Organized a group trip here for 32 friends. The whole experience was a nightmare. You really get what you pay for. They will nickel and dime you for absolutely everything. I highly advise against using their catering service for groups. They provide the absolute bare minimum and charge an insane amount for the value of what you get. We paid over $45 per person for a dinner that likely cost them no more than $8 per person and it truly reflected that. The staff was not accommodating at all and hospitality was definitely not at the forefront of their training. None of our complaints were taken seriously and nothing was ever done to resolve our issues. Overall left feeling very disappointed and totally ripped off.

We LOVED this hotel! The rooms were clean, fun colors, and ours opened on to little private patios on the pool area, where hummingbirds were feeding among the flowers. The staff were nice and helpful. The best thing was there was a great relaxed atmosphere yet with attention to small details for our comfort. We were on a 3 generation family vacation to Las Vegas with airline connections that went so awry that we just bagged the whole thing and went to Palm Springs instead at the last minute. We couldn't have been any happier with this hotel.

I cant rate the rooms I've always came for the pool parties on Saturday and Sunday. But judging from the atmosphere this hotels seems very young and fresh. Cool vibrant colors the lobby has games and is very laid back. Perfect place for a girls or boys get away trip. Theres a nice size pool and jacuzzi and more games out side. On the weekends theres a live dj. Good vibes, lots of fun. One of my favorite places to visit when I'm in town

Horrible. This place is the actual worst. If you're visiting Palm Springs for any type of event, especially avoid this place. There is literally no lighting in these rooms. My friend and I are visiting for a wedding, and we've been doing our hair and makeup in front of the sliding glass door, when it's light out, because otherwise you can't see. The WiFi only randomly works. It kicks you out sporadically and doesn't allow you to log back in. The walls are paper thin, so you can actually hear snoring, sex, walking, pretty much anything the people above or next to you are doing. Everything is outdated. We had to request 3 different irons to get one that worked. The last one seemed like the least old, not new, but least old...Still didn't work well, but at least got warm, unlike the first two.
The front desk staff was very unaccommodating when we mentioned some of the issues we were having. They didn't even offer a simple "sorry". They basically told us too bad, and offered no help for the remainder of our stay. I noticed the owner responded to a previous comment, that he had wished these issues would have been brought up while the guest was still here, but we did that, and it was of very little importance to whomever we spoke to.

The website put a bunch of colorful photos up and made this place appear very, very different than it actually is. DO NOT be fooled by that. They have some really cool, instagram worthy, decor in the lobby to make it seem cool, but the actual guest rooms are quite the opposite. Even if you do take a colorful pic to post online, you most likely can't get onto the WiFi anyway.

Like I said, if you are visiting Palm Springs for any type of event, avoid this place. There are far better options. You won't be able to get ready, you won't be able to get any rest, and you won't be able to even get online. I couldn't even get enough connection to get an Uber to get the hell outta here. Do yourself a favor and look at the other options Palm Springs has to offer.

I m amending my review. This is my last morning here and I woke up to find a huge roach in my clothes. Wanted to make sure i included that. I thought we were the lucky ones who didn t have a roach encounter, but I spoke too soon.

I have stayed at this hotel about 5 times over the past 3 years. The front desk and cleaning staff are always extremely nice and attentive. Our last stay the room was an hour late; however we were put into a smaller room until our larger room was ready. The restaurant down stairs has amazing Mexican food and nice strong drinks. The pool outdoors is a great size and has a bar as well. They do play music loudly during the day; however this does not bother me. It's a very lively hotel and the people staying here are usually pretty nice and social. I recommend this place definitely.

The Saguaro has large rooms with some very "interesting" decor. The service was definitely to par, but nothing really special. The only reason you want to be here is if you're trying to party.... That's where the Saguaro shines. Not at all family friendly.

I was a patron this weekend at the Palms Springs location.

Here are the reasons:
1. Right when we got to the hotel, we were already met with the fact that the weekend was "overbooked" and because of that they would be "doing us a favor" and giving us two suites instead of a suite with a king bed and queen bed like we originally paid for along with 2 other rooms. It was an inconvenience because we wanted to stay with the bride but also give her her own bed but whatever, we can roll with it and make the best of it.

2. We got to the room and realized they never gave us keys for one room. Had to go back and ask for they keys to the one room. Again, inconvenient.

