Beautiful surroundings. Lovely buildings, fixtures, furnishings etc however, not very modernised. Good quality hand wash, hand lotion etc. I didn't stay in the hotel, my cousin did. It looked like very reasonable, comfortable, well thought out Accommodations. Average buffet breakfast. Nothing too different from the rest. A pity.

Ive been a customer here for 17 years. We come on a yearly basis and get to enjoy our stay. Due to covid 19, i understand that business has suffered in certain ways and staff may not be as easy to sustain but i think its completely unacceptable when you have to wait till after 5pm to get get your room serviced, not be informed of certain aspects of your room being available and then get told that there is nothing that can be done about it because they are understaffed. This is the best you get from the duty manager. Please explain how this is the fault of the customer???
Unacceptable and very disappointed!

Ive stayed at this hotel before under another name. I understand that the rooms will be refurbished in the near future and I for one would certainly recommend this Hotel 100% once this has been completed. The beds are extremely comfortable. The food was fantastic and fresh. However the greatest asset this property has is its Staff. Every single person I came into contact with over the 3 days was smiling, happy and committed to our comfort. I have stayed in loads of places around Australia, and I would have to say hand on heart that if its service you want, there is no better place. Special thank you to Bev & Arianna for their attention to detail and helping us all extremely welcome.

Very poor service in reception , restaurant and at breakfast. Just under staffed and too busy. Which has made some of the staff quite rude. Buffet breakfast with no egg, bacon, toast, juice, bread and a 30 min wait on coffee. Room service the only alternative. Rooms old and run down. Broken windows, tangled cords no charging power points. Very thin walls. Absolutley beautiful location though. Keep being told they are doing refurb soon. Dont come before then.

Came for a work conference. Although the hotel also catered for lots of other work meetings and conferences at the same time the hotel still felt cosy and relaxing. Fireplace in reception was a great touch in winter. New reception area. Also a great garden wedding venue. Great to get out and get some sun and fresh air when we could. Rooms were a bit dated but comfortable. Good breakfast selection with eggs and Barista coffee to order. DIY fresh juice too. Lunches and dinners were also well catered for

Where do I begin? The only positive about this pla...

Where do I begin? The only positive about this place is the beautiful grounds and garden (which is accessible to the public) and the friendly staff. Other than that, this place was a disappointment. The service was the worst and this was due to poor management and being understaffed, even though we were told there was sufficient staff.
1. There was no one waiting to welcome guests in, or helping to get your bags into the building as it's a bit of a walk from the carpark and then making your way up the stairs or using the ramp to get into the reception area.
2. There were luggage trolleys around so we were not expecting something out if the ordinary. After checking in, I asked if we need to bring our bags in or what was the deal and the receptionist said oh yes you can bring your bags in if you are able to carry it. Sure.. we are able to carry it as we packed it into the car but that's not the point.
2. Food was average but expensive for what you were getting. Breakfast was not good and always just warm(ordered room service as I have a 1 year old).
3. On the following day, we werr out quite early and got back to the room after 2pm to find our room not made up! At first I thought they missed our room so I called reception to find out and was told they were still cleaning rooms and they usually clean up the new check-in rooms first and then all the others and they were booked to capacity, but ours should be cleaned between 4-5pm!!!! I know.. a joke.
4. The next morning I order breakfast around 6:20am (breakfast is served between 6-10:30am), to be told that our food should take about 30-40mins to arrive because staff are busy setting up for breakfast in the restaurant!! I couldn't understand this as breakfast starts at 6:00am! Should they not be ready by then.
5. Again we went out for the day and returned around 2am to a room that was not made up and our breakfast tray still there! So I left it for about 2 hours to see if it gets cleaned up by 4pm. By 5pm, I called reception again and asked why hasn't our room been cleaned yet only to be told the same sad story about being booked to capacity and staff being really busy (I honestly did not see many people there!!) I concluded that they were short staffed or just badly managed. They receptionist told me that our room should be cleaned by 6pm but even that's not guaranteed as they are busy!! I was not happy and conveyed that very politely. He said that all establishments ran this way and I disagreed as I have stayed at many places and have never experienced this.

My opinion and advice is not to stay here as I only afterward read all the bad reviews and noticed that there was a common thread with all the bad experiences of this establishment. Quite expensive for such terrible service (due to not being managed well).

Great place to stay for a staycation. Not to far from the city, with exceptional facilities. Pool, kids play equipment, delicious buffet breakfast, Well stocked bar with solid finger food. I stayed in a recently renovated room. The room was spacious with all of the modern facilities, but most importantly the most comfortable bed I have slept on in a long time.

