Suites are great. We had a two bedroom lock off. It worked out great with my parents and our son. We stayed in the one bedroom and my son on the pull out couch. The property is beautiful. The spas were hit and miss with the jets and the temp but that was minor.

The villas are spacious and clean. Some have amazing ocean views and peakaboo views of the lighthouse. Even the smallest studio villas have an adequate kitchenette. There are plenty of BBQs available around the property. The pools are beautifully themed and great for small children, but I wish at least one was slightly deeper than 4 feet. I would give it 5 stars, but all the food options available on site are over priced.

This place is outstanding. Here for honeymoon and so glad we chose this place. There are several pools onsite with multiple hot tubs. Feels small and private which makes for a great honeymoon vacation. The infinity pool near building 6 is so fun. Great for kids if you have them come along! Drinks are pretty good at the bar which is nice.
Tips:
-pack light as the villas include a washer and dryer.
- when you get here take a drive to the Princeville center 2 miles away to get groceries. The room includes a nice full size fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster, blender, dish washer, sink and all the kitchen equipment to cook and to grill outside. Grills are all over the property. So go to Foodland at the Princeville center and save money by cooking and grilling. Food at the restaurant is not that great and very expensive you're much better off cooking!
-rent a car. Can't really do much without your own vehicle. No uber around here.
-for the adventurous types, drive the 1 or 2 miles over to Queens Bath. It's not an easy hike to get to once you arrive but it's well worth it. Just make sure you take appropriate shoes and be ready to get muddy. Also don't jump in unless you're an amazing swimmer. It apparently gets deathly dangerous during the winter months so only go during summer season to be safe. Not safe for children so don't bring them!
-ask the concierge what you should do. They're very nice and helpful.
-DEFINETLY drive or shuttle over to the st. Regis beach it's so nice and private. Just go there, play by the beach (calm waters, no waves!), hang at the hot tub and get drunk

Only set back I have about the Westin Villas is that the knife set was extremely dull. It was difficult cutting a pineapple. Other than that 5 stars!

I stayed at the Westin for my sister-in-laws wedding, which was being held at the St. Regis. The Westin is beautiful, with clean grounds and nice amenities. I stayed in the one room suite, which was really spacious and came with a compete operable kitchen and king size bed. The rooms are clean and up to date. The food at the Westin was also delicious. The wedding rehearsal was held at the Nanea restaurant, and their steak and chocolate dessert was fabulous. The staff are helpful and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable too. You can take the shuttle to the St. Regis to use their beach also which is nice.

We were so pleased with our stay at The Westin in Princeville! The property is so beautiful and our villa with an ocean view was clean and well equipped with all we needed. Mel at the concierge desk was amazing! She was so friendly and helpful. She was very knowledgeable about the island and made a few great recommendations! Mahalo Mel and the Westin for making our stay so lovely.

Decent place, its a time share resort, so lots of old people and a few families. Kitchens and grill stations around the resort made cooking a few nights easy, plus theres a decent grocery store 5 minutes from the resort to load up on stuff for your stsy. The pool bar is good, though happy hour is quite lacking (literally an hour from 330 to 430). If you stay here, make sure to rent a car to experience all that kauai has to offer.

Quiet, comfortable Villas on the north shore. Villas are fully equipped and offer beautiful views. Multiple pools and hot tubs on the property, and they offer activities for the kids. A great place to vacation.

Beautiful place with extremely helpful, friendly staff. I was only able to stay for one night, but would happily have stayed for longer.
The suites are spotlessly clean and have everything you could possibly need, including personal washing and drying facilities.
I was also able to check out at ten, but continue to use the pool and facilities for the rest of the day. Then I was offered a free complementary room to shower and freshen up in before I needed to leave.
Had problems with my next accommodation and the front desk staff allowed me to use the phone to call my next hotel to get things sorted. Everyone was just so helpful and the atmosphere here is incredibly welcoming.
I will definitely return if I'm ever on Kauai island again.

The location is really nice and has great views of the ocean and golf course yet does not have access to the ocean itself. The rooms are very spacious including a full kitchen and washer dryer also sofa bed and room with a door. The service can sometimes be very slow but ok n general is very cooperative.

Beautiful grounds. Just keep in mind there is no beach you have to take a shuttle to the beach. The rooms are nice and amenities are OK. They do not recognize Marriott Bonvoy status (gold, platinum...) And have a 10am checkout and 4 pm check in no matter what unless you pay extra. All in all I wasn't truly impressed with this Westin compared to other Westins I have stayed at.

Lovely place, lovely staff, only thing is we went for Christmas dinner and there isn't a lot of food to chose from or variation between the options there. And the vegetarian menu didnt have any options. If there was menu to view online before we made the reservation I probably would have not gone here for Christmas dinner, especially for the price and having no options. But it was very good what I did eat.

Beautiful resort. We stayed in a great room overlooking the course and ocean. The Sunday brunch was good but personally, I would save the money and hit up one of the great brunch spots nearby. Other than the so-so brunch food, the resort was beautiful, great location, and good workout room.

