Fabulous spa day with a great vegan afternoon tea. Felt very pampered and will definitely be back for more.

I loved the place, I did not know it in detail because I went to a business event, but it's beautiful

Attended a work event in one of the main rooms, the room was very stuffy and chairs old and out dated. Food was provided which seemed to be bought in and was average quality at best. Drinks were provided but no clear information was provided the entire event seemed to lack organisation.

Stayed here for a friend's wedding. Room was lovely with a massive bed. Breakfast was excellent in the morning and we also used the onsite spa facilities which were great too. Would stay again.

Great place. Annoying that my check in was very late due to room being unavailable. Comped free tea or coffee. No comparison too having room ready really

Lovely hotel, great rooms, lovely food. Not tried the golf or leisure facilities but they look great too! Recommended.

Lovely venue with great parking, views and food. The buffet was amazing. However, each time I've gone to the Vale over the last year or so, customer service has let them down every time. You don't get the same experience from staff here as you do in other nearby hotels, which is a shame.

The hotel was beautiful, our room was fantastic , Spa was relaxing. Food was a BIG disappointment, had room service as the restaurant wasn t open before we were going out. The worst bland curry I ve ever eaten!!!! It was completely tasteless, the naan bread was soggy and a dish of some kind of dip on the plate.

My daughter in law and I had a great spa day this week. We both enjoyed the treatments, swimming, jacuzzi, relaxing in the various rooms plus a tasty lunch. Staff were professional and friendly. Would recommend the Vale Resort to friends. Thank you.

Went here for afternoon tea..there were ants around my chair and because the tablecloth touched the floor..one was walking up tablecloth..did tell waitress and she moved us..this is second time I've been here for afternoon tea.. first time well empress with food choice on plate..this time wasn't that fussed on food but that was down to my food choice

Used the spa many times which is best around. But had two recent visits where I ate at the hotel and food was really lacking. Most recent was sunday roast. I was sceptical because the restaurant was almost empty and being higher end of pricing I had high expectations. Unfortunately the yorkshire puddings while looked great were cold (obviously previously made) and would be fine by being warmed up with the gravy if it wasnt like dish water. The Swede was stringy, the cauli cheese was like hot lava and oil, the "roasted" single carrot and single parsnip were both black on the bottom 1/3. While biting into the broccoli was like drinking boiling hot water from a kettle. As much as the environment and presentation and service was good, its pointless if the actual meal your paying for doesnt have the same attention

Over rated and over priced, not the standard it was a few years ago.

We had our family Christmas get together at the vale & it was perfect food drink service excellent

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great food. Awesome facilities include. swimming pool, spa, gym & Golf Course.

Played the National some long holes for my length of shot. But would play there again anytime. Really great experience.

A wonderful stay at the Vale resort, the bed was HUGE sadly I couldnt fit it in my car or it would have come home with me! The bathroom was also of a high standard with seperate shower and bath.

We booked into the Vale Grill for an evening meal and I would highly reccomend it, great fresh produce with a good unrushed service.

Provided some feedback after staying there over Christmas and they have not bothered to follow up. Disappointing stay.

Great Christmas decorations and meal, even if the service was slow. It was also a shame about the two bouncers who appeared looking as if they wanted a fight, they weren't needed it wasn't that sort of do

Lakeside course is cramped, the National course is very good

Excellent venue for all occassions. Premium spa facilities and a great new gum. Very busy with a good crowd. Tried exercise HIT class which was great. Rooms are great and spacious. Always a famous face walking around. Rugby legends and football wannabes!

Polite and professional staff, well looked after place and food was great. Bit big and corporate for me, not really a relax holiday type of hotel, but that's just my preference.

Staff have attitude and food especially breakfast let them down

Went to the Vale resort for a round of golf on the national course. Had a wonderful day and the course is lovely. Great condition and a good test. Would definitely go again.

Besy gym I have been to. Very accommodating and plenty of facilities available. Would recommend to a friend

Christmas Day bit mixed. Great staff, ok food but the huge room felt a bit too impersonal.

A fantastic stay at a fantastic hotel can't ask for anymore.

Guests are arriving and lights have not been switched in hall or the dinner room.

I been on spa days here now 3 years in a row. Its brill friendly staff. Lovely relaxing messages. And use of jacuxxi sauna etc .its perfect

The Lakes & National golf courses in great condition.

This hotel is in a lovely setting, I could have stayed all day. We had a really nice buffet lunch and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

I played the national course is a great all round coarse one thing I must say the buggies are great with a GPS system they've got

Brilliant Hotel, so glad we came and we ended up meeting the Wales Rugby team...

Not enough parent and child parking places. Also, the few that are there are often used by selfish people who can't be bothered to walk from the main car park. Saw 2 cars doing that today. Neither had a child in the car. Staff from the Vale should police it more often.

Overall very good, but the pastry chef needs to learn his trade again. Very poor standard. Supervisor gave us complimentary coffee but still charged for the puddings.

Lovely place to stay or visit. Very welcoming staff, lovely room's, nice restaurant. A great place to spoil yourself or someone special.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All the staff were very helpfull even down to the cleaning staff, greeting you . The food was delicious and well priced. Will definately return. Thankyou

Checking in and put was speedy and efficient. Room was spotless, food great, spa enjoyable and the pool area clean and tidy. Cleaning staff lovely. It was a bonus meeting some of the Welsh rugby players who were staying there while training.

I had a business meeting in that hotel with a supplier who came from Germany. We have been to the restaurant for a dinner but suddenly the staff stopped us and told us that since we have no reservation we have to wait for around 30 min.
With all the honesty, I believe that the member of staff was jocking because the restaurant was almost empty.
Anyhow, we were tired to go in Cardiff and we decided to wait for 30 min.
We bought two beers from the bar which is next to the restaurant. No more than 3 minutes later, a member of staff told us that we can have a seat to the restaurant!
I don't want to believe that this well reputed hotel stopped us from the dinning room in order to buy a few drinks first...
Really this is something that I don't want to believe. At any case, this is what happened on Monday 11.12.2017 at approx. 19.20hrs...

We stayed at the vale resort for our Wedding Anniversary a week before Christmas. While we were there we had a couple's massage in the spa and a lovely meal in the restaurant. All of the staff were amazing and we had a fantastic experience. We will definitely be visiting again.

My friend and I go here at least 3 times a year for a stay over and spa.
The girls are great. The welcome is pleasant and in my personal opinion they cant do enough for you.

Went there for seminar. Great facilities. Just the speaker did not tell us about the fire alarm test nor until it happened where the fire exits were
