Was married there but had really bad experience with the wedding planner as well as the MC. Wedding day was meant to be special but we ended up doing al the work our self :( Paying that much money was not worth it.

Better of staying in a country pub! Food was excellent, staff where good but the rooms are out dated, damp smells and bathroom had rooting cupboards. Also before you use there so called clean SMALL spa's (in bathroom) make sure you fill up with hot water only and turn on spa, we found finger nails hair and what looked like a used condom! I did complain before all this regarding the state of our room and did receive 2 free drinks each. We were kept up to 1am by not other guests but the staff themselves who were cleaning up a function, we had trolley's going up and down all night. If you like watching your money being thrown down the drain this is the place for you! I did give them a chance to explain themselves, called once while eating dinner by Peter who than told he would call again at a time both agreed too, never rang back.

Nice place. Rooms/bathrooms are quite old, friendly staff. Buffet breakfast on sunday morning was unpleasent- very busy, noisy, messy tables, seemed understaffed. But weekday mornings was really nice.

The rooms and facilities were awesome. Although the Wi-Fi was absolutely horrible and wouldn t work for anything in our room. That s why I took a star down.

The second thing wrong was breakfast. The food was fine but due to social distancing they made us sit next to the freezer (it was already super cold) and the kitchen (which was very loud). I don t understand why they didn t this because there were a whole THREE TABLES that were all full with at least 6 people at each and right next to each other. Therefore we didn t get to sit in a sunny peaceful place near the window for absolutely no reason (the tables weren t reserved).

So the breakfast experience ruined some of our trip and that is why this hotel is unfortunately 3 stars at best. Although everything else was amazing.

Just bliss! We went for a romantic weekend away. We chose the suite with King size bed and corner spa, and breakfast included.
Pros
It was a spacious room. Cleaner than average. The reception / housekeeping / room service was all a share number, but they were always quick to respond, and extra friendly and generous. The staff were professional but friendly and unpretentious, happily offering us bottled water after a walk, and finding us bath bombs for the spa. The gym had quite new equipment and was well equipped and spacious. The room had its own individual air conditioner, so you had to remmeber to turn it on. Dressing gowns included.
The hotel is set on beautiful grounds with lawns, a pond and fountain.
Top notch buffet breakfast. I wouldn't pay the premium for it, but we got it free.
I suggest becoming a member for free before booking, for immediately discounted rates.
Cons
The only window coverings were block out blinds, no sheers. The walk to reception included some outdoor areas. Some rooms faced right onto an outdoor corridor. This was pretty cold in Winter. It drops to minus 3 overnight. The staff advised how to remove ice form our windscreen if needed!
The room service was ok. I think there was a single shared kitchen for the fine dining restaurant, casual dining bar and room service menu. The bar was a bit full, and we ended up seated near a family playing a never ending game of pool.
There's an independent day spa on site, though prices could not compete with beauty and massage services available in the town centre.
I would definitely come back again. A weekend wasn't long enough.

After a stay early March 2018 I received an email asking me to review this property. And I was asked at the end of the survey if I would like someone to call me as a follow-up. I said yes - but no-one ever got in touch.

The high points were the excellent dinner at the Harvest restaurant, and the excellent buffet breakfast at Gazebo - where freshly cooked hot dishes are served at the table. Taylor the Gazebo waitress is a stand-out, super friendly and genuine. So also Nathan the breakfast chef. Five stars.

The low point was that our room was sold as sleeping 4 people - a King bed and a Queen sofa-bed. The Queen sofa-bed was a tired and horrid relic from the 80's, with the saggy lattice wire springs, and a mattress where an outline of all the coil springs are visible under the thin cotton mattress cover. Worse, the bare springs themselves stick out around the edge of the mattress. Diabolically uncomfortable, and absolutely impossible to sleep on. Had to sleep on the floor. Yet still these room types are sold as sleeping 4 adults. One star.

I mentioned in my email review that this must surely be the worst bed in the entire IHG global network of hotels. I'm sure if the powers that be at IHG HQ at Denham in England were aware of this situation they would immediately take steps to rectify.

I recently stayed there with a work event. Overall it is OK but I was quite put off by the service during a dinner one night with rude staff (not all) that treated us like a burden and the constant slow service. Talk about service with a grimace.

Seriously guys, I am aware hospitality is a tough industry but any gripes you have with your home or work life should be sorted before facing your customers.

Apart from that the facilities are nice but have the potential for much more. Also the Cheesecake served at lunch was pretty good.

