The resort grounds were beautiful unfortunately we had one of the older not refurbished rooms which wasn t nice! Was like a cheap motel room. What made up for the stay was the service, especially Nina who served us breakfast the next morning in the dining area. She went above and beyond and organised for a special breakfast to be delivered to my room for my son who wasn t feeling great. Thank you

My family and I have stayed here multiple times previously and loved it, however this stay was not as enjoyable. Our restaurant experience really let it down. The food took a very long time to come with 3 children, this is very challenging. We had to ask repeatedly for parts of the meal to come for the kids. We were in the back area and kind of felt forgotten about, the restaurant was not very busy so we were at odds to know why there was such a delay. The dessert was dreadful, and at $17.50 We were expecting something special but instead we got some crushed biscuits with a few blobs of chocolate. Really disappointed and highly unsatisfying.
The residents gym was taken over on the Saturday morning for a personal training session with 4 people who took over the place for their session and it took away from the enjoyment of being able to freely use the gym and it s equipment.
The staff were all lovely as usual and super helpful, I m guessing there may not be enough of them though. The breakfast was also beautiful as always.

The service was good and you see them cleaning constantly. The facilities were great and tidy. But the shower flooded on day 1 of 2 of our stay. After letting reception know they said they had a plumber working through the rooms to fix it. No news about what's happening and shower was still flooded when we checked out

Wonderful retreat for a romantic getaway.

Wonderful retreat for a romantic getaway.
Great place for a function, birthday, wedding or any party really.
Slightly over priced rates for outdated rooms but still enjoyed a lovely stay.
Well equipped gym, with pool spa and sauna.
Friendly and helpful reception staff.
Long drive out of Sydney to the lovely town of Windsor but worth it.

A perfect venue for a family wedding..the staff are amazing and the food great..the set up is lovely and so convenient for guests travelling from all over the world. I felt the small rooms were not of a high standard. The walls are paper thin. The Bathroom so tiny you could barely move, the bed is of poor quality and the carpets are manky, smelly and stained. However its the grounds that we came here for and they were excellent.

Got married there last year and was a waste of time and money. Wedding planner had no time to organise any of our wedding so had to do it myself on my wedding day and the night before and the MC was so bad that I had to literally MC myself. I asked for certain music to not be played and guess what? Everysong I told him not to play he played. Waste of time and money

Beautiful hotel! Picturesque setting, beautifully manicured gardens perfect for weddings and conferences. Short walk to The Rum Barracks Golf Course, tennis courts, Day Spa Centre.
Efficient, friendly, helpful reception, restaurant staff are there to make sure your stay is memorable and that your every need is met, just like the old Sebel Town House! Well that certainly happens here! We want to go back for a longer stay next time to better soak up the atmosphere and get more done in the local area.
Spacious rooms adjacent to heated indoor pool, gym, heated spa and sauna are a bit old but perfectly clean and comfortable. They could be quite noisy in summer with lots of kids about although they have thoughtfully fitted doors between the bathroom and bedroom as insulation.
Some reception staff need to be trained a bit more in knowing what to do in the area, and we were pleased to know that church service information was readily available at the front desk.
Harvest Restaurant food is nouveau cuisine Australian - when the food comes out it is like being a judge on Master Chef!! Spectacular and tasty and you don't leave hungry! There are so many yummy things on the menu you need to spend a week there to get through it all!!
Even a hardened Sydneysider would be impressed by this place.

I stayed for 1 night and was charged $249 which is fine(including food) I also have an outstanding authorization for a further $249 on my card. The receptionist told me it will take 10 days for this to be reversed. I will not stay again.

Food was poor and almost no service but the gardens and rooms are beautiful.
I have now been to Crown Plaza several times and on every occasion the service although friendly has been appalling. Every time the excuse has been that there is a function in another room, even when I have been attending a function! I would not recommend this venue for any function or meal unless they can sort out their staff ratios.

A little bit of affordable luxury conveniently tucked between Richmond and Windsor. It is pleasant to enjoy an early but delicious breakfast in the sunlit Gazebo restaurant. I haven't tried lunch or dinner yet but it is also enjoyable to drop in for a beverage.

After a grueling cold stay in the Blue Mountains, we decided to pull up for night at the Resort and try and thaw out... From arrival, everything seemed to be so easy.. easy access to car park, which was close to reception, easy access to our very comfortable rooms, we also had our own little garden setting in the sun which didn't last long after we found the full size snooker table in the bar. We sunk a few balls, and a few beers whilst the girls, keen to try out the pool and spa, ducked into town to pick up some new swimmers.
I must say that the staff looked after all of us to the max, from the guys on the front desk all the way to the dinning room and breakfast. We decided to eat in that night. As the guys prefered the informal setting, we ended up at restaurant in Barracks Bar, nice food and drinks.... overall a great experience and a good chance to unwind on our way home...

From the outside the Crown Plaza seems like a very fancy and respectable establishment... but don't be fooled! At nearly $200/night for the cheapest room the best way I can describe it is a polished turd. I'll start with the positive: the beds are ok, the breakfast buffet is decent, and the room service is the same price as the bar with no extra delivery fee.

