Definitely liked this place. Affordable beers even in the middle of the city. Their food is passable, but be more importantly, they some really cool old-school arcade games. Be sure to have cash in hand.

Wouldn't mind going back. Large beer selection. Didn't taste the food, but it looked good. Music was loud but is otherwise a good place to meet up with friends and hang out. Games were classic.

Had a great time with co-workers here! The only reason for 4 stars is that the beer was weirdly weak and a few of the machines kept eating our coins. The two roads beer, victory ipa, and one of the other ipa's tasted like water, along with the whiskey sour tasting like fruit. Not sure what it was but I've never had an ipa taste so watered down before.

This was a fun bar to go to with a group of friends. Beers were reasonably priced. There were a ton of craft beers on tap. Bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly. The menu was comprehensive and informative to help order a beer you would enjoy.

Excellent place! Unlike what I expected, they don't just rely on the gimmick of being an arcade and bar in one. The bartenders are super nice and get your drink quickly (at least on a Thursday). Rather large selection of draft beers, especially for a bar not touted as a "biergarten" (blech) and even a cask.
Food is pretty great. I try to be pescetarian, but I cheated and ate a wing because it looked so damn good. Sue me, it was worth it. Fish tacos are on point.
The games are all in pretty great condition as well. PacMan is always good for a fun, competitive time, though you'll burn through your tokens rather quickly.

How have I not known about this place!? Barcade has classic video games with a wide selection of craft beer. There are plenty of arcade machines to play at $.25 each. This is a great place to bring a group of friends where you can eat, drink, & play. Plenty of tables to sit and wasn't crowded at all when I went in the evening. I'll be back with more friends to tackle that X-Men game.

They only charge a quarter per play! This is unheard of for anything in NYC except bananas.

Their selection is quite good, and thankfully focused on classic games. They offer classics like Space Invaders and Joust, and mainstays like Tetris. (How many versions of Tetris are there?) Not so much 90s games like racer after racer or DDR. This place is not about cutting-edge graphics. They only have one real racer, which is for the better because it forces players to venture out. There's a cute, cheesy 80s game that uses prerecorded clips to look like a movie. And most importantly, they have the original Super Mario Bros.!!!

I was surprised by the variety of offerings, which encouraged me to try new things and give seemingly-odd titles a try. Slither seemed rather boring, but turned out to be eminently bizarre and thrilling. If you browse you'll surely find some surprises!

This is obviously great for groups, and a considerable majority of games offer two player (X-Men does six). With some of them, you wouldn't even think it's possible and it's probably not even a good idea! (Try the wall climber, which requires two players to control a dude's different limbs). This adds to the hilarity and corniness that helps make gaming what it is.

There's no cover and I didn't buy any drinks. No pushy staff I never had to interact with an employee!

So much fun!!! My team and I had our organization's holiday party here a couple weeks ago and it was so fun. Food was on point, and it was nice to have the option of sitting and talking or playing games with friends. Overall about 40 of us came through. Definitely recommend.

Great if you like to play video games on retro consoles while drinking craft beer.

It's a fun date spot and has a nice food selection too if you get hungry. The games aren't too challenging, so it's fun for a gamer of any level.

Good job with the atmosphere guys!

A chain bar / arcade in NYC. Some classic arcade games like Xmen Crazy Taxi and Pac Man and some others that I don't remember but you may enjoy. Pretty good beer selection. Be of age and don't bring any outside food or drink. They'll make you toss it. Fair enough though.

This place is really cool when it's not busy, but I have to give it 4 just because they haven't laid out the floor plan for the bar well. When busy it's just impossible to stay for very long. A+ if it's empty.

This place is undone by it's popularity. The place is always too crowded to even get to most of the games, let alone play them. So the only thing left is the bar, and the options are the bar leave a bit to be desired.

A bar with old-school video game machines. If you are a man, you are more to come with people to have a laugh than to flirt there, because I did not see girls but the ones who worked in the place. Or if you are a woman, the perfect place to find retrogamers and take all your eyes and attention. Don't go to clubs looking for louts, unless you prefer that. Go to the Barcade there will be less pretentious and more authentic people.

Great selection of both beers and games. It's a really casual, if not crowded, place to get pretty good bar food and hang out for a while playing games. If you are a beer fan, then you'll want to check out what they have on the hand drawn cask selection. You'll find classic games like Donkey Kong and Joust, all for just a quarter.

Pros:

Pros:
-good variety in rotating beer selection
-lots of space to put down your drink while playing a game
-lots of games to play
-fun atmosphere

Cons:
-can get very crowded
-woefully small bar area
-not enough of the right kinds of games
-rarely room to sit or put coats/bags

Overall it s a fun spot but not one I go to regularly.

Nice bar where you can grab a drink and play a good variety of arcade games with friends. *They check your ID before you can enter.
The games all require these tokens to play or u can use quarters. They have exchange machines inside for the tokens in case you dont have any coins. Some of the games required more tokens than the others. Overall, it was a nice place to visit.
