Went there with friends to the pool, which is open to locals and anyone who wants to swim and get out of the heat. The atmosphere is great, and it's a good place to come if you just want to hang out.

I booked a room for 2 nights on a wedding block rate of $110/night plus a $25 resort fee, somehow at check in, the total rang up at over $350. After asking the staff how it could possibly be that high, they quickly ran through a confusing system of fees and extra on site charges. The bottom-end "well" drinks cost on average $13+ with beers being around $9. The ceiling in my room creaked when the guests upstairs walked around which limited my ability to sleep. The handle of the shower broke off and I had to reconfigure a way to use the shower properly. Overall the amenities were massively overpriced, and although the energy in the hotel is great, I don't feel that I got the proper utility from the amount of money that I spent.
To start...We arrived before the restaurant open but were greeted by Felipe with opens arms. Very friendly! The margaritas were the best we've had in a long time. The food was really delicious. Definitely a place you need try when your in the Palm Springs area.
Definitely not 4 stars as some of the reviews claim. This is an overpriced MOTEL that has been painted with bright colors to trick you into thinking it s been upgraded, but it hasn t. The air conditioner does not work well. It s way too warm to sleep in the room. Also, the phone in the room doesn t even work so it s difficult to contact anyone working here, even from my cell. They are totally understaffed.
The people giving this place 4 stars must be 19 year olds who love the house music they play at the pool (I am not against but the small pool is the ONLY thing this place has going for them). Would not recommend or ever stay here again.
Dirty! From the hall way with beer caps, stained carpets and general filth to the dirty bed linens this property is not cleaned. On my way to my room I had to walk around a leaky ceiling and soaked carpet.
Chill family vibe, but thin walls. Staff is very friendly and accommodating though. Colorful decor and mod artwork. Central pool is great for pool parties.
This is one of my favorite places on earth and even more so since they renovated it!!! The rooms are so cute and fun and you simply cannot beat the pool or the views! Also the restaurant - El Jefe - is delicious and has some great happy hour deals!
Overall the hotel is pretty nice if you get a good deal on it. The rooms are hastily painted and feel a bit cheap but they are clean and comfortable. The pool is nice and there are a number of amenities on the property. I'd stay here again.
This place was awesome! Stayed there for the weekend and had a blast. There was a pool party on Saturday with tons of people and a DJ. The rooms are just basic, but the king sized bed was comfortable. I will definitely be planning another trip out there soon!
Very very very bad. I don't want to give it one star. This is a very bad hotel, staying overnight, public parking space and park by myself no marked it valet parking that parking fee $37dollars service fee $66 and $242 said that the wrong. mistaken charge. booking time said that the room charges include all the expenses, come out of these miscellaneous charges they can not say clearly, the bill did not have any labels, bad reviews, I hope nobody will stay in this terrible hotel, not even two star standard.
From a place that's not really much to look at from the front, it sure is poppin with the young crowd!!! My daughters and I went in for a massage, which by the way, was absolutely AMAZING!!! (Groupon) Then we went out by the pool area to hang out for awhile and after, to a yoga class on the second floor. Not bad for a old throwback looking hotel. I would definitely go back for the massages!
Really hipster and colorful. Well decorated. But not particularly clean. The rooms and hallways have a gross smell that should be taken care of. The toiletries are of low quality and the bathroom feels quite dated. Great pool area and Mexican restaurant though
Was only there to attend a business event. I've driven by many times but this was my first time inside. I can't really rate it on the accommodations so I based it on the appearance. The look was stark and the design was just not a style I liked, though I'm in my 70s and tend to like a more sophisticated look. If you're in your teens, twenties or thirties, I'd imagine you might give it a higher start rating than I.
I love this hotel, from the bright colours to the cleanliness. Only issue is the food service in the banquet area. Been to three dinner functions there and their food service has always been slow
Thought it was a cheap motel with garish colors and thin walls. Just painting an old motel with bright colors, does not a resort make! Watch out to for the "resort fee" of $25. All Palm Springs motels have pools, and don't charge $25 extra (mandatory) to use them or to self-park.
last night i checked into the @saguarohotels in palm springs for a couple days to myself. i looked at the map the girl at checkin gave me and saw it was next door to the gym and told her i was a light sleeper and preferred not to be next door to the gym. she said i wouldn t hear anything. low and behold i was up half the night from banging noises.
this morning i went out onto the balcony only to find a dead cockroach. cute.
i went to the front desk to explain my situation and ask to have my room changed. she said there was no rooms available now but i can move when one becomes available. i asked her if i left my stuff packed up if someone can move it because i didn t want to wait around all day. she said no because they were short staffed. you being short staffed sounds like a you problem, not a me problem.
i worked in hotels for the better part of my early twenties and all of the above is not okay. if the girl at checkin would ve just listened to me initially and moved my room all the other problems that followed could ve been avoided.
