Food was tasty, beer was good, but ordering took forever, paying took forever, and the bathroom doors didn't work.

Great beer and awesome selection of classic arcade games. Food looks great too, gotta go back to try it!
This place was pretty fun. They had a great beer selection and good food. I felt like a kid again they had all the video games from when I was growing up. I can keep going to this place. But I would have to say you need to play the 4 player Miss Pacman, it's the best.. My only real complaint about the place is that it was way to crowded. I suggest going durning the week. But beside that I had a great time, and I will be back...
Huge selection of beers coupled with retro arcade machines
Flashback to the ole arcade days . Great fun . Good food. And the beers are all unique!!!
The food is garbage, and some of the games need controls replaced, but still, there's good beer and excellent classic video games.
Cool atmosphere, nice retro arcade games. Food Is decent as well as the drinks... but i personally feel the music they play sucks at all the Barcade in NYC. Very one dimensional when it comes to music.
Wine was amazing, mixed drinks as well and the arcade games was a plus. (Being drunk and attempting to drive a racecar is debatable)
Cavernous space loaded with video games of ages bygone. Great draft beer selection
Super busy. Nice collection of older arcade games. Some of the buttons and joysticks need work. But it's 25 cents
Fun place during the week. Way too crowded and way to expensive for a Friday night though
Not as good as the old Playland arcades on the old Duece, but with bar and food, how can you beat that. Love this place!
I love this place so much I can not wait to go here again. The food was AMAZING and not pricey at all. My boyfriend and I went during a happy hour so beers were not expensive at all. I also like this place a lot because they have different beer to choose from constantly. Thus place let me relive my childhood while playing these retro arcade games and also let me have a great 21st birthday.
Loud and dirty. I saw the dishwasher merely rinsing glasses (not even all the way for tall glasses). Definitely health code violators. Would not revisit.
Decent games. Pac man battle royal and golden axe were the best of course. Better in the afternoon before it becomes invades by the well coiffed.
Really fun. Perfect place to break up any awkwardness on a first date. The earlier in the day you can get there the better. Pretty chaotic at night.
Beer is great games are legit food is awesome prices are fair service is good
Retro gaming a beers, what else can you ask in NYC? great place
Fun place with many beer options and a lot of fun games to play.
First time there. Love being tipsy n playing all the retro games.
Great side street bar with a very nice atmosphere, selling all sorts of different beers and ales, it has lots of different retro video arcade machines all over the place, very friendly staff who are prepared to go e you advice on the different beers that they sell, great vibe and definitely recommend if you fancy a drink in new york
Pretty cool place to play arcades, bartender is pretty cool as well.
Brings back fun memories of oldschool arcade games of the 70 s- 90 s. Bring friends. They have good selection of drinks and food.
Get your game on! Plenty of 25 cent games! So much fun!
Cool place worth the visit. Just chill and laugh with your friends!
Its an ok place. Beers are warm the glasses are dirty
Randomly/spontaneously decided to check this place out when we drove past it. Pretty cool, small place. Most games are at least $0.50. Beer only bar, but I just found out through Yelp that this place has wine slushy?! WHAAAT!! I need to come back for that. Maybe if I drank one, two, or ten of those, I would've had more fun haha... but the popular games were usually occupied. I wish there were more arcade games that I knew.
Fun for everyone. Something different and fun for date night
This place is great. Awesome beers and all the games worked! Fun spot!
Great retro fun to go with friend and lots of drinks and beer selections.
Awesome spot, great collection of games and an wide spread of beers - if you are even somewhat into either, check it out!
This place serves food and has video games for a great price. Beers are nice and it's a fun crowd.
Such a fun place! This is the cleanest barcade I've been to and have the most game! Lots of old games and fun new ones! Personally loved a 4 person pac man game. 4 person pac man?! What?! Yes! Hi play and compete with your friends.
There isn't that many places to sit, so if you have a big group, I suggest calling in advance to reserve spots. Also, wear comfortable shoes!
They do serve food and of course being a barcade, lots of drink options. Definitely go check it out.
The chicken/waffle grilled cheese is the best sandwich I've ever had. My boyfriend and I had a lot of fun here!
Been here several times. Cool vibe, awesome old school gaming machines, and really good craft beer
Thumbs up
There are a few games that are really fun to play, but becuase of the crowds its hard to find a chance to play for a long time. Would be better if they had multiple machines of the popular games.
Nice beer selection, food was a little bit greasy, many arcades to play, fun place.
Went for my friends birthday, really fun and lots of cool games. They have a bunch of multiplayer games too which is even cool for people that aren't that into games
The drinks are okay
Don t use the ATM.....it ll just take your money. Don t get got
Such a fun place! I got hooked on Mortal Kombat here. The food prices aren't terrible, and you don't even have to order anything if you don't want to. Nice place to game or chill depending on your mood. Good atmosphere. Friendly employees and customers as well. You can't bring kids in here though. I saw a lot of people with kids get turned away. This is a bar. No, you can't give your kids some quarters and have them play games while you drink. Take them to a movie or something.
Old school gaming. Always a good way to kill time and chill. Lots of cheap games.
