Quiet. Beautiful desert landscape and city view of Tucson.
If you haven't been to the Southwest, you are in for a treat. The setting is A+. The pool area is 1st class. Our room had 2 queen beds and was above average. We had a great view of the city skyline. Excellent appetizers at the lobby lounge.
Suite ferry spacious with generous amenities. Grounds well kept. Staff knowledgeable about local environs and city.
We had a wonderful time the staff in the pool area we're Great. The staff in the restaurant we're Great. Has a lovely time relaxing in the sun. All except for a check in lady named Tracy. She was the only rude person to my daughter and myself. Will avoid her on our next visit.
Our 2017 best vacation place. Very very friendly and helpful staff. Though dated, it's very well maintained. Beautiful sunrise and sunset. I just love this place
Need to be more clear about what the room will actually have in it. More soap and shampoo already in the room. Qtips
Good shepherd ranch carriage company at a wedding @ la paloma
love this place! rooms could be a little cleaner but it's a nice staycay!
Typical Westin experience, set in the foothills of Tucson. Don't expect any upgrades even if you have high level status with SPG at this resort.
The Price for two nights was not worth the experience. Has weird tax called tourism... It is extremely lavish, but not in my price range.
We really liked our stay. Only 4 nights, but it was really good. Loved the clay courts for tennis, and the ceviche at Contigo was incredible. (Although I was pretty hungry after riding up Mt Lemmon) all of the staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel is dog friendly as well, which we really appreciate. Definitely would recommend.
It was absolutely amazing with my allergies and a beautiful scenery
This is the most beautiful place to relax and get out of the valley heat...
Worst resort I've ever been too. 1. Website advertises multiple services that are no longer available. "Oh, we're sorry, that's old information". 2. No room service or house keeping. 3. They have apparently contracted outside security, but hotel employees and security have different rules, major disconnect. Security is rude, obtrusive, and abrasive. Constant bag checking and harassment in the pool area. Pool is supposed to be open at 7 AM. Not once was it. Random entrances blocked off. Lines would form waiting for security to open gates. Resort employees constantly had to find security to open pool. No other security in rest of facility, only at pools. Over all unpleasant experience, huge waste of money. Many other resorts in Tucson at same price point or less with more accommodating staff and nicer facilities. Will not be back.
Didn't have the room I requested nor foam pillows but overall, the service was excellent, views were beautiful, and food was good.
What a fantastic trip!! This place was very nicely laid out and clean. The service was top notch and they seemed to always be a step ahead. The rooms where a bit dated and seemed like they could use an update to the 20th century, but they were still nice. I would highly recommend checking this place out if you have the time. They on site restaurants are all amazing as well.
The staff were all very helpful and never said no to a request. Highly recommend staying here!
There check in isn't until 4:00 and the room was still not ready. They need more help. Very disappointing. Will never stay here again. I truly gave them two chances but both times were failures.
Cool location in the hills. Not ideal for business travel. Lots of walking from building to lobby. Great staff. Incredibly helpful. Nice coffee lounge with more options than I expected. Bar drinks are pricey and not great. During the height of summer you can get really good deals if you can tolerate the heat.
Won't be staying here again. The pools are nice but the fact that the rooms have double beds and there's no Continental breakfast is ridiculous considering what is charged for a room.
I originally gave this resort 5 stars because of the friendly staff, beautiful landscape and views, and the fitness center. However, now on my 4th night after being awoken when the folks above us get into their room, I have to lower my rating. The banging and vibrations lasts for 2 hours every night. Noise makers don't drown it out, we tried. Either reserve the top floor, bring noise canceling headphones or don't come. We requested the top floor but were ignored. Additionally, prepare to be nickel and dimed for everything food related. Gratuity is added at random times and is 20%. It will be added no matter your party size as there was just 2 of us. There is a $30/day resort charge that is not warranted. There is a large delivery fee for room service (can't remember exactly, but it's around $15). Garbage sat outside our room for 2 days. This is the least impressive Westin I have stayed at. We will not be back although Tuscon itself is lovely!
Quiet. Patio room. Starbucks coffee in room. Great staff
4.5 Overall I really enjoyed this resort! Employees were very kind and helpful from the gift shop to the maids. The view here is wonderful! The tennis courts and athletic club were beautiful and offered great classes with great instructors. I wish the resort mgr. who checked me in had informed me that I could use the spa amenities even without buying a service--found that out too late, bummer. I enjoyed the mineral pool tho some parents did not tell their kids to read the adult only sign. I spent 1st night in a room that had the smell of sewage but a female mgr. kindly moved me to a better room the next morning. I wish the beds had firmer mattresses due to my back issues--didn't sleep well. Food was okay. The high schoolers came and were very noisy which disturbed my rest, however, kind female mgrs., (Natalia was one), along with upper management cared enough to compensate for this inconvenience. I was charged a few hundred dollars for some reason day 1 and still waiting for that to be returned to my account but overall I recommend this resort and would definitely return again!
