member thank you for making our night as fantastic and making us laugh so much

Beautiful Theatre.. Centre of town. Loads of pubs and restaurants around.

A beautifully kept old theatre - good viewing and a magical performance made for a very good night out. The theatre caters very well for the audience with a bar, kiosk and toilets and disabled facilities on all three floors so the queues in the interval were kept to a minimum if you hadn't pre-ordered your drinks. Would recommend a visit highly.

Fantastic location, stunning surroundings, brilliant staff and amazing performance of all in Les Miserables - whatever the show I recommend you go to this theatre!!!!!

Rather flat production of Ayckbourn's Ten Times Table not helped by half empty auditorium. This beautiful theatre deserves better.

Took a school group to see the Magic Flute, a wonderful experience thoroughly enjoyed by all.

The Bodyguard, starring Alexandra Burke was AWESOME! She sang amazing and all the cast were awesome too. I've never seen the film, but the stageshow was great, the sound effects and lighting just as great. If you want brownie points off yr other half, and they love the film, they will absolutely love the show. Great venue too.

Went to see les mis and it was great good quality music and enough space to do whatever you need to

Came here to watch the brilliant show We will rock you. Beautiful theatre and friendly staff. We were in the front row of the Amphitheatre seats. Good view but wished I'd booked earlier to get seats lower down, but that's just personal choice.

Went to see Les Miserables loved the acoustics, need to stop charging extortionate prices for drinks

had an incredible afternoon watching less mis earlier. the music and cast together created a great atmosphere. would recommend to many people to go and see it whilst you can

Les Mis is one of my favourite movies. The show was pitch perfect in a beautiful setting. The theatre is a means to an end, albeit with food, wine and a welcoming atmosphere. Choose your shows, enjoy the journey. Variety is the spice of life

Beautifully restored theatre in the heart of the city. Lots of West End and RSC productions performed here.

Beautiful historic venue with great city centre location.

Good variety of shows. Though sometimes seats are prohibitively expensive. I usually opt for the stalls..admittedly dearest. Plenty of leg room and usually good clear view and I'm not very tall. Staff are unfailingly polite, friendly and helpful. Provision for wheelchair users. . It's a beautiful and historic building.

Other opinions may differ, but I've always considered Grey's Monument to be the unofficial center of Newcastle. You can comfortably walk to pretty much everywhere in Newcastle from this spot. The Theatre Royal Newcastle is situated a few meters down the architecturally beautiful (and award winning) Grey Street. The Theatre Royal being the obvious standout with its huge column's. Whenever I have visited the Theatre, the staff and amenities have always been faultless. The seats are comfortable, the view for the most part has been excellent. Though I did have a restricted view during one play (couldn't see the left side of the stage). Though not overly expensive inside the Theatre, some people, including myself, usually meet for a few drinks at The Lady Grey which is a pub on South side of the Theatre as they have a nice selection of ales and the atmosphere is relaxed.

A grand big place where the hygiene is top and the seats are comfy. The throw the most hilarious enjoyable shows for anyone and everyone. Friends or family will treat you like a king/queen if you treat them to a trip their.

Theatre is great, inside could do with some minor refurbishment in some areas or more of a thorough clean and toilets and bar area need urgently looking at as hygiene standards and service are substandard.

Just been to see Cats fantastic production, the cast enjoyed as much as the audience!

Great place to watch theatrical performances however accessibility could be better - the addition of a changing places toilet would be hugely appreciated by the disabled community

An amazing authentic Theatre which has a lot of variety shows, plays and ballet just to mention a few.

Spectacular city centre theatre. Great shows at standard prices. Free metro travel with theatre ticket.
