The pool was awesome. The room was nice. There was a lot of very little things that happened that made it not the best resort I've been too. One example we wanted to play tennis and we asked the front desk about renting gear they said check at the courts. But they neglected to tell me that the court was closed and you had to rent the gear from the fitness center instead. It was a lot of stuff like that

I have always liked the Westin La Paloma. They have nice rooms and amenities available. Events at the resort are always nice and the facilities are clean. The food is delicious and I've never had a bad meal at the resort. I highly recommend it for a out of town vacationer or a stay-cation.
This place was so fun! Family and and I (3 kids) visited during 4th of July weekend and they had so many activities for 9ur kids as well as adults. Complimentary wate everywhere. Pools were fun, one of the pools had a swim in bar with was convenient, the slide was definitely our kids favorite. We for sure would recommend this place.
The staff are all welcoming and committed to making sure your stay is comfortable and satisfying. That to me is very important in your overall experience. This is our 3rd stay at this hotel and has become our home away from home. The hotel director of housekeeping is committed to ensuring guests have an excellent experience. We look forward to our next stay at this hotel! Thank you!!
A nice place with nice amenities. Had a couple cleanliness issues (nothing that would prevent me from visiting again). They got me taken care of and went out of their way to make things right. The pools were beautiful. They have a water More
Ate at the Azul Restaurant ~the food was delicious but the flies were atrocious and wouldn't stop bothering us as we were eating~we did mention it to the wait staff but they were not alarmed. Would not come back for this reason alone.
This place is gorgeous! Amazing pools and hot tubs. The drinks at the pool are a little pricey and no microwaves in rooms unless you ask. A lot of wildlife on the resort.
You are paying for the pool area, if you are here for work and are on a night shift don't plan on sleeping much. Every time someone walks past the room and bed shakes and doors being shut several rooms away will wake you up due to poor sound insulation. For people on normal schedules you likely won't encounter these issues.
Rooms are in desperate need of renovating, for the price you pay, this should be underway already. Pool area is quite nice and the location is great, I suppose this is what you are paying for...still doesn't make the rooms acceptable though.
Beautiful decor and excellent location, a bit stuck up though. Had to wait for 20 mins to check in because the desk clerk was suspicious of my payment..
Beautiful well maintained resort. The staff are professional. If there is a thorn in this desert rose it would be that the Valet are NOT alway professional nor are the always polite. I stayed here twice for business & a week each time. I used Uber for transportation off the site & several times witnessed valet be very rude to the drivers. This is a great service & they should happy that drivers accommodate hotel guest. The drivers I had were polite & had great things to say about La Paloma. Looking forward to my next visit.
We were gifted an overnight stay here. Dinner was above par. Service overall was great. My wife loved the showers but not the lavender scent. Wife loved the pool and assorted water facilities. Late check-out not a problem this day despite my worries.
They seemed to be under staffed. Long waits for the room to check in. Long waits at the restaurant. However, rooms were nice and clean, food was really good and the staff that was there were good and tried hard to provide good service.
Beautiful pools, mountain views, and golf courses. There is even a big slide for the kids and grownup children. The restaurant is great and there are lots of activities to do on the grounds.
Loved my stay here. Room had a great view of the mountains, the pools were great, the pool staff wasn't as quick as I'd like but being picky at that point. Wifi was great, no lag. Shower pressure was pretty good. Room was nice and big. Not a 5 star resort but I dare you to find something better for the money. It's about 20 minutes from anything downtown so not too bad.
Attended a wedding reception here. The outdoor space was beautiful; it overlooked the mountain and pool area. The bar and restaurant area looked really lovely as well, and I will be making dinner reservations soon.
Great place, several pools to relax at as well as plenty of kid friendly activities drinks are a little spend but it's a resort so comes with the territory.
I didn't have a great experience checking in, but the staff was very nice. The room was a little dirty, and the upstairs neighbors were extremely loud.
I jave enjoyed my stays here at the Westin. The rooms have been clean, spacious and comfortable. The food and the staff have been wonderful.
The only issues I had were housekeeping related, no towels on the firts night and not replenishing tea and lotion. All were quickly rectified with a call to guest services.
Gorgeous hotel with a golf course that looks to be in great shape. Very nice pool areas and lots of outdoor space, great view of the mountains also. Had a very pleasant stay!
Let me start off by saying the views are spectacular. The lobby is spectacular. The pool is nice and warm. There is a kiddy pool for the kids to play in. However our stay here deteriorated as the last days approached. The spa in my opinion is overpriced for the services offered. The breakfast is rather limited for a 4 star resort and it reminded me more of a hotel continental breakfast. The guests upstairs began making a lot of noise around 10:30 at night which made it very difficult to fall asleep. We called multiple times but there was really nothing done until we demanded a new room because it was almost midnight and the stomping had not ended. House keeping came one day and did not clean a thing. Just left towels. This place is beautiful. But somethings are off.
