The roman bath was a natural hot water spring converted into a bath by the romans. The water was hot due to geothermal energy of the earth's crust. The exhibits were nice and we also got to taste the water which had a metallic taste. Overall it was an interesting visit.

Great exhibit! Take advantage of the audio tour to learn details on each stop of the exhibit. There is much more to this site than just the pool. You learn how it worked (powered by the only hot spring in England) how it was used, who used it and how it expanded over the years. Within the exhibit building you are able to see actual foundations of the original structures around the baths. Nice touch! I would leave yourself two hours to get through everything without skipping sections. Crowds could slow you down. Gift shop was a mob scene when I was there, so plan accordingly.

Fantastic experience. Quite pricey, but I thought it was worth it. Spent approximately 4hrs here, could have been longer. Visited during the week, lesd busy. Just marvel at the history, architecture and preservation of this place.

Something you have to see while you're in town. The social distancing was done well here and felt safe throughout. The museum offers free audio tours and has lots of information with a special most for kids. Took us about an hour and a half to get through which isn't too bad for the price. Nice little piece of history. Recommend a visit here if you're in town.

Cram packed with enough history to fill a Roman Bath house! Loved going in the evening with the torches lit, it added that extra charm to it. Tasted the water at the end of the tour which was an experience, unfortunately no diving was allowed in the bath, found that out the hard way

Super

If you love your roman history, you won't be disappointed. Full of amazing works, architecture and historical significance. You get to touch and feel the exact walls and statues that the people of the time of its creation did. I was truly impressed and very grateful to be apart of it. Well priced and great layout.

Stunning piece of history, beautifully preserved / restored. The free audio guide (included with the entry ticket) is great and there's a children version too. There are some wonderful added comments by Bill Bryson. The site is evocative and atmospheric, some actors in full costume are there too, giving an idea of what the baths were like back in the day, and the hot spring is still a fascinating as ever. It would be a crime not to visit if you're in Bath.

Fantastic history, well set out with a great audio tour. It was hard to get round as a disabled person as it was very rough underfoot in places but as a historic site it would be difficult to make totally disabled friendly. It takes about 2.5 hrs to get round the exhibition but it was very crowded when we visited which made it slower.

A lovely historical artifact in the middle of busy bustling town. It's magnificent and especially when the flames are set in the torches around the bath looks very regal.Audioguides are free with ticket purchase but I guess person handing it on the counter should brief a bit about it as not everyone had used one before it is comfortable with evolving technologies. There is a souvenir store inside and at the exit of the Roman Bath. I think it's little overpriced though

Very cool experience and friendly staff to explain what we re seeing. It was a very informative self guided tour, but a few employees were there to do a guided tour if desired. Really cool to see the history of Bath through the exhibit. My fave part were the actual notes thrown into the hot springs from ~30 AD. You could drink the spring water at the end in the Pump Room too (but it tasted funny for sure)!

If your going to bath, you have to grab a ticket for The Roman Baths (you can also buy tickets for the Art Gallery and Fashion Museum using the Saver Ticket). A typical duration for this trip would be around 2-3 hours depending on how fast you go through. There is a free audio guide and number guide to explain different parts of the tour. There is no time limit for a tour around the museum. The Baths are fantastic and there is a huge amount to see, viewing the images I have taken for this trip you can see how beautiful and well preserved the artefacts are. I would highly recommend coming here. The best ticket as I mentioned above is the Saver ticket, which includes all three museums in bath for a couple of pounds more expensive. Great half a day out.

The first thing to do in Bath with the exceptionally long queue. But overall nice experience with self guided tours according to chosen language and some hired actors to engage with visitors on the historical site.

One of the UN heritage sites, was one of the main reason for us as a family to visit Bath city. Overall great experience, very well maintained museum, plenty of facilities and things to do with family. Also very informative from historical perspective. End to end trip can take 2 to 2.5 hours, also there are plenty of eating out options once you are out of the museum. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic experience at the Roman baths. So much history and so many things to see. Really incites the imagination walking around and reading all about it. The audio guides were actually a nice touch, I was a bit apprehensive about using it but it wasn't information overload. Not the cheapest experience but took us a good few hours and we probably could have spent a bit longer there. All in all a good afternoon.

I was not impressed, I do not know what I was expecting, but I maybe thought it was going to be greater than what it was for what I was charged.
It was all clean and with good facilities. The gift shop I felt was a bit overly priced.
I do not think it would be totally wheelchair accessible as there were so many steps throughput.
I found the restaurant a bit pricey.
Good place to bring your kids, just make sure you have plenty of funds!!!
I particularly liked the detailed audio-tour and that it was available in different languages.