Now the many reasons this place very much isn't worth the price tag. To start, budget drinking water into your stay as the tap water smells like manure and tastes even worse. They seem to know this as they charge $10 for a bottle of water, or you could walk 10 minutes and get some at 7-eleven. The water issue doesn t stop there as the shower heads are so weak its a slow dribble like someone is ringing out a damp cloth over your head. Nearly impossible to wash soap off your body, and if you have long thick hair like me, plan for an extra 20 minutes trying to wash it. Better off washing in the sink with a jug of stinky water. Also pretty sure the water gave me dandruff for the first time in my life, but I digress. For some reason the bathroom door is right in front of your face in bed with an opaque glass door... so if you or your partner gets up to pee in the middle of the night you have a choice of either doing it in the dark or waking them up with the bright light and VERY loud fan that comes on automatically. Also the towels are terrible.
If you need to do laundry, DO NOT USE ON EVEN REMOTELY DELICATE CLOTHES. The water is literally boiling hot no matter what setting you use, nearly untouchable to take out or change over to the dryer with bare hands. I have a couple of ruined shirts to prove it. It's also $3 wash and $3 dry and one washer for the whole wing.
They charge to make local calls on the in room phone... first time I have ever heard of that. I had to leave the hotel to get cell service to order a pizza.
The room was clean enough, but as soon as you open the shutters its pure spider webs like it hasnt been cleaned in decades... I genuinely like spiders and even I was disgusted, I would have liked to be able to open the windows to smell the beautiful gardens outside or hear the birds without a million bugs getting in.
One of the rooms we were in had a broken AC unit and it took 2 days of repeated calling and hounding the front desk to have it dealt with. I kept being told someone will be right up and noone would come or they would come and try the exact same thing as the last person (changing settings because apparently I'm too stupid to have tried that already and told them I did that each time to no avail.) The 4th employee to come look at it came with two other maintenance guys and decided to move me rooms. I have to say they were very nice and offered to help me carry everything to the other room.
It feels a bit pretentious as well, as a non VIP in an expensive room I felt snubbed a few times with breakfast and bar service.
There is about a 2 inch gap under the suite door as well so the bright hall light shines right into your room, not an issue for most but that combined with the paper-thin walls means you can hear people whispering in the rooms around you. ZERO privacy sound wise. And forget about sleeping if someone is watching tv as its attached to the thinnest wall with the sound pointed towards to door so it travels out.
The maids are also not very good at making sure you have toilet paper when they do your room. One little inconvenience in the modern age is no plugs anywhere near the bed to charge your phone over night and use as an alarm.

All in all I would have been happy enough if the place was $100/night, but that's just not the case.

I came here for a wedding great venue and lovely backdrop. The service was fantastic and the ballroom beautiful. The rood I had was very impressive well appointed and plenty of room. The bed was great. Very impressed with the breakfast in the morning with many options and healthy options to for juices etc not just fruits. Would definitely stay here again.

Family and I went to the new years eve event and had a great time. Service staff were great and very friendly. Facilities were relatively adequate. Buses and relative logistics were great. Designated paths and other thoroughfares could have been better designed/indicated and illuminated (specifically around the pond area)
Overall I highly enjoyed the experience and will probably go back next new years eve.

I spent two nights here for a weekend away and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's not cheap; however, it's worth it for the lush rooms, gardens and facilities. Given the numbers of weddings I saw, I'm guessing it's a good place for those, too. The staff were efficient and I couldn't be happier with the service.

We just wanted to say that Taylor the lovely bubbly
Lady who served us this morning at buffet breakfast was fantastic. She welcomed us, showed us what to do, took our coffee orders. Never complained. Taylor is the definition of fantastic customer service and everyone should follow and learn from her. Unfortunately these days there s not many places that can proudly say they have great customer service and therefore we had to make sure it was known! Food was great too btw. Thank you for a great experience Taylor!

We recently hosted our wedding at the Crowne Plaza...

We recently hosted our wedding at the Crowne Plaza, Hawkesbury Valley. A big shout out to Krista and Kai who made the whole process seem so easy. The amount of times I emailed with silly questions at ridiculous times that were met with helpful understanding responses, especially during COVID while I m sure they had with many other brides doing the same thing. I always felt reassured with their responses. Even up until the day before, the ladies setting up the reception room were so lovely and friendly and it did not bother them when we just showed up to change some things. Also thank you to the reception staff that were super helpful when I needed to drop off some last minute decorations at 9:30pm the night before, I was so relieved the morning of the wedding that it was done and we didn t have to worry about it.
Finally, thank you to everyone who was there to help things run smoothly on the day, Krista, Haylie and everyone behind the scenes. As well as Nina and all the service staff in the room.
Not to mention we also received many compliments on the wedding food, please thank your chef. The stay overnight was amazing and the breakfast the next morning just topped it all off and made the stress of planning a wedding melt away as we felt like we were already on holiday.
Highly recommend The Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley as a wedding venue, hotel and restaurant. Although we are local we are glad we had an excuse to enjoy the venue and will definitely be back.

Staff were nice and professional. However that's where it end. Forget about a good night sleep, hotel encourages hooligans and rowdies to party late into the night with loud blaring music. The place is certainly not ideal for rest or relaxation.