5. At check-in they told me that we had $60 in credits at the hotel, and if we would like to use it we would have to a) use it only on Saturday b) charge it $20 per room. When I checked out they said that I charged $20 to the "comped" room aka the room that you originally messed up and that I would be charged the $20. After that, I was pretty upset because they never clarified which rooms had to be stated for the credit. The manager finally gave it to us back but not before saying "it's only $20" with an attitude. Absolute worst hospitality.

6. At checkout, they told us they will be needing to charge $5 tax for each room after the fact. I asked why this tax wasn't in the original billing when we booked. They responded "taxes change every day" I can't make this up.

7. Before our stay, we were told to do a credit card authorization. It wasn't sent the original day we requested. I called back the next day, and the manager said that we needed to give them 48 hours to send per policy. I am not a mind reader--how was I supposed to know it was a 48 hours timeline. We needed it the next day and fortunately we were able to do everything on time.

The best part about the hotel was the paint job, front desk, and the housekeepers, they were nice and attentive. I feel bad they have to work for a manager that is so rude and probably tell you not to treat customers with hospitality, care, and service. It's really sad and our entire group was EXTREMELY disappointed.

Stayed here for a conference in Mid May 2013. Hotel itself looks like a circus, painted with bizarre colours such as lime green and pylon orange. Appears to be a former cheap motel with some paint and new TV's. Comes with convenient 'resort fee' that will cost you an extra $20.00/day on top of your stay. They have bicycles you can sign out to ride around town with. As a student this was perfect as my conference was several km down the road. Second day of conference my signed out bicycle, an old cruiser with faulty brakes and a cheap paint job, was stolen from outside my conference building. The Saguaro hit me with a $700.00 charge for losing their garage sale quality bike. Talked them down to about $500.00. Dealing with the incident was a nightmare. The staff was challenging to contact are rarely returned calls when they said they would. This place is way overpriced and not worth your time. If you do stay here, do not sign out a bike (trust me).

We stopped because it was iconic but were sorely disappointed because it was a filthy motel that looked like a run down party zone. Not family friendly in my opinion due to all the drunks excessive partying etc all around.

It really breaks my heart to have to write a negative review for this hotel, as it holds a dear place in my heart as a rainbow color enthusiast. The service was so terrible that it's just depressing. We checked in and lugged our stuff upstairs to open the door to a messy room that had not even been cleaned yet by housekeeping. It totally ruined the moment I was so excited about, showing my boyfriend how cute the rooms are. The front desk employee didn't actually respond after we told her what happened, she just clicked around on the computer for a few minutes before handing us new room cards casually saying she upgraded our room to a pool view for the inconvenience. She didn't really apologize and was very passive about it. Then we got to our new room and there was no rainbow blanket on the bed, which is like the finishing touch of their look and how rooms are advertised and have been for years. I called and the employee said "oh they're extra now", as in the rooms with them cost more?! That's not clear anywhere in the booking process. She didn't give any details on the room differences either so I would know for next time. She said she would have one sent to our room, and it never came! We go down to the pool and there are no towels left. Maintenance/security staff at the pool tell us they give out pool towels at the front desk. The annoyed front desk employee asks me who told me that, and says that was their old policy. She then explains to me that pool towels need to be washed frequently and that she's already made three calls to housekeeping and they're working on it. No sincere apology, nothing. I asked for extra room towels to be delivered so we could go back to the room and at least have some towels to use. The towels never were delivered to our room, and we waited another 30 minutes before pool towels actually were brought out to the hotel. It was one disappoint after another. The staff is in desperate need of some high quality customer service training and performance management. I absolutely live for the aesthetic of this hotel and hope this place will improve its service.

Needs updating, bathtub repairs baseboards walls, signs that tell you how to get to lobby, Ice machine, elevator you end up walking around three sides of the building before finding out you went down the wrong steps to an exit that puts you on the opposite side of the building and walk around three sides of the building again to get to the lobby.

So many things to say. So the hotel is very Palm springs: bright colors, very retro, and motel-esq. The decor isn't going to be for everyone. Honestly it's a little obnoxious but I get it. The pool is amazing: tons of chairs, umbrellas, and a outside bar. The gym is really nice too.

