Almost serving more tables than they can handle.

Great atmosphere, nice fire place, in the cooler weather they provide blankets to sit out side. Great place for a snack, a drink or full meal. Really good service and the staff are very nice.
Disappointed with the roast of day. Most of it was delicious, but the small amount of beef and the fact it had a lot of fat on it was a turn off.
A nice lunch and beer and lovely and warm because it was freezing outside. Free Wi-Fi.
The Stirling Hotel is so disappointing.
Took overseas relatives for dinner in the dining waiter service area and the so called service was woeful. Staff forgetting what we had ordered, some menu items unavailable, food very expensive for the very average quality. Not to mention the ridiculous price of drinks. Ordered an Aperol Spritzer & charged $20 for the worst Aperol Spritzer I have ever tasted. Staff have no clue how to make this very basic simple drink. Oh by the way they referred to it as being a cocktail when we queried the exorbitant price! Relative asked for a drink that consisted of 2 spirits & a mixer & was charged $30 for a similar experience as my Aperol Spritzer! Bar staff need some training in mixing drinks & pricing in relevance & not just what they reckon!! Staff unfortunately appear not to be too serious about their jobs & spend too much time bantering with one another instead of providing customer service. We will definitely not be returning to the Stirling Hotel for dinner or drinks & sadly will not be recommending it to anyone as a great food and/or drinks venue.
Only good about the Stirling Hotel is it s location & I guess that s what those unaware of the pitfalls are paying for!
Nice atmosphere
Great staff
With the wood oven pizzas you will be struggling to see much topping on it. Was very dissatisfied with the lamb pizza. Complete flop. It's a nice looking place but the pizza was no good
Outstanding service. Josh in the gin bar went above and beyond giving us a great experience.
Excellent food and great warm venue for a wintery day.
Nice atmosphere with a chocie of secluded restaurant area, traditional pub space complete with pool table, casual dining bistro, comfy lounge area complete with gas fireplace, and pizza bar area. There is also a nice undercover deck area.
So far I've tasted the nachos and most of the pizza menu and all have been delicious!
Fantastic atmosphere and food.
Great location for ever the occasion.
All staff are friendly, knowledgable and personable. The food is amazing whether it be for a casual bite to eat, evening meal or function. Would highly recommend!
I went to the hotel when there was a $15 pizza night. At the start there were 30-40 people lining up for portions of 4-5 pizzas that had a sparse amount of topping. There was a considerable wait time. It took a long time before they cooked enough pizzas to keep up with the demand. Near the end of the serving time the quality of the pizzas had improved. More variety and a lot more topping. If I was planning on returning I would go later in the evening as the pizzas were far better. I would have thought that when they sold the 30 -40 tickets they would have known the potential demand. The sparkling wine was very expensive.
Great spot to hang out with friends. The food was delicious!
One fine establishment with a lot of class. Serves great food late into the evening.
Went for dinner on a Saturday night. Firstly don't expect to have a conversation. Unfortunately the live music and crowds create an environment louder than a fright train in a tunnel. Secondly. The meals are mediocre. I personally had the mussels, which tasted more like a pea and ham soup due to saturation with ham hock. Too much emphasis is placed on unusual meal pairing rather than with what actually works. The steak is the exception.
We came for drinks and lunch. The staff was nice but I wish there was an early lunch option.
Excellent food and friendly staff, great selection of wine & craft beers!
Scrumptious food. Going back next Tuesday to try another dish.
We stopped here for a quick bite to eat and a drink after visiting Harndorf and it was a great end to a just as great day. The place was lovely but not loud and crowded for a Sunday afternoon so could still carry on conversation without the overbearing music you get at some places. I've been here a few times before and always enjoyed it, the meals are a decent price and drinks are too.
The hotel was split into too many different areas and not labelled, food and drinks were good just a confusing without staff support
We used to live next door to the Stirling Hotel and loved the variety & quality of food & drinks that it offers. Whenever we return to SA we always meet up with friends here :)
Food was fantastic. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Matthew especially. The room was well over what I expected with a fab free standing bath in the seperate bathroom. The breakfast was 10/10. This place def exceeded my expectations and it s a place I will be coming back to enjoy. It ticked all the boxes for my hard arsed partner which is def a one off
Great place to stop for lunch, friendly staff and good service, good menu, excellent seniors menu and good ambience.
Great hills pub, plenty of options for a quick bar meal to formal dining. Great for a day out or just a sneaky drink or two.
