The Stratosphere Hotel Casino Tower Reviews

We've been a couple of times but just because of the tower and the views. We liked going up in the late afternoon to catch the sun going down and seeing the strip. The staff were particularly pleasant and engaging the whole time on our last trip.

The top of the Tower was very tired and a little grubby, perhaps showing it's age. Part of the viewing area was screened off for a party, so along with the ride entry viewing was a bit restricted. But we were there for the views so made the most of it and it was still worth experiencing.

Stayed here when i was in Vegas and it was an alright hotel. It smelled way too much like cigarettes compare to other Vegas Hotels i visited. This hotel is affordable but it is at the end of the strip so we had to Uber a lot.

I would give a negative stars. This room we are in looks like something from the 70s. The beds have no head board. The bathroom is like it needs work done .

It was so interesting everything they had inside the hotel from restaurants to amusement rides to shops it was amazing

This hotel stay was an awful experience. The hotel is located in a run down and bad neighborhood. Requested a non-smoking room and was assigned a room that reeked of cigarettes and weed. The room was hot upon arrival and the hallways to get to the rooms are not air conditioned. All night people were screaming, running down the hall and knocking on doors down the hallway. The walls are thin and the adjoining room door has no barrier under them so you could hear the other guests, see their lighting and smell their room smells seeping under the large crack in the door. The rooms are not what was promised and have not been updated in years. Clearly was a smoking room in the past and they don t care to regulate that. No refrigerators or amenities in the room. The room and bathroom were dirty and disgusting. You couldn t pay me enough to ever stay here again. Do not recommend.

Great pool on 24th floor. I lots fun at night closes at 11pm. Drinks are quite expensive here. Watch your pockets. Good place for date and late night swim. Dj is really good. Big screen TV for Sunday night football. Great Mexican restaurant on second floor prices are phenomenal. Service is the best.

The view from the observation desk was an Amazing 360 degree panoramic view of all the lights and surrounding area. The bar, the food, the the experience was so worth the money and time. I would have given it 5 stars..but only 1 ride was operational while we were there. It was fun....but we were limited. We will go again!

Really great price and we had a really great room. Always nice and clean when we came back! The casino is great there's a Starbucks, a few restaurants and stores and yes, a McDonald's. As long as you get some bus passes it's such a great spot and very easy to get into the center of the strip on the bus.

The stratosphere is a must see in Vegas. It's worth the trek up the strip. We ate at the buffet and was pleasantly surprised. They had great selection and it was great food! The view from the top is a must see.

This was a fun and unique stay. It was one of the cheaper hotels on the strip as well. The view on the observation deck was one of a kind.

Renamed THE STRAT is a very elegant environment and friendly service with those good luck slots

The view was spectacular but not thrilled the taxi pickup is on the other side of the hotel.

Definitely worth the trip. We went during the week and had lunch. The service was fantastic and the food was excellent. The view was wonderful and it was a great way to spend an hour relaxing!

Room was next to elevator so got noisey at times but l sleep heavy, the check in line is a disaster but luckily we got in early. you can check out thru the TV so that was a big help. Had gum on the carpet, although I left a note for housekeeping asking them to remove it since I walked in it, they over looked the note but came in the evening after I called to ask them to remove it again. Found stain on mattress protector, gross, but I'm still alive. A few stains on the inner lining drape. Room was okay, but really wasn't in it much.

The rides at the top are awesome. The one that tilts you over the edge is the scariest thing I have ever done! Loved every moment of it. Next time I am going to do the zip line down the the side. My father-in-law and wife enjoyed themselves too. Thanks for a good day

Going to the top of the needle is a must do in Vegas. Awesome nightly view!! They had an art show going at the top while we were there -- it was fabulous!! Staff was nice & helpful.

Food and rides are amazing at the top of the tower. Everything needs to be washed in the room and more workers to clean rooms. I wouldn't recommend to stay a night there. Too much dust on bed sheets,towels, etc.

We were very disappointed with the phone service. Always at least 20 min hold for front desk. Slots very tight. Tower is the best! Beware of room charges! Do not include resort fees or upgrades which are def needed. Otherwise no refrigerator, safe, or view. Extremely disappointed with Top of the World Restaurant. Over priced for quality! Server was rude. Reservations not respected! Would not go back.

Noisy, no mini bar in rooms. Higher up rm ok. Not near anything. Pool closes early.

Mediocre hotel. Terrible internet in the room, too far away from the strip (30 minute walk or $10 Uber to the Bellagio)

Crazy place with a stunning view from the top and some crazy attractions. Not for the faint hearted

Good place to stay. Beware of the resort fees and other hidden charges. The deuce bus is on the other side of the casino very affordable and convenient. Try the strat cafe. Very good food at good prices. 3 stars only because of the hidden fees they steal going to charge you so soon as you walk in into the place.

We stayed here for the first time with the family.We were 5 people and the room had 2 beds and one pul out couch.It was neat and clean.normally I get allergic reactions but not here.The pool is nice and it's convenient because it's right on the strip and not expensive especially if you go with a couple of people and share the cost.parking was not that far either as other hotels where we stayed like the mgm and aria.

