This visit to the Roman baths was part of the Belmond British Pullman excursion by luxury train, from London Victoria to Bath Spa. Although the baths were very crowded, the audio-guided tour was quite informative and provided many insights into the history, architecture and cultural significance of the site.

Fascinating ruin with active excavation, film projections in the individual rooms, coins and other objects found on site. I recommend it for anyone interested in Roman and British history.

Beautiful place with amazing history. Really worth the visit. You should have at least three hours Time to visit this place. And the headphones are recommended, you get so much more info with them.

Always a pleasure to visit the Roman baths and museum. The audio guide is free but it's much more enjoyable without and things are nicely explained on signs any way. You get an excellent view of the cathedral too.

The baths have been very well kept. There were actors setting the scene at the large bathing pool which was a lovely addition to the experience. The gift shop was nice, and you can even drink some of the warm spring water at a designated drinking station (but not the water in the baths due to algal blooms!).

The place can get crowded and waiting to get inside can take long but we were lucky to be the first ones in so that wasn't much trouble for us. It's not extremely expensive but not extremely affordable either. I really enjoyed the audio guide that was given to us upon arrival. The baths were beautiful especially the main "open air" one. At some parts it was a bit smelly and the water tou can drink tastes like metal AKA warm blood. Non the less I had an amazing experience it was mesmerising. The staff members were super nice kinda lost my phone and they found it and gave it to me.

BELIEVE THE HYPE! The Roman Baths are a must for anyone visiting Bath. I ve been twice in the past year and would eagerly return a third time. It s a great attraction for people of any age fun, kid-friendly, and wheelchair-accessible. The site itself is beautiful, and the history encapsulated there is amazing. The audio guide enhances each portion of the attraction nicely. I particularly liked the Bill Bryson audio tour. Gift shop was lovely too. Don t forget to taste some of the spa water at the end of your tour!

Great place for a 2 to 3 hour tour don't forget to take your head phones as the hand held guide is great info so if you don't have headphone you'll end up holding it like a phone to your ear.
The tour was great fun more then what I expected.

Good crowds Control overall wonderful experience would definitely recommend seeing this place.

It's amazing and worth the tour, well presented audio or hourly guided. The entire upper structure is made to recreate and preserve the original lower strata. It's about 20% Roman era and the rest is recreated for the masses along with replica engravings and masonry work.

Excellent place to visit, I didn't expect much but it took a long time to get round the site. They provide baby carriers and I noticed lifts for wheel chairs, but not sure how much you can see. If you have balance issues, you might have difficulty around the main bath but most of the route is in good condition. If you are in the area, it is a must visit, very good value for money.

After going to bath for many years and never seeing the Roman baths, went with my brother and all of our kids. It was a lovely outing, really enjoyed looking at all the beautiful old buildings and wandering around some history.

Amazing! The only tiny problem, is that it is difficult to imagine the layout, as you move from room to room. However, the audioguide and use of both archaeological finds and technology in the exhibitions really help the story come to life

Very accomodating to people with disabilities.

Very accomodating to people with disabilities.
Very beautiful settings, and the guide they give you is bespoke, so if you don't want to listen, move on!
Be careful of tourists with no spatial awareness, it can get a bit crowded in some places.

This is a stunning exhibition that provides insights into Roman life and the value of the curative mineral water coming from hot springs. Try to avoid on the weekend when it is overcrowded.

Very busy when we arrived, however the layout of the interactive exhibits and sheer splendour of the site enables one to immerse in the story and lose the crowds. Excellent disabled facilities, though uneven walking surfaces.

If you are into roman history, this is the place in England to visit. The whole tour of Roman Baths is intriguing. It s fascinating to how they built such a beautiful community space so long ago.