Ever wonder what happened to all those old arcade machines? A good number of them found their way here. Don't expect to find every machine you ever played on in your younger days but you will find a lot of the old classics here and a whole lot more.
Pretty cool spot. Went on an off peak day and had a very nice date night.
Top notch! One of the best in the nation as far as retro arcades go. Barcades are just the best. High standard of retro gaming. Whoever owns and runs these is a true retro gamer, of the people.
Tons of great games and good food, decently priced for Manhattan. The standout game to me was an analog version of pong that was strange but super fun
Good selection of craft beers and arcade games. You exchange cash for tokens (not quarters), and most games range from 2-4 tokens per play. They offer a bunch of multiplayer games (i.e. more than 2 players) like X-Men, The Simpsons, and Daytona 500, so come with a group, relax and hang out! There's a spot on the side of each arcade cabinet to place your beer on, very convenient.
Interesting place, but not into fancy beers anymore
It's an arcade with a bar. Good beer selection, great video game selection... Serving up nostalgia to all of us that grew up with video games.
Noisy, crowded, but a good time. Solid beer selection.
Good beer, fun games, but kind of too loud for a conversation during popular times.
Super fun!! Takes me back to my Atari & NES youth. That Golden Axe is still AND YOUR TOKEN LASTS! Some games I thought were here last time but not anymore like TMNT and 1943...
Some games are timed and are a waste of money..like Bubble Bobble and excitebike. Also beware the Cyclops & Colossus side of the OG Xmen game don't work... it'll steal your token
Was it very busy? Yes. Very loud? Yes. Were the drinks very strong? Also yes. My friend always has her birthday parties her because a bunch of people can come, chat for a while then screw off playing galaga or something.
Great service, great drinks, what more can you ask for?
Came here after getting engaged in New York, amazing idea, wish there was more in England!
Great variety of arcade games. Came on a Saturday night and wasn't as packed so we had a chance to play some games. They now use a token system so you need to change your money for tokens to use for the machines. Inside was fairly bright for a bar but considering you're going to need to the games, I can see why it's bright.
Love this place. Retro feel, great times w friends and a bit different from the norm.
Went here with my friends of over a decade and had a blast displaced is very fun and so crowded we need more bartenders it was impossible to place an order the vibe is very nice there are extremely understaffed and that cannot be good for business we ended up taking our drink orders somewhere else.
Very safe and clean foods good and great arsenal of beers
Food and drinks were disappointing.. and it was so cold I felt uncomfortable
Very unique experience- I ve been to a lot of bars in my life but never anything like this. A great stop if you re with a group!
Service was meh
Food was meh
The machines need maintenance
Retro gaming and great tasting ale. What more does a man need. Need bars like this here in the UK!!
I like the ever rotating beer list. The atmosphere is a combination of the great retro arcades and dive bar.
Great beers and they have 4 player Pacman. Only issue is no quarters. They use custom coins that you have to use there.
Great beer selection, pretty good food, and dope games. Even if it gets crowded, people are moving around and you're able to play games and have fun.
This place could be so great if their staff had better attitudes. Came here for a work event, and one of the staff treated me like a problem the whole time. Didn't say one word when I asked for a beer or asked for water. Barely acknowledged me there when it was around 1p in the afternoon on a weekday. It honestly felt like it was purposeful.
I get some patrons can be tiresome or rude, but I know my team were kind and respectful. It just put a sour note on a special day. What a shame...
This place is a lot of fun and we might be coming back very soon. The food was great, the games were amazing and the service was fantastic.
It was super crowded. Not really my type of atmosphere.
Awesome. Drinks and video games, what more could you want?
The site is very good and has enough arcade machines in very good condition to play. But beware, being an American site and selling alcohol, children under 21 are prohibited from accessing it. A pity, but I suppose we see it with a European mentality.
It's fine. A bit too loud if you want to be social.
Awesome spot. Good drinks, fun games, good bartenders. Special shout out to four player Pac Man!
Awesome bar if your in a mood to play some vintage arcades. Always have a great craft beer list. And the food is good.
So much fun! Retro games and suped up games like 4 player pacman. great selection of beers too.
Plenty of arcade games and a huge craft beer selection.
This bar offers a variety of beers and ciders (which seem to rotate pretty often) and a bunch of classic arcade game selections. The prices are pretty standard for the area, so you're looking at about $7 or more for a drink.
The games aren't usually taken up even on busy nights like Friday and Saturday. Playing some of the multiplayer games makes for a good ice breaker if your looking to meet people. Bit of a warning though about the busier nights--it's loud and extremely crowded. When I say crowded, I mean you could be waiting 10 to 15 minutes outside for a chance to get in. As for the loud part, they play mostly rock music that competes with the crowd. Groups tend to take up the few tables available for most of the night. It's definitely a place you come to with friends to unwind after a long week.
The take away--if your looking for a quiet night of gaming and drinking, this isn't the place for you, but if you're into a variety of beers, don't mind standing around for most of the night, and enjoy mingling then give Barcade a shot.
Best night (when it's not completely dead but not ungodly crowded): Thursday
A awesome place to hang out with classic arcades that we grow up with plus it's also a bar /\/\.