Rude house keeper. Sink backed up. No toilet paper in the room, room wasnt ready till after 5pm unless we paid for an upgrade. Very disappointing. No iron in the rooms.

It's a nice place to visit and stay. Stopped in to check out the tower and try the strat cafe. The view was amazing.

The Strat is a great budget friendly choice for Vegas. The staff is super nice and helpful. It's about 4 blocks from the busiest part of the strip, so plan to Uber or take the tram around. They are also in the process of lots of updates, I look forward to my next trip here.

First time here i was pleasantly surprise the rooms were nice and clean also easy parking.

Very cool place with fun rides, free parking, and great views. However, it is somewhat detached from the strip. Also, be careful walking around the area a few blocks from the Strat...it looks similar to Detroit.

Always a halfway decent hotel for the location first one I ever stayed at down here in Las Vegas continuing to upgrade the inside.

A little pricey just to access the viewing deck (price has more value if you just spend the extra 5 to ride the rides) but the view is absolutely breathtaking. Not sure I would do it again but it was certainly a cool experience.

Our stay was sooo comfortable. Easy check in and checking out was no hassle as we needed to catch a very early flight out of Vegas . Enjoyed the casino and the shops and restaurants inside. . Enjoyed going up the stratosphere tower viewing the city of Las Vegas ...the location of the hotel is just right to access the las vegas strip.

Except for restaurant in the sky, low class. Poor casino bad service.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
I hosted a dinner with 45 guests here. The bill was close to $7k and it was HORRIBLE! The service from door to door was terrible in all aspects of the hotel, casino, restaurant. Valet was rude and slow- after waiting over 15 minutes to receive service I was told I'd have to wait even longer. I explained we were in a dinner party and needed to get to our destination- he did not care at all. The line to get to dinner took 35 minutes. Getting through security was extra- like metal detectors REALLY. We were promised wrist bands to explore the activities- what a joke! The elevators kept that from being a possibility! It took 45 minutes to get from one floor to the next.

I spent $1500 on the same group for brunch at HONEY SALT. IT WAS AMAZING!

Toilet ran ..sink clogged.. awful view..and this was my birthday weekend!.. Awful!!!!

Disgusting flooded shower. Urine colored water coming up thru the sewer. The manager was rude and said that wasn t a reason for a refund!!! Never staying here again and I suggest you avoid this place.

Came here for the first time. I liked it a lot, the tower has an amazing view and some adrenaline pumping rides. The places to eat where delicious. I wish that The Wet 24 was open though , I Will definitely come back next year.

The stratosphere was a nightmare from the time my feince and I got there to the time we left plus we paid for an extra room for my mother inlaw but the staff was rude and disrespectful and between my feince and I the stratosphere had chose to steal money from both accounts mine and his totalling about 600 dollars and things to the stratosphere my feince account was frozen because of all the fraud on it if I could give them o zero I would im really unhappy with them and they need better staff and better management

The mattress is old and hard.. My room was very dusty. The pools close at 5 and 7pm?!? I called the front desk and was informed all the beds were the same...old and hatd. The front desk offered to have the room cleaned properly, but they never came up to clean it.

What a spectacular view! You can see all of Las Vegas from here as your table moves at a glacial pace making it comfortable for you to enjoy a delicious meal. FOOD AND WINE were both amazing!..My waiters were on point excellent service. An absolute must if your in town. I will be back for sure!

The stratosphere is great. At one time the stratosphere or should I call it to "Strat"? Was the place to go to get a view over the strip. Nowadays the surrounding buildings are just as tall as the stratosphere. Still great place to go and look at the surrounding valley. The stratosphere is aged however you can see they're trying to revamp and put money into the property. In my opinion it's a great budget-friendly place to visit.

I love the fact that I really didn t have to go anywhere. This hotel have everything like 2 pool area. Family friendly and adults one. Food was awesome, you can get good breakfast, all you can eat, even carry out food. This hotel must stay.

I loved the experience and the exploration that I was able to do with my family! As crowded as it was I also felt very spacious amongst other's! Truly an exciting time

Room was old desk had holes, left $5 tip on table and by accident left couple important items in room and maid most likely stole them. Called house keeping and security and was given the run around and they were more conserved with shift change then finding my lost items

Tallest thrill rides anywhere! The view from the top is amazing, providing a 360 degree look at the city and surrounding area.

The casino is clean, lively, with plenty of slots and table games to choose. The staff is friendly and courteous.

Under construction. Lack of video poker machines. They took out the dancefloor in the lounge. Felini's Italian Restaurant is gone but the employees said it was still there. Mostly mall food available. You can't order 2 drinks at once. You have to wait 20 minutes before ordering another. So no ordering for a friend and forget about a shot and a beer. What's happening with Vegas?!

My husband has been booking rooms with The Strat for Six years now. This time they put us in the "Essential Tower". We are HIGHLY disappointed! Feels like we're in Motel 6. No renovation what do ever. Just horrible! This will be our last time coming to The Strat.

