Very poor service at the arena. I am diabetic. Got very thirsty, which is a symptom of high blood sugar. I told them this, but they had no water, other than bottled at a high price. See no value in being forced to purchase it other than padding their greedy pockets. Workers should be allowed to serve free tap water, especially from the saloon within the arena. That's a reasonable accommodation for my medical condition. But they refused. After going to many places, I finally got the water from security for my medical needs. Shouldn't have to go to these efforts. They need to make reasonable accommodation for people with diabetes, and anyone else that my need water in the hot desert.

When staying in Las Vegas this is the property where I enjoy staying the most. It has one of the to Steak and Shakes west of the Mississippi I believe as the other one is down the road 185 miles in Victorville. They have an excellent Buffet, also a coffee shop is open pretty much 24 hours and has not only a great breakfast but also excellent meals throughout the day at reasonable prices.

South Point Resort Hotel has it all! As my wife has said many times, "why screw with the strip, (fees, parking, confusion) when SPR has so much more. The parking is the best I have seen. The rooms are spotless. The entire staff knows exactly how to take care of all concerns. The food is as good as any in town. Yes, SPCR is our number one choice. Respectfully, William Pitts & family.

Met my father at Steak and Shake and then watched him bowl in the Pro Am Tournament. SouthPoint does a great job organizing events to bring people to their hotel. The hotel always seems to be busy. We had a great meal at Steak and Shake. Good food and reasonable prices. The Mexican restaurant at SouthPoint is also very good.

Nice hotel away from the strip, but not too far away if you want to go there. Rooms were big/ love the wood floors and large bathroom with the tub and shower being completely separated by a door from the sink and vanity. The hotel was very clean and they did a good job keeping it this way with covid. I decided to take my 3 kids (ages 9, 14 & 16) on a little get a way and it was a good choice to stay here. Also the pool was very nice and not over crowded. The prices on dining and drinks were also cheeper than the strip hotels as well as their resort fees. Lots to do with a family like bowling and a movie theater. If I bring my family back to Vegas again, we are totally staying here hands down...

Bowling facility sux. 3 employees behind the counter. When I walked up 1 said here's your #, it's a 1/2 hr wait. I turned around to look at 30 empty lanes. I went back up and said , "What's up with the wait? You got tons of open lanes!!" He said ---NOW WAIT FOR IT, ---" I just got back from lunch ." Meanwhile the other 2 employees were spraying shoes and pacing back and forth aimlessly. I just sat and watched these 3 for 10 straight minutes to see if this wait was justified. I concluded it wasn't, bowled , and will only come back to the theatre. You guys suck

I was here attending a gymnastics competition but I avoid staying here. Upon walking into the lobby it smells of very old stale smoke. I realize smoking is legal indoors in Vegas but other casinos do not wreak quite as bad as this one as smoke. I would not reccomend booking this hotel with kids.

They ought to be commended for giving the veterans and their guests a wonderful free buffet. I know they do this every year, but these people are very generous. Hats off to South Point!!!

Honestly, my favorite Casino in Vegas. It is a few minutes from the strip, but it makes up for the distance in affordable food, a huge casino with many offerings, and great poker. I will be back.

South Point hotel is located a few miles off the strip. Its casino is great - there are many tables and jackpot machines. Minimum bet for black jack can go as low as $5 which is much lower than the bigger casinos. Rooms are nice and clean and the burger joint at the lobby area is pretty good. There is free parking in the hotel too. The only qualm I have about this hotel is that they charged us an additional resort fee or some sort when we checked out. It s fine if you want to charge extra but at least let us know beforehand i.e when we were booking the hotel instead of charging us when we re checking out?

Valet service was speedy and efficient. My party and I ate at the Coronado Cafe. I must say the Chinese food was delicious. It was a pleasant surprise that the Cafe had pretty authentic Chinese food along with American food.

Michael's restaurant that used to be in the Barbary is now at South point and that deserves 10 stars. Greatest restaurant in the world. The captain, Russell is the very best and Jose' is the best. All the people at Michael's are the greatest. Been going there for 14 years and it is still #1.

Attended an event for my college in the ballroom space. The place was easy to find, just off the 15 just south of the strip. Huge parking lot immediately at the entrance, parking was easily found on the 3rd floor. Elevator in the garage takes you directly to the casino floor, where there was plenty of signage to direct attendees to the right spot. Breakfast stations were well stocked and had a decent variety of pastries and fruit. Coffee was kept fresh nonstop by a team of what I can only assume are hospitality ninjas. The staff were extremely professional.

The room was beautiful. We had a fridge however it was smaller than expected. No microwaves in the room which was slightly disappointing but the hotel staff was more than willing to warm my food up in their microwave. The bed was not made correctly. When I went to sleep I knew something was off, then I felt a folded sheet at my feet. Our room was NOT ready at 3pm which they claim is check in. In fact, we did not get into our room until 5pm. The bathrooms: the vanity & sink are separate from the toilet & showers which is always delightful.

The pool area has plenty of nice big towels. The pools are all pretty shallow and they have rules that they follow to the T when it comes to the jacuzzi. You must be a certain age or with an adult. The pool area has a lot of chairs and loungers as well as an area with fake grass if you just want to lay your towel down & get some sun. It really has something for everyone!

Nice big casino , large array of poker machines and all the latest machine type-games. live gaming, 21 ,poker room, sports ,great place for sports betting !

