I have stayed here three times. Amazing food and good rooms away from the Strip. SPA is on point and pool isn t bad. Highly recommend this casino/hotel/spa
Loved this place. Mix of locals and tourist. Atmosphere is great.
Nice convenient spot off the strip certainly not as drabby as some popular resorts and they have bingo
Great place great prices cheap food great entertainment
Loved our stay. Great room. Nice staff. Gotta have a burger from the Steaks and Shakes.
Clean local casino with tons to do. We live nearby and watch movies and bowl at SP all the time. Cheap entertainment in a good area away from the strip
Despite the GrandView being across the street the Southpoint hotel casino was rather nice. There would be no need to leave the hotel with all the amenities they had to offer. Several dining selections and activities for the whole family; movies and bowling.
Everything under one roof, eat, drink, gamble, bowl, movie theater. It would be great if there was a bowling ball check in at the garage area, long haul with bowling balls.
Great place away from the strip. Good food, casino, hotel.
Love the sports book here quite a few restaurants to choose from and a decent little bingo hall.
Good accommodations. Polite service. Clean and bright. Good tables and all aground satisfied.
Good spot to gamble. A place where the locals go! I definitely like coming here and playing poker, and the tables! Great value and bang for your buck compared to the strip.
The location is very comforting and beautiful. I took my family to eat at the buffet there. The overhead of the river just below is very beautiful and made the experience two times better.
Kind of like an indoor city. This place has pretty much everything inside. Nice rooms, clean all over. Cheap food prices, especially late/early, but name no mistake, it is cheap food. Plenty of other options for rays though as well. Has regular shows, evendone free ones. Full round of gaming. Large variety of slots and video machines. Has most all table games, etc... from what I could tell. Dealers and pit bosses were friendly and helpful. Movie theater, which looks decent. Bowling alley as well from what I understand, but didn't see it first hand. Definitely a one stop kinda place.
Rooms are clean and did not smell like smoke, like some others have. Had to request a room change because the first room was near an elevator that produced a dragon like sound every few minutes. Decent place if you are here for an event. My room did not have a microwave, which would have been nice.
Kool place Great sports book area and plenty of bars
Great food and presentation but the jello tasted like cherry flavored medicine
I wish I can give them double like 10 stars very relaxing comfortable inviting.i am a bowler so Southpoint you are my only game in town keep it up
Had a great time it was just me and my husband vacation /anniversary love it . Good times.
Great prices for food at the cafe. Good service. Lots of choices for gambling.
Great Chinese food at Coronadp cafe long was a bit long
Went for dinner and the sushi was amazing. Then we headed off to BINGO. Fun and excitement with plenty to do for all ages
Did not stay there, just stopped by on the way home back to Cali. Very nice, plenty of slots, good buffett, nice atmosphere, crowded but not as crowded as the hotels on the strip. Nice if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle. Especially if want to get away from the marihuana smell on the strip. You smell it all over the place on the strip. Also, they don't charge for parking. Overall, good experience at the South Point.
We had a great dinner at the buffet and we want some money so yes what a great place what a great experience
Love this hotel and casino. I enjoy staying at this location because it is cleaner, less smokey, and the rooms are always ready when I arrive. Plus they already have some ADA accomodations in the hotel rooms (fridge, safety bars in shower, etc.).
However, someone needs to address the snotty girl at the smoothie counter (dark hair works at night). That smoothie bar lost a customer for life.
Fun place next to Grandview. We always come next door here. Nice restaurants and nice atmosphere here.
Laid back no pressure atmosphere. locals favor this place. Great Bingo prizes because of the volume of players. Food is pretty good.
Lodged here many times in the past good theatre nice buffet & coffee shop great pool too
If had to complain about something, It would be that the place is too big.. They have almost everything under one roof. Not too over priced.
The rooms are fully equipped with kitchen and washer. Great for long Las Vegas trips.
The Hotel was ok.the elevators were malfunctioning.I was injured by the doors closing on Me.The morning of check out the Housekeeper kept accessing our room without permission attempting to rush Us out for checkout.Very uncomfortable and had the audacity to call security after I told her not to come back to Our room again.
Visiting Vegas for the first time to attend a conference and South Point was a nice spot. I won pretty bug, slept pretty well, and ate some okay food. The room is huge and everything is in decent shape.
