Came here when I visited Sacramento for the weeken...
Came here when I visited Sacramento for the weekend. IT was good, but had to wait like 45 minutes. Parking is limited too.

Yikes!!! Go here if you want expensive awful food and even worse customer service and I quote "we don't do anything for unsatisfied customers...Sorry" won't be coming here ever again!!
Food is pretty good. But there is always a wait at lunch and it is kinda pricey. Try the Caribbean jerk chicken.
Food is always delicious and our waitress was friendly and attentive. Nice atmosphere really enjoyed it!
Amazing ambiance and decor. We sat outside in the garden and loved it. Food was good but not great. Very large portions. The wait staff was well trained but overwhelmed on a Sunday afternoon. I'd recommend the Oaxacan Mole and blood orange mimosa.
Beautiful garden seating! Plenty of menu options for picky or diet-restricted folks. Delicious food - we ve never had anything subpar.
Food was pretty great. Ambiance was pretty epic. If you sit outside, don t forget bug repellent lotion.
Excellent food relaxing out door eating area. Loads of intresting food. The chilli relleno was the best I have ever eaten.
The waitress was rude and never smiled. The burger was just ok. My first time, life long Sacramentan.... too bad. Great atmosphere, but I like to be happy while enjoying a cocktail and lunch... the service needs improvement.
Disappointing. Food poorly cooked and cold. Dessert was stale. Sad, it was a favorite.
Great food. Delicios and different. The patio is beautiful and the inside is eclectic. One of our favorite breakfast spots.
Came for breakfast ordered the steak and eggs. Everything was perfect, great food, great service, great atmosphere.
Found this on Trip Advisor. Advertised gluten free, but they do not serve gluten free bread.
I had a long wait, think twice before going there on a Saturday. The hostess and host who take down your name for reservations, play favorites with the customers. I saw some people leave after waiting over 25 minutes. They were ignored. I felt sorry for them. It was not fair.
The waiter who served me was very nice. Wish I could say the same about the hostess and host. They were rude.
It is an amazing place for breakast. Could use a litte better grind but all in all a place not to miss if you're in the area.
It's a treasure of a place. Sometimes you have to wait patiently outside for your turn to be seated, but the marvelous food, lovely service, and atmosphere will quickly enchant you. It's one of my favorite spots in Sacramento.
Wonderful atmosphere and efficient service. The French toast was moist and full of enough flavor leaving no need for syrup.
Very very interesting ambiance! I love places like this where there is a million things to look at as you wait and as you eat. Food was good, wine was good, location is a bit strange but then again maybe we just parked in a strange location. Overall a great place to visit.
Excellent food and service. They are getting a little crowded and expensive however. They nickle and dime small things alao, like 50 cents extra for a Cherry Coke versus a regular Coke. Parking can sometimes be challenging also.
Friendly waiter although not attentive. (had to request coffee refill). Food as described in menu. Good free parking. Loud atmosphere, crowded, long wait to be seated, and pricey but get lots of volume of food. Best to split a plate. Usually a wait. Two single room bathrooms for entire restaurant. Most special was the delicious Mexican hot chocolate with a scoop of cinnamon whipped cream. Worth the $4.50 price.
Solid. Always going to have something good. Is it mind blowing? No, not usually. But really good.
Good cocktails. Fun atmosphere. Good staff.
Hard for kids that don't like to sit still.
Bit of a wait. Great vibe. Better than good food. Enjoyed the posole.
Awesome unique breakfast, get the French toast, just do it!
Came from Kansas City and heard this was a good spot. The Famous French toast was amazing!! Our waiter John was very attentive and made the experience that much better. Had a 30 min wait but I see why. It was worth it and the texting system was great!! Will definitely be back to try more items on the menu.
Delicious tuna melt....Mac and cheese needed seasoning...very loud at lunch time...but a delightful ambiance...
A long-standing Sacramento favorite - and don't get me wrong, the french toast is so good it's stupid and the garden seating is exquisite. But the fusion menu doesn't land for me and there's always a line two hours long for brunch.
So many great restaurants have opened in Sacramento in the past 5 years and there are so many more brunch options - why waste your time on something that's only marginally better (if better at all)?
Service was VERY slow. Dont order monte cristo sandwich... VERY soggy!. Fish n chips had no flavoring.
Long wait for Sunday brunch but well worth it. Especially dessert!
Had the boraccho burger, wasn't cooked medium at all and was extremely messy.
Having lunch @ Tower Cafe with my wife and enjoying the salmon, and fish and chips. I just finished my French toast which is my favorite. Tower Cafe is one of my to go to restaurants and it certainly gets me all the time.
Eclectic design and delicious food. A bit of a wait to get seated though, especially for breakfast.
I would live in this restaurant if I could. My only issue is that they won't let you do separate checks. This becomes problematic when you like to enjoy this place with friends, but once you calculate it they let you pay on multiple cards... But there's a limit to how many cards they let you use. The more I think on it the more it bothers me, but the food and atmosphere are so amazing I don't get deterred from going with friends in the slightest.
We visit every time we drive through Sacramento on our way to Tahoe!
Always a good meal. Much to choose from and a terrific patio!!
Great environment, tasty unique food. Suffers from its popularity as the wait is long, the servers stressed (but friendly), and the dining room stuffed with a crowd. I had the pulled pork cornbread (spicy). Delicious! The corn bread is to die for and the bacon relish is extremely good.
Great food, be warned though, huge portions. You can share meals
Eclectic and good. Hostess was very distracted, but the wait staff was attentive.
