An amazing zoo, they are constantly doing renovations and updating the animal exhibits, of all the zoo's I have seen, the Toledo zoo does the best job of recreating their natural environments and giving the animals plenty of space to play while still getting guests close enough to see them, my favorite areas are the Africa section, the aviary, and aquarium. In the Africa zone you can take a train around a large enclosure and see all kinds of African species in the same area, the only draw back is that's really the only way to see them, the aviary is fun because you walk through different climate zones with birds from that area flying all around you, I just wish they had more rooms like that, they recently redid the aquarium with an interactive touch tank and a separate area with a zoo rep that brings out smaller aquatic creatures to touch and tells you about them, the only problem is the signage is severely lacking with very little background information on the different species; in addition I would like to make a special note on the new elephant exhibit, it's bigger and they are more active than ever before playing with the tree structures and just seem more engaged in general

The first thing I noticed was the neatness of the zoo. Secondly It is so organized. I loved how organized and spaced out the zoo is. Beautiful animals that are worth seeing are here. I truly had a great time during my visit.

Great time. Great laughs. Great entertainment. Large variety of animals. knowledgeable friendly staff were there at most exhibits to answer questions. Animals seemed happy and well taken care of. You can bring your own cooler to save money. We did not like that you had to pay extra to feed the giraffes. And also the penguin exhibit was not stroller/ wheelchair accessible which was an inconvenience.

we have not been there in years, but what a disappointment. first, 7 dollars to park, then 14 dollars to get in. we are seniors on a budget, so it was upsetting to pay that much for a zoo that is not as good as it was and a dirty looking park. we will not go back again.

I love the Toledo Zoo. Great exhibits and beautiful grounds. Has an amazing selection of animals and is always updating. They host awesome concerts and events as well as educational programs for children of all ages. I'm having my wedding here and the staff at the zoo is great. This is an all day zoo with splash pad, zip lines, and rides.

Love the zoo. Splash area is great in the summer to cool off for all ages. Bring your own food and drinks to save money. Buy a season pass to save even more, even if you only visit a few times it saves you big.

Really a fantastic little zoo for what it is. It does not compare to Columbus or Chicago - but it doesn't try to. It's clean, well staffed, innovative, child friendly, and even the food is reasonable for zoo-fare. The new aquarium is great. The splash pad and kids zoo are great additions. Animals look content and we'll treated. I don't live in the area but still come at least once a year [I love zoos] keep it up Toledo you're doing a good job.

The Toledo zoo is a decent size zoo and we spent about 6 hours taking our time to see it all. We went first thing in the morning and were excited to see the the animals were extremely active! I was also impressed by some of the unusual animals in the collection.

This is a really nice Zoo...!!! The day we went most of the animals were sleep but we still enjoyed ourselves. Things to keep in mind. #1. Lots of walking, so wear comfortable shoes. #2. Pack a lunch and bring drinking water. #3. If you can, try the Adventure Course, ( LOTS for fun ). #4. Go to the Green house, it's beautiful!!!!!. #5. Go to the aquarium, and it's two sided to the Zoo so don't forget to see the Giraffes...

It was okay, it would have been better if most of the animals were there. Well over half were gone. For a family of four at a total of 80 dollars? Not worth it if only half of the attraction is there.

The diversity of exhibits is over the top. Aquarium a+, safari, kids loved it, the flower gardens are the best kept secret in northwest ohio, and the new museum is a show stopper worthy of a day all to itself, the aviary, is so pleasant, and the new splash pad adds a new dimension to the visit! Great job toledo zoo.

The flow is ridiculous, or lack there of, too many dead ends, multiple back tracking making it annoying, especially with small children, stroller, a wagon, and millions of people. Splash pad is not coarse enough to prevent slipping. Two separate incidents of small children lost footing and fell hitting heads on cement. We had a five minute experience before our own slip incident. Picnic areas are insufficient and lack shade. Aquarium is pretty cool and the positive we took from it.

We got the membership and take our daughter three or four times a year. The zoo is great. Such a pretty place to walk around for an afternoon. And during the holidays, the lights before Christmas are a must see!

I was taking my grandsons on a "mystery trip". I've stayed at other Best Westerns in the past and they were great. Not so here. Although you could tell the room was cleaned and vacuumed, apparently the person couldn't bend down. We found a penny, barrett and a Starbucks coffee stirrer on the floor. Mind you these were not hidden but out in the open. The fitness center tv wasn't working. Having stayed at other BWs before I know they have a nice hot breakfast. We were there for breakfast a half hour before it shuts down to make sure the food was still there. I made a waffle and when I went to make another their was only enough batter for about half a cup. When I mentioned this to the breakfast staffer she said that was enough to make one. I know for 100% that it is not. She insisted that it was. After arguing with her a bit, I offered her a deal. She could dump my half cup of batter in and if it doesn't make a whole waffle my room would be free for the night....she made more batter. She had no sausage out. That too was empty when we walked in at 8:30. No juice glasses out. Didn't see any reason why she couldn't keep up. Only two tables in use at the time. The next morning we were there at the same time. Everything was there. Including a different server

Peace

The weather was great, lots of people, but the zoo lights were fantastic. The big tree shimmered and was such a beautiful color. Loved the dancing lights on both sides. The show on front of building was really good and enjoyable as well. Over all it was magical.

A pretty good place to be with friends or family. If you love animals then this is the place to be. They have one gallapagos tortoise, I talked with one of the assistant there he had pretty good knowledge about it . They do Hippo show there and the African safari is also a must see there.