$120 pwr night and you cant even give free wifi? Seriously if you wat to be able to have 3 devices conected to the wifi its $13 per damn night. And breakfast costs extra too. Snave yoursel
A favorie place. This time while I was being driven to our room the chef was walking by and stopped us to show us a hummingbird nest full of newly hatched baby birds. The setting is beautiful, natural desert. Nice pool areas. The hotel is older but recently renovated. Nice sized rooms with balcony or patio
Excellent resort. Rooms are spacious and quiet and the scenery is breathtaking. Alot to do at the resort (tennis, swimming, and my favorite the swim-up bar) but also local activities.
Great place to relax in the sun. I would go there again. The grounds are beautiful. The pool is fun. The restaurants are good. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 are little things like a noisy air conditioner at night and a couple little things. But the value is great.
Not impressed for this stay. Stayed a total of two weeks on a work trip (wife and kids with me for 7 of the 13 days). I understand staffing issues with COVID, however, no room service for two weeks, no cleaning supplies provided, and trash sitting outside my room for over 48 hrs at one point is unsatisfactory. At least leave me some cleaning supplies and make rounds for trash a few times per day. The room was nice and clean at arrival, however. Staff at the pool area was nonexistent. Many of the guests were cannon-balling into the mineral pool or jacuzzi, on two evenings there were beer cans floating in the adult pool. Trash was sitting on the pool deck near the pool EVERY evening. My wife kindly informed the desk or manager of these issues, but each day brought something "new." Just seems to be a lack of oversight at the property overall.
Westin La Paloma Resort in Tucson. 1,600 attended a conference More than 50 people reported severe food poisoning. The management of the hotel do not care. stay away
I've stayed here a few times and enjoyed the stay everytime. The staff if very professional and accommodating. The food that you can order off of the bar menu is a little overpriced for what it is, but it is good! What really bothered me was the size of the bathtub in my king bed room. It's literally made for a child. No normal sized adult could fit in it comfortably. Very disappointing. The robe that was in my room was small as well. If you're going to offer a "luxury robe" offer it in a few different sizes. Just an opinion of a tall woman..
The one star rating is because of the Valets boss who seems to like to start trouble with Uber and Lyft drivers. I have witnessed him threaten an Uber driver with physical violence. I reported him to the resort staff but it seems they dont care and he still works there. I will be posting the video on line so people are aware of this.
Lovely resort. Cool pool area with water slide for families. Swim up bar closed due to covid. Food and drink can be ordered poolside during pandemic via room service and they waive the delivery fee.
Luxurious and very well thought out. Perfect setting w mountains behind. Quiet beautiful rooms, we enjoyed master suite w extra living room and bath. Great price considering how much they had. Loved the adult pool, love kids but they had their own pool and water slide. Very nice people, gorgeous landscaping and design.
The staff was very nice but the whole stay was a headache They did a free upgrade to a suite instead of the 1 room 2 beds. The update was free since I booked 2 months ago and the hotel sold out. Instead of charging my cc that the reservation was under they charged the $648.02 (cost of that room) to my cc, they declined as it was not the charging hey were holding. So I used another one and they did the same thing on that cc. When checking in we were told only charges would be for the room rate I booked - $262.20. Well after calling the front desk they apologized and said it was corrected, that was not the case They charged both amounts to the second cc! On top of that, room service brought half of our order a hour after it was ordered, we called down and they were 'rushing' the rest of our order, it shows up cold 30 minutes later. When checking out they apologized again, said they took off the room service. Come to find out after I closed out the bill they charged the 62.00 for room service 6 hrs later. I received nothing in return for my troubles, tying up over $1000.00 for 2 days on my bank account and still trying to get them to correct their charges.
We got this place on some hot wire deal, but I would be pretty disappointed if I paid $400+ to stay here. The place looks very old and dated. It just lacks energy. First they didn't have keys for us, the room smelled a bit like smoke, the screen door was broken, the screen had a hole in it, the bathroom moulding needed some upgrading, etc. They were not able to address our issue or correct it very quickly. We spoke to the manager and he was not super concerned about our concerns. We were promised a "free gift" for our troubles that didn't materialize:) Not that we are in need of a free gift, I was just curious to see what they would come up with!
On the plus side, the pool area is quite nice.
Overall, this place does not deserve the Westin name. Don't stay here unless someone else is paying for it. Find one of the other resorts nearby and stay there instead.
Beautiful resort! Wish I had more time to take in all the amenities offered during my conference last week. The staff were all friendly and very helpful! The rooms were clean and well-appointed. The beds were very comfy. Nice little extras like complimentary water bottles in the mini-fridge and a lavender essential oil roller by the bed. I loved that they offered gym clothes rental for only $5 and even gift cards if you decide not to get housekeeping. Unfortunately, the only amenity I had time to take advantage of was the pool area, which is enormous! There are several large pools, several hot tubs, a cold mineral pool, and even a big slide. I think my favorite part was the view. Nestled in the Catalina Foothills, you get some amazing views while you enjoy your meals! The only cons for me were that the restaurant prices were a bit high and that the paths to get to the rooms were a little too windy and complicated to figure out, however, they do offer a ride on the golf cart to help you find your way and you could always take advantage of the courtesy shuttle to eat at a nearby restaurant off property.