This resort is beautiful. The grounds are perfectly manicured with a variety of flowers, bushes and trees. The pools were very clean and a nice temperature. There are fountains and spots all around to take lovely pictures. I was so impressed with how helpful and friendly the staff was. Every interaction I had with staff members was excellent. I cannot wait to visit again.

Upon arrival, the amount of upscale was ridiculous, but expected. However the long 1:30hour wait for our room to he ready was very unprofessional and left us late for our dinner that night. However the location is nice and even the studio rooms provide enough space for a family of 3 and of course provides a place to sleep

My family and I have been coming to Hawaii for over a decade now and this is our fourth time we've stayed here in Princville at the Westin. There's not very much to find to criticize here at this amazing Westin property. The staff are friendly and really seem to genuinely appreciate you while you're at the resort. Our only disappointment was the the Princville Resort is no longer a St. Regis property so we are no longer able to have the convenience of charging our charges at the beautiful hotel back to the Westin. You can't go wrong here, they take great pains to keep it updated and relavent and the grounds and the views are spectacular.

-Difficult time checking in. Very disappointing especially after a long day of travel and jet lag. I reserved a 2-bedroom villa and when I arrived, one was not available. They asked us to temporarily check into the smaller part of the 2 BR villa and notified us when the larger part was ready. When we checked into the the larger part, it wreaked of cigarette smoke. Can't believe the cleaning crew didn't notice and report this! Anyway, this did not work for us as I am "severely" allergic to smoke. Consequently, they put us in 2 separate units (not what I had reserved) the first day and asked us to be out by 10 am the next day. We did not have the 2 BR Villa until 4 PM on day 2. It took a total of 2 whole days to get officially checked in and unpacked. When your vacation is only one week, that's 2 days of wasted time. I found this lack of flexibility shocking considering the entire 3rd floor was not occupied. Only floors 1 and 2 were occupied.
-Restaurant food was priced as high-end cuisine, but the food was pretty bad.
-Location of hotel was beautiful, but a bit too remote for us.
-Golf course next to hotel was also beautiful.
-Extremely quiet part of the Island. If remote and quiet is what you are looking for, then this is the place for you. If you want a little exciting vibe, this is definitely not the place for you.
-If I were to return to Kauai, I would definitely consider staying on the south side of the Island, i.e., the Marriott, where it is warmer and dryer. The northern part of the island, where we stayed, is cooler and it rains more.

Outstanding service from beginning to end Sarah at Guest Services, Justine and Cass in Food and Beverage were great. Alex with Guest Services shared some great knowledge and lastly there was my guy Logan. Logan had the most laid back demeanor all the while being a consummate professional. The service he provided along with the local information was superb. All of these associates should be recognized for their great jobs.

Beautiful place, kind staff and great view from our Villa. Lots of upselling but I'm told that's standard for these places. Food needed some more spice and the breakfast buffet was cold but the grounds themselves and room was lovely.

Pros: rooms are nice and include a kitchenette with all the tools you'd need a well as a washer dryer with soap
grounds look nice
staff is nice and helpful.

Cons:
location is on opposite side of island from majority of activities which isn't too bad if you don't plan on going anywhere or enjoy a long drive.

Birds are a bit aggressive at buffet, and no action is taken to deter them from swarming the breakfast area.

it's a bit classless to charge $15 a day for parking when you're already paying resort prices and most guests would need to use a car considering the location.

We have a nice villa oveooking the quiet pool. We have been spoiled by all of the amenities of previous Westin SPG properties, this one feels like staying in an extended stay hotel, nothing overly special.

This building is only about 10 years old, which makes a huge difference on this little island. Most places you stay in out here are masking much needed updates and damage. There are 2 different pool areas and one is "quiet pool" which is kind of a kids free area. 5 or 6 grill stations everyone has access to and plenty of resort activities for kids and adults. Westin focuses on wellness so they have pretty healthy meals offered, a great fitness center and their location is PERFECT for jogging walking and running on wide beautiful sidewalks. It's a nice spot to stay.

Where do I begin. The Wailele pool bar staff are amazing. They give great, friendly service. Chris and Nancy are very accommodating to all the guests needs. Also, the fun team members are very helpful. Jen, Masa, and Derek are doing a great job with lessons, fitness, and fun activities. At the front desk Gina is always helpful and friendly. Treva and Donte are very safe and courteous shuttle bus drivers. Last, but not least, the bellmen made our day. Sam, Shannon, LJ, Taylor, Steve, and Elijah treat us like we are family. We always enjoy our visit .

We are in the middle of our stay. The grounds are beautiful but there is maintenance going on around our building that make it inconvenient to get around. And parking is limited, so you have to valet if you leave and do not get back early enough. The rooms are great and the staff is very friendly. Jana was our personal concierge and she was awesome.

This isn't my first time to the world of Starwood ...

