Beautiful property. Built 150 (?) years ago as a private residence, now a 5 star resort. The internet connection truly sucks, with many dropped connections. Don't bother trying to video Skype. Even though a speed test says 10 mbit, it's more like we're back in the 90s again with an old DSL connection. Superb rooms, well appointed, amazing staff, great food. Only knock is the wifi. Would stay here again.

My wife and I LOVE staying at the Royal Palms. We ve been here a few times now and keep coming back because of so many reasons: the staff, no matter who you re interacting with (front desk, pool, bar, housekeeping) is always so kind and welcoming, the property looks so nice and is very well-maintained, the casitas are so nice, and the entire experience is just 5 stars! Look no further... this is an amazing resort in a fantastic location! We recommend Royal Palms!!

Manhattan's done right, T Cook's Burger was delicious and the wings were ok. A sophisticated look with a 3-6pm happy hour, perfect for a date or meeting friends who are visiting. It was not crowded at all for a Friday night.

My wife and I joined my parents here for Christmas brunch and it was fantastic. A beautiful property with incredibly attentive and happy-to-help staff. The food was as incredible as the choices. After we ate, my wife and I walked around the property and it was one of a kind, truly a sight to see. We will definitely be getting a room here soon!

Air conditioning is non existent in bed room. So we upgraded and Stayed in presidential suite. It was in need if repairs and just appeared to be worn out and not cleaned in months. Dead cockaroaches and zero shine. Same non existent air conditioning in bedroom. So slept on couch till 3 am and then it was barely adequate. For a five star resort ??????? The day manager was awesome but night mgr told us it was self serve to confirm our boarding passes. Omg. Restaurant was zero stars. Poor attempt to make good food great. Again rest mgr was gracious. But wasted a meal. Won't go there again.

A one -of-a-kind resort. Excellent service and calming atmosphere. We appreciated Jake and the extra support he gave us in making our reservation and in the special welcome for us upon arrival. Terrific dinner at TJ Cooks Superb experience in every way.

Had a wonderful stay here (as always!) - from the valet service to the front desk to the pool attendants, the entire staff is helpful and courteous. The hotel grounds are comfortable and secluded. It's a relaxing atmosphere through and through. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable, almost better than being at home! We always love our stay at Royal Palms!

Beautiful Historic Quaint property.

Beautiful Historic Quaint property.
Not your typical salesman hotel.
Duncan is amazing and personable upon your arrival.
Everyone on the grounds is cordial and helpful.
We would recommend this as a place to stay not just for a nice room but beautiful grounds and nice location in town.

The grounds are beautiful. The service is very friendly. Valet was included and they promptly brought our bags to the room. Complimentary champagne at check in was a nice touch. Pool is 24 hours which is nice. Room was large and classic but somewhat underfurnished. They had a ton a space but not much to fill it. We booked the Thanksgiving buffet. Food was high quality but overpriced. The Thanksgiving appetizers and drinks at T Cooks we're similar overpriced. The cheese platter and charcuterie board we're basic and really uninteresting. If you stay here, get ready to pay alot more for the services that make staying here worth while (room service, restaurants, spa, etc....) For the price you pay I feel you could get more elsewhere.

We went for the Christmas buffetand everything was amazing. Thwre was a huge selection of food and it was some of the best I've had. The service was equally excellent and they were super friendly and on top of anything we needed. Will definitely go again next year!

Wow. What a beautiful oasis. The property and buildings are quite unique with numerous outdoor and indoor fireplaces they keep lit, pools, fountains, walkways, outdoor socializing and eating areas, etc. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a wedding.

The rooms are also very impressive with deluxe bedding mattresses- not like your typical Marriott or Hilton beds but much nicer. Extremely supportive but also comfortable. Large tub with separate shower.

I was attending an event at this hotel and the grounds are beautiful and lush. I got lost trying to find my way out because the place is like a maze without very many clear signs. However, while lost, I discovered more beautiful gardens and hidden locations.

This former WOW factor small luxury resort just bought by Hyatt. The entire place with the exception of rooms near the tiny pool is under what looks like a complete gut-renovation. No casitas are open and the new mod-style does not fit the Spanish feel of the resort. Don't trust pics of rooms they still post on the website. There are no designer casitas and every room in the orange groves are shut. Wishing a real hotel management company like Montage or Blackstone's LXR bought this old beauty. Hyatt is just the WRONG brand for this former gem. Spa sucked and still posting 2015 accolades a farce. People if this is a world-class spa, why no plunge pool in the middle of the desert where temps from May-Sep are 90+? Relaxation area is outdated with busy yellow and bright lights(non relaxing chill colors)!!! Don't come until renovations are done! Of course these renos not posted anywhere on website!

Very nice hotel with great amenities, great accommodating staff. Restaurant food quality and service was excellent. Overall very clean and organized.

Conference rooms are a little noisy with adjoining attendees.

My most favorite spot in the Valley! Love everything about it! Cooks has a great menu and Sunday morning buffet! You can even dine outside or great place for a wedding or party! We have held parties there and it was impeccable! Nice secluded spa & hotel!

Of course the property is nice. Pool area is a dead zone for life of any sort. Fat ugly depressed patron , served by rude combative pool staff. Gave away our day bed after we paid for it to see what the place was like. Used the wrong list to look for us, waited nearly 20 minutes for the manager to help us. The place is more like a nursing home rather than a lively resort with a diverse crowd and people that are down to earth. Oh yea, we have a lot of money as well. They messed up ROYALLY

Charming, elegant, quaint, clean, delicious. Royal Palms is an authentic alternative to the sprawling and pretentious world of corporate resorts, despite being owned by Hyatt. I spent 3 days at Royal Palms on business and was allured by its intimate courtyards, abundant citrus trees, flowing water, and well-kept landscape.

The rooms were smaller than your average resort, but that doesn't mean they felt small. They were clean and well-worn.

The room service offerings were great. They make a delicious caeser salad and the salmon was top-notch.

One of the highlights of the trip was hiking to the summit of Camelback Mountain. Only a short 7 minute drive from the resort, this hike provides an amazing experience and view of the greater PHX landscape.