I had the madame Cristo. hands down best breakfast I ever had. Service was excellent! Our server Jaun was so friendly and attentive!
We go for the French toast. It is the best we have ever had!
Always eclectic and the food is fabulous. I had a "BLAT". Yum, and the brioche they made it with was warm. Great lunch with my friend.
The outdoor patio here is amazing. It's fantastic ambience is perfect for a romantic evening, or to get together with friends. Tons of trees, plants, and white lights. The menu items are different and interesting. Portions are large and filling. Many of the menu items are spicy, so it can limit options for those who don't do spicy. I'd like to see more fish options. The alcohol menu is also extensive. Chances are, you won't be be disappointed with your visit.
My aunt and uncle were recently in town for a quick visit, and after much effort to find a mutually convenient location for our party of 5 coming from all different directions, I recommended Tower Cafe. Everyone was very pleased with the experience.
Great service every time we visit and they make the best Eggs Benedict in the World!!!
Lovely atmosphere! They had a wide selection of food and drinks to choose from and everyone enjoyed the dishes they chose.
Before I come I tried call if they work at Thanksgiving day and there stupid answering machine said yes, but in reality NO
Damn business
Best French toast I've ever had. Everything is quality at Tower.
The meals were fantastic. Jalisco Pozole and a Crab Melt were both more than we could eat and delicious. As always, the Bloody Maria was the high point
The host was very nice, there was no wait to be seated. Our server took a while to come by our table to even greet us. My food was good, this is the second time I ordered an omelette here. I wish they had a create your own omelette option.
I love Tower Cafe! There is never a visit here that I leave disappointed. There is always a wait, yes... However for the food, service, and environment. It's SO worth it! Our favorite dishes to order are the Thai Steak and Eggs, the French Toast (A MUST EVERY TIME!!!), and the eggs benedict. But like I said - you cannot go wrong with anything you get here. The cocktails and coffee mocha's are also so delicious.
Some people come just to have a meal under the trees outside. Some people come for the excellent beer, wine and drinks they offer. Everyone comes for the food. We know a couple, both "foodies", who drive for an hour to get here.
Loved the menu, but, someone didn't listen when we said please don't put onions on our meals. Food was good once they got it right.
Haf to wait about 30 minutes to get a seat and it sure was worth it. Love the french toast. Love the baked goods.
Wonderful ambience.
The food is always good and the bloody Mary is a favorite. Worrh the wait.
The food is so-so. Pros: nice drinks, world cuisine for someone that might not be brave enough to order at a Vietnamese/ Thai/ Mexican or other specific restaurant, variety of salads, pretty dessert case, pretty decor, lovely outdoor seating, nice staff.
Cons: dry chicken (I've tried the jerk chicken and the Brazilian chicken salad), desserts are so-so, side salads aren't listed under "sides."
Pro tip: happy hour is 3-6 and there's no wait.
We went for brunch and I was pleasantly surprised by the unique menu the offered. It was a bit of a wait to get in, but well worth it. The service was great and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. This is a picture of the Caribbean Hash. Pulled Pork mixed with perfectly made potatoes with an over medium egg perched on top. It was delicious, as we the rest of our parties meals. Will absolutely visit the Tower Cafe again the next time we're in Sac.
A must see and a must go. Portions are huge, I must warn you.
I love this place and the atmosphere. We went here every Friday night. Can t wait for it to reopen.
Tower Cafe is a one-of-a-kind experience. The diversity of the staff, food and decor make for delightful dining anytime of day
The food was not good,
We sat outside and I saw rodents run in the trees,
We waited a while for our table, but it was worth it. The food was great, our hostess, waitress and server were all the best you can hope for. I look forward to coming back.
Awesome. If you are a foodie this is a must go! If you're not you should be just so that you have to visit.
Great freshly prepared breakfast. Good service too.
A local favorite apparently, but an amazing find for am out-of-towner. Great service, unbeatable atmosphere!
Whats Good Sacramento?? Tower Cafe.
This place serves a wide variety of food with their breakfast, lunch, dinner and cafe. If you are eating in Sacramento, you have to go here first. The atmosphere and service makes it a pleasant experience dining at Tower Cafe.
So, if you have never been to tower cafe you are definitely missing out. I lived in Sacramento for years and it's a place we go to maybe a few times a year. I stopped by recently for brunch and brought my husband some food back. Definitely recommend the Monterey Cristo. it was absolutely delicious. my husband didn't see anything on the menu he liked and told me to pick him up a mcgriddle on the way home. ha....I got home the Monte Cristo and he licked his plate clean.
The setting was great. I sat out on the patio with a friend. I had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken caution, very spicy but it was great.
Always fantastic.. Plan your day for a visit here. Busy busy busy place. Well worth the wait.
Some of the best food in the area. Great atmosphere and good world food. Good for brunch, but be prepared to wait a while.
This was my first time here after living in the city for a full year. I know I only got the burger but I tell you, it says a lot when a place can make an awesome burger and fries. Jamies dinner also looked amazing and was also delicious. Sangria was very smooth and just perfect in flavor. Great little hide away.
Food and drinks are very good and portions are large. Staff and service are attentive and friendly.
Went here for lunch to experience a great vegan burger and it was good. My husband also had a regular burger and he enjoyed his too...Great service and great food.
Excellent salads and alcoholic drinks with reasonable prices. Waiter was casual and ok but not as informative as he should / must be for that position. Overall pretty good dining experience with colorful ambiance / aesthetics.
I love this place cuz of superb food and exciting experience.
I enjoy sitting outside & the french toast is amazing!
