This place is like a tropical Paradise.I highly recommend it.The service was exceptional and the room was very spacious with two 55 inch tvs;one in the living room area and also the bedroom. The room service and bar were spot on. Really enjoyed the tropical birds consisting of parrots and macaws.A special shout out to the birds handler who put on a great show with the talking birds.

The catamaran is a beautiful resort! The lush landscaping (inside the hotel and on the grounds) was incredible. Special added features such as the exotic birds, attachment to the bay, nightly boat rides, on premise coffee shop and pool were impeccable. It is also an extremely short walk from the beach, where many restaurants and stores can be found. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel rooms could use a bit of an update, however it did not affect the overall experience of the trip. All rooms have at least a small balcony. Depending on the side of the resort, you will either have a beach or bay view.

Beautiful resort with wonderful landscaping including a koi pond. They have a pool and plenty of other activities, such as hula lessons or making a lei. There is a bar with mostly outdoor seating, and beach rentals.

The free breakfast is a joke. They don't tell you that a free hot breakfast is only coffee and a parfait. If you choose eggs and bacon, they charge 16.00. My sister's and I had 2 vouchers for a free breakfast every day of our 6 day trip. Since we were a party of 3 we knew one of us would have to pay. Well how shocked and appalled were we when our 2 free and one paid breakfast cost us more than $70.00.Do not waste your money at this sorry place. It is badly in need of update. I'm also writting directly the CEO.

Great!

Beautiful resort we honeymooned there..first I was like ok it's nice the staff was friendly but while waiting for our room we thought we'd have a cocktail before we went to our room (still in my wedding gown and him in his tux) we got ignored...had to almost beg for service...then when we reached our room I was mad as hell
It smelled musky...but after I sprayed the room down with Cologne it wasen't so bad.
Then we unpacked , open the curtains to see the bay and I'm face to face with a toddler. We could NOT enjoy our room due to all there freaking toys scattered out side our room.
Could NOT enjoy our lounge chairs because
Our lovely neighbors hung there kids wet towels on them..So we stayed away from our room as much as possible...(just to have intimacy) we had to blast the raido because if I could hear them I felt they could hear us ..yikes !! Way weird right...after all we shared a door that was connected to their room.
Yikes again....it felt like I was watching the door the whole time....and on top of that we left our room to find something to eat because they offer typical hotel 6 food
We left a DO NOT DISTURB SIGN...right....
Well my husband left all kind of things lying around including my lingerie and toys ...and the house keeping decided to come in any way and move them ...Grose!!! I was so freaking upset I threw them all away...
So NO SEXY HONEYMOON THAT NIGHT...
total of that throw away cost over 300.00
Besides the cost of the over priced hotel...my advice ...Do your research before booking there....I WON'T EVER GO BACK....

Rooms are dated but clean and spacious in the tower. Service and response from staff is very fast and polite. Grounds are maintained and tropically lush. Pool are is clean and well maintained. Very family friendly.

Booked a spontaneous trip here with my husband two weeks before we were to go. Amazing pricing. The room was perfect for us two and the hotel is beautifully taken care of. The birds and turtles all over is such a cute sight to see. The beach area is so clean and relaxing. We were able to walk to the ocean and boardwalk in five minutes and enjoy all the food and drinks places offered. We will definitely book this place again. Great staff also!

First thing, the rooms are only ok. They are dated, but they are clean and nice. But the grounds and the location are perfect. You can tell they put a lot of the effort into the resort part of the hotel. The pool and hot tub and really nice and the pool is heated. They have a nice display of wildlife in the resort as well. This is also positioned really well where it is right in the middle and you can head either way and find a great deal. It is also right on the bay and only about a block from the beach.

This is more of a review of their brunch services. I haven't actually stayed at this hotel. But the only reason I'm giving it a 2 is because of our Easter brunch experience. There wasn't a huge selection of food, and for a hotel that presents itself as lavish (at least that is the impression I got), that was kind of odd. It was also extremely weird that in the sea food section, someone thought it was a good idea to have a huge chunk of ice (granted it was sculpted) with giant dead fish all over it. And I didn't appreciate grabbing shrimp and having a huge dead fish head staring at me. Sharp teeth and all. Not too sure who thought that would be a good design idea, but it was extremely weird and not very appetizing at all. The food was also not very good. A lot of it was really bland, and not evenly cooked. Not that the food was cold, but some pieces would be harder due to sitting for a while in the same tray and the rest would be somewhat warm. I'm really only giving stars at all because of the staff. The staff was wonderful, our server was very kind and did a pretty good job staying attentive with our table despite there being a large amount of people. But other than that, I was pretty disappointed. My family and I mutually agreed that we wouldn't be returning.

Overlooks a nice lake in front of the ocean, whoooo talk about some good pictures.

Waking up to this every morning really made my day!

Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful, kid-friendly destination! Every staff member goes out of their way to ensure that you have a great time. There are so many things to do here and even if you never left the resort, you would never find yourself in a state of boredom. I would absolutely come back again.

