Good location for family stays near (but not in) Savannah. Great food available as room service. Quaint, but efficient ferries across the river to Savannah downtown. The staff was very friendly.

Very nice. Exactly what I was thinking a great resort would be
I got married here over the weekend. Over the top incredible experiance.
Absolutely beautiful resort, decorated for the holidays complete with a gingerbread village and hot cocoa bar. We ended up staying here after a horrific experience at another resort that was so bad we decided to start back home early and drove from Treasure Island Fl to Savannah and I'm so glad we did. All of the staff here was soo friendly and helpful. The entire campus is spotless and the fire by the river on the chilly nights is a nice touch. The pool wasn't open b/c of some construction which made me a little sad but there was plenty of other things to do w/ a ferry to take us across the river to historic River Street. If you forego made service you actually get a $5 credit or 500 worth of " points" that you can use if you stay there again. The rooms were spotless, stocked with the appropriate travel items, and even a littler roller ball of lavender essential oil to help you get to sleep! We didn't get a chance to take advantage but they also have a full golf course and tennis courts in addition to an onsite Starbucks and multiple restaurants on location. Overall we had an amazing time, we only stayed for two nights and I'm already looking forward to going back!
Will definitely try to come back the next time we're Savannah staff is friendly and pleasant and the young gentlemen with the glasses made valet seem effortless
The hotel is great. The rooms were clean, the staff was nice. The location is across the river from the fun stuff in Savannah, but there is a nice, quick, free ferry that runs twice an hour until midnight. We went to a wedding reception here and the food and venue were delightful.
Our only issue was a snafu with reservations. We originally booked a room with starwood points. We called to upgrade to a suite with cash. Then we called to cancel the suite because one of our travel companions couldn't come. When we checked in, we were given a suite. We thought it was just a sweet deal (ha). Well, they actually didn't process the cancellation, so we were still charged for the suite. They wouldn't remove the charge since we had used the suite for two days (although they did decrease the upgrade cost by half).
Moral of the story: look a gift horse in the mouth, or: if they upgrade you and you don't expect it, make sure you're not going to get charged for it.
Excellent pool area, hot tub and splash park for kids. Food and drinks are pricey and average, but on par with most mid-upper level hotels.
Excellent views, extremely helpful staff, and clean and comfortable rooms.
Great property!! Excellent check in service from Jeannie! Thanks.
I called to inquire about the complimentary ferry that crosses over to Savannah. After asking a couple questions over the phone, the woman hotel employee got very irritated, had an attitude, half laughed and said, "Mam, I don't know everything about the ferry". This was when I was simply asking what times it goes over. She also suggested that I take a taxi(which obviously is not complimentary). What horrible customer service. What a way to welcome your guests! Westin-you have some serious work to do. Will not be staying here in the future or EVER!
It was beautiful and right on the river, and you could take the free ferry across to get downtown.
Great place to Stay ! D and j design group Dwain Lee. Thanks, Bob
Nice hotel with a great view of Savannah. Fabulous staff, large and clean rooms. Relaxing pool area. Practical with the ferry over to downtown.
Loved our stay but with all we did while visiting Savannah, there were times we really wanted to use the hot tub, but they never got it working during our stay. Otherwise, they took good care of our needs as guests
Very nice and professional place. Love staying here.
Very beautiful hotel with great staff! Probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in honestly. I very much enjoyed staying here and would love to again someday
Beautiful serene, elegant and laid back at the same time! What an incredibly beautiful hotel
Average room inside; 11th floor has great view of the river and the pool area. Nothing spectacular, no bells and whistles for me. I was expecting more because of the franchise name but slightly disappointed.
Horrible experience. We were staying at the Westin for the Ranger Regiment Ball. The customer service was horrendous. First, they would not allow my husband to check us in even though they had his card on file. The desk associate was incredibly rude. Then, upon checkout, we were told that the room was going to be close to $300 (we were quoted $117 for the event) because of the almost page long list of hidden fees. They also gave me the wrong invoice, which listed someone else s info - full name, home address, phone number, and credit card information. Can you imagine if that had fallen into the wrong hands?! I will certainly never stay here again.
We had brunch it was OK. In my opinion a little overrated. The valet staff were extremely professional.
Great place to have events or even enjoy a few nights stay! The staff here was very nice and helpful, the hotel was very clean, the layout was pleasant and we enjoyed or evening out. Another positive experience we had was with the food. We are vegan and this event (like just about any other even we have ever been to, lol) was not "catering" to our Abnormal diet, so the staff took extra special care of us and had the chefs make an AMAZING vegan dish for us! That really made our night and we went home very happy and not at all hungry, Thank you so much! On top of all that, there is a lot to do in the surrounding area (Downtown Savannah) and you will not be bored if you stay here... Can't wait to come back in the near future or at most, next year!