Good amenities ( pool, hammocks, gym, bikes, spa ) in an okay location ( there is a shuttle to Dt Palm springs that compensates ). The hotel has fun decor. Rooms aren't very nice.. beds uncomfortable , bathroom layout doesn't make sense, brightly colored and fun but really just a jazzed up motel 6 on terms of room quality. No coffee maker ( drip coffee costs 4 dollars in the coffee shop is your only option. So 4 stars for amenities 2 stars for hotel, averages to three stars.

We booked the patio suite and had a rough experience across the board. The room smells, the carpet was wet when we got it, the location is bad, the room is incredibly dark. I'm only giving 2 stars because I've liked other rooms I've stayed in here. Really disappointed with the suite, would not spend the extra money again.

Stayed there for couple nights. They didn't service the room between the 2 nights despite the side clearly asking for the room to be serviced as we were out. House keeping personnel was servicing the room next door as we left. Also forgot my Bose earphone in the room. Try to call them on the very phone number of the Google link, phone is out of service. My wife had another phone number, got a hold of them, they never called back. We tried to call them, they never pick up. Disappointed

I dont know how this place has such good reviews, it's like a bad hotel painted with bright colours to make it seem hip. The walls are paper thin so you can literally hear your neighbors snoring/chatting. The shower has such strong pressure that the shower head won't stay put and it sprays everywhere. The refrigerator in the room is so loud at night it's like an alarm clock within itself. Yeah I guess the pool and games area are decent but on a Saturday night at 10:00 there was no one in sight, understanding that it is a slower season but this hotel is almost branded as a party hotel. Would have much rather have stayed at the last hotel I was at. This hotel is almost like false advertising, the websites all look amazing but it absolutely isn't.

Beyond the colored-painted walls, this is just an old-fashioned hotel. Once you enter the room you will notice that the walls are dirty and aging. You can hear everything, and I MEAN EVERYTHING from your neighbors. You can also hear the traffic from the street pretty well. The customer service is very poor as well. Can you believe that a 4-star hotel doesn't have a coffee maker in the room (regardless of the advertisement) nor a microwave, not even by request. And not even a complimentary cup of coffee? You will need to buy that for $4. You pay a $40 resort fee in addition to your base fare but forget about receiving the basics. Also, the parking lot is filled with garbage all over the place. The list goes on, but the bottom line is that I would hate for you and your loved ones to fall for the misleading pictures that they post online.

I will start by saying that the staff here are very friendly and nice. It does take awhile to get someone on the phone from the room. However, the clientele are young, stay up late, and go back to the room to party. We were in a room next door to people playing loud music and talking loudly until 4am. The front desk called their room, but that only resulted in the music being turned off. The day beds are nice by the pool, and the drinks are good and reasonablely priced, but not strong. My biggest contention was the pool. Granted it was 4th of July weekend, but the water in the pool was so filthy, filmy, and full of hair that I did not want to go in...and it was 110F. In summary, the demographics of this hotel are people in their 20s, and from the Riverside/Corona area. Being from Los Angeles and in my 30s, I think I would be more comfortable with an older, more diverse crowd.

Normally the hotel has cool vibe but the people staying via the Groupon deal with kids complaining about noise need to research the hotel as to what the vibe is about prior to booking the deal. Don't be Debbie downers. Normally we love the staying here but this visit the vibe was way off. So now we need to find another hotel/resort in the Palm Springs area that is pet friendly due to boring shady parents or boring people that don't like normal noise. Obviously they don't go to Las Vegas or know the hotel vibe.

Had a one night stay there. After a long day of driving the moment I checked in I went and had some amazing tacos and beer at their resto. After that I took advantage of the hot tub and pool open till midnight. I had such an amazing relaxing short stay there but I will definitely come back. Thanks to the whole team!

I've stayed at the Saguaro several times, and it's always enjoyable. It's not the most upscale of hotels, but it's comfortable and colorful. It's starting to get a bit worn down around the edges, and could use a new coat of paint in a few areas. Tacos at El Jeffe are good, as are the margaritas - if you're there on a Tuesday, taco Tuesday is fun. A friend had some issues with his room, which were eventually resolved, but ours was fine.

+ Upgraded to a room with a better view
- Poor room conditions (peeling wallpaper, ants in the bathtub) with limited amenities (broken refrigerator)
- Construction noise and foot traffic by the pool throughout the day. Not exactly the chill poolside vibes you want.
- Overall, expensive and really overpriced for what you get as a hotel guest. For this cost, you d be better off renting an Airbnb.

