Very rich beer and a quantity of arcades in perfect quality.
Very rich beer and a quantity of arcades in perfect quality.
It was ok, me and my friend had to buy food in order to order a drink and wait for our ride.
Always a fun time!!! $5.00 goes a long way with the games and I LOVE IT!! The beers they have are always great! I tried a burger too, so good! Very filling. For just about $25.00 you can have a great meal, dring, and fun. Good place for just hanging out. I like that their music wasn t overly loud too.
Full of 1980s video games and some interesting beers.
Met a few friends here for games and eats. I had heard a lot about it and the place doesn't disappoint. Just as a bar I suppose it's all right. Wooden floors, open rafter type ceiling with little air conditioning. A few tables scattered about to supplement the decently long bar. But then there's the arcade games. That obviously makes it stand out a little bit from a normal bar. It also drives a fairly different audience than your normal sports bars that populate the city.
There are too many games for me to list but some of the standouts for me were: Donkey Kong, Ms. Pac Man (which seemed very fast), Daytona USA (two seats), Pong (non-original cocktail table), and a couple Star Wars games. Most of the games work great but there are a handful that could use some refurbishment. One that sticks out in my mind is this two player trackball basketball game where one player has a stuck button. Sadly it becomes impossible to play.
The food I had here was great. I had a fried chicken on waffle sandwich with a side of tater tots. The sandwich tasted as great as it sounds with maple syrup butter dipping sauce. If I call that great then I have to call the tots super duper great. Wonderfully crisp outside seasoned perfectly with nice hot insides. AND THEY WERE SHAPED LIKE TETRIS TETROMINOES. It doesn't get any better than that for an arcade themed restaurant bar! :)
My son dj loves it there we took the train there and back. Good eats
Not sure there are many things better than alcohol and retro video games in one room but Barcade was great! Extensive beer and whiskey selection and they had Ghouls and Ghosts. A+.
Retro arcade machine all over the place. Very different from other bars. The service was nice. Several tables outdoor. The price of the beers a bit high
If there s an arcade place, then I will find it. Great for happy hour or just mashing some buttons. Tetris tots looked better than they tasted - really crunchy. Eh.
Good lunch specials and the tater tots are a great throwback as well. Beers rotate in & out so there's always new stuff to try. Only frustrating thing is that you need to use their tokens in tge games instead of quarters. In the end... Beer, classic arcades, decent pub food. What's not to like :)
Great vibe and atmosphere... Beer selection is top notch
Plenty of games and good drinks, can get crowded on weekends and can be tough to get a chance to play anything but the less popular games
Great beer selection with detailed descriptions on the menu. The bartender was friendly and attentive. We came hoping there would be games like Skee-Ball but it is all video games. Still a cool spot & plenty of room to move around & check things out or sit at the bar.
Love coming here, totally a place to be and always having a blast. The bartenders are always the best and the cocktails taste amazing too.
Heaps of fun. I have never been beaten at Daytona. I only wish the beer was more drinkable. There is such a thing as too much craft, and that line was crossed a long way back for this bar.
Every beer I had was great! Can't go wrong with the tater tots either.
Such a fun place, however, it was very crowded on a Saturday in early March, around 4 PM. The bar was so busy that the two bartenders couldn t get to my or my group for over 10 minutes. The games were great, but again, due to the crowd, it was hard to move around or even get the chance to play. Worth the visit, just beware it gets crowded!
Awesome place with retro video games. Reasonably priced drinks for Manhattan.
Omg what's better than beer and classic video games?! I'll wait...
Lots of fun arcade games, especially the multiplayer Pacman game where you can face up to 5 other players. However, beware of broken games as they ate up some of our tokens. They also have shot and beer drink specials. The deep fried Oreos were good, with a side of marshmallow fluff.
Great bar plus classic video games from the 80's and 90's. What more could you want for a fun night out? Bring Quarters.
GAMES TO GOOD. GET THE TOTS AND THE BACON. BEER. SO MUCH BEER.
I go here for my birthday every year.
Can be crowded at certain times but a very relaxing place
Some of the machine don't work but they will give a refund if you tell the employees
It was ok not really much activity on a Tuesday night
Vintage arcade games, awesome pinball. Good food. Fantastic staff. We went as a group for an evening of fun and a great time was had by all. Gets loud and rowdy in a good way!
Cool place, seats are always on reservation having a seat for a drink is almost impossible.
