The room was really hot. Even after we asked for them to send someone to check it out they never sent anyone. We asked for them to send a fan and they gave us a Dusty desk fan that was 6 inches wide.

This place is BEAUTIFUL. The views of the mountains are amazing, and the hotel itself is very nice. The rooms are normal hotel rooms, but they are nicely kept and most with good views. The pools are AMAZING as well as the drinks at the swim up bar, Sabinos. We did encounter a very negative experience with a bartender at Sabinos (he was extremely disrespectful and went out of his way to make ordering drinks difficult on us, as well as purposely making our drink wrong). BUT after speaking with the manager, Melinda, we were happy. We aren't the type to complain, but my wife is in the service industry so she does not appreciate, and would like to know if someone who is in the position of serving customers is being rude. Melinda and a couple of fellow servers who are worth mentioning (Christian and Jacob) more than made up for the rude bartender by taking care of us at the pool, but by also going out of her way to send a very nice fruit and cheese tray and bottle of wine to our room that evening. We would 110% recommend this resort to anyone traveling to Tucson.

Next review.... Room was wonderful... For the most part the staff was great..... Fine dining restaurant isn't so much.... very limited menu service was super slow and they were not busy bread arrived halfway through the mail salad was boring and I think they mashed potatoes were instant.... Not what I'd call fine dining

This is not even close to a resort as far as service. The resort property is beautiful! The staff is just not helpful at all. We had a check in at 4, did not get into our room till almost 5. Had to sit in the lobby and waste time while they cleaned our room. Had to ask several times on a time frame before someone finally got us in our room. Went to the pool and then there was no towels! What resort doesn't have plenty of towels? We picked this resort because we were getting away for our anniversary. We have 5 kids and grand babies so just wanted some peace and relaxation. The resort says they offer a adults only section. They have the signs but do not enforce anything when little kids in diapers come splashing you and your drinks. Went to breakfast the next morning. Was told there was no indoor seating. Okay it's a beautiful place we will sit outside. NO SHADE UMBRELLAS!! We sat in direct Arizona sun and was drenched in sweat trying to enjoy breakfast. Went back to the pool to enjoy the pool before leaving. NO TOWELS yet again!!! Walking up a hill to get to the parking lot with an ice chest. Three bell boys drove past us on their carts and not even a good morning to us, not to mention to even ask us if they could help us out carrying stuff to our vehicle. Oh and after waiting an hour to get into our room. The room key after walking forever to our room didn't work!! Just one thing after another and not one time did management or staff offer an apology or anything for the bad experiences we were having. To top it off when I left a message I never received a call back to this day. Don't stay if you want a resort feel or class of staff. Paid over 200 dollars for one night and I could have received better service at a regular non resort Marriott.

Nestled against Mt Lemmon in Tucson, the La Paloma is wonderful. Love coming to this Jewel of the Sonoran desert. I'm a desert transplant, and this is exactly the picture I had in my head of what the Southwest was supposed to look and feel like. There's a great restaurant just off site, hiking nearby, and luxurious rooms. It's a perfect desert getaway.

Beautiful resort, amazing staff. Bed left something to be desired as did the room service (helpful hint, go for a walk, it's worth it). However, loved my stay and would return in a heartbeat! Pictured, the beautiful views from my room.

Great experience aside from having to ask twice (on top of including it in my reservation) for a crib. Grounds are gorgeous and rooms comfortable. Looking forward to staying here again later this year. Awesome for families or couples.

Was just there for one day and honestly don t care to go back anytime soon. The location where this resort is located is beautiful but that s just about all the good this resort has going. Our room was pretty dirty, and carpet is completely disgusting. Our pillow cases had black stains on them and our shower had mold all over the ceiling walls and on the floor. We also ordered a couple of margaritas and sodas by the pool and I have to say what they charge is outrageous for what you get.

This is a nice place the reason for three stars is there is alot left to be desired. If you are not on the top floor dont plan on sleeping. If there is anyone above you it will sound like a heard of elephants all night long. The pool area is way overcrowded and not enough seats for everyone. The food prices on premises are ridiculous. The beds are horrible hard as a rock. And the ac in the rooms struggle to keep them cool. We stayed 4 nights in the last two weeks and probably will not be coming back. The valet parking is $20 a night I mean damn even The Talking Stick resort don't charge for that. I get that this is a resort but I stay at lots of resorts and this one by far leaves alot to be desired...

Great views if the mountain, so many pools I lost count. They have a water slide for the kids, and an Adults only pool for relaxing without interruption. The service was top notch, staff was friendly and attentive, rooms are very large, with balcony and soaking tub + shower, they don't make them this big anymore.

The food was delicious as it always is. The service was lacking when we were being seated. We asked for a high chair and were originally told that they were not sure they could get one even though we saw another child sitting in one at another table. The waiter was was very attentive.

