Great for local stay-cations! Cant beat their summer rates. Fun pools and slide. Nice rooms, grounds, and you can count on the staff for anything. Plus you're very near town if you want to shop or hit other restaurants

Stayed here for 4 days. Staff was excellent. Rooms were very clean and comfy. Pool was awesome. Location great. Breakfast buffet was the best I ever had. I would go back in a minute.

The views are amazing! The staff is attentive and friendly. We were there for a conference and so glad we did. Rooms are well appointed, food is great. A little pricey, but well worth the cost.

Awesome, Awesome place rooms are spacious the pools are well maintained a little bit of everything for everyone. The views of the mountains and the pools are beautiful. Would recommend for a quick getaway a normal life.

The room was great, but the pool was crowded and it took nearly an hour for our food and drink order to arrive. The place was to busy to be enjoyable. Was looking for a relaxing "staycation" in Tucson, but this place wasn't it. Would have probably preferred the Arizona Inn or Hacienda Del Sol.

Im staying for the HOSA conference and the hotel as been very accomating for huge mass of guests and our rooms are very nice and clean. There was a moth in the room when we arrived but other than that the grounds have been amazing.

The property is beautiful.. The room Service for cleaning your room was terrible. I got bed bug bites all over my body and they itch something terrible.. i called the manager on this manner and he just said "well thank you for letting us know"..Didn't offer up any credit or apology.:( I was planning on staying here in Dec but now I have changed my mind. Never have I been bitten by mites, or Chigger Bites. I hope no one else has to either, they just keep multiplying and they are keeping me from working. So Sad.:(. I am thinking of sending them my Doctor bill. I am not happy.

This is a beautiful resort property. I've walked through their lobby and bar. It looks and feels very professional and inviting. They have a beautiful pool and fountains as well. It's in a nice area on a hill that has great views of Tucson and the surrounding area.

It's a great place for a mini stay vacation, most of the staff are very friendly. Pools are great and the kids enjoyed the slide. Food is over priced for what it is, and they do charge multiple resort fees. We ordered chicken fingers by the pool and there was a resort fee along with a gratuity charge.

We called just hours before we arrived and they accommodated us with a wonderful room overlooking the golf course.
We were set to leave the next morning and my daughter woke up with a fever. The staff was able to book us another night at the same rate. Even though the pool renovations are going on, we were still very happy with the courtesy of the staff.

The Westin la Paloma's has beautiful grounds, pools and facilities, as well as the wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. From beginning our journey. I can't remember his name but whoever helped us to our room was great and allowed me to focus on my daughter while he brought in our bags. We enjoyed walking the grounds each day and luckily stumbled across the courtside deli for breakfast. The cooks/serves at the grill was so warm and made us feel right at home and very taken care of. They also remember us and our daughter day to day! We were visiting for a wedding, and if/ when we return I can't wait to stay at the Westin again. The pool area is gorgeous and great for children but there is also an adult pool too!, Can't wait to return to for the views, food and atmosphere!

Overall this is a beautiful property with good amenities and I enjoyed my stay very much. If you are booking with debit card, they want to put a hold for $100 a day at check in time. I didn't have $400 extra in my account as I knew I wouldn't spend that much and I was getting paid during my stay. I was able to get it worked out, but it was embarrassing and frustrating as my bank account was basically cleaned out the first day and I had no money until I got my paycheck direct deposited. An email with the specific amount I needed to check-in would have been helpful. I knew they would put a hold for incidentals, but I didn't budget an extra $400. The front desk manager condescendingly told me that all hotels and resorts do this, but as seasoned traveler, this is not always the case. I will go over pros and cons.
Pros:
1.Views- The Catalina Mountains are right there. Absolutely gorgeous. My room had a balcony with a great. I believe all rooms have a patio or balcony.
2. Food- I loved everything I ate. I had lunch and dinner in AZUL and loved it and the carne asada tacos at the Sabine Pool Bar and Grill were AMAZING.
3. Pools- the pools were warm, clean and beautiful. I appreciated the adult only pool and hot tub. Many places do not understand the need to have a separate one for adults.
4. Toiletries- I liked the shampoo/conditioner set in the room as well as the lavender balm. I bought some to take home.
5. Spa- Zias at the Spa gave me an amazing massage and I would recommend booking one during your stay.
Cons:
1. When you check in after dark it can be hard to find your building. The front desk told me to go out certain doors and follow the path. I carried 4 bags 1/4 mile before I found it. Upon daylight, I realized I walked WAY father than I had to. It would have been nice to get better directions and even a gold cart or someone to help me carry my stuff. There were rooms way farther away than mine and it is unsafe and inconvenient to walk that far in the dark while juggling bags. There are snakes, lizards, and spiders on the paths. Overall, my experience with the night time staff was not that great. Kinda snotty and not extremely helpful.
2. The room furnishings are a little dated. While the bed and pillows were comfy, they were nothing special and the sheets seemed kinda rough.
3. The pool bar and slide all close before 6 pm. If you are there for a conference, you don't really get to enjoy these features.
5. While I did put my no linens change card on the door, I did not realize mean that meant no housekeeping as well. It would have been nice to get more toiletries and have my trash taken out during my 4 day stay. It also said you got some kid of reward for doing that but I did not.

