We ordered the sea food hot tiered platter it was amazing!

Our server Rafeala was great. But the food came out not hot and not a lot for the price. Just disappointed.
Great atmosphere

Over priced seafood. You can get a bucket for half the price at Joe's Crab Shack or Red Lobster. It was nothing spectacular. I also tried the sauteed calamari and it was good. The grilled fisherman's platter was a BASIC white fish, poorly seasoned with water vegetables. I was very disappointed, especially since their menu mentioned at fresh herb garden. How can the "number 2" restaurant in Key West not have fresh parmesan for a tonato sauce or real butter with garlic for their lobster? Don't waste your time or your money.

Great food. Great service Heather was really nice. Great prices on their lunch specials. Will be going back soon.

People that took the order wasn't friendly and the crabs were very expensive!

the food is terribly bad and very expensive for how bad it is. the service for nothing I liked I give a star pork I have no pork option for me it does not take any. the only nice thing is the place hurts k do not know how to take advantage. and clarify k am local live here but when cesar k is Cesar

They appear to be poorly managed. The wait time was longer than it should have been because they were understaffed. We sat at bar area to wait for our table to be ready but after waiting at least 15 minutes our area of the bar counter had still not been wiped down. We asked the bartender for something to wipe it with but all she had handy was some napkins which she handed to us to wipe. My mojito was barely average (used raw sugar which didn t dissolve). The food was only o.k. The waitress (Martina) made-up for the negative experience. She was friendly and very attentive. Very much on the ball. They need a couple more Martinas.

The seafood paella was pretty good. The issue we had with this establishment was the flies. Going to the restroom there were dead fish remainders with flies flying around.

Absolutely the worst hospitality!! Pay $51.00 for a dinner that I could have gotten same flavor and quality at a nursing home!! Stoned or not stoned they suck!!

Get off your couch put that game remote down and do something with your life enjoy it

Busy, slow, expensive, mediocre food and service. Good coconut drink.

Bad overall. Service is really bad and slow, food is ok-nothing special. We made reservation and they told us at the entry that they are fully booked and we can wait at the bar:) there is no social distancing here. It was 3 of us at dinner. One main meal arrived hour before the other one-also the steamer arrived cold. They never gave us one of our appetizer. They forgot to tell us they re out:)

Update: With the response I got below just solidifies my opinion of the experience there. Other folks in our party did not pay cost, they paid full price. I was in Key West working 16 hour days too. I never gave poor customer service. I continued to treat people like people and smiled and explained the situation. Don't open if you're not ready to be a restaurant and have a smile on your face. Other restaurants I went to were still friendly and welcoming.

Not much to tell you because I left after waiting more than 30 minutes and never having anyone get our drink order and asking two different waiters to take it. The second one said it'd be another fifteen minutes before he could take my food order. I know times can be tough and it's after Irma but folks who came in long after us not only had their drinks but their food too. The other folks in my party stayed.

Our server was very nice, however, this place is way over price, and the food was mediocre at the least!!!! Don't order the peel and eat shrimp because not only do you have to peel them, one has to de vein them and take the freakin heads off.... really oh and for 6 cost $14.00. Our bill was over a $100 for a beer, a glass of wine, a sprite, one salad, sucky peel and eat shrimp,
And a chicken sandwich. So I gave one star because I had to. My true thoughts

Service was great, staff knowledgeable about menu, made great recommendations and food was great. I had the Old Bay Steamer and it was the seafood taste I was looking for during my vacation to Key West. I also ordered a Zombie from their Tiki drink menu and it was delicious as well.

Waitress was great, food was bland. No seasoning at all!!

The crab legs were very expensive. The shark feeding was interesting.

The grouper fritters and the conch fritters were mostly dough, and extremely undercooked. Nicole, our waitress, had the charges removed. She was very nice.

