Very nice hotel and casino. great rooms! really enjoy that the casino isn't screaming loud with music like a lot of the vegas strip can be mainly at night. Really great place to stay if your here for a convention. Great place for a family vacation

Room was decent. The only real problem with the room was that the shower drain was slow so by the end of you shower, you were standing in water. Food at the lower end restaurants was mediocre at best. Casino was a topical casino.
South Point is pretty cool but it isn't as cool as it used to be. Maybe it's that times have changed for me as I've gotten older, but some of the charm is gone. I still like the place don't get me wrong, it's just not the same as when it was new. Anyway, cheap bowling and cheap drinks is a good combination, so give South point a try.
Attended dinner at the Coronado Cafe with family and friends. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. I had the Tuesday night dinner special, meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy. I honestly wasn't expecting much from the meal but was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I would definitely eat here again.
Deli turkey burgers are fantastic. Whenever I'm here, its my choice if food. One of the best casinos off the strip. Free parking. Plan to check out the hotel amenities next May, 2020.
The room had no fridge, so my brother had to go to the store and buy a cooler for our drinks. We had no place to put food, but that's wasn't an issue because none of the hotel restaurants allowed for take out/to go orders. The restaurants were also were horrible when it came to people with food allergies - I am vegan and the only options at 2 of the restaurants were fried tofu, white rice and veggies. It gets boring to eat that for 3 days. Tried going to the Mexican restaurant Baja, but after ordering a bean, rice, salsa guacamole burrito, I was told they couldn't put salsa inside because it had to go on top of the burrito. Then when the burrito came I was told the rice had lard in it (so the rice isn't even vegetarian) and they could give me a bean burrito. $13 for a bean burrito? No thanks. Very dissatisfied with the food at this hotel. I won't be back to stay here.
I had a blast here with a friend from out of town and they as well had a blast. We won money, and all the staff we dealt with were kind courteous and very helpful. Definitely worth checking out
I've lived in the South Point area for most of the time that I've lived in Vegas. It's a great casino and awesome energy there when you walk in. Even if it isn't busy at all, it feels like a winning place. SUPER huge casino floor with plenty of game options and I've heard that the rooms aren't all that bad either.
I was down there working an event with a company called @lasvegastempservice , it was an equestrian show. This place is the epitome of what Vegas is all about, beautiful hotel and a great decor. It was founded by Benny Binion, who was a very notorious criminal actually. Here is a picture of a bronze statue of him inside of the casino. The place was really clean and well staffed, and security was outstanding. Which is always important here in Las Vegas because you just can't be too careful anywhere these days. I did not stay at the casino hotel part I was only in there event area which is the arena. But the bathrooms were outstandingly clean, and I would have to say this whole place is a well-oiled machine. I'm not sure who runs it oh, but I wonder if they need a really good bartender Apprentice who just graduated from The Las Vegas Culinary Academy, that would be me,all they have to do is call.... because already work two or three jobs at a time, what's one more? I am very sure you'll enjoy your stay at this hotel casino, and you'll get a history lesson in the process...
Enjoyed my stay and each time I visit Vegas, I plan to stay at South Point. The entire place (hotel, casino, restaurants, halls, etc..) was always very clean, fresh and inviting. It was such a pleasure "not" walking thru a smoked smelling casino/bingo hall. Every venues' employees were all so friendly and welcoming. I loved that this place offers various affordable restaurants & things to do at very reasonable prices so you don't really need to leave the premises for anything. The top two restaurants on my list was Stake and Shake, secondly Coronado Cafe because the food was so delicious and employees were very very kind, pleasant and friendly. I also liked that the hotel provided a fun book that offered good discount's on several of the venues. I give 5 additional stars for the security team which checked to ensure all guest did have a key-card before allowing access to the elevators. Oh I must share with you the lobby store was so affordable and have a very nice selection of clothes & goods. I was amazed of the very reasonable prices so no need to make a trip to the gas station for your 6 pack, wine, late night snacks, etc.. Totally enjoyed my stay and will return.
If you are looking for a place to stay or gamble, you most definitely should give South Point a try. The slots machines are pretty lose. The rooms are very nice.
I was kind of torn. On the one hand, South Point had a great mix of slots and tables with a really nice ambiance along with a great selection of many restaurants. On the other hand, I got no free play for signing up and didn't win like other casinos I played. You'll just have to decide for yourself...
Amenities and stuff to do! $1 midnight bowling. Past midnight cafe restaurant with inexpensive food. Ice cream, burgers, steaks... yeah, I'm a foodie if you couldnt tell. Casino, horse racing, and bars too if youre into that stuff. Oh, and an in-house movie theatre. The place you wanna stay if you wanna have fun not only out at the main strip, but also at your hotel. The fun never stops!
Super smoky and dingy feeling - on par with Treasure Island, which isn t a good thing. The faucet in my shower made a terrible loud grumbling noise and the cleaning staff didn t take the empty food trash out of my room.
The only upside were the coupons books, which were good for a couple free drinks and discounted breakfast.
5 star visit again my family and I visit from Arizona. California. And Texas and stay for the nascar weekend the staff is the best and the price is more than perfect too all the people who work at the south point hotel thank you for the best vacation experience ever
Took a trip to Vegas and had friends with timeshare here. It was wonderful as there is a movie and bowling alley on the premises for low cost like $1 a game.