We had purchased 3 observation tickets and 3 ride tickets. The rides were supposed to close at 10. We got there at 930 and they had closed down the rides. We tried to go back the next day to ride the rides but they told us we needed to purchase another 3 20 dollar observation tickets just so we can use the ride tickets we had bought the day before and couldn't use because they had closed it down early. There where a few more examples of the service here being trash. But what a waste of money

Our stay at the Stratosphere got off to a bit of a rough start with our room not being quite up to par for what we expect from a well known hotel on the Strip. However, after letting management know about our concerns, they went above and beyond to make it right. We thoroughly appreciated their immediate action to make sure we had a great stay. And from that point on, we did have a great stay! Do yourself a favor and stay here for your next trip to Las Vegas.

One of the most iconic casinos in Las Vegas. Not the best location but still on the strip . Activities like skyjump ($120) are a bit overpriced I would say but there's nothing to compare to a dinner in the tower

Amazing view atop the tower. There's some intense rides up there as well I'd be worried about going on and I'm not normally afraid of heights.

The casino itself is like most casinos. The bartender at fat Tuesday within was pretty cool and likeable guy.

Saw the new show in the tent at the Strat! Really good!

Very clean, very nice. Went for the buffet which was okay. Lots of variety but the food didn't stay as hot as it should, but that's to be expected at any buffet really. It was very good as far as buffets go. But our waitress was amazing. She was on point, right there everytime we needed her without us ever having to ask. We even found the manager after to tell him how great she was. And the manager himself was awesome, very friendly. We're now booking the rest of the week at the stratosphere.

Love this place. If you want to see the view of Las Vegas then go to the stratosphere. Great food up stairs.

Top of the world was an awesome experience and the food is great and plentiful

Honestly, I have to say I do enjoy staying at Stratosphere. I'm in Vegas every couple months and usually stay there. They usually have amazing prices (resort fee is often more then the room rate) yet the rooms are still nice. It is close to downtown, super close to the SLS Monorail Station so you get easy access to the strip. They are renovating the entire hotel and casino slowly, with some restaurants and rooms already made over. Casino has a good selection, and I do win quite regularly. Hit up the top of the newly dubbed Strat and you can even go on amusement rides, or jump off and repel down to ground level.

I enjoyed myself here. In the past I've only stayed at the MGM Grand so I was sceptical but I had a good time and it's in a good location

My wife and I came here for a week and we had a great experience. There are alot of pros and cons for the strat but I believe them to be one of the premier places to stay in Vegas.

Pros: Plenty of restaurants, nice pools (adult pool nice as well), room was neat and clean no smells, and plenty to do at the strat itself (casino, restaurants, shopping, thrill rides, shows etc). Staff was friendly and helpful.

Cons: Hidden hotel fee. Just put it plain at the top of paperwork while booking that says hey there is another charge when you check in. Or just add it into the price for booking. We had to pay nearly 200 dollars extra at check in.

Some restaurants are expensive. I get that its vegas but at least offer your guests vouchers or %'s off. We had 1 voucher for 10% off during brunch hours

Our room did not come with a refrigerator nor a microwave. Also the tub in our room didnt drain well while showering.

No jacuzzi in adult pool area

All in all we had a great time in Vegas with an exception of a few things. The strat is great for all ages as well.

Ate the top of the world. I highly recommend it at night.

I saw the MJ Live show here! It was an amazing show! I didn't want it to end! It is a must see show if you ever go to Vegas.

Go to the top of the tower and you can do Skydive.

This is an fun place. If you take the elevator upstairs you will see that their is a world full of shops & places to eat they even have a video arcade upstairs with cool games and i like casino's and this casino is very good .

What an enjoyable experience!I think the only down or was when we were spending over the side of the building it was going so fast we couldn't really appreciate the view. Then there was the slingshot. The slingshot was great because they shut us up in the air I think the scariest point was where we were airborne off of the seat about 2 inches for about 3 seconds and that was scary! The X-scream was not so scary if anything just somewhat uncomfortable. It was too much jerking and not in a good way! That made it made a less pleasant experience.

But overall fun.

This was the worst!
1. Our room wasn't clean when we checked in, there was McDonald's trash still in there and the sheets were dirty.
2. When we asked for a better room we were charged .
3. We weren't even asked for discounts or compensation for our discomfort and stress.
4. Don't visit the Strat.

The STRAT Hotel (formerly the Stratosphere) began construction in 1991. It took 5 years to complete and finally opened in 1996. This property is pretty cool and remains popular among tourist for various reasons. I enjoy the views of Las Vegas that you can only get at The Strat. I'm a big fan of the two observation decks located here. The "Top of the World" restaurant is super cool. It's a great sight. I enjoyed my time at The Strat. I will be back again! The staff were also very helpful the last time I visited.

I have enjoyed my 3 stays there. Prices are good. I played poker at another casino, but the Stratosphere (I still call it that) had better room rates, fine restaurants, and a fun atmosphere. They've since added a sports book. Lots of nice entertainment, too. Family-friendly. Highly recommend... :)
