very nice place to be with the kids and the family, we had some good time in that place and we had a lot of fun, with all the different exhibits they have. The restaurants and facilities are very good, definitely I will be back again with my family!

We loved feeding the giraffes bit was a little disappointed that every stand was closed, opening a couple would be great!. However wasn't busy at all so that was nice.

All exhibits really fantastic except one section. The African Safari, it was overrun with some jungle gym thing and had to pay extra for everything especially if you wanted to see the giraffes. Our zoo the Fort Wayne children s zoo you can literally walk up to people feeding them. Only had to pay $1 to feed the giraffe.

Overall Toledo is really nice and worth it except for the African Safari area. Avoid that section and enjoy rest of zoo.

All things considered with whats going on with covid the zoo did a very good job. Alot of buildings were closed but we went expecting that.

This zoo is definitely one of the best in the area! Getting a membership is worth it. They are always changing and improving. Animal diversity is amazing and there are always activities to do. My 5 year old daughter would stay in Nature's neighborhood the whole day if I would let her. They have a lot of great programs but I think the Christmas lights are definitely the best!

Concert venue was nice just sucks the make the shows end early 10:30 for noise ordinance

I absolutely love the Toledo Zoo!! It's great in the summer/spring/fall (doing typical zoo stuff, walking around and seeing all the animals), but what really makes it amazing is that it is also just as fun in the winter!! There are enough indoor spaces (aquarium, aviary, indoor viewing areas) that you do not have to be out in the cold all day! Add in the beautiful amphitheatre and you've got yourself a top notch zoo!!

They're making some changes, but I always love my zoo trips.

We visited the Toledo Zoo back in 2014, so it's possible that things have changed since then, but this is probably the second best zoo my wife and I have visited (the North Carolina Zoo is #1 so far).
There were a large variety of animals that all seemed well cared for. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves despite the large crowds.

Cool zoo! The fish, amphibians, and reptiles were stunning.

Exhibits getting ran down. Many exhibits have been removed all together. Toledo zoo really got bad the last 7 years since I was here last. African Safari literally had more kiosks than animals. It is all about the money now. It's an outdoor mall with a few animals here and there. It made me nauseous. Toledo Zoo used to be one of the best in the area. Came here all the time growing up... extremely sad to see what they've done with it. Fort Wayne Children's Zoo in Fort Wayne, IN is much better. Toledo Zoo staff has lost most of their friendly and knowledgeable staff members.

Unless you are a Zoo member please plan on a full day with still not being able to do and see everything you want. It is an amazing facility.

We went for my oldest sons birthday and we had an absolute blast. Highly recommend.

I liked it. The scenery was great. Prices weren't too bad. Food was gross. Animals were neat. The museum was fantastic.

Toledo Zoo allows Lucas Co residents free admission on Monday, which is great. My kids really enjoyed the new Natural History Museum, as well as the polar bears.

Lot smaller then the Detroit zoo love the luminaries and because it was only 50 degrees the ANIMALS were on out a lot but the ones that were out were very active

Awesome Zoo n wow they are going to open the tunnel soon as construction is done.that how we got to the Zoo when I was a kid.

Good zoo. Just don't buy the souvenir refill cup. Takes forever to wait in line to get a refill.

One of the best zoos in the midwest. See the animals up close and the train ride is inexpensive and pretty cool. Two sides to the zoo makes it a little more intriguing as you feel like you are getting a 2 for 1 deal.

Very friendly atmosphere with a lot of fantastic exhibits and animals! It's more compact making it more enjoyable for little ones, has decent food, and fantastic employees (they have a policy similar to Disney when it comes to their staff). It is busy so early is always more ideal but as long as your patient, it's a great time!

We were with a huge group. Everyone had a great time. We even purchased a membership!

Christmas lights were beautiful! Most animals could not be seen.

Pricing for little boo at the zoo was high, especially $18.00 for child under 2

This zoo is fantastic. I have been coming here with my family for decades and now we bring out little one too. Parking is great, easy to get to, and the new aquarium is unbelievable. Stop for sure, it's a must-see Toledo landmark!

My wife and I enjoyed visiting this zoo. We love the size of it- not too big and not too small and contains all of the wildlife anyone would like to see.

Great place to be! Love the animal enclosures here and the wonderful experiences. However, it is extremely pricey for a family oriented place. Also very limited options for those who don t eat meat. I love the option for Lucas county residents on monday as well, it gives families that are less fortunate than others to enjoy the zoo as well. I also love going in the winter and seeing the lights. The ideas that the designers have for these decorations just blows my mind every single year. I love it the same as I did when I was younger!

It seemed all the good places was closed. Other then that it was pretty fun

A great friendly and safe place for kids and adults definitely recommend for a nice day out of the house.

This is a great zoo! Some areas are being renovated during the slower months but that just shows me things are being maintained. The Nature's Neighborhood is a must go for children and toddlers! Animals seem happy and I have seen animals playing almost every time I go through the zoo! They always seem to have baby animals in the enclosures also. We drive over an hour to go and it is worth it every time.

The Toledo zoo is a really great zoo. It's got a great diversity of animals, has active community outreach, and education programs. The light display for Christmas is apparently one of the best in the U.S.

Amazing zoo with an amazing aquarium. It was nice to go to a zoo and be able to see all the animals.

There is a lot of walking. Very spread out but I thought it was worth the walking.

The animals are active and the attendants are kind.
There is so much to do so it's really a perfect day trip.

Lots of fun for Families. The membership is the way to go but sign online before you go or else you'll have to pay for parking on your first visit. Lots to see and the aquarium is lots of fun.

Best zoo I've been to. New zip line and African exhibits are very cool. It's well worth spending a day and checking out the new and old exhibits.

I love my zoo!!! The aquarium is absolutely a must see!!! I'm so thankful I bought a membership. This has been a great treat for all 4 of my grandchildren ages 1-4

A fantastic zoo! Not just for Toledo but anywhere. Wish the walk into the main zoo wasn't so long but never the less, always a great time.

Best zoo in the midwest. We travel from Michigan to visit and have a membership now. Worth multiple trips to see it all. Great exhibits and friendly staff. The hippos are my kids favorite

love brining the kids here in the summer. They love all the animals, and the staff has been great when we need help or had questions

Pretty fun, about what I expected. Good selection of things to see and small enough to go around a few times to look at/watch your favorites again.

It was a great experience. Lots of things to know and explore. Kids love aquariums hippo, elephant, otter, seals etc. There science museum is also great. One of the must see in Ohio Toledo.

One thing need to fix... there is no drinking water fountain. They should open the drinking water fountain. Now please bring water personally.

Amazing but crowded but that is not the zoo's fault everyone just knew how cool it is at the zoo!

Beautiful and clean. Lots to do and see besides the animals.