Love the entertainment (cinemax and horse shows) at this hotel. The casino is very smoky though, makes it hard to get from place to place because you have to walk through it.
If you want to stay at just 1 place then South Point is ok..only dislike it keeps you pretty isolated and stuck in 1 place being 20mins or so from downtown and the strip..
Its just another casino with bright lights and loud sounds. A good movie theater. And a great spot for comedy at the dirty at 1230. I honestly am not impressed. But maybe you will be?
It was fun for new year's eve had dinner with a show only bummer was we had to take the stairs at the end of the night. Too many people at the elevators were full
Have stopped at South Point to gamble, eat, and stay. Has been pleased with my visit. Not super fancy like some of the places on the strip but still a great deal. Parking is free which saves a lot. Buffet food is always good. Rooms and service was pretty good.
Not family friendly with security staff harassing you while waiting patiently with your daughter for friends to go bowling. Definitely don't come here if you have children.
Great property. Nice decor, excellent food options. Friendly, fast service. Good gaming options. Lots and lots of parking. Topped off with an indoor livestock and rodeo arena. Great place for locals, too.
I like the south point it's on my side of town, very down-home Country Place they actually have rodeo and bull riding contest here, I really like coming here for the gun shows also I got some pretty good cafes and a nice little movie theater that I take my son to once in awhile if you're visiting the strip just remember to stop here first because it's either the first stop on the way into town or the last stop on the way out of town
The rooms are nice and clean. There are more family oriented options here than many other casinos. The cab ride to the Strip is a little costly but there are shuttles from the hotel that are more affordable (YOU MUST RESERVE ONLINE or at the desk). Airport shuttles are free but the schedule varies, be sure to check in advance.
The table minimum is low and the atmosphere comfortable for a novice player. The pool is great but at least when I was there they weren't serving drinks anywhere near it which is the source of one of my missing stars. The other is simply convenience and overall quality. It isn't one of the brand new, shiny places on the strip but it is a good place to stay.
Great location, right off the interstate and south of the strip. FREE PARKING Great place to eat, watch sports, go bowling, spend time with family/friends, check out equestrian events or just watch a movie. #ChickenAndWaffles #CoronadoCafe
Big Casino, they have many games and plenty of places to eat. Also if your new they give you a few extra things as well. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have fun
I'm sorry gave the review to the wrong place I gave a better review to prim valley casino it's a older casino but it was clean just reopened South point was really nice the rooms where really nice the casino was nice but the girls don't come by enough for drinks and I tip well
Typical, smoke filled Las Vegas casino for my #TwoSense. My visit was in honor of my friend and neighbor, Maddy Johnston, who had supported Frankie Moreno's career for years. Her family had arranged our tickets in Maddy's memory to Frankie's performance in the Showroom, and it was great!
Here's to you Maddy, my dearly missed friend and loyal Frankie groupie! RIP
Very nice casino and the hotdogs by the race and sports book are very good I got mine with everything staff was very friendly behind the counter I had a nice conversation with the gentleman
Southpoint has a lot of amenities to share they are not greedy with their free play and other perks. I don't always win of course who of us ever does but I've had many times where I didn't have to bet High to win a good amount on the slots and that's a good thing
The South Point is one of my favorite Hotels to stay at in Las Vegas. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The employees are all wonderful. The machines are usually decent. The food at the buffet is awesome, and the food and service at the Mexican restaurant Don Vitos was amazing. I love to stay here!
My biggest complaint about South Point is that they don't have a tiered player card system. I'm daily high wagering player, and I hate having to ask for a simple food comp. I just don't feel the love back sometime. If I played at Caesers as much as I do here, I would definitely be a 7 star, but with south point there's no special rewards.
We have stayed all over Vegas but I cannot express how wonderful the South Point is. We have been there 3 times, each time we experienced even better service. the staff are great! the service is wonderful! Prices are good all around. even at the casino tables! This particular weekend we had originally booked a room at the Luxor for my daughter's 21st birthday and we were very disappointed! our experience would have been better at a cheap motel! We had prepaid for a 3 night stay and checked out after day one. Prior to checking out, I called the South Point to ask if they had any rooms available (there was a fight in town that day and everything was sold out) but Pam (casino services) was able to work some magic! I don't know why I would ever stay anywhere but the South Point when visiting Vegas in the future! Thank You South Point!
I stayed there last weekend for the Andalusian World Cup. It is a beautiful facility. I was pleased with their customer service and the food in all the restaurants were wonderful. They have an ice cream shop that made the biggest ice cream sundae iv'e ever had, it was delicious! A little away from the strip, but, a short ride to it. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone that wants a nice place to stay where they are friendly and the food is top notch.
Buffet was great! Service excellent! Veterans Day and Memorial Day absolutely FANTASTIC! I SALUTE THE OWNER AND MANAGERS, SERVERS! THANK YOU. For giving back!
Great Value. Rooms were large and clean. Many great restaurants and slots. Bowling and movie theaters were a plus. Close to airport. Never any need to leave the complex. Would have rated 5 stars but felt that beds and pillows needed updating.
Didn't stay at the hotel. The buffet was excellent. Great variety of food and the quality was fantastic. The casino was nice as well. Would definitely consider staying here next time.
Elevators were a nightmare on Saturday evening! After 6 full cars we took.the stairs down from the 16th floor. Also too much smoke in casino. A non-smoking section would be nice.
