Great little alternative style place with a very welcomeing vibe. Covid regulations made us feel safe and looked after also.
Food was lovely and the cocktails were even better. Very fresh and different.
Awesome burger place and the fries are the best!

Get in there hands and all! Not your average eating place that's for sure. Excellent and imaginative meals in a very relaxed atmosphere.

Served on metal trays, you are encouraged to be as messy as you need to be with rolls of paper towel handy on each table! Finally a place that 'gets me' when it comes to true enjoyment of my burgers.

Keep an ear out for their specials as you may get a non menu item or two.

Food was reasonably priced and most satisfying. A hip ambience with decor almost somewhere between old British pub and American road house theme. Hard to describe accurately but a fun place to dine, creative menu and really friendly staff.

Nice place, suitable for a young clientele. The staff was very courteous and helpful in recommending and explaining the menu. Very good food. Good variety of dishes (I recommend those based on beef) and beers.

Really unusual, unique cocktails. Unfortunately, we went in at a busy time and did feel slightly we were getting in the way as we had to move around a few times as people had reserved tables.

Three stars...... So atmosphere was great, busy vibrant pub/bar/club. Decor was unusual to say the least. Food.... Hmmm the food was tasty, plenty of it.... But served on plastic trays with no cutlery, so sharing a tray between two people wasn't good. Nothing on Draught, but plenty of cocktail choices (not cheap). Overall as a person in there early forties I was certainly not there demographic customer. First time I felt old haha. If your twenty five and under you will have a fantastic time no doubt.

We went to Scotland for our Honeymoon and spent 10 days exploring the country. We stayed close to downtown Edinburgh and we Googled places to eat and this came up. Right when you walk in the atmosphere is great. It's sort of a basement, I believe we walked down some stairs to get into the building. The waitress we had was really nice and she answered all of our questions we had. If we ever get back to Edinburgh I'd go here again.

First time visiting this restaurant and we had great time!
Food was delicious, such as the cocktails.
Many options to choose from, even bun less burgers for more healthy option. They have gluten free as well.
Staff is really friendly and helpful.
We had 3 different burgers, 1 beef, 1 chicken (bunless) and a philly cheese stake. All of them were amazing!
They also have a chilli burger challenge, which I definitely will take it in the future.

Great time, going back again soon!

Food was OK but nothing too special, onion rings were underdone, but homemade ones can be tricky. My only major issues were A: the music was almost nightclub loud, making it difficult to have a conversation without shouting and B our bill when presented to us was double what we had expected and then had to wait 15 minutes for our server(s) - we had 3 different people for some strange reason - to figure out what had gone wrong and how to correct it. Apart from that it was OK, I will probably try again at a quieter time of day and see if that makes a difference

Had an amazing burger here full of flavour and piping hot! I had a go at some cocktails and the waitress made a suggestion and it didn't disappoint! Can't comment on desert as I was too full! Will def be back next time in Edinburgh!

To be fair the food is good and portions are generous. However, I ordered a Holy Cow burger priced at 10.95 and when I was given the cheque I saw it was 12.95!! I asked the waitress and she said that the menu has some mistypes and the correct price was the latter!

First of all I don't buy the excuse. It's a lie. There are no mistypes, you just arbitrarily charge people more. If that was the case you would either correct it (should't take more than 2 minutes) or inform people when they order the mispriced items.

The waitress seemed like she was given a line to say every time someone would ask about it. It's not her fault obviously but the management's.

I don't even know why I even paid the extra.

Good vibe, good music. Some staff really good, others obviously didn't want to be there. There were some drinks sat on the bar for ages waiting to be delivered. Their screaming out of order numbers was annoying... they need to find a better way.

If you're prepared to get stuck in (cutlery is scarce but each table has its own roll of kitchen towel), then this a great place for decent burgers and sides. Nice menu and good service. Would recommend.

Whilst waiting over 15 mins to be served (not acknowledged), it was unpleasant to hear the big guy (baseball cap, short hair, stubley beard and built by steroids) discussing his colleague Scott with the waitress with the top-knot (long brown hair).
They discussed in ear shot of the bar how much they hated working with him, how incompetent and slow he was and that he was an embarrassment. The guy discussed how his friend worked with Scott in Nandos and that he was the sake there.
The bar was a disgrace - full of empties and unwashed glasses. No organisation.
I felt sorry for Scott and reflected in how disgusting and unprofessional this was (10 mins ago - around 9.15pm).
They laughed callously and acted in a very carefree/bullying way.
Awful to see and hear. Perhaps better staff are required in here. Won't be back.

Went for a bite to eat after work with a few colleagues, the wait staff were excellent. Good relaxed atmosphere, food was excellent, and the boozy milkshakes were extremely tasty.

Our waitress had excellent banter, blending with the atmosphere of the group, (to the extent of even making a couple of jibs about our friend terrible choice of shirt, and she was right he looked moronic).

She also helped with the best things to order and we ended up with an excellent meal. Reasonably priced for the centre of town, and the quality of the food.

If burgers and fries with chilli and cheese are your thing, you can't go wrong with a Boozy Cow

Cool decor, great burgers and a fantastic selection of drinks means The Boozy Cow is orders of magnitude better than the previous establishment in this location. I will definitely be returning to sample more from their menu.