Hotel rates are reasonable if you plan your stay ahead of time. My kids love it because South Point offers arcade games that are appropriate for kids and not just the Casino attraction for grown ups. You can get good deals even if you are booking your room on the go. Would definitely recommend others for their stay.
We love staying at SouthPoint. Good food, beautiful rooms and lots of amenities.
Great local Casino to hangout and relax. Staff is nice and very friendly. Made some pretty good friendships amongst the locals.
My family and I enjoyed our stay at South Point Hotel and Spa! We enjoyed and relaxed during our spa appointment. The staff were very approachable and welcoming. The rooms were very cozy and relaxing ambiance. The service was exceptional. The food was good and the amenities were very accessible! I highly recommend this hotel!
I felt like a kid in a candy store.soooo much to chose
Not what I expected. The place is huge. And lots of choices for slots
It has gotten over crowded the last couple years and it's not the type of crowd anyone wants. I'm sure the patrons, the staff, and Management are not happy with the loud, falling over drunks, section 8 spending tax payers dollars, and people wondering around bugging you if they can get a dollar from you. Use to love the place, when we lived in Vegas it's where we always went, and over the past five years we have stayed there Everytime during a twice a year vacation. Not any more, finally had enough of it this last trip.
Fun place to see friends and watch team roping !! Never stayed there but go there to watch the NFR live viewing party, they do great job with it !! Good food, giveaways, fun family event.
Kind of a "hidden gem" at least as far as hotel casinos go. I generally end up in Vegas for work or sightseeing other than the strip. If that's the case for you, this is a great spot. Restaurants were good. Rooms were great, seemed recently renovated. Love having a wood style tile in hotel rooms versus stained carpet like other places. Everything was clean and lots of square footage. Clean roomy restroom with nice water pressure. Only downside is having the parking structure on the opposite side of the casino. I understand they want you to walk through the casino and be tempted, but just an unnecessary inconvenience for me. Overall, if you want to avoid the strip this is a solid choice.
Always plenty to do at South Point. Good restaurants, bowling, bingo and a movie. Always clean and well kept. Love the horse and Greyhound betting.
Amazing casino and hotel. Great restaurants and games. Very nice National Rodeo event.
Great place with many food options of different types and prices to choose from. The steak and shake is good but usually has a line especially in the evening. Movie theatre is nice as is the bowling alley.
Nice hotel but a little far from the downtown activity, but this might be some people's cup of tea. Good selection of places to eat and facilities are clean. Rooms are basic and mine lacked a bar frige.
I go here all of the time with my family for bowling, movies, and eating out it is all around fun.
Overall experience is fine except of room cleanliness. When we checked in we noticed a big dead insect on the floor, plastic knife, and ... someone's fingernails... that is disgusting... I asked receptionist for an additional room service. Guess what, the room was cleaned, except for clipped fingernails.. I asked second time, and nothing happened again... Then I had to call housekeeper myself for the third time so they can finally clean it... I would not write it if they would clean it for the first time, but three times is too much.
Rooms had hard wood floors. For a comfort room you want to have carpet.
On the Shower: Water never got hot enough and the shower head felt like a light rain. It took forever to rinse off. The small things actually make a huge difference. Won't stay again because of the cheapness of the bathroom and hard wood floors in the room. Had to wear socks to walk around the hotel room. But other than that food is good here.
So the room was very nice and clean. The low rating comes from the fact that we didn't have any cold water in our room, none at all. We arrived tired and wanting a shower but all we had was scalding hot water. I called the front desk and the timely response from the maintenance worker was awesome, the treatment from the front desk however was not. It was almost 2am by the time the maintenance worker told us it could not be fixed at that time so he requested that we be moved to another room. I heard him ask the desk that our room be "comped". At "checkout" in the morning, the employee at the desk told me otherwise. She said that by changing our room at 2am was compensation enough and no other compensation would be offered. I/we personally don't think that finally being "allowed" to take our showers at 2:30am is or was reasonable. We will NEVER start there again and we will not recommend this establishment to anyone. On the contrary, we will steer friends and family away.
One of the best casino ever.Great professional employees friendly and nice great food with great entertainment.what more can you ask
Didnt have to leave the hotel for our bowling tournament.
Went to get drinks and gamble with some friends in from out of town. The dealers were patient with my friends who hadn't gambled before. Great times were had by all.
Beautiful hotel and casino. There is lot to do. Professional staff and exceptional customer service!!! We will be here again and again.
