The Pink door is located just blocks from Pike Place Market on Post Alley. To the surprise of patrons, the entrance door off post alley is oddly painted white rather than pink. Upon entering, the diner descends a full story down a long staircase to the reception. The dining room is a visually stunning masterpiece with lighting that highlights the pinkish hue of the concrete block walls. An empty swing hangs from the ceiling hinting at the weekly aerial acrobatic performances and cabaret that The Pink Door is famous for. The dining room is U shaped so the entry side of the restaurant has no live show view and muffled acoustics from the stage side. Diners should ask to be seated stage side if they expect to enjoy the frequent live music. Thursdays, The Pink Door hosts jazz trio Bric A Brac. The trio is one of the numerous bands fronted by Greg Ruby, one of Seattle s preeminent jazz guitarists. Unfortunately, Greg Ruby was absent from the show on 3/26/15. An encounter with the subbing guitarist and bass player in the John revealed that accordion extraordinaire Maggie Kim was the bandleader for the evening and the accompanying musicians provided an impromptu band name, The Maggie Kim Trio . Whether Bric A Brac or the Maggie Kim Trio, the band was extraordinary and lively. The European string jazz filled the restaurant with excitement and life. The recognizable La Vie En Rose was exceptional and created the perfect background ambiance.
Service at The Pink Door is near flawless. Courteous greetings and instant acknowledgement from the hostess staff transitioned to instant service from the busser to fill our water glasses. The menu was a bit overwhelming for a first time diner. Dinner entrees range from $15 to $40 and are generally served a la carte. The highly reviewed Lasagna Pink Door is $18 and a great choice for those new to the restaurant. Cocktails range from $8-$12. The Pink Madonna much like the entrance door was peculiarly not pink, but was plenty satisfying along with the limoncello and Moscow Mule. An order of Sauteed Calamari antipasti was served in a spinach, tomato, garlic, and wine sauce that was mouth wateringly splendid.
The main entrees of Linguini Alle Vongole and Lasagna Pink Door arrived in a timely manner. The Linguini was served in a slightly over salted white wine sauce with pancetta, garlic, and pepperoncini. A healthy serving of baby clams in the shell were heaped over the noodles which makes the $18 meal price a fair deal. The Linguini was good, but not fantastic. Al dente is the worst way to cook noodles and it s unfortunate that restaurants do not realize this. Fully cooked is the way to go. The linguini noodles were far from firm, just chewy and somewhat unpleasant. While the linguini was good enough, the lasagna was another story entirely. It is out of this world delicious! The fresh spinach is layered in a rich, creamy besciamella sauce with pesto and is covered in a flavorful marinara. Each bite of the lasagna is an indescribable experience of pure delightful pleasure. The meal is best enjoyed slowly with closed eyes while taking long deep breaths. The chocolate boobie cake finale sends the senses into overdrive with its multilayered chocolate exterior and mousse interior served aside a splash of caramel and chocolate syrup. The combined effect of the lasagna and cake is nothing short of spectacular.
Come to The Pink Door for an amazing evening of entertainment, succulent menu selections, and wonderful ambiance.

I've said it once, I'll say it again- Want great service in Seattle? Pink Door. Want great entertainment while you eat? Pink Door. Reasonable priced food with an upscale feel? Pink Door. What I didn't know is they had a whole section on the other side of the building. They're so much bigger than they look. I'm not kidding about the service, they are always so accommodating. I brought in some first timers to Seattle and absolutely had to take them here. I'm glad I did, they were treated to great food and even better service. I'd recommend any one of their seafood dishes.

Fantastic patio with great views of the harbor. The wait staff was all fantastic (although the girl at the door could've smiled more). Our server Raymond was very classy as well as entertaining. Drinks were great (Lagone...mmm!) and food was incredible! Didn't have room for dessert!

Was busy on a Monday night. The trapeze show was a nice bonus. Very cute inside with lots of interesting decorations. Food was surprisingly very good - really recommend the lasagne and linguine alle vongole. Reasonably priced especially for the location. Watermelon margarita was good but couldn t really taste the watermelon. Staff was a hit or a miss - our waitress and a couple others on the floor were nice but others weren t especially the bartenders - not rude, just don t really care. Will def come back.