The room looked fine but when anyone used the shower or flushed the toilet or water went down the sink drain you could smell raw sewage also Azuls restraint was terrible steak was very tuff what they called scallops weren't they were shark and everything was way over priced

Super nice resort. From the bell boys eager to help you unload your car to the reception at the front desk, to the room and pools, thus place is all class. Had a great time even in 115 degree weather. The room was nicely decorated and appointed. Would definitely stay here again. The kids loved the twisty water slide and the swim up bar is pricey, but the service was good.

I am a huge fan of the westin chain to begin with, I always try to stay with westin in my travels. It just always feel like home, always fresh and clean, best quality beds, healthy dining options, wonderful staff. This property definitely did not disappoint and took it all even further.

I had just spent 5 days touring arizona and staying in cabins in the woods as I hiked my way around the state. Which I sincerely love. But checking into the westin was such a wonderful awakening back into society lol. Smiling energetic professional kind staff. I was a couple of hours early so the kind lady offered me a temporary key so I could go relax by the pool. I had just hiked for 5 hours in the desert heat with no shade, I cannot express how massive this gesture was, thank you Westin! I know a lot of stuffy hotels would not allow this. The adults only pool was a dream, just quiet bliss with unbelievable mountain scenery. The service by the pool was also lovely.

The room! Right up to westin standards and even better with the Suite upgrade. Large, clean, spacious. That bed I love the most in my travels. Massive clean shower. Complimentary water (if you aren't already, sign up to be a member, the perks are constant and so nice). Wifi that actually works as it's supposed to.

After my hike and relaxing by the pool I went into town for a few hours. Returned back to this beautiful resort where I read my book in their salt water therapy pool under the stars with mountains in the background. Just a dream. Wish I had more than one night here!

*Beautiful view, watching the monsoons come in and the moon rise over the mountains was unexpected and breathtaking
*Loved the lap pool which was never over-crowded and had a clothing spinner

*Excellent customer service in all areas
*Nice golf course
*Beautiful rooms
*Friendly, clean spa #TheRedDoor

The only reason I couldn't give a 5 star, which I really wanted to, was the tennis area. I understand the construction, that wasn't the issue, but only one court had a practice board which was all the way down at 10.
I wasn't thrilled about the $25 per hour charge when ALL courts were completely empty each day we went down, the courts weren't in fabulous shape and court 10's water machine was empty so we had to walk to another court for water. There was nothing that constituted the $25 fee except my desperation to practice.

If you are a swimmer, golfer, food enthusiast, love to work out or just relax, this is a wonderful vacation spot!

This was the home of Up With People International Alumni Association reunions for a number of years. My wife and I have been here 3 times in the last 15 years. It is a great resort and we have enjoyed our visits there.

The stay was nice however, most of the staff was not very helpful. The pool's swim up bar closes at 5 pm but the pool is open till 11 pm it was a hassel having to go inside for a drinks or food. Would definitely rate this higher if the staff and service was better.

Wonderful experience! I had heard many colleagues talk about taking annual trips to the Westin La Paloma, and now I know why! The restaurants on site are top notch, the renovation is gorgeous, and the location in Tucson is central to everything. We will be back!

