Awesome place
Awesome staff. I will go again.
Tues. Is senior days. Bingo, ProMedica museum, greenhouse and birds.
It was so amazing and exciting and the moment I went in I was jaw dropped
I've had a membership for about 3 years now and every year I'm still amazed by how amazing this zoo is , there are so many things to do and see .... absolutely a must do zoo
Great zoo, very clean and welcoming. The new museum is incredible too!
Not crowded at all today but it's the middle of September. The flow of the exhibits seem to be all over the place and their map is hard to follow. Still a nice place to go with the kids.
Love this zoo! The exhibits are awesome and grounds are kept very clean. They have every animal imaginable and then also the ones that are not. The aquarium is outstanding, it's my family's favorite by far.
Great family place with awesome exhibits....we will return
Love everything Ive done here. Splash pad is awsome. My work parties in summer have been great here
Great! Even in the off season it was very nice. Not much food wise but the exhibits were wonderful and it was nice not having so many people around. Great variety of animals in my opinion
It was a great zoo. We didn't even finish walking around there was so much. It was clean and well managed. It was just rather pricey in my opinion. It wasn't terrible but we were on a budget.
A great experience. Make sure you plan on at least a 1/2 day here.
This place is great. It isn't the smallest zoo, so plan on spending an entire day here. Not the cheapest zoo to visit, but completely worth every penny. They have gone way far above and beyond any expectations one could have about what a zoo could be like. They have many hands on portions where one can touch different animals along with hides, shells, bones, among other things. They have an adventure course if you're into that kind of thing with a zip line and having to make your way through their high up obstacle course. They have a play ground and splash pad for when the little ones get restless. The train ride is a decently long one which takes you all around. And a merry-go-round. There is the skybridge or tunnel to get to one side or the other. The carnivore cafe is a bit pricey, but the food is good. The newly remodeled museum is a sight all in itself. You can easily spend an entire day just inside the museum. If you're looking for a decently priced day away, I would totally suggest the Toledo Zoo.
I will always pick this zoo over the Detroit Zoo! Friendly, Clean and so much to see and do! The Museums, Feeding the Giraffes, The Gardens. Beautiful and such a good time.
Great Zoo. We have gone many times throughout the year. See and learn something different each time. Good for kids in strollers.
Clean and well maintained zoo with lots of animal varieties.
We always love going to zoo year round. The park is always clean and exhibits make it easy to see the animals.
We love our Toledo Zoo. We take our grandchildren every chance we get and visit other zoos throughout the United States. ..
We have a membership here and it's totally worth it! It's an awesome family friendly place. They have events all year long, for the season and holidays. Its perfect for the summer BUT super great in the winter too because it's not as busy and with a membership there are enough things to do during short visits My favorite event so far was the Halloween little boo at the zoo. My toddlers had a blast and they had non food items at every table for trick or treaters which meant the world to me and a mom of kids with allergies. If you are a Lucas county resident you can get in for free on Mondays. Highly recommend the zoo!
This is our favorite zoo to visit. You are close to the animals and the zoo is laid out so you don't have to do as much walking as other zoos which is great for our young kids!
Not too crowded, the animals were active, the baby giraffe is so cute!
Excellent place to visit not just with kids but as adults to. We have been here twice once with my sister and her kids and another time with our parents. It is huge and gets tiring but worth it.
I took my 2 kids and 2 nieces there last year. They were a handful and the staff helped out any time they ran off, which was a blessing. We ate at the restaurant in the middle of the zoo and the food was excellent.
I would take them there again. We had a good day.
Just excellent displays & good treatment of animals :-)
The Toledo Zoo is one of the finest in the country. If you're visiting the Toledo area be sure to see the zoo. You won't be disappointed.
Nice zoo. Clean, fun and educational. Highly recommend!
Amazing place for a more up close experience with many animals. So many great indoor exhibits that allowed me to enjoy on a rainy day.
My favorite zoo! Was a little upset they didnt have the zebras or giraffes out on mother's day
Love the Toledo Zoo!! We are members and totally worth it!
I have always loved the Zoo. I brought. My great grandkids. They love it.
Excellent, clean, a great zoo! I come from Livonia to the Toledo zoo.