Arrived at the property and it is truly stunning. One of the nicest resorts in Tucson and I ve stayed at all of them.

Jazmine checked us in and off we went to to our room. We unpack and get ready to go in the pool. On the way out the door, the door handle breaks off....call front desk and they say that they will send security up.

Security arrives and says that the room was supposed to be blocked off because this was a known issue.

Dawn told us that we would have to change rooms (did manage to get us a master suite which was thoughtful) and that the bell hop will be their shortly with room keys and to help us with our stuff.

We pack up our stuff; After 20 minutes of waiting outside in 105+ weather as we were on the third floor and trying to be kind. We see a bell hop on the phone in his cart. He drives up about 7minutes later and gives us our keys and says he can t take us because he is waiting on someone else.

At this point, pretty upset, but wanted to get to the pool. Go to the master suite . It is basically the same room with more square feet and an additional half bath. Not luxurious by any means but a nice gesture over all. Unpack. Go to pool.

We order another round assuming that it was going to take a while and go outside to the smoking section with our drinks. We pass by Charles, the security guard.

That upset us more, so we go down and see our new drinks sitting in the hot sun. Not under an umbrella or anything. We go up to the bar and cash out because we are so over it by this point.

We head up to the front desk because at this point we need to speak with a manger.

We go up to Jazmine and ask to speak with the manager. We move to the side because he is busy with someone else.

He meets us at the concierge desk and we explain everything that happens. He writes it down on a pad-folio. He is nice. He says either him or Heather would be calling us today or tonight.

We go out to dinner at La Encantada. We were going to try the Latin place on property but decided we didn t want to have a highly possible negative experience.

I call the front desk and get heather on the phone. I explain the situation and she sends someone down immediately (10 minutes later). I explain that she was supposed to call me in regards to these issues that we are having.

Overall, I would not recommend.

This is an incredibly beautiful resort...have been trying to contact them via e-mail to commend their front desk person Reid for his assistance getting our luggage back from the Tucson airport...he went above and beyond his job description and this Nova Scotian couple appreciates it!!

Had blood on my towels when I first came in. There s only 1 hot tub open always packed full of children. The A/C in the rooms don t get below 77. If you lose your wrist band they won t give you a new one and say you can t get in the pool. Then they won t clean any rooms and won t give you fresh towels. You re better off paying for a motel 6. Management is a joke. Do absolutely nothing to make up for it.

great place to visit, but tons of drunk people. my sister said it looked like spring break. took a long time to check in. only one person checking people in w a line of more than 20 people. no room service. no coffee. nothing in the fridge. I asked for body lotion, no employees showed up to delivery it to the room. rooms and pool were nice otherwise I'd say 2.5 stars

Anyone who has a family larger than 4 knows the struggle is real when trying to make reservations AHHH!

We have stayed at the Westin Las Palomas in Tucson MANY times. Today my husband and I called asking if they accommodate a family of 5 (it says to ask on their web site) and they "may' be able to provide a roll away bed.

The Westin Las Palomas said "no". Next, I said "we need two rooms". Upon check out, I asked to book "connecting rooms or to book two rooms that are side by side". The girl say's we can put in a request, your chances are good but we can not guarantee anything. This escalates to speaking to a manager. The manager reiterates what the girl told me.
If it was not for "needing" to be close to my children I would let it go but now I think they may have lost my business as a family vacation spot as they can not safety accommodate my family. It appears that they want us to accommodate them. I am really disappointed as I can not risk a "maybe when it comes to my children.

1st time staying at a resort. So nice to be able to go down to the bar for a drink and you dont have to leave to have a meal. They have a restaurant. They had all sorts of activities and their heated pool was super nice for the kids as it was still a little fresh out.

Worst Westin EVER. I picked this hotel for a conference stay because I am fond of the Westin brand and was unfamiliar with the host hotel for the conference. Huge mistake . It was raining when I checked in and the rooms are accessed via outdoor corridors. No offer of a bellman in the pouring rain with assurances the corridors are connected..They are absolutely not connected . After several dead end hallways in the rain, I lugged my suitcase up 7 outdoor stairs to finally find my room.

The walls are paper thin - think motel 6 thin..The first night I had a girls swim team next to me, A two hour conversation at 2 am about boyfrend troubles . No offense to the girls, they were not that loud , the walls are just that thin. The second I was literally kept awake by the individual snoring in the room above me. You will hear every step and every door shut above and beside you .

Westin fans beware - this is not your typical Westin. The kindest person in the hotel is in the gift shop -and the heavenly bed means little with all of the disruptions around you to keep you awake.

The room is spacious with nice views. But there is zero real food. The pool area has junk food, the same as the room service menu, and the other restaurants are closed. The place has signs about healthy eating all over and all they offer is junk like burgers and nachos. The breakfast buffet is cheap junk food. They offer complimentary rides to town but the bell hop was pissed off that we asked for a ride because he was expecting lots of people tonight. The walls between rooms are so thin we could hear conversations and the floors bounce when someone walks past. The air conditioning in the gym has been broken for months and it s too hot for a full cardio workout. We come to Tucson every year and have been to beautiful places. We won t return to this resort.