Beautiful location, excellent service and wonderful food. This place ticks all the right boxes.
I Highly recommend the Crownefor weekends away from the hustle and bustle.
The day spa onsite is a slice of heaven.
Comfy beds and pillows and really nice room layout. We enjoyed an indulgent high tea that accommodated 3 food allergies without missing a beat. Will return and soon.

Our travel to Hawkesbury Valley was certainly enhanced and made worth the trip by Crowne Plaza. The hotel is a perfect gate away not too far from Sydney with serene accomodation along with some delicious wings, great cocktails, a massive breakfast and greenery all around.

Special thanks to Cindy for arranging the trip along with Amy for a great reception. Also the amazing ladies behind the bar and room attendant staff were simply a joy to interact with. The hotel team simply went above and beyond and didn t let us doubt our decision to spend my birthday there even for a minute. We ll be back for sure!

Staff were lovely, food was wonderful & venue was clean tidy & well presented. Grounds were lovely, neat & tidy! Car parking is very tight, not very much of it, and smelled a bit to much of cow fertiliser. But may have been the neighborhood not gardens. Had an all day conference; am tea, lunch, pm tea & dinner, all food was well prepared, fresh & very tasty. Windsor Room and Grand Ball Room were very nice. Chairs a bit to firm for all day seating. Lighting was perfect, tech was all working well. Rooms did Not have any smell. Restrooms were clean, well lit & smelled fresh. Bar was clean, no sticky bar. Table settings were well presented, clean, glassware & silverware was spotless. Staff for everything were nice, smiling, helpful & in a Goodwood in general. Over all a very nice place. 3.5 stars

Had a great short winter break there and loved it. Comfortable, relaxing and value for money. But the stand out was/were the people who worked there - every interaction was friendly, pleasant, natural. Thanks

Staff where totally unhelpful when there was a mix up with my company's payment method. On check out I was asked to pay for my room which my company had suppield.

After saying that I was not paying, the staff member 'searched' on my account record and said he had found the company chargeback.

6 hours later my personal credit card was nearly $1000 AUD. I called the hotel and was told I would be sent an invoice and that they could not help me.

If the staff member on check out had done his job properly I could have fixed any issues during business hours on Friday. Now my frist weekend home in three weeks is totally ruined thanks to Crown Plaza.

Do not stay at this hotel.

We had an amazing experience with Cloud9 and the staff were very experienced and friendly. The whole experience was so surreal and views were on point (at one point, the moon and sun were out at the same time with one side of the sky being purple and the other orange). Started off very chilly in the morning so best to dress warm but once you're up in the air the heat from the flames will keep you nice and toasty

Service was friendly, and the restaraunts had a variety of different foods to select from.

The rooms were quite dated, the plastic shutters were a very noticeably odd addition, the bathroom was quite small and had low ceilings.

I didn't actually stay there the night, but rather had dinner there. The service at the restaurant was very good and so was the food. During our meal we were entertained with a pianist who played throughout the night.

The restaurant manager would welcome his guests and visited the tables to make sure we were satisfied with everything.

It was our first time we dined at this restaurant and we heard they regularly updated the menu and have organised entertainment as well.

We would recommend the restaurant and will most certainly try it again.a

The rooms have no minibar. The pool is more like a very large bath indoors. But I don't think there is much else for hotel accommodation in this area. The restaurant is rather small and the you will need to book a table for a Friday or weekend dinner. There's a snooker table in the bar., which is neat. This hotel would be a nice venue for functions and weddings. The wifi is patchy in some sections.

This is a nice hotel. When we first moved to Australia we stayed here for almost a month and currently live down the road. It's a nice hotel to stay at if you're planning to explore the local area and the Blue Mountains or as an escape from the city.

We had a very pleasant afternoon and evening and then breakfast at the hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful, check in was easy. Had help with bags. Comfy king-size bed, nice room, bathroom was good. Lovely indoor pool which we made use of before a pleasant dinner in the dining room /bar. Breakfast was well laid out and hot, and served in a lovely sunny room. Could not have asked for more!

Great ambiance for my daughter's wedding. Beautiful chapel and gardens. Alas, the hotel messed up the booking (booked a day late) and then staff forced the bridesmaids to clear their rooms immediately after the service before photographs. This despite management previously agreeing to allow a late check-out.
This is a simple miscommunication that could easily be resolved. Overall we enjoyed the experience, in would just recommend you be very clear with plans, and meet the staff executing them early on the day so everyone knows what's going on.