The hotel itself is good and certainly lives up to the expectations of this level of luxury hotel.
But it has something really special that makes it stand out - an exclusive private island with a stunning white-sand beach! The 30 minute powerboat ride to Daufuskie Island was worth the $50 alone - we passed historic Fort Jackson and saw loads of wildlife, including several dolphins.
The staff at Bloody Point (named for a French and Indian War battle there) were as charming and as helpful as can be. We chose to spend the day by the beach and we had maybe 2 miles of pristine beach to ourselves. We could have used the pool, or the golf course or taken a ride in a golf cart and explored the island. But the beach was serene! We were there in April and I expect that later in the season you might have a few more sharing your beach, but you'd be hard pressed to find a more deserted beach anywhere.
If you stay at the Westin, book a day or several at Daufuskie Island, and you will feel as if you are on your own private island in some South Pacific paradise.
It's such a beautiful hotel resort...the bars and restaurants are great. The staff is wonderful...my room was nice with a gorgeous view of the river Omg....and the bed was so comfortable I almost melted when I got in those comfortable sheets after a long day of sight seeing! What a wonderful way to spend my birthday!!!
The party is just a complementary boat ride across the river away and when you had enough you are able to retreat to the peaceful tranquility of the Westin Savannah.
The location is excellent and the accommodations are absolutely wonderful. Staff is friendly and the hotel is beautiful. Will definitely be back.
The hotel should allow Dominos and other food delivery apps to deliver in hotel. The hotel is freakin expensive.
This is actually a really extraordinary property for a Westin
Lots of activities in the area. Easy to get to Savannah by the ferry. Nice facilities.
We were at the Westin for a social event and not as over night guests but we loved the hotel. The grounds and amenities are extremely nice and really enjoyed the pool area that overlooks the Savannah River. We had such a great time there we've decided to come back as overnight guest to stay there and take the ferry to River Street to explore Savannah even more.
Well loved the room especially the balcony and also the food was very delicious service was very nice.
Great USDA Symposium 2019, but it seem that the Westin wasn't prepared for us at lunch time.
Seek went out of his way once I arrived after my flight being delayed, they lost my luggage and when it finally arrived everything was wet. He came and form all of my wet things and made arrangements for them to be washed and dryer. His was all on the weekend and the day my conference started. The staff there is truly amazing.
We visited for a wedding and everything was lovely. The setting on the river for the ceremony was gorgeous but they obviously put a lot of effort into all the details of the guests stays as well. The front desk helped us with travel and fixing a huge error we had made when booking. We also thoroughly enjoyed the bar downstairs and all their delicious cocktails.
Hotel is a little dated for the price they charge!!! The one good thing is the convenience to the conference center next door. Nicer accommodations across the river for less money.
We attend a conference here each year, and it is always clean but if your are handicapped, beware, you will have trouble getting across the river. We made the decision to drive to Hardeeville, SC to eat this past year. The rooms are nice and also the meeting rooms.
Great hotel. I love staying there. Would be nice if they had another restaurant.
Love this resort like hotel right on the river!!!
Feels like you are far away!
My wife and I chose this hotel based on staying at the Ft. Lauderdale Westin during our daughter's wedding. This was not a good choice for sure. This was the first vacation we've had in about 10 years, and it was definitely a disappointment, based on this hotel's level of service. We only stayed for 2 nights, but the hotel's maids never visited our room. Very disappointing. After we came back to our room and saw that it had not been cleaned, we called down to at least to get some coffee replacements, it took 2 calls and over an hour to get what we needed.
I contacted the executive secretary to the general manager to find out what happened and to get some sort of relief, and she politely said she was sorry and would look into it and please give her one day, which was last Friday. We have never received a call since then.
There are many choices where to stay in Savannah, and my wife and I would encourage anyone visiting this area to look beyond this hotel for some good service.
Awesome property, great golf course. Keep up the good work!
Bed and room had odor , the customer service from the receptionist when we checked in was not welcoming at all so was the person this morning .I booked a king room and was told I had to take queen beds and my money was non refundable.I ve never been to a 4 star resort and feel like when you inquire things you are being a bother .COVID or not no one should seem this frustrated about their job .
Be aware hotel Ripped me off. I booked with priceline and the hotel still charged me for my stay. I sent them all my statements now I have to dispute it with my credit card company. Hotel doesn't care . I travel every week for work and I spent a $400 just at the pool bar. They lost my business and my companies employees will no longer stay here
Beautiful setting on the water with plenty of things to do. Great food too
Fantastic resort for families and couple's alike. Very courteous staff and top notch service. It has the best location for a hotel in Savannah.
$159 room per night. Very reasonable for this hotel. $30 resort fee daily. Also great if you use the amenities associated with it. (Bikes, golf, spa) $18 self park daily. Spaces were tiny and fill up quickly. Ferry runs frequently across the river and runs late at night. The restaurant prices were very high. $49 Sunday brunch. Didn't like that the spa is not on property but down the road. $135 facials was too much for me. All in all if I made more money I would stay here again.