The only crab dish on the menu was the Cesar Salad with Dungeness Crab ($22). The salad was beautiful and loaded with fresh crab piled on top. It was so simple and delicious (not to mention filling). I loved that the Romain wasn't overdressed and that the crab was left alone so you could enjoy its natural sweetness. The service was expedient and polite. And the decor was absolutely beautiful. Definitely a great date spot. The next time I visit I'll definitely be back here to try their other dishes. The mushroom risotto looked and smelled amazing when it passed my table.

First we ordered the arugula and beet salad. It was perfect combo of flavors with the gorgonzola cheese and toasted walnuts!!! Then we had THE Lasagna (it was recommended in the guide book). It's a fresh spinach pasta with the best marinara and besciamella sauces. Additionally, we also ordered the Fettuccine Al Limone per the recommendation of the waiter. I like lemon flavored things but I never thought of adding it to a cream sauce and pasta so I was optimistically suspicious. I'm so glad I listened! It was toothsome!!!
For vegetarians, there is one other pasta main, the Fresh Tagliarini, that you can order without the ham. There are several salads and side dishes. The meal came with bread and olive oil. My husband plowed through the small basket and they refilled it twice.
For parents, we say a family with a toddler come in. They brought out a high chair for them.
We didn't have reservations and it was busy. But thankfully we were seated promptly at 6:30 on a Wednesday evening. After us we saw people who had to wait for a table.
The food was filling and so delicious! The service was good as well. We are so glad we went!!!

Adore this place. Food is absolutely fantastic (very specifically the pasta), albeit very expensive. The entertainment is great and worth going for. The shows are both sexy and funny. Very fancy-date-night vibe here, would not recommend for a family outing, though there are often groups doing the shows to bachelorette parties at times. You should make reservations, and they can often book up several weeks in advance. They do allow walk-ins for shows (though you should call ahead to confirm!), but those also fill up so make sure to get in line early and accept the possibility that you may still not get to go.

The BEST Italian food/ FOOD I have ever tasted in my life! We waited and it was worth it. I had the gnocchi and my boyfriend has the pink door lasagna and both were top notch!! Didn t take a pic of the dishes because they went down so fast. Lol! If you love Italian food and want something absolutely perfect, come here. Ambiance, service, and cuisine all were a 10!

Only reason this is a 4 star review is because this place didn t quite live up to the hype. Prices were incredibly fair so that was a big win for them, but I thought I would have the best food in the whole Seattle area here. And don t get me wrong it was great food, but it wasn t amazing.... I got the waiters choice of the snake river pork chop. It had an amazing sauce but the raisins and pine nuts were not to die for. My wife got the meatballs and pasta and they were great but not incredible. All in all a really good experience but Im not itching to get back anytime soon.

I've been wanting to go here for quite awhile. Came here on a Sunday evening with some girl friends for Seattle Restaurant week. It took me awhile to find the elusive "pink door" but you just have to keep walking down Post Alley and you'll eventually find it.
We came right when they opened for dinner service and got seated. It's a cute, quaint, romantic place. We were sitting right under the swing, but sadly we weren't able to see any acrobatic performances since it didn't start until 6:30 pm and we had left by then.
I ordered the bruschetta, lasagne pink door, and the Perugina chocolate cake. The Lasagne Pink Door is delicious, as everyone else has said. We were also given bread with oil to share with our group. The food was all delicious and I was also able to taste my girlfriend's entrees-roasted chicken thighs and cioppino seafood pasta. Service was good. I would definitely love to come back with my girlfriends on Saturday night to see the cabaret/burlesque show!

Very hidden since there's no sign out front, you have to know what you're looking for - a literal Pink Door. Excellent sea food and wine selection, waiter was very knowledgeable, wonderful view over the ocean. Seems like a place Dita von Teese would grab dinner, very burlesque/pin up type vibes.