Definitely not service oriented. When I first pulled up I was "greeted" by a very rude valet. Went to check in and was informed my second room was still being cleaned at 8pm. No mention as to why. It was obvious that when the room came available at 9:30pm, the previous guest had thrown up on the carpet. Through the whole experience was not offered any kind of compensation. I was just told that they don't guarantee rooms. My second day was better. The hotel is nice and modern. I just got the feeling that they were too busy to care if you came back or not.

Awesome hotel and casino. Close to the airport and easy to get to. It's just off the strip with beautiful views. Their rooms are a really nice size and the beds are super comfortable! They have table games and a ton of different types of games. They also have AMAZING restaurants. The steakhouse is a must!!!!

This was our third stay at South Point. We stayed on the 14th floor for 3 night. The room was clean and beautiful, bed was very comfortable, shower was awesome. The toilet paper left a lot to be desired, it was very thin and tore easily. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent in the 3 restaurants and one special banquet we ate at, although I wish they would offer more low or no carb options. Love the coffee! We noticed a big improvement in the air quality in the casino since we were last there 4yrs a go. Overall it was a 5 star experience and we will be back

Really enjoyed the stay. Traveled back and forth to the strip easily but didnt have to deal with the strip crowds all day. Rooms was comfortable. Staff was friendly. Enjoyed the non casino amenities as well. Movies, bowling, pool area, and restaurants. Will definitely stay again.

Michaels is incredible! A Classic Vegas experience. The entire staff is amazing. So attentive, knowledgeable and professional. They really do give you that one on one attention to make you feel like you are the only customer in that restaurant. Everything on that menu is to die for! Cooked to perfection and with amazing taste. If you are looking for a special place to take your spouse that will WOW them, this is the place. Michael's is one of the only restaurants in Vegas to truly give you that old school, Las Vegas experience.

Went to the buffet on 7/3 with since friends and my family. There was a short line but it moved quickly. The buffet was busy but we got quick service, plus they had prime rib which a lot of places aren't serving except on special nights. I was quite satisfied!!

So many sports events, NASCAR, bowling and equistrian especially. People are friendly and even the parking lot is kept clean. Speaking of parking, there's lots of it free. Don't want to take time for a big meal? The hot dog cart sells them for $1.25 during the day.

The room is nice and comfortable. However, the smoke is deadly. I'm sick this morning from just walking through. And I asked about the shuttle and told the lady what time we arrived she said the shuttle would be there to pick us up, but they stopped picking up at 9:30 , so we were stranded at the airport.

This isn t your normal Las Vegas Strip casino. This is further south and has a bit of the local and tourist things to offer. It s got a huge parking lot with a nice size garage and it s very accessible from the freeway.

They offer a huge gaming area, movie theatre, sports book, multiple restrautants, bars and all kinds of events/shows here.

The casino dealers are great. I ve been here several times and have had the pleasure of meeting dealers such as Bob D who had been dealing for many years and still provides a great experience and professional dealing. I also can say the bosses are great too such as Joanne B and Randy W. These are great people whom are very professional and provide great customer service to the players too.

If you want to eat then you have options such as the oyster bar, Don Vito s, the Mexican restaurant (located up stairs), Steak Shack and the cafe to name a few.

If your a sports fan/sports bettor then this is your spot. The sports book is huge and they have a lot of seating, tvs and a bar that s adjacent. They also have a sports radio show that is hosted right here too.

The movie theatre is great (just saw Solo).

If your into rodeo and cowboy shows then this casino also is a must especially in December.

TOP NOTCH CASINO.

I always enjoy my time at the South point. Bounce around between the movies, bowling, hitting the black jack tables all while throwing back some reasonably priced drinks. Coronado cafe really hits the spot around 4 am too.

Laid back, many favorite old slot games and new slot machines. Sounded & felt busy on the casino floor. The employees need to smile more or have more energy, they seem tired of the job, like old wallpaper in a house.

This is a very good hotel.Easy parking garage, they have valet to, Easy check in and out.Rooms are great large and comfortable, very clean and smell good.

I did it smell like smoke!! - The Buffet is OK from 1to5 - I give 3 ! I don't know why hotels don't Focus on "food". /- they have a cool Arcade! From 1 $ dollar to 2$ dollars also they have bowling.

The pool is awesome they have salt water and don't smell like chlorine at all.
Which is great, also they have a good convenience store which you can buy liquor as well

It's fine for what it is, and that's about it. I got put here when I was bumped from my flight, so I can't speak to price or value (though I assume it's cheap).

Here what it is and isn't:

Is:
Good enough place to sleep. It's not anything special either way, and could be better or worse, but overall, nothing major.

A casino. If you want to gamble, play slots, cards, drink, this place has that.

I heard there was a movie theatre and bowling alley.

Really cheap booze compared to the strip pricing.

Isn't:
It's not a chic trendy hotel casino. As an example, one of the headliners was ''frankie cintra'' (not real last name, but something like that), complete with old timey picture of him. Other headliners were similar. The place knows how to cater to its audience because everything else looks like it hasn't been updated since around Frank Sinatra's time (including most of the guests). This isn't the typical bachelorette party scene, the average age was probably 57, though some younger couples were there.

It's not a place to party. There are no night clubs, day clubs, etc. Just gambling in an old, worn in, mostly empty casino.

It's not on the strip. It's really middle of nowhere at least 10 minutes south of the strip without traffic. This actually pushes it from 2 to 3 stars for me though because depending on the room rate money saved, could be worth it. Getting an uber or lyft is really easy, so I don't see a huge reason to stay on the strip unless having easy access to your room is important.

At the end of the day, it's meh. 3 stars.