Terrible customer service, room was not as requested and they discriminate against veterans. Stayed there and service was terrible, manager emailed to say he was sorry. Gave it another try and the experience was worse than the previous stay. Stay at the Hilton Conquistador in the same area, the service and amenities are much better and their rewards system is superior.
Went here for an annual media conference. While shooting a video for the conference I was hostilely approached by Director of Sales Art Zendher, who shouted at me and threatened to throw me out, even raising his voice in front of his own guests in the bar area. (He obviously did not know that I was apart of a large group of teachers staying at the resort). The GM responded with the standard "we're sorry that this happened to you, we are looking into it." What a joke. Nice resort. Art Zendher needs to be shown how to maintain a sense of calm and professionalism when dealing with his guests. The Marriott brand deserves better.
A beautiful resort to let the residents fell natural and like home stay. Lots of facility are very friendly like tennis court, fitness gym, swimming pool, and so on. I attended a international conference here, and I was treated very well, and all the presentation rooms are suitable and clean. All the weather in Arizona is quite good when I stayed there. By the way, I wrote three post cards and sent all of them to the front desk, asking for sending. I was surprised those postcards will be sent with complimentary. All in my memory is good here.
Amazing staff, pool and food. Very clean and welcoming.
Enjoyed my stay. The mineral pool and view are awesome.
Was over billed and attempted to have corrected by 4 different people none of which contacted me back. After several attempts to let the hotel resolve the issue and was given no response I have to give 1 star for a company that can act so unethically and cannot even call a customer back.
We stayed in a master suite and the floors were disgusting. All of our feet were black after being barefoot in the room for 20 minutes.
Beautiful grounds and views. The staff is fantastic, especially Peter who goes above and beyond to provide an amazing experience for guests. The onsite restaurants are delish.
I think the best part of this resort is the foothill views of the city at night, They also have a Jack Nicklaus designed golf course. The have sunday brunch that is outstanding. The wanna get away rate in the summer time when its boiling hot in Tucson is very affordable, if you cant afford the winter rates, take advantage of this excellent summertime room rate!
Definitely not upscale, more like a family resort. Very loud, especially if you have people with kids, or a herd of buffalo staying on the floor above.
The rooms are average, and the resort fee is ridiculous. I won't stay here again.
Westin needs to update the property, add sound insulation, smooth out the walkways, and add padding under the carpet.
Great experience with the family. Areas of the resort could use some updates. Very positive experience
As always, events at La Paloma are amazing, and the staff is a huge part of that. The resort is always in impeccable shape, the staff is friendly and courteous, and the food is amazing. We go every year to the TMC Gala that is held there and leave very happy. We look forward to many more years.
Attended a fundraiser last night. The dinner left a lot to.be desired.
Great place to stay! Love it when conventions are here
Very nice, beautiful atmosphere and excellent staff!
Great rooms , outstanding service ,amazing pools and fun for the whole family as well as Fantastic and challenging golf course, With awesome views .
Beautiful, great food, lovely room, great employees. Had a fabulous time!
This place is very nice, relaxing, but it was super busy yesterday! So many people! We were hoping to get some drinks & appetizers, but had to wait for about an hour, so we weren't able to do that!
Rooms were great, service and food was terrible. AZul food was bland and dry. Pool service was slow and drinks tasted terrible. They have a Starbucks onsite but their drinks taste nothing like Starbucks drinks. Had billing issues and left multiple messages over a week span and never got a call back. Left 3 messages for accounting, left a message for the General Manager Jim and never got a call back. Very disappointed!
As far as conference spots go, the Westin never disappoints.
AMAZING! Beautiful, relaxing, friendly staff. Incredible place. The pool was incredible! I'll be back.
What a wonderfully inspiring evening of fundraising at the Westin La Paloma The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Enjoyed the evening with the band playing lots of dancing music A great celebration with the generosity of many loving donors PCOA is helping our community member live longer, happier lives
I recently stayed at the Westin La Paloma Resort for a conference. The resort offered everything I could want.