The atmosphere and staff were amazing, I absolutely loved that. The dish I ordered I wasn't real impressed with which was kind of a disappointment especially since everyone I spoke to praised them for their food. So maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. The drinks were also on point. Damn good greyhound. Definitely make reservations in advance if you want to catch the show.

Great food, and great atmosphere. There is no sign, but Google maps makes it easy to find. The place is much large than expected and had limited water views. Awesome Seattle find.

I was the noob that saw the pink door, didn't know if it was a real entrance...and walked downstairs to get inside. Then, I walked across the entire restaurant to find the hostess table, just to find out that if I had opened the pink door, I would have found my way in. Oops! I love the decor of the restaurant. It's pretty and romantic and just so much fun. Completely different than most of the other eateries near the market so I really enjoyed it. We came here for SRW (yes, this post is a little late) and ordered the Bruschetta del autumno and sauteed calamari to start.
Really awesome way to start off the meal. The bruschetta was earthy and savory and the calamari was cooked really delicately so that there was no chewiness to the squid; both were really well-seasoned and I thought the calamari was quite a generous portion. For dinner, we ordered the pistachio crusted rockfish and cioppino. Again, both of them were hits and so much food! I couldn't even finish. We rounded off the meal with the shards of love (deconstructed cheesecake-type) and chocolate torte. I'd have to say I preferred the shards of love but enjoyed them both. The service was good and we had a great time at the restaurant. I'll definitely be going back.

I work for a Concierge service that books reservations on behalf of American Express clientele. The meathead of a "manager", Chris, has a thing or three to learn about customer relations. Seriously, I ask you if there's anyway we can rearrange some things to accommodate a party of TWO who were actually looking forward to dining with you, and you're going to come back with "Pssh, is AMEX going to cut our rates?". Nah, bro, just your referrals from here on.

We had lunch at the pink door on a beautiful summer. The food at the restaurant tastes fantastic. The risotto and the mussel is yummy. The service is excellent. Our server Was kind and friendly. A great restaurant near the market in downtown Seattle. I loved the food here. It was fresh and delicious. I wanted to snap a photo if my food, but unfortunately the dish came out and I forgot about all my previous plans. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The fish was just right. I have not been for the cabaret. It can be hard to get a reservation so make plans early if this is on your list of places to check out.

The Italian fare and pasta is filling but the Ribeye was amazing. If you go on a Friday there's usually a cabaret and burlesque show indoors that you can witness for free if you get seated on the deck. Definitely a sight. Great back deck with a view of the sound on a great day.

We loved this place. The food me and my wife has was exceptional (ah, the vongole!) and the slightly burlesque atmosphere is equally as good. There was a real buzz about the place accentuated by the gypsy jazz band performing there.

Called in advance and was told to come on over. Got there and was told there was an hour and half wait. Sorry arrogant hostess says... Can t help you.... but we called .... too bad. Well we paid an Uber to get there and now there is no bar service , no accommodation and quite honestly no friendly vibe. Don t trust the local call line. Best perhaps to use Open Table ... maybe the will honor that. Or maybe don t bother going there.

If we were just talking about the quality of the food, this place would be 5 stars but every time I come here with friends (normally for a celebration of some sort) our servers have sucked balls on every level. The management does their best to accommodate the bad service but it's gotten to a point where I don't even want to come back. So once again, great food, horrible service. You have to pick what you want to deal with.

Amazing coho salmon!! The special that night. Could use some better beer but obviously they're wine list is extensive. I just don't know squat about wine. Ambience was nice. Servers have loads of character without being pretentious. Would love to go back next visit to Seattle.

Outstanding.
I had the squid ink pasta and my wife had the kale salad and a cheese board. Food and service was excellent. Relaxed yet refined ambience. They had a string trio playing giving it a cool vibe. We haven't seen the burlesque show and did not see any trapeze acts but very happy we found this place!

The wine selection from the bartender was outstanding and the cheese plate was amazing, but the bartender disappeared and got a bit surly . Skip the bruschetta, it's hard to eat and a bit bland (a balsamic reduction perhaps?). The place is crazy busy for a lot of good reasons. I just wish the bartender was nicer and made the experience that mu ch better