Great rooms, clean and spacious. Wish casino didn't stink so bad of cigarettes but I guess that's Vegas. If you are looking for a more family friendly place away from the main strip stay here.
Casino host Roxanne Kraemer is extremely attentive and professional always willing to assist.
I love the sunshine that comes inside the gambling hall. It really is a neat vibe. Very busy there lately.
The Silverado restaurant is great. Amazing food. Not a huge fan of casinos, especially this one, but dinner was great.
Love going to the movie theater. Staff always friendly
Great place to stay. Has all games, Movie theater and bowling.
Clean rooms. Nice location that is little bit south of the main strip. We traveled with few young kids and the location was great. Big pool and plenty of family oriented entertainment. Close enough to get to the main strip.
Very nice, just walked through. Put name on poker list, but line was too long. Would like to go back.
Went for breakfast..found the. BUffet open..score!! Great tasting
Perfect priced tables and atmosphere like the Strip. LOOSE Slots galore!
It clean and easy to look for Restroom and room to walk around .many slot machines to play.restaurant . choice of food.
We had a nice room a good meal and enjoyed the games
Love southpoint .great race and sports book.great prime rib place when open. Love coffee shop also
.great coffee place but needs to open at 5 am wonderful staff. Spotless rooms.
The steak house has 5 star food and the service is impeccable. A hidden gem.
Love SP! We always stay across the street at The Grand View. But waste all our money there. Closest thing to going to Freemont street and old Vegas expensive. 5 dollar tables and plenty of service people bring you drinks! Best wishes and luck to you all.
I met a friend to eat dinner at Steak and Shake. The service was good and the food was delicious. One of our favorite places to meet up!
First off. It's a city in it self. Beautiful and extra clean. My housekeeper was amazing. No madness in the whole casino. Food was great. Off the chart.
Playing slot machines very tight, wastes your time here. Food is not bad. At least it has seafood Friday and Saturday.
Have gambled here before and enjoyed it. This time I was in an RV and learned they are not RV friendly. Didn't even get out of the RV and was stopped. Security tried to be helpful directing me to the RV and Truck parking. However, made sure they told me I could not stay in the RV because they dont have a "license" for that. I call BS on that one, lol! I will never give 5 stars to casinos who are not RV friendly and train there staff to lie about some mythical license. It's not like I have junk. My RV is very nice. I stayed friendly and just left never to return or reccommend. Being so far away from the action is Vegas I really think you should change your policy. Probably don't need more customers. This is just my honesty.
Nice hotel has a great ice cream and smoothie place. I was there for a photo booth show ,my wife is in the business. So I was just kicking back while she worked . Lots of stuff to do . I recommend this place .
Stopped by to see what South Point had to offer. Nice and clean. Lots of games and food choices.
This hotel is very cool. They not only have a huge casino, they have an arena for horse-related events like barrel racing and rodeo-style events. They have a huge bowling alley and really nice rooms. It's way off the strip which is fine with me. The 2 restaurants we ate in were good. Service was good and food was ok. The buffet was huge and fairly priced. I'll be going here again real soon.
They have a great late night dining offer. The rooms are very nice and the pool is great.
We got a newly renovated room with hard beds and the drains are clogged, and the large cover for the air conditioner kept falling of and hitting the floor all night. . I had to go buy a candle due to the smell... then coming back up i got stuck in the elevator. We could have stayed somewhere much nicer for less money, and we are stuck here for another night. very disappointed especially since we are here for our aniversary. The second room we were moved to was even worse. it smelled and the shower was clogged so bad it had a foot of water in it. The manager Shelley offered us late check out as an answer to the problem.... Why would I stay here any longer than I had to. I regret staying here and they obviously don't care about their guests...
Modern and well kept casino. Very very reasonable prices in the restaurants. Usually has some kind of events happening.
Seniors (50 and over) $4 movies on Monday Wednesday and Thursday!
You can't beat that anywhere in town!!!!
Great values here for your money.
Quite possibly the flagship casino of las Vegas! A+++++++++++++
Beautiful views from your room. Tons of places to eat and lots to do for people of all ages, movie theater, bowling...
We loved it. Rented a cabana. Had great service with friendly staff.
Beautiful casino and theater. Easy to find where you need to go inside the casino.
Awesome ..... from a to z. You gotta experience it; much better "felt than telt." Seriously, one of a few hotel/lodging memories that was FABULOUS!!!!! Kudos x 10,000!
