The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium Review

They should of charged us half price since not every exhibit wasnt open.

Explored the new museum today. It is well done. I would go back!

Parked us out in back forty, didnt have their shuttle running. Walked as much getting to zoo if not more than walking inside zoo.
Wife is older and has trouble walking. The gate attendent said they were short staffed!! Supported zoo for over 35 years. Not getting our family's vote for any more renewals.

Always great trip to the zoo. New museum is very nice and packed with cool exhibits.

Lights Before Christmas and the Snoozin are such great activities for Cub Scouts and their families. A wonderful way to see the Zoo and learn about some of the different animals. I think our Pack will be back next year!

Best zoo I've ever visited. The new Toledo natural history museum is a must see.

One of the best places to visit in Toledo, Ohio winter or summer.

You have to walk too far to get in. It smells and looks like a zoo, a lot of the animals wouldn't make it in the wild so it's about as humane as possible. All the fences and barriers don't allow for people to get injured. Overall it's a so-so zoo when compared nationally.

My favourite zoo. Truly unique how it's on two sides of a freeway with a bridge connecting the two. Has all the standard zoo animals and is easy to spend most of the day on.

Nice place, but not alot of events open due to Covid 19, most of the animals looked tired.

Zoo was clean and they are handling covid well. Animals were cute as always.

It's really expensive, but we enjoy the animals. The aquarium is beautiful. They are making really nice upgrades.

Loved how the exhibits were set up so that you could get really close-up views of the animals!

Love the lights before christmas the best light show

We've been to this zoo a couple of times and I am always surprised at how nice it is. The space is well used and even though we go in the cold weather, enough animals are out to make it worth the trip.

Absolutely one of my favorite zoo's. This place is great. There are so many amazing animals and exhibits. The aquarium is great. And it's a great place to enjoy a beautiful day. Lots of nice scenery and the animals are always out where you can see them. They even have a splash pad for those super hot summer days. Always a fun day a toledo zoo.

I am giving this 5 stars because the toledo zoo is fantastic, we have been in the past, on our visit today 9-5-2020 i was a little disappointed because they are making people wait to see exhibits, which wouldn't be a problem if they were only allowing 50% in the facility however the lines were 45 to 60 minutes long and the parking lot was packed so im assuming they were at full normal capacity. Other than that its was a great day!!

I worked at the Toledo zoo and it was amazing and so diverse you wouldn't believe it; people from all over the world comes to the Toledo zoo and so far more than half are very satisfied and would come back.

Even being busy there approaching 10k guests on a Sunday night, the zoo still felt like it was relatively empty. The cold did not turn anyone away from the beautiful lights. 10/10 would recommend for anyone outside the immediate area looking to come for the experience of our lights

Even with covid19 restrictions the zoo was still amazingly fun!!!

We used to live near Toledo and we bought a zoo membership every year. Every time I travel I visit local zoos. I have been to a lot of zoos. Toledo is easily in my top 5. Beautiful buildings, well maintained, animals look happy and the food is reasonably priced for a captive audience. Skip Detroit, go to Toledo.

Had a very nice morning and afternoon with my daughter. If you're ever coming back to this zoo buy the membership, everything inside can be discounted with the membership

Enjoyed the visit. Some areas are limited due to the Corona virus.
Hours are limited, but didn't affect our visit.

Amazing zoo. Well worth the trip. Lots of large animals and plenty or stuff to do for kids. Will be returning for sure. Would recommend to anyone with kids under 10.

Great zoo! The animals are well taken care of, in good health, and have clean living areas. The zoo itself is well laid out without wasted space and a large variety of animals to visit. The air conditioned house make a hot day far more bearable as there are few trees or shady spaces. The aquarium and reptile house are great!

Stroller and wagon rentals available, as well as double stroller, wheelchairs, scooters, etc.

Plenty of options for food with both done in restaurants and small stands along the way. Fair pricing but be prepared to spend a little more as everything is inside of the zoo.

So much fun, favorite part was you get to feed the giraffes in person.

We have loved the Toledo Zoo for many years, despite living much closer to the Detroit Zoo. This zoo has really great exhibits, and it's a bit more walkable. A smaller amount of area contains a lot of great exhibits. The new aquarium is really fantastic. The kid-focused area has a nice outdoor play area with a little stream, plus a cool indoor section as well.

One of my favorite zoos! I like it even more than San Diego Zoo!

Aviary allow you to walk among the birds. Nice aquarium, Artic encounter was nice but glass covered with algae. Seal area nearly covered with algae. On rainy days 1/4 exhibits are closed but not crowded.

Given the zoo sits on less than 10 acres, there is an enormous amount of things to see. The remodeled natural history museum has a hands on exhibit that makes them feel like their in a zoologist's library. The aquarium has a touch tank and often there are divers feeding the coral reef tank. You can feed giraffes, watch polar bears, the hippaquarium and there was even a snow leopard born this week.

Great zoo nicely spread out and lots of interesting animals that you might not see at other zoo's.