Spent the night here for a bridesmaid party, Great poolside service! Had issues with our air conditioning and they switched our conjoined rooms immediately so that we could enjoy the evening no hassle no sweat! Recommend to anyone! Beautiful views!

Over all very good but had a terrible checkin experience that stopped us from giving 5 stars. To hotels credit gm has already reached out and discussed issues and is addressing with staff to avoid in the future

Nice facility but service is not so great. My room looked like someone was living with me. No toilet paper, barely any tissues, and in the middle of the night the alarm rang. Way to clean up for the next guest... Because the units are so split up, the front desk offered golf carts to take you to your room but I was denied because it wasn't that far, but another guest next to my unit got a ride previously. I was tiny with a super heavy luggage withb broken wheels trekking through the desert scenery and desert heat and every golf cart along the way assured me it was just around the corner.

I'm currently staying here, so this review is based on my 1st 24 hours of stating at this resort. So far I'm extremely happy with my choice of place to stay, the staff is outstanding, my room is really spacious, I have a view of the mountains, the resort has many pools, hot tubs, water slide (if your into that type of thing) even has a rock waterfall. A lot of couples here and some with family, but overall, it's not overly crowded which is great. The hotel rooms are spaced out into individual buildings, so they offer golf cart transport for those would rather not walk, and for the rest of us, the walks are relaxing and peaceful experience. As of now, I would highly recommend The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa.

Beautiful property, well appointed rooms, great golf course. This has a nice resort feel. There's no need to leave the property as they have everything you need available onsite. Even the free Wifi works well throughout the entire property.

Spa & Concessions & onsite shops needs "MAJOR" improvement. Rooms need updating with larger shower/ bathing area and smart televisions. Housekeeping staff (or at least our housekeeper. Which we only utilized every 3rd day) did a less than satisfactory job cleaning our room....If you stay in a ground level room and happen to get a family/night hawk /heavy footed or loud voiced persons; you can hear everything which can make resting or relaxing in your room very difficult.

Excellent front desk service / concierge/ bellhops/ valet & groundskeepers. All are professional, friendly & well versed in what the hotel & surrounding areas have to offer. Overall a good value for your dollar.

My son experienced his first bee sting ever at the pool. But immediately everyone jumped in to help. Someone brought new tweezers to remove the stinger and then both my kids received 2 complimentary chocolate smoothies. I was super impressed with the service and responsiveness at the pool and all around

Stayed for the 4th & 5th of July. This was our 3rd year in a row. Made reservation 2mo in advance to celebrate our engagement. Asked for a room in a specific area and we ended up on the opposite end of the resort. Kids running around above our heads at 11pm. Construction outside our room. For over $200 a night that is unacceptable. Every time we tried to do something or go somewhere it was closed. Cafe, pool slide, swim up bar... all closed. So frustrating. They close the pool bar at 6pm just as the weather is cooling off. Had to have our dinner delivered. Front desk just pacified us. Manager waived the resort fee upon checkout, but we still won't come back. Next year we'll try Ventana Canyon or Starr Pass. Very disappointed...

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. After booking a room for two adults and two 12 year old boys. We even requested a portable bed for our boys do not sleep well with each other. What we got was a king size bed. No pullout sofa and not even a roll in bed. They totally did not honor our reservations. Our boys had to sleep on the floor. We even tried to get extra blankets but they said they had none. No one ever even said they were sorry about messing up the reservation. The manager here is totally incompetent and you would be wise to book elsewhere.

Simply beautiful. Buildings are placed so that the natural terrain isn't disturbed which adds to the breathtaking views. Only complaint is that it wasn't easy to get the luggage from the parking to your room. They did have some carts available to transport your luggage, but they weren't jumping to help you out, we had to drag our bags a good distance to the room. Otherwise most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. They do have restaurants on site as well as a free shuttle to some other local venues.

There is so much that is good about this property! Number one is the staff that is really quite friendly & accommodating. The views are also amazing at this property! Love that they offer a free shuttle to La Encantada. My only complaint is that the rooms are in desperate need of a major remodel.

Very kind staff with excellent attention to detail and service. As a status member, I was treated exceptionally well with a generous suite upgrade and free breakfast. The pools are excellent and the waterslide a nice touch for kids. I didn't golf but the grounds look excellent. Food prices a bit high in restaurant but that would be my sole complaint. I highly recommend staying here, especially with family.

I'm sitting in the bar. The trash can is overflowing. I called the front of to let them know, must be their job, still overflowing. Bartender fills staw holder . Pats the staws with his bare hand. What germs did he just pass on.
It looks like we have a crew of not my job.
Thats it