Nice hotel, clean rooms (though the bathroom needs a little extra care) direct access to the Historic District of Savannah via regular ferry or shuttle. Can you treat yourself quietly.
This property is gorgeous! The staff is very friendly. I want to go back to enjoy the amenities. I only stayed overnight evacuating from Irma.
We stayed one night and what a fabulous experience! The views are spectacular! We had a beautiful river view from the 9th floor! - highly recommend that upgrade! Vanessa the server at the Restaurant gave great service and we had her today at the pool too! Nachos were so good! The room was clean, comfortable and very accommodating! It was seafood and spirit weekend so there was a good crowd -it was a friendly atmosphere and every staff member we encountered was professional and courteous- all staff had smiling faces eager to help! We would highly recommend this property and would definitely be back - next time longer!
Had an 80 minute couples "massage". The lady that gave me my massage I don't think she actually knew how to do a massage. I felt as though I had a back rub the entire 80 minutes. Felt worse than when I first walked in. Not at all the experience I imagined it to be. Unfortunately for me, there was also no manager on duty that day and therefore I was barely given a discount. Paid over $500 and only got a back rub. Very disappointing experience. By the way, I have had many massages in my life to know what a massage it to feel like.
The free gingerbread house display thing is getting where it ain't even worth the drive all the way from ellabell Georgia to Savannah to see it every year it seems to be getting smaller on my four years ago when it took up the whole lobby now it just takes up one small corner of the lobby
Nice rooms, good location, our favorite place to stay
Hotel is beautiful. Downstairs bar really messed it up. Mould on the burger bun, and bartenders spilling most drinks.
We went for the Jazz Brunch on Sunday. Excellent choices on the brunch Table, including Oysters, Salmon, Omelet Station, and Dessert Stations. The Bananas Foster was awesome. The music was excellent, loud enough to enjoy, but low enough that the members of the dining party could have good conversations. A venue that one can visit on multiple occasions.
My family and I wanted to end our summer vacation at a resort since the word alone conjures images of pampering and relaxation. We had been on the road for two weeks touring the eastern US and this was our final stop. When we went to the pool we found it to be a cloudy, green color. I complained about the quality of the pool to management but no one responded or even checked. In addition the pool deck was being pressure washed for hours starting at 9:30AM... imagine the loud, high pitch sound of the machine. We left very stressed and unhappy. Apparently this hotel is not a resort/spa but a sleeping place for conventioneers. The existence of two nearby strip clubs confirms this statement. Stay away from here and spend your money elsewhere.
Recently I dined here with my family for the brunch buffet. Ask for Rhonda, she's the best and made my family feel at home. :-) also great food and live music too. 10/10, will return!
Other than a dispute with the front desk over a higher rate being charged at checkout than website price...our stay was good. Beautiful grounds, excellent riverfront view and the convenience of the ferry to River Street coming right to hotel.
Pretty good nice rooms too. Only wish the breakfast was better
Everything was great very safe Was very Safe (covid-19) Very clean
Here for a work conference. Nice clean rooms, great conference support and catering, wonderful view of the river.
Great service and nice employees. Check in and check out was a breeze. The ferry to cross the river was very convenient. Had a great time!
Here the plus: hotel is beautiful and clean and employees are nice but thats it!
Now the truth: we booked a room facing the water and we paid more for it, nope we got the golf side. We called to let them know of their mistake and wanted to charge us again 40.00 more!!! Then we were told Complimentary breakfast on the second floor. Nope again! 12.00 for 2 pieces of toast and the cook in the back which you can see clearly wasn't wearing a mask. And there were signs EVERYWHERE to wear a mask foe everyone's safety....lol... Thats was a joke. Hotel doesn't enforce it. Oh and surprise you will be charged 20.00 to park your car in there parking lot and 33.00 in hotel "fees"
So let's recap website said 99. Per night we paid extra for water front 129. And didn't get it the wanted to charge up another 40. On top of that. Free breakfast again nope. Charge to park your car. Extra "fees" and of course the normal high taxes. Would i stay here again? That would be a HELL NO!!!
Beautiful hotel. Went for a wedding reception. The food was great and the view to river street was amazing.
The place to stay when you visit Savannah. A short river taxi gets you to all the action.
I m conflicted. The property is very nice and the staff on site is great, but I had two rooms, they billed restaurant items incorrectly, didn t give me the resort credits I booked my package with, double charged me for parking after I told them I only had one car, and haven t fixed the charges in 2 weeks running. Frustrating.
Service was awesome and the staff will make you feel at home.
Very luxurious setting. There are free bikes to ride around and enjoy the island. It's situated right next to the convention center which makes meetings very handy.
