Iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel needs no introduction to the world. But etched in history is the place having the country's first electricity, to serving as a hospital during WW1, to hosting world renowned personalities and the story of the main entrance at the back of the hotel, opposite side of the ocean. Adjoining it is the Taj Mahal tower built with a different design and at a different time.
Good all day dining at the Shaminaya but the service was unexpectedly slow and the staff inattentive.
We went for coffee. The interior had nice decor and the staff was dressed in Indian theme.
Wonderful palatial architecture and interior is one time must visit
Indias number one hotel With good facilities. Located in cst. Call taxis available from out side of the station to taj.
Taj is a chain of luxury hotels and a subsidiary of the Indian Hotels Company Limited - headquartered at Express Towers, Nariman Point in Mumbai. Incorporated by the founder of the Tata Group, Jamsetji Tata, in 1903, the company is a part of the Tata Group, one of India's largest business conglomerates.
Five stars hotel
Looks very good + very good service by the stuff
One of the most luxirios and famous hotel of India. I don't know how it looks like from inside but from outside means from Gate way this building of the hotel is really amazing and fabulous.
What a awesome hotel, beautiful. Located at sea edge near gate of India. Much more beautiful in evening. Fabulous hotel.
Rooms are plush. For a quarantine. The food was not that great. I'm sure the outlets have amazing food on a regular basis.
Food is amazing service is amazing....But beware of valet parking...Will virtually ensure your car gets a bump everywhere .....They are all new drivers and in a major hurry......
What a vast hotel ...i think it is not for middle class who hardly can afford its budget more than to go outside the periphery and click photos with its great vastness like me ...it is too costly
Great hotel. Stayed on the 7floor of the towers. Staff was super friendly . The breakfast spread was decent. Room service staff was very polite as well. The balcony was accessible and Jada great view of the city with parts of the gateway from room 711.Had called for a club Sandwich which came within 20 mins and was a little dry but the pickles made up for it . The property is grand and the location is superb.
Having very scenic beauty facing the roaring sea & Gate way of India....A grand Hotel raised by Sr Tata......just to show the power of Indians.......
Amazing location. Good ambinance. Best cakes from their pastry section
Visited Souk for an intimate family birthday celebration. The experience wasn't exactly what we had expected from a Taj restaurant. Even though it wasn't bad, there was very little to write home about either. The food was nice, the Basil Hummus marrying together my love for Pesto and Hummus really well. The Tagine was...a tad disappointing. Definitely felt like a nondescript Pav Bhaji even though that's probably doing a disservice to the latter. Unfortunately not an experience I'll remember which is disappointing because it wasn't a bad experience.
The classiest hotel in Mumbai. The service is superb and the menu, adequately varied and delectably delivered.
Excellent food, courteous service and great ambience at the Golden Dragon, the Taj Mahal Palace
Toilets could have hand sprays. Not convenient for Indians to just use toilet paper.
Mumbai famous place to visit.one of the most costly place in world.
Nice ambience. Great location. Coffee can certainly be better but the kima pav was good
best stay in my life very friendly staffs neat and clean rooms.
One of the best hotels in Mumbai with some amazing restaurants and views!!
Amazing service, good food, Should be experienced once in life.. Very friendly staff...
this hotel with its 560 rooms and 44 suites is considered the flagship property of the group; it employs some 1,600 staff. The hotel is made up of two different buildings: the Taj Mahal Palace and the Tower, which are historically and architecturally distinct from each other (the Taj Mahal Palace was built at the start of the twentieth century; the Tower was opened in 1973). The hotel has a long and distinguished history, having received many notable guests, from presidents to captains of industry and stars of show business
This place has a great aura and excellent quality of stay. Went to Shamiana for dinner. Dinner was decent, but taste of food was not worth the money. One of the staff member very rudely tried to show us out of the hotel while we were having a look at the statues and photos inside the hotel, and after confronting him, he asked us to show the bill of restaurant and only then allowed us to stay. I think this behavior of staff is bad and does not suit to the reputation.
It is a five star hotel in colaba, Mumbai, India. Beautiful architecture and elegant interiors will steal your heart away. Worth spending time and money both. FYI, it is the first building in the country to get intellectual property rights protection for its acrchitectural design.
7 star bussiness hotel, replica of taj mahal, the senerio is great with gate way of india at doorsteps, and indian ocean open view
Luxury at its best, whenever I visit Taj I feel I have come to visit best of the life
Had gone for a birthday pary. The hotel is situated opposite Gateway of India. The staff and service is very warm and welcoming. It offers a wide variety of cusine. It is a must visit place. The rooms are big and spacious.
Awesome place but don't visit during day it's very crowded and very hot and humid
Love the look from outside. Never been inside though!
Historical place of India and it's a beauty of Taj Hotel
Lovely hotel and great service. View of the gate way and sea. Large pool.
I haven't been inside but the place looks majestic.
The name is enough. Service outstanding well as the food at almost all their restaurants.
It's the finest 5 star Hotel in Mumbai. Their service, food, rooms, everything is upto one's expectation when they pay for it. The Shamiana and Masala Karft is a must go.
Service in not at all.. Really disappointed.. I never expect this.. It's my Dream to visit Taj hotel once..!!
Love every hotel by Taj management. Their service is great and locations are just perfect. Love the atmosphere . The architecture of the buildings are speechless.
One of the best places to go to in Mumbai. An experience in itself.
The Most Iconic hotel in India...if you are in Mumbai, you must visit the hotel...at least from the outside
As the name says The Taj Mahal Palace . Pride of our Nation. And you can even know more about Tata just after a visit.
Amazing place to be in mumbai. Great hospitality, good service..
This hotel is iconic. I could feel the spirit of TATAs in everything tangible and intangible at The Taj Mahal Palace.
One of my best experience in Mumbai I can never forget. Came here for my cousin brother's wedding reception. The ambience and hospitality is too good to mention about. The veg food here we had was excellent. Our whole day was a pleasant and awesome experience to always remember :)
One of best luxury dinning place in Mumbai. We had an awesome and memorable time. The staff is courteous and excellent service
The hotel is like an out of the world exoerience. It is full of culture and the staff couldnt be more courteous. The location of this property is breath taking. I had a wonderful staying experience.
Top class 5 star hotel in Mumbai. Very nice facilities it is so beautiful and attractive.
BEST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE,STUFF R GOOD N FOOD IS AWESOME.N SERVICE IS TOO GOOD
I wonder if there are any positive words left to speak about the Original Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, it's not just the high guest relation standards but it's a legacy of positive experiences rarely maintained by any hotel for so many years... everyone must get to experience it in some small way at least... Do rake in some of the history as you walk down from the new wing into the old palace hotel... Some of the pictures of the visitors will surprise you
Most happening place in Mumbai, beware of theifs on the road
Everything about this hotel is amazing, there are very few hotels worldwide which can match this place.
And Probably the best hotel we've ever stayed in with amazing service. We will certainly be returning. Incredible room and housekeeping details. And the a staff hospitality was impeccable. Great fun for sure.
I guess like the whole of Mumbai. The hotel is space crunched..we stayed at the palace wing, expected more traditional decor. The rooms were not ethnic enough. Plus a wee bit small...waiting for breakfast was a surprise...very expensive obviously.