Went with my friends to the Saguaro bar. Best time ever. Really good happy hour Thursday night along with Dusty Storm MC with karaoke fun fun fun time. Great happy hour food and drinks.
Pretty colorful Miami trendy style hotel. Rooms are very clean. Nicely lit, huge tv, fridge and super comfortable bed. Oh and a kick ass shower. On the grounds there is plenty to do(fire pits ,chucko, boche ball, hammocks, table tennis) to name a few.. really nice place to eat( el jefe) on site, that also delivers to you pool side and to your room. Huge pool and two hot tubs. Music playing by the pool all day and bar by the pool as well. Very lively hotel.. weekday not to bad, weekends bring in a huge crowd though. Even events are held at this pool. So your looking for relaxation or to party choose your dates wisely.. center min away from downtown. Great location over all. Nice they have a huge shopping center across the ways from you that has a super market in.
3/5 - Good, not great. Loved the tequila bar, thought the colors were cool, and the pool was fun. Did not enjoy the toilet that kept running all night, even after maintenance looked at it, we weren't offered a new room. Models and camera men stomping on the roof at 7:30 AM, also not appreciated (see aforementioned awesome tequila bar).
This place is wonderful!! All the colors make it very bright and happy. I mean how can you not be happy with purple carpet?! . The rooms are very clean, beds very comfortable. Soft and fluffy pillows. Each room has a good sized small refrigerator in it and a safe. Also every staff member is so nice and everyone says hi or actually talks to you. They are all very helpful whether its where something is or whats the best coffee to get. They do offer room service and food at the pool area. You can pay cash or have it charged to your room. Also its not a stuffy, uptight every one's a "10" perfect group. There is a wide variety of patrons. (Im a little over weight, and i was very comfortable at the pool). I would definitely return here!
We had our photo booth Desert Luna Photobooths here for Kristel + Ray s wedding and had so much fun!!! Couldn t recommend this place more! We love the staff, the vendors everyone involved. Such a fun place to have a wedding
Place was a great stay ,but was promised a pool view room. Upon arrival to my room, the view was obstructed by bushes and plants. Other than that place was great
Fabulously fun and funky! Love the Decor; Happy and colorful. Great poolside service, fun drinks, and cute restaurant. Staff is super friendly. Will stay here again.
It's a very colorful.place. the food is really good. The decor is "quirky modern and colorful. From the neon lights, and purple carpet to will make you smile. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Also loved the nostalgia of the Viewmaster in our room.
Not greeted warmly at all, and that is first impression. She just stared at me. Overall, nice amenities, definitely showing wear and tear. Nice pool, restaurant now closed and used for events. I hope they take time to enhance polish on things.
Stay during the week for max pool time without all the bass. If you do stay during the weekend, get up early to claim your lounge chair by the pool! Hit El Jefe for the best tacos and micheledas.
A dirty rag was left in the room. The building is literally a 1970s building with original furniture painted in gaudy colors (purple, pine, orange). It's a Super 8/Motel 6 with a fancy lobby and fresh paint. Along with brightly colored furniture the bathrooms and painted solid bright colors (mine was pure bright orange...no accent colors), and carpet is all purple. Bathroom vanity, the table with no chair and empty clipboard, TV stand and bed frames appear to all be original 1970s-era furniture that was just painted over to turn the place over as cheaply as possible. It's an assault on the senses when you wake up to pee in the middle of the night and the motion sensing light (the one modern touch) int he bathroom automatically blasts you with maximum lighting on an all-orange bathroom. Lots of younger college aged people partying it seems. If you are looking for a party might be a fine place - if you just want a nice 4-star hotel experience look elsewhere. You will find nicer rooms and more helpful staff at a 2 or even 3 star chain facility.
This hotel is a 2 star--at best. The check in process was easy and the room it's self seemed pretty clean. Beyond that, I only have negative feedback. The property in general was a dump. Trash was everywhere. The stairwells and elevators were disgusting. Room service trays and trash sat outside of guest rooms for days. The pool was murky in color. The day beds were nasty. Many of the pool umbrellas were broken. Part of the pool area where one of the jacuzzis is located was caution taped off...but no one to be seen working on it for the 3 days we were there. I had didn't have very high expectations given the price point, but it still disappointed tremendously.