The Toledo zoo is an amazing place, things you won't see everywhere! Tons of stuff to do, plenty of family fun to be had, quite the place to play Pokemon go, as well as a gift shop and plenty of food. The kids playground, educational area, aquarium and a few other attractions are newer/redone. And they have the lights on right now, the opportunities are endless!
Truly one on Toledo's treasures. Bring the grandkids and have lunch here. Easy with membership that includes parking too. Not a fan of buying food to feed the giraffes. They tend to congregate in the feeding area away from main viewing area and staff denies access to feeding area unless you pay up. Simple extortion. What next curtain off monkey cages and put in quarter slots to view them ? Over statement of course but highlights my point.
Seeing many of the cramped inprisonment areas empty was a blessing.
Parts of it were under construction, other exhibits were closed. At least the aquarium was good.
I have to say the TELEDO ZOO IS AWESOME. The staff is helpful engaging the place is super clean the exhibits are great... Fathers day was free for dad's I can not say enough about the zoo aquarium and Museum if u have not been go you will love it
World class zoo that is very walkable with little ones. We live between here and Cleveland and always go here for this reason.
I have been there multiple times but there is always more to see. The latest time, my wife and I saw the tigers play fighting with each other, deep low growls, teeth bared, as they rolled around trying to get the upper hand. I was amazed at what they did to the aquarium, with the new tanks and the area where you can pet some tiger sharks and other ocean life. I'm equally looking forward to when they finish their remodel of the science building and all the creepy crawllies. The zoo has lots to offer and every time is an fun experience.
Clean, well kept zoo that has all sorts of activities that make it a great time for all of the family
It was empty when we arrived. We though that its going to be a boring walk. But as the night began to fall, lightning went on and people started to arrive. A lovely and giant tree was perfectly filled with all kind of lights. And the cold weather transmuted into a cool environment. A must see.
Terrible experience from start to finish. Miles of backed-up traffic with no police in sight. Animal enclosures are not viewer friendly. Will never make the trip again.
Favorite place to go every single time I'm in town!
Well worth the drive. If we lived closer, we'd get seasonal passes.
Great time
Lots of animals. Not too big
Amazing amphitheater for seeing concerts. Animals are often very active and within close walking distance.
More to see, more to play, and more to learn everytime.
Voted one of the best zoos in the United States. It has something for everyone and your kids will have a blast.
Never been there ...prices were told are way up there..not a good place to go on a fixed income.
Great zoo, great aquarium. A good mix of historical buildings and modern habitats. Great polar bears.
We absolutely loved the new museum! The touch tank was the kid's favorite!
Great place to take the kids or just spend a nice day with your loved ones. They always try and make your visit as comfortable as possible, epically the stands with misters I'm the summer time for a quick cool off when you get to hot, and a great splash park for the kids. The new aquarium is very well done, although we do miss this rainforest room, and the tumbo trail has been upgraded excellently, although I would like to see the hippo enclosure redone as well.
Amazing zoo, better than any zoo I have been to in my travels. Rated one of the top zoos in America
Great fun from the oldest to the youngest. Well laid out, easy to walk, nice extras like the train.
I recommend feeding the giraffes! My little ones still talk about it.
Took my family to the toledo zoo. Parking was easy enough to navigate with no attendant at the kiosk. Upon purchasing the ticket 2 adult and 4 child tickets they then tagged on $7.50 for parking. After walking through the first park of the zoo we found the walking deck where we were told to park our stroller. Ok, no big deal. Then walking on the the deck with my children we were asked if we were going to pay to feed the giraffes we said sure they didn't say they charge you $12 for 10 pieces of lettuce sorry I'm not paying that. They said we couldn't see the giraffes if we didn't pay to feed them (it cost me over $100 to get in the door plus parking pretty sure I paid) now my kids are unhappy because they have to get back in there strollers after not seeing what we paid to see and it all could have been avoided if the kid that told us to park our stroller would have told us I had to pay for stuff that grows in my garden so I could feed a giraffe. What is my admission and parking paying for? The other exhibits are worth mentioning. The park itself is clean and well kept and everything was easy to walk to.
A wonderful public treasure. A very humane zoo, beautifully curated.
I absolutely love our Zoo!! The mask mandate is a bummer, but always a great place to visit!
Had a good time. Very hot outside, so couldn't see all of the animals. Only problem is the trial layout. It doesn't flow from exhibit to exhibit. Which means you have to backtrack.