We had a great experience at Oceana. Met friends for dinner and drinks. We started with the Puget Sound Clam & Mussels appetizer with Chorizo in a saffron broth and it was absolutely delicious. For dinner I had the Sea Bass and my wife had the Scallops. Both were perfectly prepared and very tasty! I really enjoyed the farro with beets served with the sea bass. For dessert, we shared the Warm Skillet Brownie with Ice Cream with some Decaf Coffee to finish of a truly delightful dinner experience.

It is a gorgeous hotel. The center courtyard features beautiful garden with trees walkway. There's waterfall that leads to koi pond. The private beach is great for little ones because the water is calm. Everyone is friendly. Did not get to try their restaurant but the coffee shop is nice. They give you option to self park for $26 per night or valet for $30 per night. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Re-reading the reviews now that we are here. Very confused as we are very disappointed with the quality of the rooms/resort. So very surprised after reading some many 5 stars reviews. We are not that picky, but disappointed with with this choice!

The room was outdated, it wasn t cleaned properly. One day we didn t have hot water. The only plus is the bay and the water sports. The service at the restaurants was in two experiences: First sitting was slightly below average. Second, poor. I d look elsewhere

Family oriented, clean, quiet resort. We used the $25/day parking for our rental car. Nice staff. No "partiers" when we were here although we saw many weddings & business meetings throughout our week. Full kitchen was great (requested baking pan as only stove top pans were in the room). Ralph's grocery store down the street has reasonable prices & selection (similar to a Beyerly's in MN). Highly recommended resort. Ask for beach view room in the tower of... We were on the 10th floor & could see Mission Bay & the Pacific from our balcony.

I loved the five young women obviously from out of town who rode on the silly boat ride at the moment they obviously realized the boat was filled with old guys and mom's dad's trying to recapture their youth though less than athletic dancing. Combination of boredom and refusal to blame one another because they are friends. And sorrow for the worst dj job in the world! Poor guy learned how to mix for this. Wow. "Jobs"

My boyfriend and I came here on our one year anniversary and they went above and beyond to make our anniversary so special! They upgraded our room to be right on mission bay and surprised us with a gift and a handmade card in our room. The resort itself is so beautiful!! The best part was watching the sunrise from our patio but I also really enjoyed the Bahia belle and the ducks!! The room was a bit outdated but very clean and comfortable and I noticed they were updating rooms in the tower while we were there. This resort really cares!!

This is a nice hotel. I repeat hotel. Its not a resort and not worth the $250.00 - $300.00 price tag for the rooms. The rooms are rooms that have been somewhat updated through the years but still lack the items that a true resort hotel has, such as tiled and glass showers, big spa like tubs and recessed lighting.

We won't be back. It is mostly a glorified Holiday Inn Express. The bar and restaurants are wicked expensive. Kids galore. No adult areas for adults to enjoy like a true resort has. Even though you are a paying guest, there may be no room for you at the bar in the warmer months. Watch the hidden happy hour fees. Happy hour is mostly beer only. Our bad.
We would recommend staying at a cheaper place because you basically get the same services except they cost you more here.
Although the grounds are really nice, the price just isn't worth it.

Room 1052...mold in the bathroom...mold in the air conditioner. Wet spots on the floor and water damage above the door. At their "deluxe garden view was a view of the top of the parking garage and the pool off to the left. For $200 a night at a place that markets itself as "four stars" we are pretty upset.

Infrastructure is good, wonderful location but personnel are nice as long as you buy some tour or rent something from them. They just keep nagging you about this;very uncomfortable for this top price rental.

Drinks at the hotel bar were a little pricey, but good nevertheless. Also great to be able to walk around the resort with drinks and look at the beautiful scenery and animals. Location of the hotel on the bayfront is great.

Indoor waterfall that stretches out to a patio filled with patio tables/chairs, and a view of the beach. Ordered a cappuccino and some pudding with alcohol which were both delicious!! A little pricey but definitely worth it. Did i mention the waterfall/pond had live coy fish and playfull ducks in it?!

I went to an event that took place outside the hotel, facing the bay. Providing a spectacular view of the sunset. The food was very good, there were vegetarian options. In general the experience was excellent.

The location of this hotel is ideal; it is situated right next to the beach and all the bars and restaurants. There were some issues however. Noise was a serious problem. When the showers turn on, depending on the temperature of the water, the pipes make an awful noise that is extremely loud. The walls are thin, which doesn't help. The rooms are dated and there aren't enough drawers or flat surfaces to set things on. I have to say, despite these things I really enjoyed my stay because of the location. If I could have stayed in a room without these noise issues it would have made all the difference.

Just checked in and that started with a horrible experience. If the weekend gets any better I will update the rating. Sleeping kid had to be waken up in order for me to get my family check in for "security" purposes.

Beautiful property. Hotel workers did a great job at keeping everything clean and sanitized. This place is very noisy and lots of people partying on their balconies. Sunday and monday were more family oriented. I will not return on a weekend with my kids but during the week absolutely. They also double charged us so it was very inconvenient.
