Jessica Cruz Review of The Spa at The Catamaran Resor...

This is more of a review of their brunch services. I haven't actually stayed at this hotel. But the only reason I'm giving it a 2 is because of our Easter brunch experience. There wasn't a huge selection of food, and for a hotel that presents itself as lavish (at least that is the impression I got), that was kind of odd. It was also extremely weird that in the sea food section, someone thought it was a good idea to have a huge chunk of ice (granted it was sculpted) with giant dead fish all over it. And I didn't appreciate grabbing shrimp and having a huge dead fish head staring at me. Sharp teeth and all. Not too sure who thought that would be a good design idea, but it was extremely weird and not very appetizing at all. The food was also not very good. A lot of it was really bland, and not evenly cooked. Not that the food was cold, but some pieces would be harder due to sitting for a while in the same tray and the rest would be somewhat warm. I'm really only giving stars at all because of the staff. The staff was wonderful, our server was very kind and did a pretty good job staying attentive with our table despite there being a large amount of people. But other than that, I was pretty disappointed. My family and I mutually agreed that we wouldn't be returning.