The multiple restaurants offer fantastic food and drink options. Gluten free items are clearly marked on each menu. The bar is a bit pricey, but it has a great selection.
The pools offer areas for everyone, including water slides, a hot tub with a waterfall, and a zero entry area.
The fitness center is easily the best I have seen at a resort. They have a large array of cardio equipment and weight machines.
I stayed at the Westin La Paloma November 1-4, 2019 with a group of 12 women for my 50th birthday. The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The building and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The food at the main restaurant, Azul, was excellent and had healthy options. The fitness center, tennis courts, and spa were all in impeccable shape. But the best part was ALL of the employees were so kind and attentive and went out of their way to help us have an amazing stay. It's a great value for what you get. I highly recommend this hotel!!
My husband and I have attended serveral community health seminars at The Westin La Paloma Resort and have always had an awesome experience. It's a beautiful 5-star resort nestled in the Catalina Mountains that we highly recommend.
Service was excellent. The golf course is beautiful and in great shape. The course is quite challenging. The rooms are spacious and quite comfortable.
Too far from parking lot to rooms
Nice room.
Pretty area. Some staff super nice. Some not so helpful. Pretty pricey. Guest above our room stomped all day and night. Housekeeping came super early first day, it's almost 4PM now and no sign of her.
The AC had a certain stench to it. The hotel is far from activities or entertainment. If you want a peaceful and serene experience and not leave the hotel, then this hotel is a good option for you. Beautiful scenery.
Great views. Pool is awesome. Lots of events though so hard to access common areas
The space we were in for our summit was large and well situated for our meeting. The food provided was delicious and plenty of beverages were available. Every meeting I've attended at La Paloma has been in a beautiful space and has a feeling of class.
Great views. Good golf course. Some rooms can be quite a distance between the rooms and the lobby, and can be even greater for parking. Staff was amazing. Would definitely stay again
Nice grounds, but not very easy to navigate. Rooms are well appointed, but a bit noisy. Long walk to the parking and pools.
This is an excellent choice for a private getaway or major event. Great facilities, excellent staff,. Great food and beverage with spectacular views and lots of nearby entertainment.
These people are horrible and extremely rude totally took my money and wouldn't give me a refund after I paid for 5 days and didn't even spend there once. I will never come there again.
Beautiful Resort in a beautiful location. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Restaurants in the hotel were also delicious. I would also like to thank the front desk staff for being extremely pleasant and going above and beyond to make their guests happy.
The pools are lovely, especially the mineral pool. Great for a family staycation or a game of golf. The view of the Catalina Mountains is breathtaking. Staff is friendly and helpful.
The pool was great and the staff was very friendly.
The beds in this room are made for kids. Not even queen size. Double beds to small for 2 adults to sleep in. Slept horrible last night. Ordered room service last night for dessert a d it took an hour and half before food arrived which was so so for the price. Lowes ventana canyon is far superior to la paloma in my opinion. Hotel itself is nice and pool area is really cool. Kids love water slide other than that don't know if I would stay here again.
Fantastic atmosphere. Definitely a place to relax for a few days...
I visited the Westin resort for a business conference. Overall the experience was enjoyable, however, there are a few inexperienced employees. We had an issue where someone got hit with a golf cart and the employee drove off without even trying to help! The management team were very responsive about the incident, but I still think they should have a protocol in place for something like that. However, I will say that it is a very nice place with a beautiful view of the mountains.
Amazing Staff, beautiful hotel! Pics on website are amazingly accurate!
Fantastic resort and great service. Beautiful location and nice rooms
Resort is great, and located close to just about anything you'd want to do in town. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Staff is always polite and seems happy to help, and the room is nice and clean, and comfortable.
What a beautiful view and such a palatial feeling. The staff were all very happy and polite.
i had stayed here years ago and it was ok. This time however was different. I had booked a 2 night stay through Groupon over Labor Day. When we arrived in our room we discovered a large wet spot on the carpet that turned out to be urine. The front desk offered to switch us rooms, but we had to wait for more people to check out. While we were waiting, my wife and I took our kids to the pool. We saw a child of about 10 throwing up multiple times on the pool deck, after which he got in the pool to rinse off. Another guest, unrelated to the boy threw some water on the vomit to help get rid of it but there was to much. When my wife reported it to the pool staff they put a couple towels over it. When we went to the front to switch rooms the manager was very rude and so we decided to leave. I only gave one star bc I cannot give none. If you like wet urine on your carpet and swimming in vomit, this is the place for you!!!!!
The Internet (included in the resort fee) is unbearably slow in my hotel room.