This isn't my first time to the world of Starwood timeshares, so I know this isn't like a typical first class hotel resort. The place lacks SERVICE on the basic operations level. Case in point: I had my cc stolen 3 days before I left for Kauai. My bank said they would send the card here. After 8 days in transit, it never showed up. I asked a front desk person, not once, not twice, but three times if I could cash a personal check for ANY amount. She had to go back to her manager to ask each time because apparently she didn't know how to respond to such a guest request like mine. I then asked the front desk manager to speak with me, and he told me to go to a local Princeville bank and cash a personal out of town check for cash there. After I questioned the manager as to which bank on Kauai would cash an out of town check from a non local, he confessed he had no idea and maybe "I could ask around some of the staff or concierge..."

When you factor the cost and investment it takes to come to a property like this, it is quite disingenuous when hotel staff speak to you like you just walked in off the street and had no regular credit card (other family member) presented and held on file while staying. No apology, no sincerity, just plain ignorant disrespect. You could pay a whole lot less and be treated better elsewhere on this island.

Beautiful location and hotel. Small kitchen, washer and dryer in the room, big bathrooms. The market on the property was convenient and reasonably priced. We did the Sunday breakfast buffet and it was expensive, but fantastic.

The hotel is stingy with towels. Go to Walmart to pick some up so you don t have to worry about it or pack your own and simply wash in the room.

Beautiful manicured grounds, pools and good facilities..a refresh is due but the resort still has some class...but...charging for dvds$5 per diem- ludicrous.. and a resort fee??!.note to management- try giving a little back, it'll be good for you.

The resort had a nice pool and most of the staff was very accommodating. My wife and I are platinum guests and were offered an upgrade to a suite up arrival (standard for platinum guests to be upgraded if a better room is available) but we were informed this would be an $85 up charge which was unusual that this would not be complimentary for a platinum guest. We passed on this option and took the normal room, however, when we arrived the room did not feel like it was cleaned thoroughly. Multiple hairballs were in the bathroom/shower and the comforter had a large stain on it. In order to have the room cleaned we were not able to take advantage of the green choice option for the following day. On the third day of our stay our floor began smelling of rotting food, not totally unusual since these are villas and we just assumed that a room had not been cleaned yet. We informed the cleaning staff and the front desk of the smell but it was over 24 hours before anything was taken care of. We had to call the next morning to remind the front desk of the issue which doesn't seem like something that you should have to follow up on, especially at a hotel as well regarded as the Westin. The front desk offered us a $25 resort credit for the inconvenience. The fifth day of our stay we called the night before to remove the green choice and have the room cleaned the following day but this was forgotten and again we had to call the front desk the following day to remind them. Overall the stay was fine but I would look to stay elsewhere the next time we visit Kauai. For the cost of 65,000 points or over $400 per night I think that there are much better options out there. We drained our points for a very lack luster experience and I would encourage others to look into the staying elsewhere. The St. Regis (Princeville Resort) is similar in price and people we spoke to on the island spoke very highly of their experience and the amenities included, also seems to be in a much more desirable location. I would look into staying here instead of the Westin Princeville if I was able to do it over.

Nice resort for self-catering - we had a top equipped kitchen (with pots, could cook for themselves). Great facility; many shops nearby (of course rather pricey, but very well sorted). The beach is gorgeous - but costs a bit of effort on the footpath- but there is also a shuttle. We liked it a lot!

Beautiful hotel, great staff, amazing pool area. Quiet and relaxing. It's about as close to a perfect resort as you can get, the only exception being less than ideal proximity to the beach, which is shared with the neighboring St. Regis, and thus a walk away.

Parking is NOT good. Hard to find a place close to unit. For anyone with physical challenges it is very difficult to get around. Lots of slanted walk ways and hard to manage with cane or walker.
Went out for dinner at 5:30 PM and when we returned had to park way up by
check in entrance and down road to get to our building. If you're young and not challenged its OK. But very pricey for what you get. Rooms are nice but access not good. Hallways to units need painting. They should have shuttle service to take you to your unit even if it's just a golf cart if you have to park far from your unit in the dark. Would not come here again.
Personnel very pleasant and helpful but, doesn't make up difference with parking issues. NO assigned spots and very few handicap spots.

Clarification: 4 minus. We got some sort of package deal, so it was also a great value (5 nights and a car rental for less than three nights stay at the normal rate). Pros: great location, service, amenities (small, but full kitchen), beautiful facilities, beds/linens. Cons: we asked for a third floor room, and we're given a third floor room in a building without a working elevator (and didn't know this until we showed up with five heavy pieces of luggage)

It's pretty good, but lots of annoying little things. Walls are pretty thin, housekeeping had not visited after we came back from a tour at 2pm, there's a loud ringing from the equipment by pool / building 5, and room service is very pricey. The pools are pretty nice, the rooms are nice, there's no resort fee, there's "free" WiFi, and the Nanea restaurant is great.

It is a beautiful hotel with a great view. The restaurant is fairly average, but the workers are really nice. There are two pools, both of which are really nice and not chlorinated. I haven't stayed the night, so I can't comment on the rooms, but I'm sure they are also very enjoyable.

The Westin Princeville is probably one of the best hotels out here in Kauai. If you are a SPG platinum member, don t expect much difference since it s more of a residence hotel and not a hotel. It has a kitchen so great for cooking! Facilities are great! Met Pierce Brosman in FoodLand!
