If you can get a corner room with ceiling to floor...

If you can get a corner room with ceiling to floor windows, do it, it's absolutely worth it. Location was right next to fun bars and restaurants. The hotel itself has it's own bar and restaurant. Very young and fun vibes. Daily fresh baked breads. We had to ask for new comforters as ours weren't comfortable, they changed them right away and offered us a gift from the hotel. Room services was very responsive and fast. Only thing is the first night the A/C kept runnning non stop and is very loud, so you have to shut it off yourself.

Super cozy and thought through backyard that totally feels like an escape from the city! They had heaters above each table so we could enjoy spending the evening sitting outside. Each table was set far enough apart for the experience to feel intimate and special.

I ll definitely come back here.

Great small cozy hotel but charge a premium for a visit here. Prices for this hotel is expensive. Like other hotels it has free wifi. It is kids friendly but I suggest going to the ace hotel if you have kids. Staffs are nice, friendly, professional and personal. Rooms are super clean and luxuries. Overall great hotel but not if your on a budget.

Had a great time for a work event and spent much of it at the penthouse. There was a bespoke signature drink that was similar to a Moscow mule and I enjoyed it very much. The staff was very polite and friendly and the service was great. They also served food buffet style and had appetizers being brought around and all were delicious ranging from spring rolls to ariancini. Would definitely recommend. The view from the balcony was wonderful.

I stayed here for a work trip. The room was good, but the service was very subpar. The first night I was here, I tried to order room service and the line just kept ringing forever. After a few attempts, I had to call the front desk, who transferred me back to that same line that rang forever. I called the front desk again and they took my order. Then, I eventually got a call from the room service line to confirm my order. The whole process took far too long.

On a Sunday night, the hotel had an extremely loud concert going on in their penthouse that was so loud that the booming music could be heard at least 10 floors down from the penthouse. I had work in the morning (that's the whole reason I was in this hotel!) and I question the judgement of the hotel to hold such a loud concert on a work night.

The free WiFi was unusably slow, and they charge around $20 to upgrade the WiFi to a usable speed.

We recently hosted a cocktail party at the Standard Hotel penthouse on the night before my daughter s wedding. The event was fabulous; the penthouse ambience was terrific- it s all about the spectacular panoramic views! The hors d oeurves selected from a menu of small bites drawn up by Narcissa s chef were light, yet perfect for the bitterly cold evening. (Think mini-grilled cheese and tomato soup shots.) Working with Kira Allen, the Standard s Events Manager, to plan the party was easy. She was responsive to our requests and creative about meeting our budget requirements without compromising our guests experience.

We also booked a block of rooms for our wedding guests who raved about the courteous service at the hotel as well as their dining experiences at Narcissa and the cafe. The suite in which my daughter and her friends got ready for the wedding was comfortable with stunning floor to ceiling views affording great light. Extra mirrors were brought in for our use, and complimentary champagne set the mood for the excitement of the day. I commend the Standard East Village staff for doing a fabulous job accommodating our bridal party and all of our guests throughout this phenomenal wedding weekend.

Usually stay in the Tribeca location, but decided to try out the EV location for a spontaneous stay-cation.

Staff was extremely helpful and even upgraded me into a suite, given that I'm a local resident and have stayed at the Standard a few times previously. It's a different vibe than the Tribeca location and a little smaller, but no less lovely. The corner rooms have stunning views and the location is prime.

Very friendly staff at a convenient location! We slept very well on the mattresses, plenty of space in the closet and bathroom. Within walking distance of Astor Station and all the restaurants & bars of East Village, they also have their own cafe, bar, and restaurant! I really enjoyed the Nori Bread Roll, it was something I d never seen and the flavor was very clear. The Gouda cheese ice cream that comes with the apple pie also comes through on flavor!
Plus, the french fries are great at the bar.

Summary: Don't Go to The Grill

Summary: Don't Go to The Grill
As a former employee, the food there was amazing. Then they try to switch it. 3 managers quit and GM left, even the head chef.
Customers constantly complain of the new menu.
Also, new managers are micromanagers and don't respect employees. Don't waste your money on the overpriced food, and help your servers by telling how bad management truly is!
Do go to LeBain though

Went there late night last night February 4, 2019. When I got in, no one was there in the front desk. Maybe he was playing his phone or taking a nap behind the front desk(?) I don t know.

So I waited for awhile, a blond short guy finally came out with his attitude , and the whole time, he had been giving me the same attitude with the poker face no matter what I asked.

Im not sure if he s racist?? Or just didn t wanna work?? Or maybe he was thinking he s gonna get paid anyway even if s no clients??

Im gonna try to make this review as much as I can, I want people to see this review and not to go there, because of this racist blonde guy.

I am very disappointed. My boyfriend and I had stayed here for Valentine s Day, and since I booked a room months in advance, I expected much more than we got. A little about us: I m 23 and my boyfriend is 24. I originally booked a Deluxe King, but then decided to upgrade to a Corner King. When we entered our room, the carpet was stained, the windows were filthy, we could barely move the curtains, the sink was dirty, I could go on and on. We decided to tell the staff, and the best they could do was send someone up to clean the room. I didn t notice any changes. When I originally booked the room, I both called and submitted a written request for a bottle of champagne to be ready for us upon arrival with a note for my boyfriend. The champagne was in the fridge, no note. No coffee maker, either, I might add. These details really matter if you claim to be a 4 star hotel. I ve stayed at Double Trees better than this.

This place looks like it was designed by a frat bro who took one design class in college and decided to get daddy to buy him a hotel.

The location is good and I really like the neighborhood. Plenty of great restaurants and things to see.

I will not be staying here or at any Standard ever again.

This is certainly not a good value for money hotel but the problem is that even though it's really expencive it's is still quite mediocre.

The good:
-Location.
-Friedndly staff and good service.

The not-so-good:
-Rooms are very noisy but it's not coming from the city but from the air condition and the mini bar. The mini bar you can just pull the cord to but there's no escaping the air condition.
-The bed was quite worn down.
-If you want fast Wi-Fi they they will charge you anoyther 20USD on top of the already pricy room, which doesn't even include breakfast.
