Was a guest of a friend...Staff VERY user friendly. Rooms nice w/ lg bath very nice. Security very helpful. Hats off to the fellow in front of guest shop for information. Over all, had the feeling of thank you for staying with us. Also in a very short time ... a machine gave me a surprise that I have not received in years! Be careful with Uber or Lift ... be sure to take a pic of the license plate or write it down. Trust me, the numbers on the www are recordings that get you no place.
Best damn hotel on and off the strip. The smoking room was very clean and nice. Made my wife's first time to Vegas memorable. Thank you so much.
Good atmosphere but not enough cocktail waitresses. We waited way too long to get a drink while playing the slots.
Everything about it was great. Food was a fair price for what you are getting, rooms were clean & neat. The only downside is that for some odd reason the main casino floor smelled like maple syrup.
Pretty much everything you need if you don't want to leave your hotel. All the restaurants are good I love the oyster bar. Great staff easy check in and check out process.
The spa facilities are really nice, but the towels have seen better days. Also, there's this thing called a cascading shower but it's actually closer to a busted hydrant. The food and service at Don Vito's exceeded all of our expectations. I was pleasantly surprised.
Perfect spot for Bingo and really great for families with bowling and a movie theater. Also has plenty of well priced restaurants and great variety of slots/tables.
Check in was fast! Room was a good size, king bed with couch, table and chairs and plenty of space. No view, but I didn't come for the view and didn't want to pay for it! Quiet!
Best I can tell the gambling is pretty much the same as most regular price casinos. It's the food that impressed me. The locals say this place has the best Chinese food in the area. It was top notch. This is the restaurant locals call the coffee shop. The official name is Coronado Cafe. At another meal the very inexpensive rib eye steak was really good, and I only like really good steak. The reason they didn't get five stars is because of chicken fried steak. This is the first time I have had this, but I expected there to be beef in there. I could barely find any inside the batter. Definitely worth going back to, just avoid the chicken fried steak.
Went and played there poker tournament this morning...didn't win but did have a great time
My favorite hotel in Vegas. They have it all...LITERALLY! Tons of dining options, a bowling alley, movie theaters, the best equestrian facility, a huge bingo room, fun nightlife options, every casino game you could imagine, and an absolutely ridiculous sports book! I love the tons of parking that's available there...and it's FREE!!!! Hopefully they don't get greedy like the strip. My only suggestion would be that I hope they create a tailgating section for the Raiders games. That would be absolutely fantastic!
Great place to gamble, even better place to have a spa day!!
Always have a blast here, love the staff very helpfull
YOU CANNOT BEAT THE MIDNIGHT Specials! Steak and Eggs is a must and so is the Biscuits and Gravy. DO IT
Nice casino and cowboy themed hotel. If you loved all thing "Western ", then you will love this hotel. Horse arena, horse trailer parking, host to national rodeo and jumping championships. Casino and restaurants all 4 star.
Smaller casino, off the strip (a ways south -- hence the name). Friendly staff, simple & clean place, well-maintained, with a lot of older slots. Not bad at all. Mostly local clientele, it seems.
Lots of food options in this casino hotel. Great selection of machines and tables. Movie theater is there as well!
Latest slot machines with plenty of room to have a comfortable experience while hopefully hitting the jackpot!
It's great place to go for great food! Friendly people! And great place to be entertained shows or the many games to play
The staff, maid service personnel, and breakfast staff were all friendly and helpful. I recommended this property to everyone!
They have a great poker room.. The guys are really friendly. Have fun and tell them Shannan sent you...lol Oh and for anyone over 50 $4.00 movies on M & W. And $5 Tuesdays for everyone... All movies are new releases.
Love it great experience overall. It's jus so far from where Iive.
Love coming by every trip to town, fun place, good vibes, always something going on in priefert arena
Great place to stay rooms are very clean and great prices! Best place to stay is during the NFR.
Did not get to spend much time here, but I doubled my money playing slots. We stopped to eat at the buffet. First, the service was excellent! Very nice variety of cuisines; American, Italian, Asian, Mexican, Seafood, salad bar, dessert bar. We had a large SUV and trailer and had no problem parking.
Pretty cool spot off the strip. Stop by to try out the buffet for lunch before the drive home. The a little arcade for the kids and a big bowling spot upstairs.
I've stayed here several times, and it's always been a good experience. They have spacious, comfortable rooms. It's a little of the strip, but it's really just a short drive, and I don't mind it. The pool area is nice, and not crowded. Casino area is typical, I think. But I don't really gamble much. Price is right.
