Didn't have a great experience here: 1) each floor of the building is very small, so all room doors are close together and near the elevator. I was woken up by every other person opening and closing their door, or talking while waiting for the elevator. 2) they left the window to my room open before I arrived. Room was freezing cold. I was not able to close the window myself, so had to wait while the sent someone with a ladder. 3) Light switch did not work when I arrived, so I was in a dark, cold room. 4) No where did it say which number to dial to contact reception. 5) Room thermostat / temperature control didn't work. Room got way too hot during the night, even though the temp was set correctly. 6) No appology for all of the above, just "that's a first"

We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Great location super close to hip and busy Easy Village. We had a king corner room which was really nice. Didn't ask the staff for much but very friendly. Restaurant has a vegan tofu scramble and eggs are good too.

Experience was good. Rooms were clean but less spacious. But could have been better if the improve room service. Water bottles are super costly and not even included during checkin also. At least kettle should be present during winter stay as its pretty cold in winter. Hot water is served after long time once asked.

I've gone to the Standard a bunch of times using the One Night Standard app booking system. Really convenient way to find a last-minute place in the city-- and a really awesome one at that.

If you're looking for a trendy, non-stop spot, then this is the place for you. It's a bit light on amenities and luxury. Our room was comfortable, but not very spacious. The view was the main feature. The beds are comfortable, but have unique linens. They're outfitted with a pillow top that is separate from the mattress itself. The pillow top can get separated and scrunched up under you. The hotel lacks a lobby to lounge or work in, and there is no gym or pool. Given the price, I would have preferred these amenities to the red lighting and mirrors everywhere. Probably won't stay here again.

Bathrooms are an adventure down a long and windy corridor. The hotel is surrounded by three distinct restaurant spaces. I've eaten in all three and enjoy them all for various occasions. Have not stayed overnight. Friendly and helpful staff

My favorite place to stay in the city. Easy access to all parts of town. Love the area - groceries and wine shop close by on St Marks. Bar and restaurant in the hotel are both great. Plus cozy beds in a fairly quiet area makes for a wonderful nights sleep.

The room was spotless. Great views of the street below, but not really much view of the city (was in the middleish on the 4th floor). Excellent service, and got a free upgrade to a suite as well. Fully stocked minibar, but beware, most items are VERY expensive of course. The Cafe bar below is incredible, and the bar next door was great too. Overall highly recommend it, just remember you're still in NYC so the rooms will be small compared to say, a Marriott upstate or something. If you can, try waiting til day of to book your room. It's very risky obviously, but the rate is much cheaper. Or try getting that free upgrade! :)

The Standard is trendy without being pretentious. Let's say it's up to date and offers delicious meals and novel dining options. Sitting in a heated tent-like fixture while wearing complimentary fur coats was the highlight of my day. The Standard makes you feel good, and is total worth a try

Very intimate place with well thought out designs. I just took a trip to the bathroom and i was in awe. The designer definitely had the guest in mind. As for the service, ill also give and A +. Not a place for people who don't like others around them having fun lol

The hotel is very raunchy in terms of theme, but it was nice. We did run into some issues (the shower leaked all over the floor and into the room and the curtains wouldn't close all the way) but they sent people to fix it quickly. Paige was an excellent hostess.

The only good thing about it is the people watching..otherwise they took forever to ask me if I wanted coffee. They took forever to bring a croissant which for the wait time you'd think it was warm and fluffy (NOT)..it was cold and hard...then they charged me 3x my tab by mistake...

Narcissa was a great restaurant, with an enjoyable ambience. It was not too loud but definitely had good energy. The food was also delicious. The tables are extremely close together, and you will sit about 12 inches from your neighbor

I attended a concert here and had a wonderful time. The concert was held on the top floor inside their penthouse. The views were simply magical, the staff was incredibly friendly and the bar had a great selection. In addition, I found the bartender to be pretty cool and made really good cocktails. I would totally come watch another concert here.

There is no lobby, only a cafe, so you will need to order something if you want to sit downstairs. "Upgraded" to a larger room with no view (only the wall of another building) and was not available at the check in time specified (3:00). Staff was very friendly though. Location was also great, and the showers were great. I'd give 3.5 stars.

This hotel is a must if you are planning a stay in Manhattan. I actually booked a room for the night of my surprise proposal to my girlfriend. I called the hotel ahead of time to set up plans for champagne in the room and was immediately upgraded by the hotel. This hotel is very urban and trendy and the staff here are absolutely amazing. I will recommend it to anyone and will stay here again on my next visit.

I really want to make this place my goto staycay, ...

I really want to make this place my goto staycay, the bed was super comfortable, very clean with a great view and i didn t hear noise from other guests on my floor the anxiety of booking yourself into a covid party trap is real from what I ve seen in reviews of other hotels. The only thing that left me with a bad taste was the near $40 in taxes and fees i was charged upon checking out which was not mentioned in anyway during check out or on the app i booked it on. (I only found out when i checked my email the next day to see an invoice that they had charged me.)
The app i booked the reservation on does say hotel may charge taxes and fees unlike most of the other hotels on the app that list extra fees when there are this one did not list any at all. I already paid $50 in taxes and fees upon booking I m not sure why i was charged again upon check out without notice or explanation.

Upon looking at my transactions on my credit card i have the amount of the booking on hotel tonight charged, But then another $150 and also $9?

Called up the front desk for more information, $150 was a pre charge in case of damage and refund on check-in according to them this charge was reversed already (i am waiting for this refund to be reflected on my card) as for the $9 it was for something from the minibar which don t get me wrong if i grab anything from id of course expect to pay but i did not and they will be reversing that charge. So this leaves the confusion of the invoice i was sent for a facilities fee of $30 with 4 different fees and taxes onto comes to $37.93 of that now this was also not made aware to me, which makes me curious what the $50 in taxes fees i paid on the initial booking was for, I had known i would be charged an extra fee for a roof that closed at 10 and water i would have used them. I suppose I m a hotel newbie in that respect but i did expect these extra charges to be made aware to me ether at check in or via email or listed on the booking app It feels unethical and disingenuous.