Lovely staff. The front desk, Bar, and room staff made for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. As a younger adult this was THEE hot place to stay. However being over the age of 30+ here would perhaps not be up to par. It s a younger influencer hotel to stay at- not a bad thing. It was under construction when we stayed but the room was not taken care of, beyond a sheet change(dirty carpet, mold in shower... etc..)This does not discredit the hotel it s just perhaps a bit different from a standard hotel rooms/ living. If that s what you re after- go for it! Central location

Good (large) hotel. Wouldn't recommend paying full price as there are usually discounts to be found. Clean rooms with all the necessities. Location is walking distance to grocery store, coffee shop and a few small restaurants. Didn't use the pool facilities. Cool taco bar located downstairs with tasty and filling tacos, though not exactly cheap. Would definitely go back.

Trendy Hotel, the Saguaro Hotel in Palm Springs is a place for bloggers, and instagramers!!!! colorful place for Happy people!! no children admitted!! so no families..... why is tht!?? maybe because of the wild splash parties during week ends!! A DJ manages the sound level ( very high!!) gorgeous girls and muscled and tattoed guys in the pool!! one could think we are living in a RAP video!!! just one shadow on the picture..... we spent 4 or 5 nightsx there, the elevators were OUT OF ORDER, and a complicated system of staircases allowed us to our room, kind of maze. From the lobby, we had to come up 1 flight of stairs, then go down through another one and then finally get to our room...... quite weird!!!!!! otherwise, a great place to chill!!

We were invited to come over to this Hotel for a pool party and we had an amazing time! They get four stars because we did not stay at the hotel but we partied here! The atmosphere and the vibe very live! Everyone was having fun and no drama!!!

Love love the design and vibrant colors surrounding the hotel. We came to party in neon theme! How awesome is that? We also met and partied with some great people! The hotel had lush grass and great cabanas! Great staff and servers, they never let your ice get watered down! They offered bottle service and food but they also had a bar by the pool.

Only thing, I can say about the pool is that it can be bigger since they invite people for the party it can get very crowded!!!

(Italian language)

(Italian language)

I was a guest of this hotel in the second half of September 2018.

CLEANING:

I make a small GENERIC premise (which does NOT specifically concern this Hotel): I am fussy, as regards cleanliness, so much so that if I find even "half a finger" of dust - using a popular Italian expression - I do not consider any clean environment.
Well, according to my evaluation criteria, for me, this Hotel is clean (I have seen the cleaners cleaning).

DECORATION:

The environment is decent. The parquet in my room had a couple of stains and this can obviously give the wrong PERCEPTION that the room is not decent. This perception is wrong, since the whole environment is more than decent.

REACHABILITY:

The hotel can be reached both by taxi (the ride costs about $ 15.00) and by public transport: just take bus number 30 from the airport.

STAFF:

The staff is made MAINLY by very young people, they will all be less than 30 years old). Either way, everyone is professional and kind.

DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICES OFFERED:

The hotel offers the following services:
- Swimming pool (so, bring your bathing suit!);
- Beauty treatments (except eyebrows, manicures and pedicures, the hotel offers facial treatments, massages of various types);
- Room service.

ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION:

The entrance is a very youthful environment: in addition to the reception area (which is not very large), there are also a small sitting room and a place for bicycles. The colors are very bright and contrasting with each other: we go from the indigo colored carpet to the brown colored coffee tables.

From the entrance, you can reach the hotel bar, which is actually a place in itself. Usually, the bar gets busy on Saturday nights, since it is a popular cocktail bar. This last place is an environment, in which it is pleasant to be.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROOM:

All the rooms have the characteristic of being associated with a color. All the red rooms, for example, have red furniture and the same goes for the other colors.
The size is medium. Inside there are: a safe, an ironing board, an iron, an empty fridge, a USB socket and a phone.
The room I stayed in had a double bed and was very comfortable.

IN CONCLUSION, I recommend this Hotel for the following reasons:
1. In Palm Springs it is very famous: whatever taxi you get on, you just need to say "Saguaro Hotel" which will take you with your eyes closed, without even turning on the navigator.
2. If you want to stay in a youthful, but NOT chaotic environment.