I ate there several months ago & had the yellowtail sandwich. I was impressed with both the quality & quantity. I went back recently & had the combo basket. Both the fish & shrimp were over cooked, almost burnt. The portions were small compared to the price

Well I got there a 5 pm.with a party of 4 . The lady told me the kitchen was running about 30 min behind . I told her that was fine and to seat us and we will order drinks while we wait . She said we could sit us outside in the waiting area. I retold her we want drinks BUT SHE WOULD NOT SIT US . So we left . Good luck with your business NOT!!!!!!! PS the place was not buzy as there were empty tables in front of us

Good food a bit pricy for a sandwich with the catch of the day at 25 for a sandwich.

My girl has food poisoning from one bite of a cold lobster from this place. The food was over priced, poorly cooked and no one working there seemed to give a damn about it. Save your money and eat at the pizza Hut across the street.

The only reason this gets a star is for location. The service was a joke and Ashlee took 18% gratuity for not giving us service. The food is disgusting, the have large tropical birds in small cages who were obviously stressed and filthy. Would not suggest this place at all. Absolute disgrace to such a beautiful spot.

The stone crab came in season yesterday so it was nice and fresh and the stone crab bisque was delicious! Our server seemed a bit new but she was very nice. We ordered the grouper fritters and could not find any meat, but she replaced them with some calamari which was pretty good.

Fresh market is great.
Ordered Mahi filet's and they were cut fresh right before my eyes. Best.

I just got engaged and we went to celebrate at the resturant. The hostess was wonderful but us at a table on the water and moved a chair from another table for our party of five. When our server came over she didn't introduce herself or ask for our drink order but said, "this chair can't be here it's against firecode. Do you still want to sit somewhere"? When she left to tell someone to seat us somewhere else we got up and walked out. Horrible customer service and I will not be returning ever.

Amongst a group debate decided to go to the Stoned Crab for lunch today.
We were greeted and sat. Hostess wasn t rude but wasn t all that welcoming. Server was pleasant but wasn t service oriented. Most of the workers seemed like it was just a job & they were just going through the motions for a pay check. All of this so far may not seem like an issue for most but when I choose to patronize a service industry business I just expect decent service. Starting with the server greet...we weren t given a (name)so as to properly address her, There were no menu or app suggestions made, no real interaction and seemed she was trying to walk away as soon as she got to the table saying as least as possible. My drink was heavily watered down with little black specs floating around in the glass. Waved her down because we didn t know her (name) and no (name) tag was present. Ordered my burger medium and it was well well done. She walked by without stopping asking if everything was okay. During refills she always grabbed the glasses on the drinking rim. I asked for a refill and when she returned it was once again watered down with hair floating in it. I quickly brought it to her attention. She said ohhhhhhh, took the drink and yet again returned it watered down. Seems as though all she did was remove the hair and bring me back the same drink. Never addressed the hair, apologized or alerted management. I just expected a little more from The Stoned Crab. This is cheap fast food so get ride of the cheap fast food service standards.

Overpriced for the food we received, it was basic at best. The service was horrible, never saw our server again after the initial order. Save your money and find another place to get good seafood.

First time back to the keys in a long time and stayed at the ibis resort and we're looking for something to eat and seen the stoned crab next door so we decide to try it and it was the most horrible experience ever ,service was horrible, food was horrible, pancakes not done eggs were watered and microwaved would not recommend this place to a bum for free food

Absolutely terrible, one hour wait, nothing but excuses. Terrible service never saw the waiter. Overpriced seafood, very small portions. Very bland tasting no seasoning.

Great place! Went for lunch and watched them unloading the fresh fish for the restaurant. Snapper Grouper and more. And they have a cove right next to the outdoor tables that has all sorts of fish including small and smaller sharks. You can watch them feed the sharks at 1pm. The attached resort rents not only rooms but every kind of water toy you can imagine I highly recommend The Stone Crab. It's worth the time and say hi to the parrots!!!!

Quaint and excellent, but still a little expensive for the quality received

Overpriced IMO, and service was a little off. Don t think it was our cuppa tea, but see for yourself. You might like it.