Local hotel that takes care of the locals by offering free parking, reasonable prices. It has a bowling alley , lots of restaurants and a movie theater. A perfect place to enjoy getting out.
Clean, friend place to stay Fun for the whole family.
Like the sportsbook here since it's open 24/7. Also can't beat $1 bowling and cheap steak and eggs. Poker room is also adequate with some good players and ok bonuses.
Went to buffet while visiting family. Excellent food, wonderful variety, except dessert is typical commercial.
The smoke was way too much. It's been a long time since Ive been in Vegas but man gotta do better on air filters.
I enjoyed my stay at South Point Hotel. I was in town on business and wanted a place away from the strip, but comfortable. I found it in South Point. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, well appointed, and luxurious (for a bargain hotel) My parent's had a faulty TV, but housekeeping was there in 5 minutes to fix the problem. Valet was easy, bellhop was easy, front desk got us checked in within 5 minutes. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Las Vegas, but not stay right on the strip.
So glad the casino's have reopened we live in LV to enjoy all the fun and action! We love South Point
Absolutely love the spa had my haircut there they did a wonderful job overall a great experience at the casino resort
We love the Senior day at the movies for $4 with popcorn and a free drink.
FOOD & DRINKS GREAT. SPORTSBOOK OUTSTANDING. VERY CLEAN TOO.
South Point is a good hotel that gives you everything you need at a good price. It's a short ~10 minute drive into the strip. It's very clean and not as busy as some of the other hotels where you have to deal with extra traffic. My review is on the room alone. I really liked it, there was plenty of space, a comfortable bed and enough space for other people to come visit before heading out. The restroom was well separated so you can still use the vanity wile someone showers or uses the toilet. I liked thatvthere were other mirrors with tables. This is especially useful when you have several girls staying in one room.
Great place, so many great things to do and see here! Great that it is next door to Grand View resort.
Always good times at the South Point. They got something for everybody. Great place .
Steak n Shake is the bomb! We won money and the staff was very nice. Crowded for Sunday football. Patrons mostly timeshare victims from across the street.
Friendly atmosphere, great attractions like theatres and equestrian center.
Other than the machines were tight like any other casino, I loved this place. Good food, good entertainment. Very clean, bright. Movie theaters, bowling alleys, spa, no need to leave the premises.
Enjoyed a wonderful movie at the cinemas. Theater was clean and equipment was in good shape. Would recommend to friends and family
Very nice hotel stay. Plus they have Steak & Shake! Nice pool too. Great staff. Family friendly. We also ate at their most expensive restaurant, I was not as impressed. The food was unremarkable, the atmosphere uptight. It felt more like an uncomfortable conversation than an experience. I say this having dined with my husband of over a decade and my children who behaved well. Avoid the expensive stuff and enjoy the free and reasonably-priced things they have to offer and you won't be disappointed.
South Point is a great casino at a great value. The table games lower minimum bet is why I like to go there to get my gambling fix. For a change of pace, South Point delivers an off strip atmosphere which is welcome some times.
Nice place great food and good tables and machines.
I have been staying here for the past 10 years. I come twice a year. One for a bowling tournament and the other for fun. I just came again for my yearly bowling tournament and I will never come back again. The room was dirty. The floor in the bathroom had stains there was glass on the carpet no hot water ac not working well plus much more. When I called to let them know they offered me a resort fee credit ($14) and send the maid back up. Well she came back up but the room was still dirty. Most hotels I stay in they dump your ash tray and throw away your trash as well as take you dishes away. Well this was never done. We have over 300 bowlers comes a year. This won t be happening again. Nor will I stay here again. Thanks south Point for the worse experience.
A lot of slot machines, some good places to eat. Nice place to visit. Steak and Shake is really good there
Awesome vibe, they have a Crown Royal bar, and its right off the freeway. first and, or last stop on you trip.
My family took me to the South Point for my birthday breakfast. We used to go there when the hotel first opened, but stopped going because service we horrible. I am happy to say the food was great and service was awesome. Made a great start to my birthday!
The bathroom was clogged so we had to change room, and the jacuzzi is closed to kids under 16, so as a parent you're more likely to not go if you're kid can't go. You pay a $21/day fee for use of the resort but the pool and jacuzzi are not part of the resort somehow. Oh, the other part of the resorts are actually not that free. If you don't have kids you're good, but personally if I didn't have kids I think I'd try to end up closer to the strip. Otherwise it's a great place. Big rooms, good restaurants for every budget, a bowling alley, arcade, a cinema (those are part of the resort, but are not free... you see what I meant earlier?), free parking. I don't gamble, but the casino seems good. You really don't have to leave. So it's mostly good. I hope it helps.