I attended a wedding here and was delighted from the moment we drove in the gates. Lovely open spaces with gardens and lake with fountains, a gazebo for guests pre ceremony. We had drinks and a snack in the bar before joining the other guests and enjoyed the atmosphere and great service of the staff. The wedding was held in the Lachlan Macquarie Room and was perfect for a wedding for around 70. The tables were set out so there was plenty of room to walk around and the dance floor was well used by everyone. The tables decorations were magic and from the time we were welcomed with predinner drinks and tasty canapes by the lovely staff we knew we would have a great night. The wedding host was professional and efficient while still friendly and obliging, nothing was too much for her. The waitstaff were the same, wonderful ! The food was absolutely the best I have ever had at a wedding. I'm fact my husband and I are planning a return visit for dinner and to stay overnight so we can enjoy the whole experience of this great resort. There are not enough superlatives to describe it!

Staff at the Sebel were approachable, relaxed and extremely friendly. We went to have a drink and a look, considering staying there in the future. I asked for a type of tea they then told me they didn't have, lemon and ginger. Very resourcefully and kindly, a delicious, fresh pot of lemon and ginger arrived for me! I consider this wonderful customer service and feel confident in returning for another positive experience. Such an easy thing to do goes a long way to achieving guest satisfaction and loyalty.

There is no doubt this is Sydney hidden gem. Who would have thought that only 45 Min drive from our house in the western suburbs lies a untapped hidden gem. This place is amazing. Country style living with a country getaway feel without having to travel to far. It's simply amazing. Infact this is one of the best getaways we have has in a long time. The superior room is wonderful and not as expensive either. The buffet breakfast is one of the best I've ever had. When was the last time you had a buffet breakfast that allowed you to make your own freshly squeezed juice with local produce? Or home made smoothie.? I highly recommend this location simply amazing. Our 10 year anniversary here has totally exceeded our expectations.

Beautiful resort, fantastic dinner menu and in-room dining and made great use of the sauna, pool and gym after check-out.

The team at the Crowne plaza in Hawkesbury we all friendly, helpful and accommodating to any requests we had. Would highly recommend staying here for a trip outside the city or alternative to a blue mountain stay.

It was a very poor experience. Room was tiny. Could not keep windows open and even if we could there were no screens to keep flying insects out. For a hotel that purports to be superior the toilet paper and tissues weren't even the quality of a 3 star motel we stayed in the following evening after moving on.
It was expensive and not worth it. It makes no difference if it has a pool etc. if it cannot provide class rooms to stay in.

Considering this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, I was less than impressed with a lot of little things such as, room size, room cleaning (really not done well), lighting in the small bathroom made it hard to see particularly in the shower. Breakfast in the breakfast room(over 20 mins wait for an omelette, 2 days in a row! And one of the days there was only 2 of us waiting for omelette), coffee to go(asked for a extra large, extra hot and got a warm less than half full in a takeaway cup). Meals in bar and dining room were okay but a little expensive for what they were but that is to be expected.
The best service we received was from Julie at reception a most wonderful lady who was exceptional in what she did, they are lucky to have her! My rating 2-3star max.

I had alot of issues with the key card system for their room doors. When I first booked in I had two rooms one for my wife and I, the second for my adult children the rooms were initially at separate ends of the hotel but after some verbal persuasion they moved the second room next to the first.

This hotel is gorgeous, however what made our experience exceptional was the amazing service provided by Kim at reception and the beautiful Nina via room service and at breakfast. At breakfast we were greeted by the lovely Kerry. Alex greeted us upon arrival with a smile and was amazing in organising us all and sorting out the mix ups.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The people that were mentioned all made our stay memorable.

My partner and I stayed here over a long holiday weekend, and I can honestly say that I have NEVER had such amazing customer service in any other place I've stayed. Ever.

While the rooms weren't necessarily "modern" they were exceptionally clean, tidy and very well serviced.
The food in both the bar and restaurant was very tasty, however the Harvest Restaurant was exceptional! While the price point is a bit on the high side ($35-40/plate) it's the first time I can say it's totally worth it! Delicious to the last bite, just enough and still room for desert, and of course the service is wonderful.

The staff ensured all of our needs were catered to, all our requests fulfilled to the best of their ability and all of it done with such genuine kindness it was inspiring.

From booking to check-out the consideration, service and hospitality was unsurpassed and I will continue to praise the Sebel for as long as I can.

Worth the cost, worth the wait and definitely worth the time!

A nice hotel in a country setting. The rooms are clean and tidy but are nothing remarkable. It s a pity that the rooms do not have private balconies. Bar food was decent and the staff were happy and friendly. Tennis court is a bit neglected. Hotel seems to cater quite heavily to the wedding market.

Went here on the weekend for high tea for a friends kitchen tea. The staff were lovely and very attentive.
I am coeliac and the gluten free option was nice. Heads up on the bread.. it was really dry as most GF brands are, go with Burgen/Woolies in the future and it would be 5 stars