We had a pretty bad experience. We went by there at around noon on a Sunday, but I wouldn't say it was busy. Plenty of empty tables. We ordered the conch fritters, a dip, and fish tacos. The food was excellent. HOWEVER, 30 minutes after ordering the fish tacos the manager comes up and tells us that the fish taco order fell through the cracks, so they took it off the bill, and they had our bill ready for us to leave. Was that some kind of favor to take it off our bill since we never got our order? We said, "no we'll take it to go." So another 10 minutes later the food finally showed up. A total wait of 40 minutes for TWO fish tacos, some rice, avocado, and salsa for a whopping $20. So yes despite the long wait and their screw-up, we still had to pay for the two tacos. The sad part is that the waitress was good (although she should have been tracking the status of our taco order) and the food was great, but the management does not understand customer service. They saved $20 but we won't be going back again. In an area like this, fresh and tasty seafood is widely available and it's customer service that distinguishes the restaurant and brings people back.

Overrated prices. But overall very nice place to visit

My husband and I just landed in Key West and we wanted to get a quick bite to eat. The food was super yummy and service was quick. Great first place we tried!

Our Server was highly knowledgeable about the local fish and even brought a tile fish over so we could see that it has to be speared and that they eat coral with tiny sharp teeth. Three hands fish market provides their fish and is named because only three hands touch the fish, the fisherman, the cook and you. You also get a fisherman card if you order seafood of the fisherman who caught your fish/shrimp/Lobster. Overall great atmosphere, loved the nurse sharks! Great service! The Eco Lemonade was original but not my cup of lemonade. The Lobster was good. The kids enjoyed all the decor and the Parrot Lexi who speaks and laughed at my son when he jumped at the bird saying hello. lol. Enjoyable and equal in price to most non fast food restaurants in Key West about 100.00/4 ppl

Service was awful Flies everywhere and food was mediocre at best the steak was more like fat and they brought us the wrong kids plate

Service was acceptable. Friendly and courteous. Ordered the fisherman platter which was heavily breaded fried fish and shrimp. Your neighborhood fast food burger joint has better tasting fish than the one served here. The drinks had very little alcohol. The best part of this dinner was feeding the fish, birds and flys with the store bought dinner rolls.

150$ For crab fritters, they were chewy. We then both got a steamer. The clams and muscles were overcooked and most had fallen out of their shell and into the basket. Crab was over cooked and chewy. Random potatoes and corn at the bottom of the steamer basket. All food covered in a weird spicy flavoring that was mentioned nowhere on the menu. I would never recommend or come here again. Just plain awful!

Horrible service and two people in our party were sick before hitting the exit door. Management insisted the grouper was fresh but the two people that ordered it (and only took one bite,) said it tasted contaminated with fuel or something. I could not eat my meal after tasting the warm cole slaw with a fly on the side.

Ordered a Mai Tai; $12...I honestly don t think there was ANY alcohol in it.
I got the Key West Steamer; good, but way overpriced....
Wife got some shrimp and lobster pasta; okay, but I ve seen appetizers big than that entree and it too was overpriced....
Spent $100 plus tip and left still hungry.
For $100 I could ve gone to Duval Street and rocked all night.
If money is no object, eat and drink here, but order two of everything except the cocktails...order three for every one you planned on having.

The look is nice, but the quality of the food is poor

Food was not tasty at all. Food was not worth the price.

The worst meal we have ever had! Went there for lunch ordered grouper with fries. Fish tasted terrible, fries were soggy, drink tasted like dirty water. Non of us finished our meals or drinks. I think I took 2 bites before I couldn't even look at the food. We told our server how disappointing the meal was, and she said, "I'm sorry to hear that." as she gave us the bill for $90.00! I asked her, "is this lunch prices?" she said yes and walked away. OVER PRICED! TERRIBLE FOOD! Do your self a favor and skip this restaurant when visiting Key West.