Service was pretty good for the most part. We had some one check with us to make sure everything was good with the room pool side service was great. The lady in the Starbucks inside the lobby was very rude and obviously didn't care for he job. Other than that trip went well

The Westin has never failed to disappoint, the La Paloma location is no exception. When we arrived they did not have a clean room available, but they made it right by waiving our resort fees and buying us dinner while we waited. We only waited just long enough to get our table before we received the call that our room was ready. The property is very well kept and quite beautiful, it was the perfect place to stay for our weekend in Tucson. Thank you Westin staff for being so awesome and friendly, even after a day of dealing with unhappy customers with the room issues.

Stayed on Wednesday, September 3rd. Specifically called to ask if slide was open at this time. They said yes. I would not have booked the room otherwise. Got there and they said slide was down but will be running later that evening. Never got running but they guaranteed us it would be running in morning. Went first thing in morning and it was not running. Did not get to use the slide at all during our stay and that was the main reason we choose this place. The beds were very small and there was blood all over the sheets. And now I just looked at my credit card statement and I am being charged $682.70 total. I was charged $165.84 on Sep 2nd, $100 on September 2nd, $100 on September 3rd, $200 on September 4th and $116.86 on September 4th. It makes no sense and of course nobody is there over this Holiday weekend that can help straighten it out. Extremely disappointed with out stay,.

Too much walking. Had knee replacement surgery not long ago. Booking said that the room was handicapped accessible. Unfortunately, it was down a flight of stairs and the elevator was in the next building!

This is one of my favorite hotels in Arizona. They are in a really beautiful area, just North of Tucson. The pool is world class and includes a waterslide, swim up bar and lots of hot tubs. Also have a really nice spa and are very close to awesome hiking in Sabino Canyon. Highly recommended!

Contigo was amazing so was the landscape.

I spoke with the manager, wanted to be fair and change my experience there, thank you Barbara.

OK, the best thing about this resort is definitely the pool area and the grounds itself, and if you play golf I hear the golf course is great. It has a lot of cacti and a spectacular view. LINDSAY, she works at the outside grill by the pool. She is wonderful. Her memory was impeccable.
Robert the banquet manager at the country was great.

Rosemary was wonderful and Francisca and Mariam who tidied up our room was as sweet as a pea....
Barbara assisted my check in. Heather and Lily assisted me in my check out.
Upon checking in, I can't even say that I was greated, or acknowledge for being the status that I am with this resort chain. Carli wouldn't except my husband's Marriott card because it said his name on it and not mine although we have the same number and share the same rewards number. She asked me for my drivers license to identify that it was me that had reserved the room, really!
I had to go outside to grab my husband, he came in to show Carli that he was there with me in order for her to give me my room. I have never gone through this before and I have never been treated so poorly by any Marriott staff. You all should offer her a personal, Personality Class. To me she was no more than a robot that was for filling her time.

The room was Extremely outdated. Carpet was frayed in coming up in some areas, dirt on the ceiling, chips in the furniture, shower was old and look disgusting, through her handprints on the wooden door, in these windows really need to be cleaned. No stir stick for coffee, no dirty cloth bag and no breakfast.

I do have to say besides the grounds, my husband said that the golf course was impeccable and beautiful.

We had date night at the Contigo Latin Kitchen. It was Beyond phenomenal and exquisite. You could look at my review on that place because it definitely is a five star.

For the money or points that you pay, I didn't feel like it was worth it! I am really not sure if I will come back to stay. I would come back just to eat at that restaurant, wow! The view was Incredible, we sat out on the lower deck and froze our butts off but the food and service was worth every minute!

Hotel room, hotel outdated, they do have plans for a much needed renovation.

After that, I WOULD go back.

Above average rooms. Beautiful pool areas. Only reason not 5 star is slow housekeeping service and that staff doesn't consistently monitor "adult only" pool areas to keep kids out. Still best place in Catalina Foothills.

I absolutely loved this place. We got in from Phoenix, after dinner with friends, pretty late. As soon as we arrived we were told to check-in (place is enormous, even more so at night) and after we did the valet offered to drive us to our room from the parking lot in a golf cart. We had no idea where we were going so this was a big deal for us. The room was very nice, remodeled with a balcony and located in front of the pool. There were a lot of people in the pool the next day with a disc jockey and couldn't even hear them from the room. Enjoyed the Azul restaurant for breakfast very much-so relaxing to sit there and watch the scenery. The Poppy kitchen was excellent for dinner-I highly recommend it. We are going back this summer we loved it so much. It was a nice romantic place to get away and enjoy the weekend.