Great atmosphere. Impressive selection of games. Very entertaining overall
Great place good drinks. The arcade was great few old games and a couple of new ones.
This place is fun, a lot of good memories from childhood.
Great games, great selection of beer, great location. One of my favorite places in Manhattan.
Really crowded, slow service. Nice selection of beers but the good stuff almost always gets "kicked" but it wasn't even 8pm yet!
Great selection of beers and games! Each game takes one token (25cents each) can't argue with that
This is hands down the best arcade in NYC for adults. The bartenders are polite and courteous despite how busy they are on a Saturday night. And the selection of games is beyond reproach. I love coming here.
Decent food, fun games, cheap. The best barcade is Swillburger in Rochester, NY
Very good place to spend some time the only detail is very few video game machines
Great beer selection, friendly staff, and lots of fun games. I was surprised by how well kept the games were as well.
Excellent staff, delicious beers juicy burgers and great shakes
Fun bar with old style arcade games ranging from pinball to classic racing car.
Plenty of draft beers available at decent prices. Expect it to be busy but that all creates a great atmosphere.
Beers range from $8-$10 and each game play is a quarter dollar. There is a change machine in the corner as you walk in where you can switch up your paper notes to coins.
Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks.
The games are nostalgic which is great. Very busy so you can't get to all the games.
I love playing ms pac man here and they have an excellent cider on draft
Fun bar, pretty solid selection of arcade cabinets. Gets busy.
The bar has a mix of classic and some modern arcade games. A Variety of beers on tap. Bring a lot of singles for the change machine. The only seating is located infront.
Drinks are made well, bartenders are not pretentious at all and you can grab a fast drink. I don't even play the video games and I keep going back!
A great spot for retro gaming, beers, and decent food. The chicken waffle sandwich isn t included in their 15 lunch menu but it s stacked and tasted great. Lost a star for questionable fountain drinks though, far too much syrup going on there!
Very frikis, very to spend a good time remembering the games of childhood!
Lots of old school games and good food. Great place to relax
Barcade has never been vibe, if someone can explain the appeal please let me know
Vintage arcade cabinets paired with one of the best beer lists in Chelsea.
Remember going to the arcade as a kid with your friends? Now add a full bar and you have barcade!
A wonderful place. Laid back atmosphere with a good amount of arcade games. Philly cheese steak egg rolls are the bomb.
Had a very fun time here on my last visit to NY. Will definitely return.
The staff is great. Many arcade games, the place is spacious, great beer menu. Noisy but friendly! In the top !
A lot of great classic arcade games in a bar! What more could you ask for?
Staff always seems nice, but the crowds can get offensive
Great if you like retro arcade games. Very loud inside and the drinks weren't great though.
So much fun. Friendly and attentive bartenders. Great beer and old school arcade games. #mk2
Old skool arcade games with a really great selection of beers. This is the place to go if you have a spare night in NY. We came for a quick look before dinner and stayed until 2am! Back to my childhood with the addition of beer, amazing!
2/12/16:
This was my first time going here and I had a great time. Classic games like Tron and Star Wars are there. I had a Harpoon U.F.O White and Finback Crescent Fresh and they were both good, though I liked Harpoon better. Atmosphere is relaxed.
Brings back memories of arcade. Some of the games are way too old. More pinballs would be good. Simpsons as well. More 4+ player coops. Tons of beer options. A bit tight with too many people when I was there on a Wednesday night.
A spin-off of a Williamsburg bar, this hang has vintage video games (Pac-Man, Donkey Kong) & beer.
The Bartender was ridiculously rude. He was rolling his eyes before we got to the bar. We were judged before we even paid for a drink. We came in very happy and nostalgic, because of the 89-90's games and were completely disappointed by the service from the bartender and barback. The barback at one point practically challenged me to a fight. He called the same Bartender a "Dick" behind his back and then began to yell at us on the way out.
Polite Bartender, Great Burger and Fries and Ole School Arcade Games like Fix it Felix
Cool vibe and a nice range of some vintage arcade games. Gets quite crowded on a Saturday though
Great service, great game selection, everything is laid back and reasonably priced. Excellent way to spend a weeknight when it isn't too busy.
This place is awesome. Lots of beer on tap and so many games. Also room to sit and converse between gaming.
Fun place to end your night... great beer and bar food mixed with old school video games!