It was ok. They have a bowling alley and a movie theater but that buffet was gross. It messed my stomach up. I literally took a bite of everything and nothing was good but the ribs. I lie to you not I was like nope to everything. I walkes out farting and by time i got to the 5th floor i was stuck to my toilet. I'm a food lover so if your food almost kill me that's a problem.
Used to be a great place for slots but they have really tightened up the machines. Will be spending my money on the Strip in the future (after coming here 10-12 times). Restaurants are good.
More like 3.5. Clean room (I had an remodeled room), but no fridge. Thought that was dumb. Went here to bowl in sweepers so stayed there as well. Tuff shot. Went to primarily prime rib located on site and it was delicious. I'd stay again.
If only they would turn they're machines up some it would be the best
Very Large casino with plenty to choose from in food , gambling , and the people who work there are very friendly and helpful.
This is a sort of hybrid between a local's place and a destination resort. The rooms are just fine. Lots of slots and table games. Restaurants range from a deli to first class steakhouse. Or sushi if you prefer. Bowling alley and movie theater on site. Free parking and plenty of it. Reasonable rates too.
A outstanding hotel-casino that is well laid out with an abundance of eating facilities and very comfortable and clean rooms. Also excellent employees to assist your needs. My very favorite place to stay in Las Vegas.
Wow! Very Awesome place! So much to do! Absolutely Highly Recommend!
I so love this place. Casino, good location off the strip, movie theatres and this Oyster Bar. Yummy. Everything here is good to eat.
Great options..of everything to do from casual to upscale...so many options. Plus best Superbowl parties in Vegas. No one in town opens up all their venues for free admission to watch the big game. Fantastic..
Great place to lay your head during a bowling tournament
Breakfast special late night is great but for only over 21 so our son could not have the special breakfast price
This review is solely for The Poker Room & Staff. I absolutely LOVE The Poker Room & Staff at South Point. They make you feel right at home. They are very good dealers and extremely friendly. Their Tournaments have great value and the staff is hands down the best in Las Vegas. Boba and the rest of the managers are great, very friendly and helpful. The Dealers, Marty(My #1 Fav), Frank(My Fav), Richard(My Fav also)Howard, Victor, Melanie, Brian and there's others who's names I cannot remember but they were all GREAT! I will definitely be booking a stay at the Hotel & Resort because they made me feel at home. Oh and the local players are just as nice.. Well that is when they're not calling my every bet til the river and getting a flush..lol Either way I love this place and I recommend staying here or if you're a poker player going to play poker. Tell em Jay(Queens) sent you. That won't get you anything but they'll treat you nice.. I can't wait to see all you guys and girls again real soon.. P.S. The Buffet is The Bomb!!
We only ever visit here for matinee movies. Theatre is nice and service is friendly.
I love this hotel! It is a great jewel hidden in Las Vegas. You get the feel of the strip without the crowd of the strip. The amenities are amazing. Definitely would recommend to book a stay!
Huge establishment with lots to do. Movie theater, bowling rink, pool & spa, plus huge casino are awesome. Because the location is about a 5 min drive away from the edge of the strip, so not exactly on it, it allows the pricing to be pretty affordable and makes it an even better experience. The rooms are spacious and nice, nothing less than ideal for a proper nights stay.
Awesome casino and very neat and clean. Slots also we paying out that day for us
It's a nice place to stay, very clean, and the people or nice as well.
Great gem in Vegas. Everything is reasonably priced: rooms, dining, bar drinks, ice cream shop, bowling. They always have great promotions whether it's for gambling or dining. Only steak & shake in town. Movies are 5.25 on Tuesdays. Bowling is $1 after midnight sun - thurs. I can go on and on, but some of the best deals are here.
Had a great weekend bowling, Pool area was also nice.
Casino have to change something, always is the same,it's boring. Cantina is great and the buffet is just ok.
Accommodation was great..rooms are very big, comfy..too much smoke on main level..city bus convenient right out front..5 bucks a day unlimited rides
We stayed one night. It was an amazing experience we well be back the employee s where amazing
Very spacious and inviting. Ate at the cafe. Very good food and good prices.