A lovely place to eat and is easily accessible to shops and the monthly market. Stirling ISA beautiful place to visit.
Still the best place by far.if i could give 6 stars this place would have it. Thank you to all the staff
Awesome spot for coffee and breakfast. Friendly staff, great food and a beautiful place to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere.
Average food and so loud you have to tell at each other to have a conversation
This joint is amazing. The reno work has done wonders and it looks great now. Staff are great. Beer selection is pretty decent for an Adelaide Hills pub and the food is fantastic. Prices reflect the quality, which aren t unreasonable. There s so many places you can sit now and with the mix of bistro, restaurant, gin corner, pizza area and the formal function rooms, it s a perfect venue for so many different events. Good work guys.
Great service great food beautiful setting recommend
Amazing hotel. Luxurious rooms. Good service. And most of all excellent location in the highlands.
Excellent service and good food. Pricey and can be crowded and quite noisy during peak periods.
Great place for lunch, doggie friendly, bit noisy inside, well renovated, can be busy.
Wasn't great unfortunately not like previous visits, massive queue to get food ordered, music was too loud so we had to shout at each other And the food came out at totally different times so we had a nice family meal out alone pretty much, plus my 12 year Olds cheese burger (slider) wouldn't have filled my 8 yr old!! All got home and had something to eat :(
Had a meal and it would have been the most average I've had in a while. I'm pretty sure the salt and pepper squid was from the freezer section of a supermarket and what was meant to be baramundi...was overcooked blobs of what was supposed to be fish?
We love(d) the place! But really, $12 for a pint of Heineken? Why so much? My partner and I ordered a chicken schnitzel on Saturday (15/12) for lunch. So thin! Why try and rip us off? The cook has obviously sliced three schnitzels from one $5 chicken breast and then deep fried it until it was dry and tasteless like jerky. $22, and the cook thought a great idea to put cream in the gravy? I mentioned this when asked but was basically ignored. Sorry, not for us, meals have dropped off and the prices are now ridiculous as well. Not a fan of the continual passive cigarette smoke drifting in either. Good service, good atmosphere and friendly staff however time for us to search for a new regular.
Was here for breakfast, the toast was fresh, eggs cooked perfectly and the Halloumi was excellent
Great atmosphere inside, especially at the front bar by the fire. They have a good beer and cocktail selection specialising in gin.
Food was good and wait staff polite. What really needs work on is the kitchen staff/chef and their coordination. Once our orders were taken we waited nearly an hour for our food. Ended up asking where it was and ten minutes later it magically arrived.
I noticed a number of other tables were waiting and checking watches.
Great hills intitution. Vibrant and alive, a lithle noisey and tricky to get seated in busy times, but a great pub if your in the location and looking for a feed.
Really nice venue. Staff are great and the food is pretty damn good! Multiple spaces both inside and outside for a change of atmosphere.
Main kitchen being renovated not a great choice on bistro menu
Fantastic meals, a little slow on the service however they were extremely busy in the Bistro. Decor is very well presented and ambience is excellent. Had a great experience overall.
Had breakfast here on Saturday. Lovely food and lovely environment
Great food, brilliant atmosphere and lovely live music
Service was great. Food was delicious except fot the squid which was part of the baramundi meal. It was like leather. I spoke to the waiter and did not receive a comment from the chef. The fish was delicious but most likely wouldnt order it again due to the leather squid. Also very small wine list. Not many options.
We had lunch there yesterday, and the food was amazing. I am a vegetarian so the chef a vegetable gnocchi specifically for me. I was delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. Thank you!
The atmosphere is great there. The food was surprisingly good and would definitely recommend a visit there. Great wine selection too.
Really really great food! Just took a bit longer during the lunch time rush hour.
Food was very enjoyable, staff were nice. Great venue.
Recently updated and refurbished.
Beautiful. Large drinks selections. Only tried the pizza and it was great.
Will go back when next in the area
Very average - far too noisy to enjoy a conversation and the food was terribly greasy
A good hotel to go to on a hot night being a little cooler up there. And my favourite town..
Good place, free flow pizza is great. Although I would like to see more of the pizzas listed on the menu being made.
Cosy, great for a few drinks. Outdoor seating area has heaters and trees with fairylights in them
Nice comfortable place to sit and eat and have conversations with friends
Nice and cozy! I absolutely love the open fire place on the outside decking! Great food and fast service.