This is definitely a party hotel. I wouldn t take a family here with kids. The rooms are pretty decent actually. They are well maintained. The hallways and elevators not as much. Sometime they smell funny. There is a small gym room with some cardio machines and dumbbells up to 50lbs. The pool is open to the public some days, and they had a dj on both Friday and Saturday when I was there. It is loud music. Parking is free and convenient. There are restaurants near by. Downtown isn t too far away either. I wouldn t mind staying here again to party a bit.
Just got back from Palm Springs for my birthday weekend I stayed at Saguaro because it looked beautiful online. Literally the day before I go there I see a review stating the hotel had bed bugs but by this point it was to late to cancel. So once I got there I brought up my concern & they insured whenever they have problems they handle them immediately. Overall I didn't have a problem w my room wish we had a microwave though So day to was Saturday that's the day of the day party me and my friends were having a blast we meet a lot of new people, until On of your security staff named TARA started harassing me and my friends when we weren't doing anything wrong Telling us to move when we weren't bothering anyone in the area that we were in & she was just making us feel uncomfortable. She harassed us twice , then decides to ask my friend if she can check her bag when she didn't ask anyone else this so I'm wondering why are u ruining my birthday being a bully to paying guest. Anyways I didn't feel welcome her so I won't be back
Not a family place. But that's okay. It caters to a much younger progressive crowd. The hotel is really cool. The AC sucks that's not really a big issue. Their pool rocks and so does their staff
I didn't stay at the hotel, but we had drinks and snacks at the hotel bar. The hotel lobby has been recently renovated and has a young, fresh look. There are ping pong tables and neon lights throughout.
The bar is reasonable and there's a pretty good happy hour where you can buy $4 pints. However, the real star of the bar is the fish tacos. Our group tried four different kinds of tacos, and we all agreed that the fish tacos were the best. We even placed two additional orders because they were so delicious. They were a bit spicy, but we enjoyed that. But if spice bothers you, be aware.
The location of the hotel is central to an older part of Palm Springs which I'm not as familiar with, but it is right along the highway which is busy at all times of the day.
I don't know if I'd stay in the hotel, but I'd definitely visit again for the fish tacos.
I've never been kicked out of a hotel before, never the less for someone else's actions. Which is what happened here. I was asked to leave this hotel at 10pm because security made an assumption that wasn't true and didnt know how to handle a situation they couldn't prove or disprove. Regardless the hotel was okay. You could see that this was a much older hotel with a few gallons of paint on the walls, the colors were nice but its pretty sad when the nicest part of your room is the paint. The pool was nice, but even the "decorate lifeguard tower" was a testiment to the hotels idealism of everything "looking good" but certainly not being authetic or "actually nice". It seemed everything had a fake/ pretend luxury feel to it. The setup of the hotel is wierd and can make it hard to get around and i took the elevator once the whole time i was there and after waiting 5 minutes for an elevator that only goes to 3 different floors i gave up and took the stairs. Finally as someone else said almost all the hotels in palm springs have pools, after walking around all night (getting food, a phone charger, and another room) I ended up at the Quilalty Inn at 5am in the morning which had a POOL and the SAME QUAILTY ROOMS for $68 (NO RESORT FEE OF $25) a night.
DO NOT STAY HERE IF UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE KICKED OUT ON A WHIM AND WALK AROUND PALMSPRINGS ALL NIGHT TRYING TO FIND ANOTHER HOTEL THAT STILL HAS SOMEONE WORKING THE LOBBY LATE NIGHT/ EARLY MORNING.
cute lobby, definitely 50s vibes, almost like right out of a barbie show. however, rooms we not updated and hallways were covered in purple carpeting. also smelled funky.
The decor is very aesthetically pleasing. However, some of the rooms do look they need a bit of maintenance. Our room door was a little wonky, the walls in the rooms are paper thin, and some of the room amenities were a bit dated. The pool was super packed during the day because of the Memorial Day pool parties, so I would recommend getting there early if you want to reserve the cabanas.
DISGUSTING ROOMS!!! Super unsanitary there was mold in bathroom, scuffs all over the ceiling, walls and splattered substances all over that i don t want to start on about. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere that isn t so expensive and isn t a frat party motel 6 facility!
