Entry isn't cheap, but if you love history, it's worth it. The audio tour is really detailed and there are loads of beautifully preserved artefacts to look at, not to mention the baths themselves. Expect to spend a good couple of hours if you listen to most of the commentary and get a good look at everything.

Absolutely brilliant, time flew by taking in all the history of this place accompanied by the audio tour guide. For anyone planning on going, take your own headphones / ask for headphones. Everyone walking around as if they're on the phone...

The facilities were all good and the staff were all friendly. Our kids liked the children's audio guide which led to them pointing out a few facts to me. It was great being able to picture how it would have looked back in those days.

Pro-tip: You don't have to wait in the very long queue - just book online and choose the current or next time slot, then walk to the front to pick up your tickets.

It's a really cool experience. I was surprised by how much was preserved. Highly recommended.

At first I thought it was a little pricey but it was definitely worth it. There is a lot to see here, including a well-thought out museum with free guided tour ear pieces, and lots of the ruins to see too. It took about two to three hours to walk around. Definitely worth it.

Well worth a stop to check it out. Make sure you get a guide, they are free on the hour, they have valuable information about the site. Cost was 15.20 pounds each adult, 9.50 pounds up to age 16 and 13.50 pounds per student age 17 and over. FYI... Parking was a little hard to find, we drove around 3 parking lots and luckily a car was pulling out and we were able to get the spot. Great gelato ice cream parlor on the backside of the Romans Baths interence.

Definitely worth a visit. It's more than just the bath. The guided audio tour provided a very informative guide explaining the different rooms, the use of the baths. Not very handicapped friendly. Many uneven flooring, stairs and narrow corridors.

The history alone is mind blowing, the self guided audio recordings are very well done. I would highly recommend this outing if you are in the London area. The town of Bath and surrounding river and area are really beautiful.

Pretty cool place to visit. The mind boggles when imagining all of the debauchery and hooliganism that was raised within the wall of this place over the course of it's history. Nowadays, it's only a museum, but with a little imagination you More

Very much enjoyed the whole tour, The plug in ear guide was very informative, but a little long winded at times especially as we had a little boy of 9 with us. But he did enjoy it very much. Would love to go again sometime, but as I live in south Wales it could be a bit of time in the future. All the tourists enjoying their visit were very well mannered and moved and mingale nicely, especially when young children could not see things. All in all s great day.

A place well worth visiting. Allow yourself at least 2 hours to do the self tour through the Roman Baths. Loads of information to soak up and so much history behind it all. Overall, it was a really great experience!

As a historical landmark, I can't recommend The Roman Baths enough. As far as spas go, however, it fails miserably. Towel service is non-existent. Staff is downright rude, should you decide to actually try to bathe in the water, which is lukewarm, at best.

The King's bath, which I considered to be the premium option I paid for, was only accessible through a literal hole in a wall. To top it off, I got the distinct impression that the facility's staff hadn't been notified of my premium package. They seemed even less pleased at my entering of the King's bath than the main spa itself. Deplorable.

I did manage a short dip when the surly attendant turned his back, which helped revitalise after the long bus ride. However, it was a bittersweet moment of relaxation. I found myself stood in my pants in the sauna for at least 20 minutes before my attendant happened by with a dry robe. To boot, he was quite insistent that I leave the premises at this point.

In the time I spent waiting, and simply getting to the spa, however, I did happen across a number of fascinating displays. These covered interesting historical details, beautiful artifacts, and a plethora of information covering the history of the site. It was thoroughly captivating and beautifully displayed. Honestly, I feel the site is wasted as a spa and would be better suited as a historical destination and museum. Perhaps that's a change the proprietors will make in the future.

There is no wonder that the line at the entrance stretched all across the town square. This is definitely a sight worth seeing. The audio guides are very handy and easy to navigate but I was even more impressed how the exposition seamlessly meshes with the excavated remains. They have 3D projections that show visitors what the traffic at the place would look like back in the 1st and 2nd century AD. It was all very realistic and informative. Photography was at times difficult because many of the rooms are dark, enclosed spaces but a skilled photographer would surely be able to get around that. Highly recommend.
