This company is running on the Name Royal London Mint this is not the government or any links to the people who make the coins.
They are a mail order company you agree to a coin and your signing up to coins being sent every month.
I ordered a coin in Jan 2013 found out how misleading the advert was and cancelled it in Jan --- Dec 2013 I have just received a bill 1 year later I have to prove that I returned the coin...

Well, I have to speak about my experience with the Royal Mint and its products in general, as I do not YET have one of these folders!

I work for the Post Office, and I have been so busy helping other people start their collections, both paid for and gathered from coins in circulation, that I missed my chance to get one of these folders!

I would love to have one of these albums, and as one of our customers brought one in to show us, I can vouch for their quality. However, if you send me one, I won't keep it for myself. It will go to a customer of ours, whom we have helped collect all the 50p coins for her son, who has undergone an operation this year. She collected the coins for him to cheer him up.

So maybe we lost a few sales by keeping an eagle eye out for coins to give her. It was time and effort well spent. Thanks as always for all the effort you put into getting the products right for your customers, and ours!

Knowledgeable and helpful guide staff but exhibits could be a lot more interactive and better explanations on video/ film. Shop was VERY DISAPPOINTING. Too many items not clearly priced and generally much too expensive for children.

It was an amazing and unique experience suitable for the whole family.
One of the unique activities that you can have here is to strike your own 50p coin.
It was amazing to step into the factory where every British coin that you have ever seen or touched was produced there.

Good knowledgeable guide. Tour lasts about an hour. No photography allowed until you reach the end tour in the exhibition room. There is free parking located about 2-300m away. It is not cheap but the whole experience was enjoyable.

Absolutely brilliant. A wonderful day out with a great deal of information and exhibits well presented. The guide Megan gave a great guided tour. The only thing wrong was that I wanted to take advantage of the coin swop and had to leave the last part of the exhibition before completing as it (the coin swap) finished at 2 pm. The upside was that I acquired 5 of the alphabet 10p's. I thought not to worry, as there is a reason to go back again. Great gift shop I could have spent hours in.

The tour was fantastic but the manager in my view was a not a nice person towards my wife especially over the new 10p had not a clue about customer service and was surprised on his attitude towards his own staff as respect saying in front of one obviously embarrassed colleauge stating I am the manager and they do as I say.

It really and truly is in the middle of nowhere, with no offense intended toward the very lovely Welsh countryside surrounding it. The Mint itself is in an unassuming location and not very prominently signposted - I made the mistake of turning into the staff car park and I bet I'm not the first. The tour was led by Siobhan who was knowledgeable and led us around the four or so areas at a brisk pace. She denied all knowledge of the upcoming 10p collection, but I think she was just being coy. Did the obligatory Strike Your Own, not sure what I was expecting but it literally is just a button press. The small museum to finish was pleasant, I found the Ironside decimal prototypes the most interesting part. In the gift shop I picked up the ubiquitous 2018 Rabbit and also a couple of Silver Dragons, which I believe are only sold onsite? In summary, not a bad day out, albeit a very long drive. I would go again, probably in 2-3 years to give them a chance to change up the displays a bit.

A really fascinating glimpse into the Royal Mint and it's history. Spy into the room where all your coins come from! After the tour you can enjoy the museum at your own pace. Perfect for coin collectors. Watch out for the shop - you can spend a small fortune there.

The royal mint is home to the monstrous money makeing machines of uk , the machines make money for over twenty different countries and additional coins for commemorative events , the royal mint experience tour lasts around 40 to 60 minutes and is lead by a tour guide with immense knowledge of the royal mint and its past . The tour is extremely educational and fun with the chance to "stamp" your own 2 pound coin , it is a perfect family trip and will keep everyone entertained . The royal mint has a large choice of food and drink at its Caffe as well as a gift shop and toilets , the site is fully accessible for wheelchair users .

Loved it. Nice day out and great to get a feel of our heritage. The guide was great and very knowledgeable but what made it the most was the Wallace and gromit modeling class. (Please note the modeling was a special event and not on all the time).

The 10p Swap days is a Brilliant idea when you have the 26 coins available, but not so good when there are 6 coins that have not been available for over a month and you travel a fair distance in the hope of having the choice.
The worst part of the visit is the friendliness of behind counter staff, not to friendly and helpfull.

Brilliant, a great tour. Also a great little museum at the end. Well worth the visit as you are also able to buy a coin to mint yourself. I was very lucky I got to mint a sherlock Holmes 50p :D