Place was good. Food was expensive and not that great. You can find lot of seafood options. But if you are looking to grab a quick bite and if you really want to have some tastier food, i would recommend trying in the downtown Duval street area which is just 5-10 min away

My wife and I were so excited to try this place. Unfortunately, we were so disappointed with the food. It had no flavor and I feel we deserved a better meal for the price we paid. We got the peel and eat pink shrimp and the coconut shrimp for appetizers and then got the grilled fish with steak and mashed potatoes chef special. The fish had absolutely no flavor. The steak was overcooked and flavorless. I think the only thing my wife enjoyed eating was the mashed potatoes. I definitely do not recommend this place.

Wonderful restaurant worth a different spot and seafood and the celebrated crab legs can not miss it

Just wonderful! The atmosphere was beautiful, the staff was friendly and the food was fantastic! Great experience.

I visited for a trip, once I left they charged double of what I spent in the restaurant. Twice ! And they never picked up the phone. Food was trash and on top of that their staff does card fraud.

3 stars at best. The outdoor dining was nice and server was very attentive, otherwise would have been 1 star.
Ordered The Big Heat Tower and 2 iced teas. Key word there-Heat. Most of it was luke warm. The lobster tail and stone crab claws were good. Fish may have been better, had it been warm. Cool calamari was a no go, and the snow crab legs was like a steak house buffet quality-both were left on the plate. For the price, $166 with tip, quality was not there and I recommend spending elsewhere. Would I try this place again, maybe-but would not order the Big heat tower.

Super place ... price is worth it. Local guides need to travel the world ... La boqueria seafood market in Barcelona has 10 oysters for 20 Euros ! The food is great so has 5 stars! Stoned Crab has great seafood and awesome location! Highly recommended

Took to long to get the food. The corn in the steamer pot could have been more fresh. Overall decent fish and shrimp, but the crab did not taste fresh. Crab tasted like it had been frozen for a long time and not a fresh taste. Not worth the top dollar price for stuff the claim is very fresh. You should get what you pay for right?

Don t waste your money ! Very overpriced and food is terrible !!! Beer was warm, very low quality. We walked in because the restaurant looked super inviting, fun and cozy. Don t let that fool you !

Mediocre at best.. small portion for the price. Grilled pink were very small. Not the experience i expected.
But the staff were very nice.

Between last night and this morning the service here is quite lacking for the prices you pay.
We we are staying at the hotel here. Unfortunately last night we chose to eat here the server was quite knowledgeable about what was on the menu, but not very knowledgeable about how food should be prepared.
I like the idea of what he said about three handed fresh fish. It touches the hand of the person who caught it. It touches the hand of the person who prepared it. Then mine is the third hand.
Unfortunately the one who prepared it didn't do a very good job last night. I ordered the fish special blackened. My experience of eating blackened fish in several places around Florida that was not it. A steamed dry piece of fish that was completely white on one side with no seasoning no grill marks ( I wish I'd taken a picture). To have a small amount of seasoning on one side of a fish wrapped in a leaf from some type of a plant to me is not black it. I asked her mail server about it and he said oh no that's the way it's supposed to be would you like me to have them black in it more? I'm not sure how you can blackened fish more after it's already been cooked and is already dried out.
After that comment I realize that this server was not going to listen to much I asked about.
The conch fritters we had were dry, and the stuffed breaded shrimp lacked flavor.
We came here this morning for breakfast because that's where the restaurant send you I'll comment on the restaurants page about their continental breakfast. My girlfriend wanted eggs cuz there was nothing on the menu that didn't have carbs in it. She stays the cheese was good multiple types of cheese to pick from but the eggs were a little dry overcooked for scrambled. As the morning staff was rushing around getting ready for the day when we asked about anything we were told it's over there in a bit of a Curt attitude pointing towards the continental breakfast table. Get your own water get your own coffee basic attitude of don't bother me. But I gave the waitress $100 bill to pay for breakfast bit of an attitude as she went to look for change.
Our meal last night was $178 for 4 people.
I don't mind paying $178 for 4 people to eat but it should have more flavor a better presentation we're not New York city so the servers really shouldn't have that much of an attitude I mean come on this is Key West enjoy Where You Are.
